121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Should I do as a newbie? on: April 04, 2018, 11:21:59 AM
The best way for me, if was a newbie, would be something like this: I decide to put from 2% to 5% of my monthly earning to cryptocurrencies. I download mobile app (according to you location) that allows you to invest directly from your account. Or, for example, invest your coffee money to crypto. It is possible to start with small sums.
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you truly believe in cryptocurrency on: April 04, 2018, 10:53:55 AM
I believe that blockchain could be used in voting and medical data protection but I don't expect that cryptocurrencies will be the future of money. It just game, especially for young people. Just like gambling or collectibles.
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's drop on: April 04, 2018, 10:52:15 AM
I expect BTC to drop much lower but stay above 1k. Who knows what will happen exactly. We just can watch and wait. This market is driven by greed and fear.
124  Economy / Speculation / Re: Logarithmic (non-linear) regression - Bitcoin estimated value on: April 02, 2018, 12:26:10 PM

The true is that s*it knows what is going to happen. All that charts won't help you so much. It can be invalidated very quickly and you will have a bunch of new charts. You can view and say about the market movements only retrospectively.
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Market Goes Down and Down on: April 01, 2018, 06:54:00 PM
Thank God it goes down as growth of 2017 was unsustainable and not healthy for crypto. Welcome to reality where expectations are erased and new paradigm of psychology shows up.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will the market recover? on: March 31, 2018, 12:58:19 PM
We don't know when exactly. The most recent research says this:
Quote
Looking forward, our analysis identifies a substantial but not unprecedented overvaluation in the price of bitcoin, suggesting many months of volatile sideways bitcoin prices ahead (from the time of writing, March 2018).

Personally, I do think we will see very volatile market this year towards bottoming in some point. Accumulation period for BTC has not started yet, so we have time to go.
127  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is coming for Bitcoin in 2018 from now on: March 31, 2018, 12:52:02 PM
The problem is that we don't have established valuation metrics for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. I will say the only one I trust is actual price to mine 1 BTC. NVT ratio is not good but maybe just for me.
This bear market will last more and we could expect to see much lower prices. This piece by Burniske is interesting as well to handle situation of bear market: https://medium.com/@cburniske/handing-your-happiness-to-mr-crypto-market-d655da3927c2

128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum on: March 31, 2018, 12:30:25 PM
it is funny how hopes and dreams of some altcoin bag holders are always being crushed when they face the reality of the altcoin market and start to feel the weight of all that dump on their shoulders.

the whales are enjoying this and thanks all the newbies who bag held their coins during the dumps.
this price will continue falling and until we see $100 for ETH the risk of a huge dump will remain a serious threat.

Absolutely agree with you. I see much lower prices for Ethereum and other altcoins. This bear cycle isn't different from other Bitcoin correction cycles. It will last many months with very volatile trading and sinking lower. Hype will come back together with new users who will follow FOMO and create the next bubble cycle.
129  Economy / Speculation / What is coming for Bitcoin in 2018 from now on: March 31, 2018, 12:24:50 PM
Very interesting article and conclusion. I tend to agree with researchers. Check this out:

We develop a strong diagnostic for bubbles and crashes in bitcoin, by analyzing the coincidence (and its absence) of fundamental and technical indicators. Using a generalized Metcalfe’s law based on network properties, a fundamental value is quantified and shown to be heavily exceeded, on at least four occasions, by bubbles that grow and burst. In these bubbles, we detect a universal super-exponential unsustainable growth. We model this universal pattern with the Log-Periodic Power Law Singularity (LPPLS) model, which parsimoniously captures diverse positive feedback phenomena, such as herding and imitation. The LPPLS model is shown to provide an ex-ante warningof market instabilities, quantifying a high crashhazardand probabilistic bracketof the crash time consistent with the actual corrections; although, as always, the precise time and trigger (which straw breaks the camel’s back) being exogenous and unpredictable. Looking forward, our analysis identifies a substantial but not unprecedented overvaluation in the price of bitcoin, suggesting many months of volatile sideways bitcoin prices ahead (from the time of writing, March 2018).

130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: These kings come from the East? on: March 30, 2018, 01:00:55 PM
Grin Grin Grin yes, you can see how BCH is doing very well today, LOL! For me it is no question. I will try to stay away from BCH but I see more opportunities in NEO.
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I buy TRON or ETH? on: March 30, 2018, 12:56:19 PM
I will recommend to you to stay away until cryptocurrency market is in bear market. It drop much lower and your investments will bleed altogether.
I see Bitcoin dropping much lower and it will reflect on altcoin market as well.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: March 29, 2018, 01:29:19 PM
When do we know details about proximax ico? There will be stakes at particular price or ex. 100$ entry will be possible as well? (Smaller units or whole stakes?)

Why consider any ICO, let alone one associated with NEM? So far all of the NEM based ones have gone nowhere. I don't see that changing. NEM itself needs a shit ton more visibility first. Even then most of them will simply be you gifting money to them.

I don't know about the other NEM ICOs but Bankera's SpectroCoin has effectively stolen all my funds. I got burned in a previous ICO (not NEM related) last year. I think I'm pretty much done with ICOs for good, even if they are NEM based. The advantage of having more and more NEM tokens is that it brings interest and visibility to XEM and the NEM technology, and over all will increase transactions, which is good news for XEM harvesters. The tokens themselves, though, are likely not worth that much.

How Bankera have stolen all your coins? What happened? I can't understand how it is possible?

Bankera

Trading is scheduled to start between april 1st and june 31st on Hitbtc, Bankera Exchange, Spectrocoin, and possibly KuCoin. Hopefully it will be a https://www.binance.com/?ref=10137216   Coin of the Month if people vote for it.

I still think this is one of the strongest ico`s going into listing with a private bank, 2 exchanges, payment processing, debit cards, a well funded budget. And weekly commission payouts...
- and a generous distribution of bonus coins

It seems what`s causing the delay, is that it is planned to get listed with two coin plattforms simultaneously. I suppose if one network is congested, you can send through the other.

I do hope this will be amongst the top coins this year. Few other coins have a ecosystem such as this with a bank and exchanges...

So, it is very stupid to blame Bankera that hey habe stolen your coins for not starting trading on any exchange. It is just preparation period and things are being done. I have a feeling that Bankera will be successful project. Demand of cryptocurrencies in Europe is going to grow during the next years. Just have patience.

134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Gold : Make Bitcoin Decentralized Again on: March 27, 2018, 05:07:57 PM
Added some BTG to my position. Looks oversold and some upside movement could be expected. Let's see if it proves me correct. Anyway, project is looking good and only bear market stops it from upside movement.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] RIPIO CREDIT NETWORK [RCN] Token Sale Opens on 17th of October! on: March 27, 2018, 01:47:43 PM
RCN goes live April, Hopefully the beta exchange by Ripio will follow closely. great time coming

I added some Ripio tokens to my position as I researched project well and expect it will bring true value after launch this year. I like that it is in communication with other projects building their products on Ethereum network, like Request. Future looks bright and this bear market is good opportunity to get some tokens with great discount (could drop even more).
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: March 27, 2018, 11:43:58 AM
I was participating in Byteball distribution from the very start. I'm very happy that new features were introduced into Byteball and more user friendly development is ongoing.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 👽 [ANN][BIS]Bismuth - New Language, Free DAPPs, Cryptopia, HEAT on: March 26, 2018, 04:13:04 PM
Interesting project, just heard about it today. Price of BIS seems to be very low because of BTC bear market. Let's see for how long it will last.
138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin used by criminals ? on: March 26, 2018, 11:48:57 AM
Of course it is used by criminals as everything else. But mostly it is used for speculation and technological hype. It is valued among leftist movement and their propaganda against central banking system.
139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin collapse after 21 million coins are mined? on: March 26, 2018, 11:46:28 AM
Bitcoin will not collapsed after 21 million coins are mined. This is one of the fears among bitcoin users as if this is the end of the world for bitcoin. But let us discuss two kinds of things wherein miners would earn; first from mining bitcoins and second is through transaction fees. This would mean that even all of the bitcoin were mined miners will still work and their work is to process blocks of transactions and confirm it to avoid double spending. Thus even if all bitcoins are mine bitcoins will still be there and we can still continue to enjoy using it.

Bitcoin is new money for millennials. It will not be used by majority of world population not to say about store of value function. In my opinion Bitcoin was experiment. It will not have any value when governments will find out how to track and control your BTC.
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what to do if bitcoin decreases? on: March 25, 2018, 03:16:50 PM
Wait until BTC founds its bottom and buy as much as you can. But you should be always careful not to invest what you can't lose. It is annoying to hear this statement but it is true. Bitcoin can go to 0 and it can go to 100k. We don't know what happens next but, for now, we are sure about bear market.
