123  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I was stolen 100+ BTC, don't know what to do - please help on: June 14, 2015, 12:51:59 AM
i guess if you really lost 100bitcoins then you have enough money to buy another 100bitcoins.
because nobody with a average income would play with 100bitcoins^^

maybe somehow this gamble site and exchange site or co-owned by same group?
124  Other / Off-topic / Re: Daily thread for Stoners: Weed strain of the day on: June 13, 2015, 11:33:51 PM
For those note versed, allow me to explain to you how threads like this one work (not necessarily this thread).

Pretend I'm a drug dealer. They call me Mr. Gleb on the streets in the hood.  Roll Eyes

I start some mundane thread that's drug related.

Wait for comments.

Weed out (no pun intended) users that are probably not into such activities due to their post history.

Befriend those that seem like likely candidates to sell to.

Repeat/Rinse.

I know it! Now you know it! Do you feeling like gamblin' and continue the practice of replying, calling me a kook, and believing that nary a LEO is the wiser?

im not sure what is this LEO Huh

Friendly reminder:  There have been numerous instances where posting pictures of pot have constituted probable cause for arrest.

I agree -- posting pictures (particularly ones that do not look pulled from google search, etc) is a bad idea.... but merely posting about a strain that you like seems quite harmless.

If its legal where is the harm? no different than going to  bar and taking picture during a toast

Big news!

We have recruited three new moderators and added them to the crew. Please welcome Gm, hiall and kolloh to the moderation team!

I have also been authorized to bring a second Assistant Manager under my wing to help coordinate the community events and new staff. Congratulations to BtcBoss for his promotion!

This is the first step in bringing 24/7 moderation to the chat box. It is my goal to have a staff member available to answer your questions round-the-clock and I'm excited to have the help of our very capable community.

I just saw this, and new mods are true after all. Congrats, guys! Cheesy

nice congrats GM and Kolloh :-) lol anytime something happens and keeps me away for few days changes happen :-)

Once you turn 21 you should probably be at that point where u need a life check if you are still smoking consistently marijuana.

Lets grow up people and be productive members of society. RAISE THE GDP OF YOUR COUNTRY!
Ya, become an alcoholic instead and destroy your liver. Also, hasten the destruction of resources and life on the planet for profit. These are good, socially acceptable goals. Roll Eyes

lol much agreed i have no idea how society has twisted it to where a plant that has so many benificial properties to it has become so taboo yet wife beating fuel (alchahol) is so socially acceptable...
129  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gold collapsing. Bitcoin UP. on: June 09, 2015, 06:03:26 PM
I saw a thing on t.v. last night talking about how great gold was and trying to sell off what they had at the same time... i felt like it was a load of shit because if something was really as great as they were trying to make it out to be they wouldnt be selling what they had, but buying more and hoarding for themselves
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Stolen at Gunpoint in New York City Robbery!! on: June 08, 2015, 02:20:21 PM
NYC doesn't consider selling bitcoins for cash money transmission like all the other USA states? Because then the victim could become the criminal...

It becomes a criminal offense only if the value of the transaction exceeds $10,000 (as per the anti-money laundering law, and the Statute 560.125). Then the person will be in trouble if he doesn't possess a money transmiting license. But in this case, Bitcoins worth some  $3,500 were stolen from the victim. So criminal charges doesn't apply, in my opinion.

not sure about NYC but in texas we have a crime for committing theft under $50 (Yes a 0.05$ piece of gum could get your this charge) and felony charges start at thefts about $1,500 which means min 6months prison after $5000 would be minimum 2 years prison sentence

132  Economy / Service Discussion / little concerned on: June 06, 2015, 05:16:12 PM
I got this email yesterday from blockchain.info in the past i've had BTC stolen out of a blockchain wallet before that is why when i made this new one i added the whitelisted IP security measure to it since i have static IP, but what concerns me (since im not very techy) is how the would have figured out that long login or if this was someone who was just trying to access one of the addresses??? I mean im glad the extra step i took stopped a would be thief, but still wondering what step i need to take to rpevent that function from even being used its like owning a gun for security nice to have but you hope you never have to use it....

Im sure there are many BTC holders/ casual users that never venture onto this site... just like there are BTC non holders/rare users who are on this site frequently... some btc users may join this site get the comfort they need as beginner it BTC then slowly stop using it except rare thing... also there are other ways to figure out and if this site went down, another would be soon to pop up
