121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC in crypto, does it really require? on: September 22, 2018, 03:10:27 PM
Do we really need to submit our personal details to ICOs for buying the token or for participating in it's bounty and airdrop?
I always wonder why do we need to give our vital info to ICOs that most are not even likely to come on in crypto space and crypto is all about decentralization but submitting our info has made it look centralized to me.
There is no regulation in crypto yet so why should we give our details to unknow ico organizers, so claim to prevent some region in participating in the ico because of the country law but those ICOs comes from the same region and country that prevent their own citizen from participating, should we say they are using style to rob us or our details is being used for other purpose .
I think it's high time we all need to stop giving our details to ICOs if really the crypto is all about decentralized and their is no regulation in the world yet to really require such details, I will like to know everyone minds about the submission of our details in term of KYC .

Maybe because they need the information about their investors for legal purpose to running the company.
Some of them not allowed to have investor from America for example, and they need the KYC to verify it.
122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: INTERNET = BITCOIN? on: September 21, 2018, 01:43:38 AM
why i made a title like that because basically the internet has the same properties with bitcoin ie:
1. Equally made by humans if bitcoin was made in 2009 by Satoshi Nakamoto, while the Internet was created from a computer network established by the US Department of Defense in 1969.
2. The first equation between Bitcoin and the Internet is that Bitcoin is an efficient, decentralized and moving infrastructure based on protocols open to the public.

and for the difference include:
Bitcoin does not transfer data packets in a dynamic network and circuitry like the one on the internet, but builds trust among users to run its systems efficiently and decentralized.
Although you can argue that the ledger, Bitcoin is "central", it is actually created through decentralized mechanical consensus.
how do you think it all?

Bitcoin need internet to running the network indeed, but i think it doesn't mean internet = bitcoin.
Bitcoin is a currency, which is need internet to operates, unlike paper money. That is my understanding about bitcoin and internet.
123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop allowing manipulators to switch you off and on on: September 21, 2018, 01:32:37 AM
This is what often happens in the cryptocurrency market.

Sometimes you just see the price of the entire market going dip as a result of statement made by one influential person. Such persons are agents of FUD and yet you continue to reverend them because of their past or current achievements. They scare you to sell cheap to them, and later, they reverse their statement through someone else probably their cohorts, then the prices start to skyrocket again, then you start playing catch up to buy again even at prices far above what you sold to them. And the process goes on, starts all over again.

My friend! wise up and stop allowing someone to switch you off and on. You are not a toy robot.

Learn to stand your ground amid such manipulations or low market prices.

The manipulators actually cannot get any profit if none of us affected by this bear market condition.
But we are still human, we have fear. So they can use our fear to make we sell our coin with very low price.
124  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Nowadays, even ordinary laptops can mine bitcoins. on: September 20, 2018, 02:23:44 AM
Because it requires a lot of power and electrical resources are not small, the process of mining (mining) cryptocurrency is usually done with a special computer. Can be a desktop that is fitted with many graphics cards to server farm.

But lately emerged an alternative form of software that allows users with laptops or regular computers to participate in mining without needing to spend to buy expensive devices.

The Honeyminer startup software runs dynamic mining by combining the user's computer into a pool of thousands of other computers. Each computer contributes power to the cryptocurrency mining process.

The "power" donated comes from the computer GPU. If it is not in use, then the computer GPU will be used to participate in processing the mining process together with GPU kompter-other computers incorporated in the pool Honeyminer.

Thus, while the GPU capability of a computer may be small, the combined power of thousands of GPUs can generate significant resources for this collective mining process.

But if you mining it with regular computer, your rewards will be very little, although the pool rewards is big because it is spread to every pool participants.
Unless the bitcoin difficult go lower than the current, it will be hard to mine bitcoin and gain much coin.
125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $300 million transferred for 4 cents in fees! on: September 20, 2018, 01:57:44 AM
Have a look at this transaction: https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/39afcad6c4d0713ed291014315c4dcf2d81334275218c28fd354af45b7395c61.

$300 million transferred, fees of $0.04, confirmation in 4 minutes.

Now imagine the hoops you would have to jump through to transfer $300 million in fiat, the days of delays, the fees, the people you would have to discuss it with first, etc.

Well yes, crypto works like that. No matter how much you want to transfer coin, the fee will remain same.
This is one of the cryptocurrency advantage than fiat currency indeed. But sadly still not too much peoples who using crypto as a currency.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What I do before buying an altcoin! on: September 19, 2018, 02:46:56 AM
So I thoght this could be of help for some that also in search so they will also be inspired .. maybe they could also ad stuff arround here that could be of help!

Research it takes a few days/weeks so if u're in this fase take your time.

1.Forum search about the coin;
2.Join the telegram group and try to interact with the members;
3.Try to make a post on the forum and also see the crowd sentiment;
4.See some data on coinmarketcap.com , : https://icodrops.com/ , https://icorating.com/
5.Watch this tool from investing.com - find here the explination: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2873063.msg29503403#msg29503403
**LATER EDIT:
6. Team - research moust of the members on linkedin and google , also the backers or advisors.

Doing this can be of help to get a sense of a really good buy... at least this is what  I do.

What are your thoughts ? How do you do it??

Cheers!

It is a requirement, you have do your own search about the altcoin you want to buy.
Not doing a proper research may resulting only wasting your money after you bought the coin.
coinmarketcap is the best source to see the statistic of the coin if they already listed there.
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency to be Taught in Schools? on: September 19, 2018, 02:30:53 AM
Hi guys!
I'm pretty sure that many of you have been experiencing difficulty on making other people aware of cryptocurrency and how it works, right? I myself find it hard to explain it even to my own family. Once you mention it to them, the first thing that comes to their mind is that it's a scam. Can't blame them though because the news about crypto scams are always hyped in social media and believe me, even my 70 year old mom has Facebook!

Anyway, I realized that this is the case because there has never really been any formal education about it at all. We knew about it only thru word of the mouth right and we only got to learn it slowly thru experience. This said, I'm thinking, what if it's taught in schools? Perhaps just start with those taking Accountancy or Banking and Finance courses to begin with, then eventually incorporate it to Mathematics subject or whatever in High School? After all, they were able to do that with banking, right? Why not with cryptocurrency? What do you think?

Maybe not now, but later in the near future i guess. When peoples know about cryptocurrency, it will create massive adoption and that will be good.
And if that happening, i am sure that the cryptocurrency value will be far better than currently.
128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People call bitcoin a fraud or ponzi scheme on: September 18, 2018, 01:59:13 AM
Anyone can call it ponzi scheme and fraud but if you think of it, everything worldly is fraud. You buy apple products with thousands of dollars but how much are they really worth? Why would people give out thousands of dollars for a macbook when they can buy a laptop for $300? Is it really worth that much or is it just another ponzi scheme that apple is bringing to the world better gadgets than any other brands? So we're talking about bitcoin now. What are we really paying for when we buy bitcoin? We pay for an online program and the people running the program helping transactions go through, or we call mining. Miners put in so much time and most especially the cost of mining is so much. That is merely the reason why bitcoin will cost much and if incase it will dive too low and will not be enough to pay for miners, then that could be the time bitcoin will die, or not.

Well, i think if bitcoin was a scam from the beginning, it wouldn't exist for now because everyone would not trust bitcoin anymore.
But what i can see now, bitcoin is being used by most peoples who know about crypto. Either as a currency to pay something, or to trade it on the market.
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will survive in "cashless society" ?? on: September 18, 2018, 01:50:10 AM
It is said now China is a "cashless society". Use of debit cards and credit cards on online & offline stores/shops, pay bills etc..

USA and UK/England are into use of credit cards and debit cards in a big way for online & offline stores/shops, pay bills etc..

Will Bitcoin survive in "cashless society" where money becomes digital/numbers ??

Just like Bitcoin which does not have a physical presence, money/cash will not have physical presence in "cashless society/countries"

Everything can go cashless if everyone agreed to accepting some currency as a payment of their offered sell items, or services.
If the society can managed to get everyone such as buyers and sellers into their community to agree using bitcoin, then cashless society will survived.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Emotional day trading on: September 17, 2018, 03:28:53 AM
Do not do emotional day trading.

I have lost nearly 1500$  over one night.  we think this is the best coin for day trading seeing only the chart increment percentage.  then thats emotional only , no statistical investigation or research. if you do not know day please avoid from it. its better.

Maybe some peoples was playing with other's emotional by manipulating the price on the market right now, just think like that when you are in the emotional condition. When you take an action to buy or sell, a pure logic calculation must be the only one take the control. So the mental or emotional doesn't control you to take wrong actions.
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SHOULD BUY BITCOIN NOW? THE PRICE IS HIGH? on: September 17, 2018, 03:13:39 AM
Please tell me your opinion?

This question is often asked when the price is low. But the problem is, we don't know if the price currently can go much lower or not.
From my opinion, you must search for the news about bitcoin that can affect the price of bitcoin, so you can decide buy it now or later.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the current market situation turn better? on: September 16, 2018, 03:08:20 PM
Will the current market situation turn better?

Now that I hold some digital tokens, can anyone tell me to continue holding them or sell them directly?

Well, there is no one can tell you about the market situation in the future because of they knew, they would not telling us and secretly buying to accumulate. But in my opinion, it is better to pause your activity either buy or sell the coins, until there are some news about cryptocurrency.
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is holding crypto coins as of now still profitable? on: September 16, 2018, 02:51:44 PM
Ive been holding coins for months , and every month i flip it in the market. But now, its different, The price of the coin keeps going down. Is it still okay as of now to hodl crypto coins? or better to sold it already in the market.

It was better to selling your crypto few months ago because now the crypto market is on the most bottom in this year.
To hold cryptocurrency, i think you must hold a long time to guarantee your profit from it because for now, many peoples have much losses, particularly who bought coins in last year.
134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More Regulations For Cryptocurrency? on: September 15, 2018, 02:41:12 PM
Hello, would love to get your opinion on this topic. Do you think there would be more regulations regarding cryptocurrency by the Government? Both now and the future? Let’s say bitcoin price rises to $100,000 per bitcoin, Do you think the government would actually let it be and function on its own without constant regulations? Well, personally I think we would see more regulations from the government down the line to a 1 Trillion Dollars total market cap and above. But I’m positive such regulations won’t hamper on the further growth and advancement of cryptocurrency. So tell me, what do you think?

Maybe regulations in cryptocurrency is needed to prevent more fraud projects steal the peoples money.
As long as the regulations not making crypto worse, then it will be good for us. For now, there are still some countries not allowing to using crypto, but if there are regulations, they maybe consider to allow it.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you here for the right reasons on: September 14, 2018, 03:05:28 AM
Maybe its high time we worked out the reasons for still being here in the cryptosphere, pinpointing and exploring lucrative interconnected avenues through right research and education.

And, the reason i exist here is to searching for opportunities of investing my money on cryptocurrency.
Another reason is i just want to open my knowledge and adopt the crypto technology.
Some peoples join crypto maybe just want to trading or mining, but it is ok.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what happened to ethereum? on: September 14, 2018, 02:49:31 AM
I really didn't expect this, what do you think happened to ethereum. will ethereum be back in the near future! I hope that in the near future ethereum will return.

I think we still confused because the price of ETH has falling too much from above $1000 to below $200.
Maybe many past ICO's sold their collected ETH in massive amount lately ?
This is very sad because i see ETH has smart contract and have erc20 token, but the price is very low.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have $150 Ethereum. How can I grow/increase this amount? on: September 13, 2018, 02:21:44 AM
Dear expert money maker members,
I have $170 Ethereum as now rates. How can I grow/increase my dollar?
Someone recommend for invest in ICO progream. But I dont know very well about ICO.
Can you tell me What is ICO? And should I invest this?

Unless you sold your ETH few months ago, your ETH value now is below $50 i guess.
Investing in ICO is quite risky, you may got scammed if you dont do many research about the ICO company.
Just keep buying a good coins if you want to keep holding.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which crypto you prefer me to invest bitcoin or ether? on: September 13, 2018, 02:06:57 AM
I am in a middle of confusion right now of what kind of crypto i am going to invest. And i am planning to invest more than 50,000 PHP (Philipine Peso). With the money that is ready i am still in the confusion of what crypto to invest. Bitcoin was the originally my favorite to invest and i am a little bit worried with the current percentage of bitcoin price while ether has almost double now its price from its fall down to more or less 300 USD ether now gone to almost 600 USD. If i have 50,000 that time maybe my money now goes to 100,000 PHP if i invested in ether. But still bitcoin is more popular and i guess in the month of BER from SEPTEMBER - DECEMBER i am speculating that bitcoin will surge again. SO which is which crypto to invest? ETHER ? or BITCOIN?

For now, i guess btc is safe to invest than eth because the price of eth has crashed and we dont know if it will dropping more or not later.
Just keep your money in USDT and keep monitoring the market. Once it has significant movement, buy it with your USDT.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: MARKET IS RED AGAIN on: September 12, 2018, 03:15:47 AM
May be this year is the worst year for the crypto. market is very uncertain and no one knows the reason All we have is just a "hope" do you really believe that crypto will revive again.. i am losing hope now

Agree, year 2018 is the longest period of dips in cryptocurrency i guess. It has starting to drop since Q1 2018.
But dont lose hope yet, because this price is still higher than the price of one year ago.
While the market on the dips, we can buy some coins we believe have a great project as we waiting for market recover.
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: House Of Scam ICOs And Bounty ----WAR AGAINST SCAM------ on: September 12, 2018, 03:03:15 AM
The most important thing is, we able to know the project is scam before it succeed collecting money from investors.
If we list the scam ICO's after their sale, we will not prevent any scam ICO's to gathering investors money.
