121  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this right time to invest in Bit Coins on: October 24, 2019, 08:49:07 AM
For now, is not appropriate if you want to choose a long-term investment. Because the current market is very bad.
Not just Bitcoin but altcoins also decreased and increased unconducive. For short-term do day trading to take profit.

altcoins have been "decreasing" for almost two years now and that is not going to change. in long term all of them get dumped hard. you should never even consider them as "investments" in first place.
as for bitcoin, the market is currently ONLY bad for day traders because they can not predict the SHORT TERM direction in which bitcoin may go not for "investors". for them it is the best time they can hope for to start investing in bitcoin because it is in a dip.
122  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is going down...now at $7,654.85 on: October 23, 2019, 02:16:10 PM
Any thoughts on how low it will go?  Embarrassed

it is impossible to tell because of what i said above!
look at the charts, there is a big red candle without even causing a volume spike which shows there isn't even that much panic sellers left to dump their coins! compare that with September 24 where we had a similar big red drop and see the volume spike of that time. all points to this being unnatural.
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (Yes or NO) The 2020s belong to DEXs on: October 23, 2019, 01:49:40 PM
every time there is some sort of restriction from the government or exchanges like KYC,... on centralized exchanges it pushes people towards the decentralized alternatives, also every time there is another big exchange scamming people it pushes people towards them but it works both ways. whenever there isn't that much things changing like these days, no big exchange pulling scams,... people start feeling falsely safe and forget about DEXes. which means development, innovation and progress slows down or sometimes even stops. and we are at that point and that makes 2020 nearly the same as this year. unless something big changes like Binance scam!
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: your opinion about this investment strategy on: October 23, 2019, 01:37:58 PM
you are just increasing your risks and minimizing your profitability by including altcoins in your investment. you can take a look at the market right now as bitcoin price had a small drop, all of these alt coins in your list had a massive dump and have lost at least 5% more than bitcoin price drop. and the problem is that when bitcoin recovers from this drop these coins are going lower with another dump.
125  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is going down...now at $7,654.85 on: October 23, 2019, 01:22:51 PM
nobody expected a drop but also they didn't expect a rise either. that is why most investors have been staying away from the market because of this simple uncertainty situation. and when they do that, the order books become emptier which makes manipulating them easier so a big sudden dump from a manipulator can easily crash the price lower and like always the bots go crazy when their stop losses are being manipulated by that dump and start the avalanche.
126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmain will build bitcoin data center in Texas on: October 23, 2019, 01:17:17 PM
In my opinion, they could have found a better location, not only as regards the country in which they built a mining farm, but also in terms of cheaper electric energy.

i believe when a big mining farm wants to start up their business they don't go about it like a regular small time miner paying the normal electricity rates. instead they go about it with special contracts, meaning they go to electric companies and ask for better rates and get that so that they could reduce their costs in the beginning.
127  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance is earning only $20,00 per day on transaction fees charge?? on: October 23, 2019, 01:04:49 PM
the revenue of a huge altcoin exchange such as Binance is ridiculously higher than what you can even begin to imagine because their revenue is not at all from their trading fees or things like that so they don't care about paying such transaction fees.
for starters they are in full control of the altcoin market and with that they can pump and dump any altcoin they want which is generating them hundreds of thousands of dollars per pump. not to mention that they have a centralized coin that they are creating with no cost and selling it at a high price!
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges Tokens on: October 22, 2019, 09:05:53 AM
the only purpose of these exchange tokens, like any other centralized cryptocurrency, is for the company creating them to make a shit ton of money in the easiest way possible meaning out of thin air. these tokens, like anything centralized, are suffering from the same flaws. they are useless and very dangerous to invest in while at the same time they can get the biggest pumps.
the problem with your suggestion is that no exchange is going to be willing to use other exchange tokens! they create their own to sell it to others not to buy other companies tokens!
129  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: October 22, 2019, 08:49:15 AM
~ I remember when people used to laugh at me for claiming from faucets when the claims were over 1k sats but now those claims are worth a lot more, if everyone believes that btc is going a lot higher in the future then claiming 25 sats every hour may very well be worth $0.025 cents in the future.

Yes, I too remember claiming around 1k sats on freebitco.in. It was not so long ago, actually. From January 2015 till October 2015 one could claim from 800 sats to 1k sats each hour. At the current rate it's around $2 daily. And I agree with you that the BTC price can be 10-15 times higher than it is today, in the future.

the problem (which made people laugh) was not about how much those small amounts could worth in the future. the problem has always been about the time that was being wasted to earn a tiny amount of money farming faucets!
for example if back then you could make $1 per day from faucets, you could easily make a lot more doing any other job and convert that money to bitcoin and being at a low price ($200-$400) meant you could convert your "time" to "bitcoin" at a much higher exchange rate than what you could get from faucets!
130  Economy / Speculation / Re: BULL VS BEAR on: October 22, 2019, 08:35:50 AM
The reason why the volatility is high simply because this is a world market that runs 24/7 and I agree that every pump there will be a dump after that.

there are many other markets that are also 24/7 but that doesn't make them volatile. the reason for bitcoin price volatility has nothing to do with that. it is only because of the small size of the market and the fact that it is also filled with a lot of newbies with weak hands.
you should also know that rise and fall is not the same thing as pump and dump! when bitcoin price goes up it is a rise not a pump. if it were a pump and dump then it would have never been able to go beyond $100 let alone reach 5 digits!
131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stable Coins are a Threat for Bitcoin? on: October 22, 2019, 08:26:57 AM
it is funny how people make up theories without checking any facts!
the relationship between stable coins and bitcoin is so little that it might as well not even exist. if you ignore the bitfinex (the creator and owner of the biggest stable coin) volumes you can see that practically zero. now if you check the volume of altcoins you can see the only usage it has is in altcoin trading.
so how can something that is only being used for altcoin trading even be threat to bitcoin?!!! it is like saying when Cryptsy or Bittrex scammed their users or when an ICO scammed they threatened bitcoin!!!
on top of that, people who choose bitcoin are choosing it because it is decentralized not because they need stable price.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra vs XRP on: October 21, 2019, 07:07:55 AM
Which is why, it makes me wonder whenever Libra will become the currency of the world or XRP? Or will they co-exist in the future? Huh

neither one because they are both centralized and your question is exactly similar to asking whether Paypal would become the "currency of the world"!
obviously these centralized monies have their place in the world and it won't change any time soon if ever. but they won't become dominant in the world, ever. there are always better solutions such as fiat and decentralized bitcoin.

if the comparison is only between XRP and LIBRA then obviously Libra is the winner because unlike ripple, facebook isn't a shitty small company running a shady business. although Facebook has its own shadiness but it is a gigantic company with a recognized brand.
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would ICO scene succeed if it was organized like crowdfunding not investing? on: October 21, 2019, 06:57:32 AM
that can no longer be called "ICO" because by definition it is called a donation. if you like any project then you can donate to the developers of that project to support them. but ICO is "coin" offering and you receive something in return. it is not even supposed to be used for fund raising, it should instead be used for offering actual coins in early stages to people who want to get in early on. the problem is not solvable either because the problem is with the projects being shitty and their tokens being useless and that won't change by changing how the developer gets his money.
134  Economy / Speculation / Re: BULL VS BEAR on: October 21, 2019, 06:38:58 AM
I think the main 3 winners are definitely right, the price will definitely be somewhere between $7.5k and $9.5k, I don't see it going anywhere under or over those prices any time soon.

Even if a bull run happens and price goes above $10k for a while, it sure will fall under $10k once again and we all know it goes to $9.5k directly when it goes under $10k, it doesn't stop like at $9.8k or something, that has never happened in history of bitcoin, if it goes under $10k its going under $9.5k as well.

i agree that price will stay in this range for this month at least and i don't see it going anywhere below $8k ($7.9k tops) but i disagree with the second part. at this point if the price rise begins and reaches $9.1k+ then there is no stopping it and it will surpass $10k, $11k and continues going up and stops at a much higher price then comes down to still above $10k levels.
in other words the early 2019 will be repeated but instead of $4k shooting to $10k it will be $8k shooting to $15k.
135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: He's thankful he found "Bitcoin" on: October 21, 2019, 06:28:00 AM
in the end it is the user's responsibility to do extensive research about the thing they are buying. for example when you are buying a phone you just don't go to a flee market

LOL! I remember I've seen somebody having a (Chinese) "IPhone" running on Android.

136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government Attitudes in Latin America on: October 21, 2019, 06:17:36 AM

While reading the article and stumbling upon the line

Quote
...Latin America is “the world region where most cryptocurrency users are located,”...

They must have their methodologies and methods and all. They must have a random sampling and I hope it was scattered as it should be. But, without any prejudice, the result was kind of surprising to me. The second spot, for example, where cryptocurrencies are most common, goes to Colombia, together with Brazil. I haven't heard much of cryptocurrencies being very widespread in Colombia. I think I must have missed a lot of news.

[1] https://www.statista.com/chart/18345/crypto-currency-adoption/

Don't you find it funny they say Japan is at the bottom? You know, home of defunct Mt.Gox, first country to legalize Bitcoin, etc, etc...

that is the problems with statistics that are based on surveys! they always mess things up in their participant selections and end up with false results which is why these types of statistics are never reliable to begin with. in fact there is a ton of research gone into the "selection" process where you find groups of people to answer your questions. in simple terms if you go to bitcointalk and ask people how many of them used bitcoin and then go to blablahtalk and ask them the same thing you can't compare the results!
137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: He's thankful he found "Bitcoin" on: October 21, 2019, 06:06:06 AM
in the end it is the user's responsibility to do extensive research about the thing they are buying. for example when you are buying a phone you just don't go to a flee market, close your eyes and pick the first thing you encounter. instead you read some online reviewed, check out the features, learn how to detect fake ones made by the Chinese forging the brand name,...
it is the same with bitcoin too! they have to do some research and see how to detect fake shitcons that are forging the bitcoin brand.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A million altcoins on: October 20, 2019, 08:40:36 AM
you are confusing a couple of things with each other. being a shitcoin and being profitable don't exactly relate to each other even though they should.

i have the same exact views as you. i have not seen any decent project for ages. all of them are either copying each other or re-doing the same thing as before without any innovations. that is only if they aren't creating a useless token!

but that has nothing to do with people buying them and making profit! i also believe that your 90% drop expectation is logically reasonable but realistically impossible because they have already dumped that much and even though they are still over priced but the market pumpers don't care about that. they have gotten their money out and would want to pump them again to make more money. so we can easily see pumps in these shitcoins even in their over-priced state. which is exactly what has been happening over the past  2 years ever since the 2017 altcoin pumps ceased. they have been choosing dumped altcoins and pumping them every now and then.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When Litecoin dips really low in price, I am buying a LOT! on: October 20, 2019, 08:09:43 AM
it is a terrible idea and generatlly speaking when it comes to altcoins you should never do something like this, meaning to buy them in their dip. because altcoin drops are different from regular dips in some real legit asset like stocks,... altcoin drops are drops which is 99% of the times their bubble burst and their over all long term dump. which means it is not a dip (aka a drop that is going to reverse) it is a regular drop (drop that is not going to reverse, instead will go down more).

the correct strategy when buying altcoins is to buy them when they are starting to pump instead. which means when you saw the price is starting to rise fast and a big volume is being injected in the market pumping the price up. that is when you should buy.
140  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bittrex International shutting down services from 31 countries. on: October 20, 2019, 07:58:01 AM
i wonder how many users they are going to scam this time and how much money they are going to earn this round. last time they dropped services for some countries they ended up first limiting the withdrawal for these users then completely banned their accounts and blocked their money practically robbing them overnight.
at least this time it seems like there is a small window for them to withdraw (that is if they aren't already limited!).
