But that's the question. Will the price really drop after the air drop, with people waiting for that day to buy Onions because of the possibility that they might be cheap. There is the possibility that the price might even go up.

One month to go for the airdrop. Is it better to introduce stealth address before or after the airdrop is over. What do you guys think is the best timing?

From what I've seen I think the best course of action is to not set date when something will be release, because usually that tends to have a negative effect compared to having a set date and a build up.

If this has a positive effect on the price, then I would hate for it to be released right before the airdrop, since it could benefit dumpers. But at the same time it can offset it, or make it a non issues since I imagine there are investors, whales waiting for the airdrop to end to pick up what could be cheap Onions.

Early in the airdrop there was always report of someone using their exchange address for the airdrop and not getting anything. That's because typically exchange addresses get transferred to the exchange's main address, thus if they use an exchange address it will be zero.

I think he was joking because that address is different from the one in his profile, and it has less than a penny worth of Onions. I checked to see how much he (or she) had since he was asking for help.

I'm excited for the AMA.

On a separate note I remember when DeepOnion had their AMA, the price skyrocketed because it was new news. Clear vision of upcoming events. It was more of a sudden AMA that happened to have positive news. In contrast when Decent released their updated roadmap, it was difference in that the build up for the release of the updated roadmap was I think almost two months. That's a lot of build up, and unless there was going to be mind blowing news, say Naughty America, then it's not going to have a similar 10, 20x kind of reaction.

Everything balances out, so I'm not sure if the price will really drop that much. Some people are selling now, trying to stay ahead of the 40th AD, and so those people won't be selling on that day. And at the same time, there are those people who are waiting for the 40th for the possibility of some of these people selling for cheap. So I wouldn't even be surprised if the price stays the same, or rises soon after the 40th airdrop. Leaving those who sold regretting their decision. So it's a gamble to sell.

So over 4 million people heard the name Deep Onion. Assuming that they watched all the way to 11:20. Pretty awesome none the less.

This is one of the main things that I think about. For example the Mt. Gox lawyer killed the BTC price from 20k down to 6k. Just one person with a lot of Bitcoin. Onion could had now been at $34. But it could be a blessing in disguise for those who were able to buy at a lower price and accumulate more, because if it moons to a top 20 coins then it will do so with them having more Onions than they would otherwise had, had the price gone up to $34. (On the flip side it would be bad for those who sold.)

So long as the price decrease is around the same level as all other alt coins, to me it doesn't really matter if one plans on holding crypto for a very long time. Only concern would be for those who need cash now.

I was hoping nobody responded to the comment, because judging by it being a brand new profile, and the incoherent English it seems like an account spammer who is quickly trying to fill up posts.  A true newbie would not be aware enough to know what's a good price and what's not. The person is just familiar enough to throw out random BS. The comment should be deleted because the purpose is to lazily say anything to build up post count.

I saw that thread in August, and did my own research and analysis. What I saw was a big community and a team that did not proceed like scammers in the amount of work that they put forth in the coin. Random example, most scammers are not going to be so selective and spend literally hundreds of man hours per week reading each and every one of the participant posts to make sure they were legit posters. A scammer would just let anyone join, more people to dump on, instead of more knowledgeable participants.

They said the code is based off another open source coin. Ok, like so many other coins, all based on Bitcoin. But what about the on going development, features, android wallet? This is not a copied and pasted coin, nowhere near it.

Then it's just common sense, how STUPID would the devs have to be to put forth all this work, build such a community just to dump it all, when the alternative of continuing development and community and potentially having the marketcap for DeepOnion go into the billions of dollars would be a lot more profitable. To have what Deep Onion has reached so far in its young life is not easy at all. I'm involved in great projects that raised from 5 million to 200+ millions and they could only wish they could have 5% of the community that DeepOnion has.

I suggest read the whitepaper and checkout the roadmap, because things truly begin after the 40th airdrop.

Are you positive you have the correct address? Go to receive coins, right click on the address, and then copy address and try again.

That's such a major point right there. It's so hard for so many great projects to get any notice. DeepOnion with is ongoing development really might end up being a top 10 coin with this community. A privacy coin with this huge of a community. Those who missed out on Monero should be interested.

Interesting idea. Even if it's just a small percentage, a small amount of ALAX tokens to all DCT wallets. Not sure how DragonFly would feel about it.
