123  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The Official Hashprofit Cloud Mining Survey-pls vote on: January 07, 2015, 02:44:13 PM
Sorry, but if you really think that paying yet another 0.03 BTC to this scam will give you anything useful then you are just plain stupid. Regarding the "survey" he probably just wants your email address so he can sell you some other scam.
124  Economy / Speculation / Re: January 5th - Just bought 20 coins @ $277 on: January 05, 2015, 09:12:03 PM
Don't forget that okcoin, houbi, and btcchina are worth over 80% of bitcoin's trading volume. They are what moves the market currently.
BTC China and I believe Huobi too charges no fees for trading, so the volume is probably mostly bots trying to trick users and other bots.

Virwox, men det koster.

I haven't seen scam sites being advertised here. He has even declined Bitmixer bid. Can you provide any links to the scam-bids being accepted by Theymos?
There's a link in the quotes in the message above mine. PB mining.
127  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The Unofficial HashProfit Thread on: January 02, 2015, 12:22:08 PM
i dont see how the forum is to blame for anything. did the forum once say we support the coin? no. did the forum post tell you to buy the coin? no. it is your decision to make from the info given. even if hashprofit bought adverts it is not forum responsibility as only information is provided to you. as long as they do not support the info or back it up by recommending it only then it would be wise to blame the forum
That's really up to each user to decide. Either way, the more "official" parts of the Bitcoin community (like this forum and Bitcoin conferences) are doing a huge disservice to Bitcoin by not saying no to money from such obvious scams. It would be much better for everybody if they didn't give away credibility so easily.

Anyway, Theymos has personally accepted these ads and displayed them on a site he controls, so if anyone has lost money because they thought his judgement was better regarding this then they can for instance give him a negative trust rating.

Sorry about the confusion. I'll grant you that the price seems expensive enough that there's a chance they are legitimate. The drawback of that is that the rise in difficulty will most likely make it a losing investment.

the only thing you can accuse them is being content poor, but their channel already shows demonstrates mining equipment, test and also how their developed control panel works.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC062LHKu8m84CZwCHNbGE0w
Why do you think they made a video of a manipulated image which gives the impression that they have much more mining equipment than they really do? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=878387.msg9867087#msg9867087

They are scammers, and it's a ponzi. There's no point in being polite about it.

Tell me few thing why i should not mineing there? Cheesy
as you see my other posts, there you see why i mining there..
You either stopped digging way too quickly or you suck at digging in the right places.

Cointellect is registed in EU zone. All informatsion is everywhere. Who own that, where is that locatsion and everything..
IF cointellect is for u scam , then is ebay for u too scam LOOOLL
Cointellect is yet another obvious ponzi. The best advice I can give you is to not try to find any legitimate mining services, because you clearly won't recognize a scam even if it hits you in the head with a hammer.

There is highly coordinated and massive DDoS attack ! hashproft will be back.. do you really believe a site with almost 200k user will just just disappear. no way its a money maschine Smiley
The number of users is obviously made up and increased automatically by some sort of program. Hardly anything they've said is true.
dont think.. i saw hashprofit everywhere even google ads. the partnership program went well

If you don't get better at being sceptical to totally unrealistic claims you will lose more money to scams.

I still do not get the point of PFCs if they were just out to ponzi? To make it seem legit?

Premine, pump and dump. It was mostly a separate scam from the ponzi.
135  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which Cloud Miners Are Reliable and Guaranteed on: December 28, 2014, 09:47:22 PM
All cloud miners (and pretty much anyone else who accepts investments in bitcoins) are guaranteed to be unprofitable, scams or both. Yes, really.

Thats like saying the ponzi's are hoping difficulty will go up fast enough to make things work out. Keep in mind bitcoinmaker dont even sell you a certain hashrate, they explicitly sell you a profit margin and claim to adapt the hashrate to achieve that.

Don't forget that it can be a scam even if it's not a ponzi. If they are anonymous they can have real miners and sell the mining power very cheaply, even letting their customers point the miners to different pools. After a while they can just stop giving the mining power or profit margin they have promised to their customers and keep both their money and the miners. It wouldn't be a ponzi, but still a scam.
138  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mining with Hashprofit.com ..your view of it :) on: December 21, 2014, 09:22:12 AM
Every currency is invented by someone so there is no big deal in that and profit coin is not a worthless currency as you are saying. You can compare profit coin with other crypto currencies. It is far better than other crypto currencies.
The total supply of PFCs is worth an amazing 320 BTC. Of course, that includes the premined coins.

Here's another picture of their "farm" from the video on the web page:

These guys scams and cheats in every way they can, and they're hardly trying to hide it. Anyone who thinks there is any chance at all that this is legit are complete crap at recognizing scams, and should stay away from any investment offer found on this forum.
139  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mining with Hashprofit.com ..your view of it :) on: December 20, 2014, 01:34:55 PM
this site seems to be legit to me
as they have their own coin (profit coin) and they mine profit coin and give us in bitcoin Smiley

So they are paying you a bunch of money for paying them to mine a worthless currency they invented themselves. Yes, that sure makes sense...

As for hashprofit, there is an address and matching phone number on their site:
https://hashprofit.com/en/contact/
According to Google Maps there is no street with that name in the area they say it should be. There is one in an area called Mesa Geitonia 2-3 kilometers to the west, but as it stands the address seems invalid.

Edit: After searching for the street without "Avenue" Google finds it. Google street view does not seem to be available.
