Maybe you should have posted this in the "S3 support thread" so they can help you. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=671189.0
1202  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BitAffNet] How we're the #1 Bitcoin Mining Pool In The World (proof inside) on: December 04, 2014, 01:34:38 AM
Congrats to the pool for getting two blocks in a row!

I hope I dont jinx us....but the blocks are coming quickly.  When we see two blocks found within hours of each other....what sort of positive and negative effect does it have on us as miners on BAN?

none.... pool pays PPS so the pool takes all the risk. we the miners get paid no matter how many blocks are found (or not).

Seems your thread heading is a bit misleading saying the pool is at 100TH/s when the best its been at is 8TH? Kind of wondering where you got the picture of the S3 that you showed?

1204  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Best pool for a 1Th/s miner on: December 03, 2014, 10:43:05 AM
Well it does say expected time 16-17 hours so heh?

Use this here to see what you can expect from your 1TH https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty  but it all really depends on which pool you choose due to most have different payouts.
1205  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Best pool for a 1Th/s miner on: December 03, 2014, 10:22:17 AM
Great! Better for me to mine now.
Also, this is me solo mining, it says 17 hours to block when the value is 25Btc.
Is that good?
http://www.socialnetwk.com:9332/static/index.html

I hope you don't think your going to find a block in 17 hours?
1206  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Best pool for a 1Th/s miner on: December 03, 2014, 09:55:20 AM
Hmm, well I did attempt running my own pool using P2Pool although was worried it would take for ever because of my speed.
Do you know if the difficulty will ever go down? Maybe if people mine more litecoins etc?

It  just went down yesterday

am liking this pool so far. hash rates are similar to what my S3s say they are doing Smiley. Payouts are on time and very good.

Prepare to be attacked. But I agree with you.
1209  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: ** [NEW] OverHash.com | PPLNS | Instant Payout | 1% Fee | Pay TX | VarDiff ** on: November 30, 2014, 10:40:53 PM
We would like to say thank you and welcome to our first miner currently hashing at 2TH/s.

Our stratum is also compatible with rental company's eg nicehash, miningrigrentals etc.

You don't mine on your pool?
1210  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Antminer S5 Speculation on: November 30, 2014, 08:43:11 PM
Now that they did some black friday deals on S4, I am pretty sure once S4 is sold out they will announce S5.

What black friday deals?

there was a scam site which robbed people, offering massive bitmain discounts. perhaps that news hasn't filtered through to some yet.

Bitmain thread heading said there was a Black Friday Sale. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=796839.0

I think I have come to the conclusion that I must bring bad luck to this pool?  Undecided

I gave up can't deal with it anymore.  Maybe next month I will come back.

I noticed you were gone. I only have 1 miner pointed here and plan on staying this time. I left last time before a block was found and just gave up any payment I had earned.
1212  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Mining pools on: November 30, 2014, 03:12:11 PM
i have already told the landlord about the mining and i calculated the KW for him and he was fine with that
i guess solo mining is out history, if some solo miner will find a block will he be rewarded those 25btc rewards? must hell of a luck to find a block solo mining

There has been two miners on CKsolo pool that have found 25BTC blocks. I have tried the pool a couple times and plan on pointing my miners there once they are no longer profitable and take a chance.

Which miner are you going to be using? I am glad your landlord is ok with it. Depending on where you live the miners will put off heat for the winter but will make a room hot during the summer besides the noise level of most.
1213  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Mining pools on: November 30, 2014, 02:42:06 PM
I have free electricty in my house rent, so that is not a problem. i was thinking about using btcguild. but what is BAN ? Cheesy

BTC Guild is a good pool but you will have to take the good luck days with the poor ones. BAN is a newer pool https://mining.bitcoinaffiliatenetwork.com/index.php that you can set your payout to as often as 1 hour which is paid out on a PPS bases. It does not matter what luck the pool is having. The pool is being attacked and so far as I can tell with unfounded allegations. But you can also find a PPS payout with F2Pool https://www.f2pool.com/ which I use as one of my backup pools but they only payout once a day.

Edit: The "Free electric" will only last until the landlord see's the electric billing and will either have to raise your rent or make you pay for it. Just be careful you don't overload the electric circuit.
1214  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Mining pools on: November 30, 2014, 01:51:20 PM

What miner do you have and what is your cost on electric?

What pools do people recommend with? large pool is better right?

It depends on what your looking for? If you don't like variance then one of the PPS pools like BAN https://mining.bitcoinaffiliatenetwork.com/index.php , if you dont mind unlucky days with the lucky ones then Kano's pool http://www.kano.is/index.php or if you really want to try your luck and solo mine then CK's solo pool is where you can try to find a 25 BTC block for yourself. http://solo.ckpool.org/

We're investigating an issue at one of our datacenters at the moment. Until we can resolve this we are recommending miners move to backup pools. Realtime updates are available in our IRC channel and we will post here when the issue is resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

Our systems are back online. Please stop by our IRC channel or contact our support team if you have any outstanding issues.

Thanks just moved my miners back.

BAN shill/troll bait....... Cheesy

LULZ....didn't take long for the dope BAN shill fire000 to bite did it?.......too easy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
It's like he just jumped right in the boat without even bothering to put up a fight.  Too bad his response offered up absolutely nothing of value.

I really do wish someone who's been mining on BAN would come and share their experience and payouts so we can see just how they actually do.

Good luck on that wish.  Based on their thread(s), it's nothing but people who can't spell, perform basic arithmetic, or understand that -10% fee PPS is going to end in a lot of people getting fucked over if they're not already.

eleuthria its hard to get "fucked over" when you can get paid hourly. I have enough bonus payments and then some (a S3 miner free)  that I could not get paid for a month and still not get screwed. I have been screwed over worst back when I mined at Slushes pool ( and no pool operatorer to be found when needed) and got screwed on a couple of payouts and that is why I moved to BTC Guild when I did.

edit: I just moved my miners off BAN as the payments and website are both down but will move them back once I know everything is ok.
The miners who started mining early on will likely end up with a positive EV from mining on BAN as their early extra payments would make up for the lower/no payments that will eventually happen when they can no longer afford to continue paying 110% pps. It is the miners who start mining on BAN later on that will end up getting screwed as they will have a higher percentage of their total EV mining reward withheald when they eventually collapse and stop paying mining proceeds.

The only way a pool can payout 110% pps is if they are able to have an average luck of over 110%

s0br post over 3 months ago that it was a temporary thing to only build hash rate and when the pool got to 5PH it would most likely stop. I dont think anybody thinks it will last forever.

Jesus, you are hard-headed, aren't you? What is it going to take for you to realize that a pool cannot sustain itself at 110% PPS! Should've stuck to BTCGuild or even slush. While I want to give you the benefit of the doubt, I'm beginning to wonder if you shouldn't be placed in the same category as fire000 and cyberpinoy. Although, I will say, you are much better with the keyboard than those two.

EDIT: OK, so your argument is, "hey, even if it turns out to be a scam, I already have received enough in payouts from BAN to offset me getting screwed". That's great for you and you only, what about innnocent miners who come across BAN and read posts like yours assuming they will have the same results? I guess you don't give a shit about those people, do you? so you are going to continue to promote a pool until they decide to freeze payouts, and that's cool with you as long as you know that its  the new, smaller miners who are getting fucked, and not you.

Ok show me where ANYBODY has gotten scammed up to this point today! show me! To date the pool has paid everything they said they would.  you are the one that was spouting off how you rent your mining equipment to s0br at some ungodly rate and laughed about it. so how do you sleep at night raping miners renting equipment at a rate that they can not make a profit??

EDIT: I guess if I didn't care I would have never posted this I just moved my miners off BAN as the payments and website are both down but will move them back once I know everything is ok.
