1101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Steemit Issues? on: January 24, 2019, 08:35:04 AM
It is good platform if you have little capital and trying yourself to eatablish as a blogger. For most of writer payment sucks and they leave it. Majority is posting spam and using bid bots.

i disagree. if you want to start becoming a blogger then start from a "blog" not a forum like webpage with so little capabilities and options. not to mention that on the internet because of the spams, Steemit posts have lower value in  the eyes of everyone. and even if you post high quality posts they will be considered low quality.
as for payment, you can earn a lot more if you start your own blog if you are a good blogger!!! if you are not then you won't earn anything either way. so there still is no point in using steemit in my opinion.
1102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth to invest in Ethereum or wait for Ethereum 2.0? I want to invest 5k on: January 24, 2019, 08:24:22 AM
there is no ethereum 2.0, and no it is not worth investing in it no matter what it is called. ethereum is a bad investment even if it has given some people big amounts of profit. it still is a terrible project because of all its flaws and bugs and the lack of important features such as decentralization and immutability and security. and when it comes to its price there is no future for it in long term because it has no cap. there literary is unlimited number of ETH available which will eventually make it as worthless as grains of sand.
1103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: exchange fees that no one talks about on: January 24, 2019, 08:12:06 AM
it is because bitcoin is decentralized and the fees are network fees, while exchanges are centralized and the fees are the cost of using their services. if you don't like them here is not the place to complain, you should complain to the exchanges and their support instead.

additionally it is about the fact that not everyone uses exchanges. so you only have a smaller portion of the community that get involved with exchanges while the rest never even visit an exchange in their lives. but everyone uses bitcoin.

p.s i am not saying you are wrong though. i agree that they are charging outrageous fees.
1104  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will scarcity ever come into play? on: January 24, 2019, 08:05:34 AM
it is already in play and will continue to have a bigger impact as we move forward and we get more adoption. the way scarcity comes in is when we talk about supply and demand and when i say "move forward" i am talking about increasing adoption or demand for bitcoin. and since it is capped the price continues rising stronger than if there was no cap.

additionally scarcity or having a cap is a good thing because the monetary supply of bitcoin is clear that way. so it helps with the transparency and with speculating the future of it compared to if there were no cap.
1105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about the anonymity aspect of Crypto Money? on: January 24, 2019, 07:10:59 AM
However, what do you think, will Bitcoin (or other coins) do more good than harm for humanity in the future?

bitcoin is a currency which is more like a tool, how people use this tool depends on them but their usage doesn't define bitcoin. so your topic is moot. it is like asking whether cars are going to "harm humanity in the future" because there are criminals who also use cars to for example transfer drugs, or there are people in jail because of manslaughter or DUI!
1106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin sustain itself on fees alone? on: January 24, 2019, 07:00:52 AM
that is a misleading chart because it is only showing bitcoin amount and calls that "income" but at the same time it is talking about "costs" in fiat terms. so basically it is comparing apples and oranges.
let me first quote satoshi who said (paraphrasing) "in the future there will be many transactions or none at all". basically if the adoption grows, the price grows and the price rise covers the block reward halvings and then some. if the adoption doesn't grow and people stop using bitcoin, price doesn't rise so there is no point in talking about security of something that is not used!
1107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin collapse by a global government crackdown? on: January 24, 2019, 06:52:51 AM
With all the buzz lately of governments cracking down on cryptocurrencies,
90% of this "buzz" has been FUD from people trying to scare newbies into selling their bitcoins so that they could buy it cheaper.

Quote
there has been fear among people with regards to Bitcoin and altcoins.
if someone has a fear about a decentralized currency such as bitcoin when it comes to government and their "crackdown" then they didn't understand what decentralized means. they need to go back and renew their basic knowledge which they skipped when they were starting with bitcoin.

Quote
As such, what do you think will happen with Bitcoin if all the governments of the world ban it?
same thing that has happened whenever some government in a couple of countries have banned bitcoin= an initial drama with a small dip then back to normal again.
1108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking multiwallets are safe? on: January 23, 2019, 09:26:30 AM
you can't stake something that is not stake-able! so the wallet is either scamming people to take their money and run away or it is a custodial wallet where you have to give up control over your private keys and basically give your money to them and they do with it whatever they like. and then pay you some profit. which is even riskier since you no longer have any kind of control and they can decide to take your money and close your "account" at any time they wish to.
1109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto's worst nightmare on: January 23, 2019, 09:05:39 AM
you are wrong because 2018 was not "crypto's worst nightmare" instead it was the newbie bag holders nightmare because they were new and arrogant enough not to listen to others and continued buying shitcoins in their bubbles and then started bag holding them while continuing to lose money as others dumped on their heads. otherwise everyone else have been making lots money, specially those who have been shorting altcoins hard as they got dumped hard last year.
1110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2019, A Challenging Year for Ethereum on: January 23, 2019, 08:58:58 AM
Ethereum is still at its best, dominating the dapp market in 2018. It gains the highest active number of dapp users among others. Not just that, it’s leading the market also in terms of wallet holders and total number of dapps.

actually Ethereum is at its worse and every day that passes the situation becomes more dire. the blockchain is bloated, the scaling is impossible, the centralization of it happened a lot time ago, it has no immutability and worst of all it is pump and dump.
the only thing it used to dominate was ICO market in other words it offered a scamfest platform. and that is also dying as ICOs die.
1111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I hate all forms of Altcoin and possibly hate cryptocurrency on: January 23, 2019, 08:35:26 AM
your only problem was having high expectations, that's all.

if you lower your expectations and start looking at altcoins more realistically then you will be fine. 99% of the altcoins have 0 long term potential. i have been saying this for nearly 5 years now but people seldom listen and still "bag hold" and then complain about them. but all the altcoins can have awesome short term potential. so all you have to do is to only get involved with them during that short window of opportunity and then make your exit before the dark days of dumping begins.

right now, you have gained a valuable amount of experience. granted you gained it the hard way and paid for it big time but you gained something that is worth a lot: experience. and that can help you in the future to not only make what you lost back, but also make a lot more profit only if you learn from your past mistakes.
1112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be a volatile investment tool and payment method at the same time? on: January 23, 2019, 08:12:06 AM
so far in the past 10 years bitcoin has been volatile and also been a payment method. in fact during each volatility cycle when price is at its peak and the volatility is the most, the number of payments increases to its own ATH setting up a record on each cycle. for example last year when the volatility reached its max by the end of 2017 (price rise of ~100% in 1 month) there were the most number of payments taking place.
1113  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin $400,000 Says Investing Guru Mark Yusko on: January 23, 2019, 07:54:37 AM
It looks like he has added one zero too many. In the next two years around the halving it will probably hit 40,000 and then it will need another catalyst to reach six figures

first of all this is old news and by that time everyone was publishing this type of nonsense predictions where they throw a big number at each other like a competition to see who can predict the biggest. just like now that people are competing with each other and throwing lower numbers at each other as the lowest prices!

secondly reaching $400k is nothing considering the fact that bitcoin rises have always been big like this where price stagnates for some time and the wise investors only accumulate bitcoin while others give up and sell their coins cheap. then there is a shoot up to the moon like 2017 where price jumps 2000% in less than a year.
1114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Regulations or Anonymity on: January 22, 2019, 08:45:48 AM
actually these two aren't really connected to each other and they are not two opposite sides! and the funnier part is that most people who debate these things are not exactly debating over these two topics. for example a lot of those who are talking about regulations are are for it, are like that because they think regulations will shoot up the price or eliminate scams not knowing that regulation doesn't do either one of these things! and those who are against it are like that because they think if some exchange was regulated then their anonymity is at risk! whereas it is not true at all. they already don't have any anonymity when they  use a centralized exchange whether it is regulated or not.
1115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lightning network capacity of Litecoin up by 116% on: January 22, 2019, 08:24:10 AM
Lol who said the Lightning network is dead. The lightning network is up by 116% on Litecoin!! It's expanding faster than BTC

i don't think anybody has ever said "lightning network is dead", i don't know what made you think otherwise. they however spread a lot of misinformation about it, such as it being "centralized", "coins being 'locked' in it", it not being bitcoin and a lot more!
the thing is, the only thing these FUDs did were to slow down the progress temporarily and as soon as their bullshit clears, the adoption shoots up again.
as for LTC LN, it doesn't seem to be growing faster than BTC because bitcoin's LN is already too big and is still growing. we only had a surge recently in LTC LN once so far. but all in all it is great to see LTC is still following bitcoin's footsteps like it always has been.
1116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Dapps will ever outnumber Apps? on: January 22, 2019, 08:11:37 AM
maybe some day but it won't happen for many years. so far we only have a handful of DApps, maybe only 3 or 4 if we are too strict about it and the rest of what you see which are also calling themselves "DApps" are mostly bullshit and not doing anything. it is like writing a "hello world" code in different languages and calling it an "application" and compare it with something big and useful like an operating system!
1117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any way I can exchange all altcoins for free? on: January 22, 2019, 08:03:18 AM
if there is a platform like an exchange then there is a cost to run that platform so the owners will ask for a fee to allow you to use their platform and their services. so no there is no place that you can exchange all your altcoins for free.

on the other hand, there are decentralized exchanges which don't have a centralized authority to take any fees from you. but the liquidity is usually too low or the prices aren't competitive specially in smaller altcoins that nobody cares about.
1118  Economy / Speculation / Re: This Isn't Manipulation on: January 22, 2019, 07:39:48 AM
If adoption is not done through talks than I don't know how it will be done.

You talk about bitcoin, I learn about it, I talk about it someone else learns about it, the more we talk about the more people learn about bitcoin and in the end we all come to a level where everyone knows what bitcoin is and can talk about it and that creates a situation where everyone either uses bitcoin or at least knows about it.

If we can create that world than the adoption will increase. There will be more and more people that use bitcoin in the future. Don't forget that technology is adopted by young people first and many young people are not business owners, there will be more and more business owners in the future that are young right now and those people will find a way to accept bitcoin.

very true but also one thing about adoption that people usually miss is that it happens slowly. for example whenever a new technology is introduced in the world (portable phones which we now call cell phone, cars when everyone was using horse and cart to go around,....) it is first adopted by those who are more enthusiast about the technology then by the wise people who see the potential and then after a while it is adapted so that it is easy to use for average Joe and afterwards it is adopted by everyone. right now bitcoin is in the first two steps.

so in the end it is not just about awareness. people may already know about bitcoin but are either to lazy to check it out or too scared to do it. but eventually they all will. like now that they are all using cars without even remembering that once they were scared of this loud machine that burned fuel instead of eating hay and shitting on the streets Cheesy
1119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Adoption: Rakuten (Amazon of Japan) to likely introduce BTC as a payment option on: January 22, 2019, 07:28:54 AM
there are a ton of companies in Japan that have been integrating bitcoin in their systems for over a year now. to put simply ever since Japanese government accepted bitcoin as a legal way of payment and also removed all taxes from bitcoin when people use it as a currency, it created a big inventive for ever merchant and big company to start looking into accepting bitcoin. in fact that was one of the biggest reasons for the price rise of 2017.
1120  Economy / Speculation / Re: The point of no return on: January 22, 2019, 07:19:09 AM
there is no such price unless you think bitcoin is dead and its adoption is no longer growing.

otherwise as long as the adoption is growing (which it is) the price will continue to go up no matter how low it gets at some point due to heavy manipulation of the market. eventually the buying forces will overcome that manipulation and the price will shoot up.
