error was spotted, i forgot to paste a line code is compiling fine now: git clone https://github.com/Arux-BTT/wolf-aeon-miner your_local_folder cd your_local_folder git branch substantial_performance_increase make latest win64 build is solving the high cpu usage. https://github.com/Arux-BTT/wolf-aeon-miner/releasesThanks Arux. Still no go here though. I'm now getting this: main.c: In function ‘SetupXMRTest’: main.c:502:8: error: unknown type name ‘cl_queue_properties’ const cl_queue_properties CommandQueueProperties[] = { 0, 0, 0 };

Have dependencies on the miner changed since the last iteration? I cloned from Arux's substantial_performance_increase branch, copied relevant include and lib directories for the SDK stuff, as I've done before, but when trying make I get this: main.c:1104:25: error: ‘QueueMutex’ undeclared (first use in this function) pthread_mutex_lock(&QueueMutex); Any help appreciated. Sorry , i make a mistake on one of the last six commit. I'm afk until this evening (perhaps tomorrow). The last commit tested successfully is the c456fa3828. Use it until i found the error: must rollback at non buggy code. No bother. Thanks for doing it at all!

I'm mining this coin. I've pointed a machine when i saw that blocks were not found since last year. The miner couldn't find any block for days, because the diff was very high. Now it's running nice and finding blocks.
Mdawg do you still need help to point your miner in solo? Feel very sorry for you...i've got my MRY out of cryptsy a couple of months ago. I still have there some coins...about .07BTC value at current rates.
We really need bholzer back or someone that takes this project seriously. Now we only have cryptopia with murray listed. If bholzer doesn't have time at the moment, just say it, but let people without any new is not the way to go (and say hello and run away again is a joke or what?). I'm not a person that asks a dev every second posting and developing things (crypto right now is like that), I just need to feel that the dev is with the community...now a few holders that believed in you holzer. So, make people believe in this coin again and don't let it die. Help the murray foundation was and still being a good purpose.
Sorry for my english. Regards
I do not think it would not be a good idea to seek bholzer out if you are wanting to resurrect this coin. He abandoned it, then stuck his nose in around November to do nothing more than mock those who had supported this coin. He's clearly not a reliable individual.

Given the poll results so far, does anyone agree that more time should be spent on finding the best name?
Maybe those interested could submit 3 ideas each by a particular date, or something like this. Even then, the final name wouldn't need to be one of those, but it could help trigger more ideas from people. It just seems a bit rushed to me, and re-branding is not something that should be done on a whim.

Is it possible to check the PoW network hashrate anywhere?
The most comprehensive block explorer is https://emercoin.mintr.org/stats and on that page you can see current difficulty. That explorer is great because you can also search Emercoin's NVS. For example, to see all the registered *.emc and *.coin domains: https://emercoin.mintr.org/nvsThanks, been there though. I'm looking for the network hashrate in particular. Can it be calculated from the difficulty?

Thanks for this information. I did a bit more research but can't find a block explorer. Cryptopia says "It's dead Jim" https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/BlockExplorer?coin=EMCIs there an official block explorer? Pools are all broken except the main one owned by emercoin themselves. I've never heard of the exchange: https://www.livecoin.net/trade/indexso I would have to research them more to find out their reputation. Is anyone using this coin? It seems to be made by Russians so maybe the Russian community is larger and I have no idea. Click on Community on the official website, emercoin.com. You'll find block explorers, mining pools and more exchanges.

Hello
I'm interested in giving this a go. Already have i2p but Linux Mint repo has Mono 3.2.8+dfsg-4ubuntu1.1.
Do you know if this will work? If not, any advice or a link on how to get Mono 4.0.4 installed on Mint would be appreciated.
Thanks
Hmm. i'm mostly familiar with ubuntu only =( Have you already looked repos from http://www.mono-project.com/docs/getting-started/install/linux/ ? Are there any errors with 3.2.8? 4.0.4 for the stable work, i guess you can try with what you have. Thanks for the link. With Mono 3.2.8, BitMoney seemed to crash before I could start mining. I installed Mono 4.0.4 and managed to start mining for a short time before it also crashed with the following: 2015-11-09 12:23:10.9667|TRACE|BitMoneyClient.Lib.ProxyServerSessionOverI2P|CreateInstance success 2015-11-09 12:26:06.8101|FATAL|BitMoneyClientGui.BitMoneyClientProgram|UnhandledException System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object at System.Threading.Timer+Scheduler.SchedulerThread () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at System.Threading.Thread.StartInternal () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 [ERROR] FATAL UNHANDLED EXCEPTION: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object at System.Threading.Timer+Scheduler.SchedulerThread () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at System.Threading.Thread.StartInternal () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 I had one miner instance running with two threads. It was adding a second miner instance that it crashed.

I have nothing against Aeon but am confused about why it has been doing better than Boolberry recently on Bitrrex.
Boolberry has less coins in circulation (slower mining reward schedule) so I would expect its price to be higher even if the two coins were the same. Boolberry actually has lot more features, a larger community and has been around longer.
What do you think?
Dev activity, or lack of it here, explains all in my opinion.

Hi guys,
Thanks for your interest in I/O Digital - I/O Coin. Welcome!
When we release the new HTML5 wallet, there will be official releases and support for Windows and OSX. You are able to compile a Linux wallet yourselves. We will have instructions on how to do that. We will - probably - compile one ourselves too. Source code will be available yes.
The old QT will NOT continue to work when HTML5 is released.
If you have any questions, please ask.
Cheers Richard
Thanks for the info Richard. Much appreciated.

I was not disputing the existence or use of QT wallets in the future. No QT, fine. I'm asking if there will ever be a Linux compatible wallet. Excuse my ignorance, but is HTML5 not compatible with Linux?
Will the source be available post release?
|
|
|
Are these new wallets closed source? No github updates since July...
Edit: In fact, no real updates on github for one year.
|
|
|
Is there a plan for a Linux wallet release, or maybe someone has build instructions?
Hi, there is no linux wallet and we are not creating one. Even the QT wallet will be discontinued when we release the second version of the HTML5 wallet. So much more secure, faster, user friendly and extendable with features. Cheers Richard Will that HTML wallet work on Linux? And if not, why there's no love for Linux users? I'm on Linux-only machine (and definitely not planning on running Win as well), so how am I supposed to use IOC? I'd love to stake my coins, but that's impossible.. +1 I see only Windows and OSX HTML5 wallet downloads available. Is there a reason?

Win 7.
Ah, right. Blows my theory out of the water then

Miner is working now but it uses only 60% of the GPU and CPU usage is over 70%.
What CPU, out of curiosity? I've not added a lot of sleeping code to it, so it likely does use a lot of CPU. Still, that sounds a tad high. i5-3570k 280x and 270x What OS are you using and what tool is telling you 70%? It's worth noting, in the Linux Mint that I use, System Monitor %CPU goes all the way up to 800% for CPU usage because I have an 8 core CPU. So if it showed 70% for me, that would be OK. Only 280x and 270x are mining, CPU is not mining and usage is still 70%, it is not normal. Are you using Windows or Linux?
