guys, if 20% has been minted already, this is a good thing.

Currently it both profitable for miners to dump, and good for investors to buy. And that is the whole purpose behind the parameters I chose. This is not going to be like that for ever, and currently is greatly benefiting the early adoptors who can save it.

I know that not everyone can afford to save their coins, or purchase new ones, but if you try hard it will pay off.

There is 1000s of new people getting into crypto every day, and it only going to increase.

Just think of these times, as the time to collect and save. And think of the low price as an opportunity, not a failure.

Lets move forward and forget about changing the coin, and let it run its natural path.

We, as a community,  need to concentrate on Creating more games, getting on more established games,  getting on more exchanges including china and russia,  and generally just getting the word out. We also need reps on all the forums, so anyone who wants to do those things, please do.

the New home page and casino will be ready very soon (3 days max), and this will help you market the coin better.

Yes, huge opportunity to buy and see the price decrease, a.k.a losing your money. May as well wait until 1 satoshi to buy.

*cough* Autosell *cough*

Let the coin run its natural path.

I made such a long list and you pick earth-friendly?

you know what a straw man is? it's an argument that is invented to deflect from the fact that you got nothing better Wink

where did I say earth-friendly?

I said for example fastest transaction time...

you know, something a shop or a business would actually care about in contrast to gambling... gambling is something gambling sites care about and the rest scoffs at

LOT = 4 confirmations. Faster than you can blink.

Yeah, no business is going to accept 'EarthCoin, the currency of the people'. At least there is some business in gambling, easy acceptance, easy money.

If nobody cared about gambling, lotto wouldn't be the billion $ market  it is today. So yeah, for once I agree with Boomer, fuck off dude

Hate to admit it, but this coin is dead. Not because of subpar development, but because it is an easy target for multipools and its variables (block reward, block time) are too generous.

90M+ coins mined every day.
Already 20% of total coins are in circulation after 1 month, while Feathercoin only 10% after 9 months.

There is no long term perspective at this rate.

Solution:

We create a new fork (halve block rewards, etc). We can't restart the coin, so that's our only obvious choice.
No matter how much promotion, giveaways, how many new games... this coin will stay extremely vulnerable without a fork.

Needs to be done ASAP, or there is no future for LOT.

or you can just mine EAC...

you know, the coin that has not lost most of its value since launch,

is relatively multipool resistant,

has the fastest transaction time of any coin,

has an iphone app being worked on,

has an android up almost finished,

has non-profits accepting it (e.g. save-the-earth),

has an EAC/USD only exchange being worked on

is not associated with gambling, addiction, or LOSS OF MONEY like lotto is,

and is not even on cryptsy yet, but will be added as it has been confirmed by BigVern himself...

but I wish lotto the best. also gamecoin, and casinocoin.

dude seriously? get outta here with that.

I'm sorry... I did not want to disturb your lotto funeral... it was so nice and quiet and then I barge in with some stuff that is actually alive...

I apologize.

I leave you to your mourning

EAC is not better. Huge pump and dump. There's no worthwhile development behind EAC. Professional website, beautiful branding to create artificial value. When it will hit Cryptsy it will be worse than LOT

Here, I edited my reply. Happy now guys?

KeyserSozeMC, yeah, stop sucking mrlottos d*** I know he paid you like 20M to do these giveaways (if not more).
Want my honest opinion? I don't give a damn about mrlotto or any other mrlotto. I respected our deal. He's a professional. That's what I admit and respect. That doesn't give me the right to talk crap for anyone.

I can't judge his decision, even I'm holding some LOT ( Bought at 50 for 2BTC with my own money and now I'm running with a loss.)

Don't get mad on the internet.

Friendly advice.

Did you even read what he posted?

"In my opinion the fork talk is just couple of low rollers who missed cashing out their giveaways @ 50, and along the way want to spread
FUD about the worlds 3rd most successful coin, and ruin it for the majority. "

Is he even serious?

We want to save the coin and he posts bullshit without answering ANY of the actual concerns that we've discussed in the chatroom.
Yeah, we're doing a fork for our own profit. Not because 90M+ are mined everyday, which generates too much supply and crashes the price. Because it's still profitable for autosell to sell it @ 5 satoshi. Nope.

With opensource, anyone can grab and fork the code, and change the coin to what ever they want. However for that to happen,
everyone (28,000 downloads) would need to all update their client at the same time.

Its happened in the past, but only for buggy coins. Noone has ever done it to a coin which is the most profitable.

In my opinion the fork talk is just couple of low rollers who missed cashing out their giveaways @ 50, and along the way want to spread
FUD about the worlds 3rd most successful coin, and ruin it for the majority.

Currently LOTTO Its the most profitable coin in the world to mine.

Currently LOTTO is the cheapest investment (will increase 100x in 6 months). - 20% already mined... only 80% left..... and blocks halving 10x faster than BTC

I dont think miners or investors would want to participate in the fork. I wont be supporting it either.

Dude, catcoin has done a fork and they succeeded. Why aren't you more responsive? Do I need to send you 50 PMs to get an answer?

Your attitude pisses me off bro

And 20% already mined is exactly why we need a fork. It's the most profitable to mine because the block rewards are too generous. Are you blind?

30% mined in less than 2 months, guaranteed. 30% mined in 3 months, ridiculous

I don't think it's the worlds 3rd most successful coin. If 5 satoshi / coin is your definition of success, then I'm out of here

I disagree with mrlotto.

What's the point in forking it?

Let's say halving the payout, has the effect of doubling the price.  It will still have the same profit level, so will still be hit by the multi pools.

All it will do, if the existing coins are stll accepted is give all the early adopters a bit of a value boost. It would be like having g a 10% premine between lots of people.

Coin is already 20% mined. We need to reduce coin production. Longer block times is a valid option.

Maybe it will boost price a little bit and will still be mined, but in the long term it will make the coin more sustainable.

Hate to admit it, but this coin is dead.

Wow.  And I was accused of being negative.  Shocked

High five.

It's probably not as dead as I thought it would be, though, after that rapidballs chat

Still heavily endorse the idea of forking

Can someone point me to some resources to find out more about what forking is, how it impacts stuff and such?
Random googleing didn't help much :/

basicly its creating a new coin (in this case with changed peramaters) . If that happens, transactions between old client and new client wont communicate, and the network would be on 2 different forks.

So this is  the reason why we cant just make bitcoin better, and instead have to make new coins.

Personally I dont see any issues with the coin,  or any reason to destroy the coin, so will be staying on the original fork.

I suggest those who want to fork the code do so, and release it under a different name.

20% mined already on original fork. We need to halve the block rewards!

Logo looks dull. Color correction.

1 - Original
2 - Contrast + Color Correction
3 - Same as 2 with gold contour with 25% sharpness

Tell me what you think. Obviously I just copied the logo over as I don't have access to the psd files

OldMiner, that logo is low resolution. Try to make the border transparent (not white). If it's too hard give me the files, I'll do it for you

I like the color choice, not a bad design. Rather simple. But if this is all you can do, then criticizing others is not the way to go

I have put my self out there now so flame me if you like. I've been doing this 15 years, I can do a lot more than you think, but I'm not going to sit here for days if it isn't wanted, lets hear some feedback first. I'm sat on millions of these coins, so if you think I won't speak my mind when I can see a mistake been made then you don't know me. There are others in this thread who have a lot of money invested in this coin and have spoke out, so this isn't a personal thing, its simply to make sure this coin makes maximum value so we all benefit.

Absolutely. Well your design looks very good. As I said it's prob. the best. Simple, elegant. If you can make it even better then why not. I don't know what's the status on gjerics design, maybe hes been paid, I don't know
