Skewing toward small stakeholders don't work. We ran these rounds with Nxt before.
It would take me about 5 minutes to write a scrypt that can distribute my account into 10k chunks.

I seriously doubt any big stakeholder would waste time doing this.  If you really wanted to, then you could find a way to distribute to smaller stakeholders.

I was talking about skewed distribution in general, and why won't it work.
If we are still talking about the 10k rewards, I honestly don't care, and I don't even know why we are talking about it this much. It worth 0.03 BTC currently, less than 20 bucks.

lol. 20 bucks today can easily become 10,000 USD tomorrow in the crypto world.  Everyone knows this.

Reward the first account whose balance is less than or equal to 1M FIM starting at block 10,000.  That's an easy way to skew the rewards toward small stakeholders.

Give 50% to account at 10,000 (likely to be large stakeholder) and 50% to first small account following block 10,000 (guaranteed to be small stakeholder).
What prevents the large stakeholders from dividing their holdings to several smaller accounts, if we start to considerably favor small accounts? The annoyance just slows them down and wastes energy.

I'm not sure how the math works, but will X amount of FIMK forge the same number of blocks split across multiple accounts as it will in a single account?

Yes, same amount. But it would require huge amounts of accounts to be generated by big account-owner, 1800 accounts for that 18 million to take it down to 10000 balance each. I would not do it if I forged millions in a year anyway.

I am a large FIM holder (from IPO) and I even I think it would be nice to have incentives for smaller FIM holders to get involved.
We'll think this through how to arrange it, but it's very difficult to do without skewing the incentives towards unfairness.

Bonus rewards are not paid very often, so random variance will play a big role and even small time forgers have a considerable chance of hitting the bonanza on one of them.

The FIMK Block explorer is very very cool, dynamic latest transactions list similar to the Blockchain.info.

Got link to working block explorer?

Wow, VRC taking a bath!   Shocked

385 support broken.  Also penetrated 369 support.

im telling u guys again.. there will be a decrease in price back to 25k~ after that to 20k~. this is normal because not 1 altcoin is here to stay. .......

I cant believe in so deep decline, I already made orders @29,999 and @30,999 and @31,999

This is b/c Verisend is not decentralised.  it's just a toy distraction from real anonymous protocols AFAIK.

Hmmm... how does verisend work?  If it's centralised then I don't think it's as good as DarkSend. Sad

FIM Version 0.2.2 Released

We have released FIM 0.2.2 which consists of some minor fixes related to unclear wording and some bigger improvements to client.

  • Users are notified automatically when a new version is available
  • Users can download the new version from within the client
  • Downloaded versions can be verified to be genuine from within the client
  • Account aliases can be used with both numeric and RS accounts (the ones starting with FIM)
  • Forging countdown indicator and forging refresh functionality added to the client

There was some confusion if the client was forging correctly. We have added a countdown that counts down to the moment you are expected to forge the next block.
This time is an average, it is possible (and will likely happen many times) that when the countdown reaches zero you dont't actually get to forge the block. What is sure is that the chance to forge a block when the countdown has not reached zero is very small.

The so-called deadline (the time until you forge the next block) changes every block. You can refresh the deadline (ask the deadline from the FIM server) by clicking the button next to the count down indictor.

Nice work!  Keep it up!  Mining/forging FIM is awesome!  I have a feeling FIM is going to be called "NXT done right" soon.

When are stop-loss and limit orders being added to the AE?  Is FIMK consortium adding an altcoin gateway for trading altcoins using the FIM AE?

Also when is one click installable wallet for OSX and Windows going to be ready?

Also we need a FIMK multipool, so we have an alternate way to mine FIMK and give its price further support.

Just some roadmap ideas...

I think some selling is good.  FIM is new and it's good for it to change hands and acquire new stakeholders.

FIM is much more fun than NXT because I'm mining/forging a fair amount of block rewards.  I'm holding long-term.

..and more questions:
1. May I forge simultaneously with FIMK and NXT wallet from same computer?
2. May I forge with two different FIMK accounts with two different computers from same ip-address? Doable?

I'd like to know too. For a while today I did have both my Fimk client and my NXT offspring running and forging at the same time, and it looked right, but I can't say for sure because neither forged any blocks during that time.
+1
i also would like to know

me too

hi
dev
The client can't refresh synchronously, I must close the client, reload, then the transactions will all be shown.

do you have javascript enabled?

Thanks to NXT's Wesley for the base of the better web client - which we might however remake extensively in the future as well as deploy a standalone executable client.

Great idea.  A QT-based wallet would be very good.
1213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FIMKrypto: NXT spinoff 30s blocks, POW-like rewards, national income *FIMK on: July 02, 2014, 01:46:58 PM

You are not gonna regret buyin at that price.

FIMK will be really big thing in future!

its just a clone of nxt

Not quite.  A huge fundamental NXT problem is solved by FIM -- NXT has no block reward, but FIM does!!!  This makes a gigantic difference to how things play out and keeps the community highly incentivised.

Overall FIM improves the following.

  • Adds block reward incentive for forging
  • 30 sec block time - makes decentralised asset exchange much faster
  • 0.1 min TX fee - encourages spending with lower TX fees

FIM is a contender and is here to stay.

how long does it take for my balance to become effective to forge after sending to a new secure account (sent from dgex distribution account)
Stakeholders must make an outgoing transaction before block 2880 or they'll
have to wait 1440 blocks before they can forge. Non-stakeholder accounts must
always wait 1440 blocks after their first outgoing transaction
before they can forge.

Generally (after block 2880), upon receiving funds how long does a genesis account need to wait before those funds are effective balance used for forging?  How long goes a non-genesis account need to wait, generally (after block 2880)?

All block rewards received to the association's accounts or related accounts during the beginning phase will be distributed to initial stakeholders on pro rata basis according to details published later.

+1 Thanks for doing the right thing.  When will this commence?

Yes we have a public https web wallet run on the association's server.

The head dev insisted on forging at least 300 to 400 blocks before public access. Possibly to avoid initial forks but I'll let him explain the details tomorrow. The association will distribute the block rewards received during this time as bonus payments to the community.

That's fine as long as those block rewards are delivered back to the IPO stake holders proportionally.  Otherwise, this would be an unannounced premine that should have been declared in the IPO prospectus.  There is no technical reason to premine 300-400 blocks. QED

Genesis block has been running a few hours, the first blocks were slower than we had anticipated due to no large stakes in use thus the original deadline of July 1st full launch was achieved only in part of the genesis block. To ensure the health of the newborn blockchain we need to postpone release of the live wallet download and web wallet to Jul 2nd afternoon GMT. Thank you for your support and patience!

Could you please explain more?  This really doesn't make any sense.  Those block times look reasonable.  If you launch the network, then there would be plenty of large stakes in use!

I hope you are not planning to premine until noon tomorrow.  That would be 200K+ worth of mined blocks by yourself.  What's the plan?

Great post and great transparency.  Very professional to reject invalid donations.  Well done!  FIMK is off to a great start.

Yeah, and it isn't easy to get over 500BTC donations, before coin is even released.
That's why I think this will be huge.

there is definitely something major behind it.
