Great business idea! I think the price will go up, please donate to me if I'm right. If not, never mind.

I too predict that it will either go up or down, and then maybe back a bit. Can't be bothered with drawing all those lines, though.

While $5 is definitely good for wire transfers I'd call the MtGox code redemptions not good at all and damaging to their trade volumes. If they want to compete with MtGox then they should be making deposits / withdrawls like that free. Charging for transfers that cost them nothing (assuming they maintain a balance there) simply causes wider spreads and makes arbitrage / market making activities less attractive.
Stop whining about everything. When you're a grown up your time is valuable, and it's also not free to keep the MtGox account funded.

Sorry, sounds like a main board problem to me. The numbering is usually decided by which PCIE port they are placed in.

Or just be careful about who you trade with. I've done lots of trades both ways using PP, and only once have I almost gotten scammed. When I did I was the one paying using PP. Apparently getting your money back when you've paid using one of the private payment options isn't as easy as some people here seem to think.

Firstly, it's 21 trillion coin, not 21 million (this market is too small if you're going to peg). Secondly it's pegged to the dollar, on purpose, to avoid volatility. The idea is that if it's pegged, it doesn't fluctuate. All of the exchangers agree to the peg (thru smart property cryptographic mathematical arrangements). The currency doesn't initially float. This is just not possible. It is so far from remotely possible that if you don't see it yourself there's probably no point in trying to explain why.

A proposal to consider...
It's a good thing Satoshi understands economics a lot better than you.

If I was talking about estimating the value of a USD compared to the ILS i would probably check the prices of specific items in both currencies, the government's policy on exchanging money and managing their currency, maybe have a look at the country's GDP and natural resources. But how is it actually done?
It's done by one guy with USD finding a guy with ILS, and they agree upon a trading price. Really, that is all there is to it. Of course, if that makes buying stuff with ILS really cheap compared to buying it with USD, the ILS available at that price level will be bought up and the ILS price will increase compared to USD.

You shouldn't still be using the same email address as you did before MtGox was hacked.
What? I think you mean password... No, I don't. Knowing which email address you use opens several more ways to get into the account. I got the same email on the old account, but I knew it had to be phishing because it's not the one I use for MtGox anymore.

imho, idle numbers are useless. measure watts at the wall, divide by Mhash. eos Exactly, idle numbers are only used to establish a baseline. "Zero out the scale" so to speak. But it doesn't actually zero it out, because you don't know the idle power consumption of the card. This means that adding another card will make complete system consume more power than the numbers in this thread indicate. The only thing these numbers can be used for is to decide if a PC with the tested configuration should be mining if it's already on anyway.

I never said anything I posted was a fact. What gave you that idea? Do I need a freaking disclaimer to post on the internet now?
If you don't care if the reasons you give for your opinions are true there's no point in discussing this further.
|
|
|
The amount of goods you can buy with a certain amount gold has remained relatively stable over thousands of years! The fiat inflated around it.
Have you considered checking your "facts" before you post them?
|
|
|
The supply of coins grows at the same rate regardless of demand. Stability requires a flexible supply increase to correspond with demand increase. This limitation will be an impediment to the growth of Bitcoin commerce.
You're completely incorrect. Prices cannot do anything BUT stabilize in the long-run. The gold price proves you wrong.

You can't add funds to an OKPAY wallet using a CC unless you have a merchant account, and then the fee is higher than Paxum's.
|
|
|
You can add funds to Paxum with a CC if your account is verified. Max $300/day, $1000/month, fee is 4.95% + $0.50 (+ exchange if your currency is not USD). Both MtGox and TradeHill supports Paxum. It works, I've done it a few times myself.

CPUs stopped being a factor a few years ago. If only! Everything that doesn't run full speed on my end is capped by the CPU. (e6550 3,2ghz, radeon 6970) Tell me about it! I'm having the same problem with my 486 OCed to 40 MHz.

Luke seems to think it's ok to do anything that *can* be done, so I assume that for instance mining with him and not submit winning shares would be perfectly ok.

I believe he will transfer the money out of PP the moment he gets them. I'm not sure if he uses the account more than once either. He sent me one address, but then he said he couldn't log into it so he just made another. I suspect PP had closed the first one.
