1201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury - February 25 in Saudi Arabia on: January 19, 2023, 07:31:30 PM
I wouldn't say Tommy is someone whom can consider a "capable" boxer because of his record. Most of his wins are against mediocre fighters at best with very poor win-loss ratio with the exception of Daniel Bocianski. I think this fight, we know which way it will go: obviously Jake's. Seeing Tommy's previous fights, he doesn't really focus on the defense and always go to the offense instead, so that's one department that he needs to work on as Jake is slowly becoming a somewhat well-rounded boxer through his previous bouts.

That's why this fight is somewhat fair enough because both boxers just defeated mediocre boxers and fighters who are not on their prime anymore. In paper, it seems that Jake Paul got more upper hand in this fight and that includes his height and reach advantage as well. I'm not favoring Jake Paul here because just like Tommy Fury, both of them still needed to prove themselves but if in case Jake Paul will win, Fury will be his key to be in a much bigger stage in the boxing industry's limelight.
1202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: January 19, 2023, 07:08:36 PM
The votes in the poll are already 50/50. It means half thinks Devin Haney will prevail over Vasiliy Lomachenko but the other half thinks the other way around, that the older Lomachenko will defeat the champion Haney. This is a surprising result because the gambling odds released at this point suggest that Haney is the favorite and Loma is the underdog. The odds are even far from even. It means the fight is most probably favoring the younger fighter.

It's hard to predict, as what we have seen that Loma seems to get old overnight against Ortiz. But this might not be case in this fight as the stake are very high. And with such talent, for sure Loma will have to elevated his game against a young champion in Devin Haney. So even our boxing fans here are split as who will win this fight. And if the fight is listed on the sports bookies as well, it might be close with Haney taking a slight lead as betting favorite.

Actually there are already odds released for this fight by some bookies. But I haven't seen the odds of my crypto sports betting platform. But if you try to search for betting odds for this fight, you can already find some. Betfair has odds of 1.44 for Devin Haney and 2.75 for Vasyl Lomachenko. Those odds are not really close. Haney is really the favorite and Lomachenko the underdog. Unlike in the poll here, the odds are saying this is not a 50/50 fight.

Odds are more reliable because those who made it are professionals, they have lots of basis, unlike the poll result here is only based on our personal perception without considering a lot of factors, so it's more bias IMO. Anyway, it's not actually a big deal, the most important is that these two agreed to fight and that's enough to entertain the fans.

And don't forget that bookies aren't there to giveaway free money, their main goal is to collect money, so it's safe to say that these bookies are just misleading us. Still it's understandable and reasonable to see that Devin Haney has been favored as the favorite in the bookies list, factors are too many to mention and some are based on their recent performance which dictates that Haney indeed got the upper hand compared to Loma.
1203  Economy / Economics / Re: Do your work. on: January 19, 2023, 06:43:30 PM
Not all people are skilled to have their own business and most people receive their knowledge to not build their own business but to work in a company that's why its hard to ask them to start their own business. Those people who work in the company are better to start saving their money on an asset like a house, gold, etc.

Well, people have their own passion, we can't force them to have their own businesses and they have their own way to make a living. Also there won't be a businessman who has their own company if there's no worker who willing to work for him.

It's because there are only two types of people in this world:
1. People who takes advantage
2. People who likes to be taken advantage

So, of course, we cannot really force them if they only wanted to work because their mind isn't programmed to be unique and only follows where there's huge crowd. Besides, there's a reason why we're here in this forum learning and discussing some things while are busy following their boss because they are not the ones who are in total control.
And I agree that not all people are skilled to have their own business, but that doesn't also mean that they aren't skilled to have their own investment.
1204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins worth investing at dip on: January 19, 2023, 05:09:20 PM
Buy the dips and keep dipping, -90% another  -90%  Grin , fomoiing/yoloing in the heart of millennials logic, rare seen this day flash drop happen, mostly slow drop to death and guys catching falling knife, hoping bounce soon and getting rekt by using high leverage and lot of liquidations makes dip getting deeper
So the answer is clear? why need to buy altcoins when you can credit all to Bitcoin is that what you are saying here?  Grin Grin

Have been following this thread for months now and what I saw is just another one posting His shitcoin or those who does not truly understand the market and just telling what they think will climb tomorrow .
Actually it depends on each individual's decision because buying altcoins is not a bad decision as long as they really do research before buying,
for Bitcoin it is clear that there is no doubt because it is indeed very feasible for long-term investment,
to diversify I think that's a good strategy.

No doubt about the bitcoin but the OP was asking what altcoin is worth it, I'd say that only selected altcoins are really worth it to buy and hodl while the market is dipping, but shitcoins/memecoins? I doubt people can still get lucky about it because these whales are moving in an unexpected manner so there's more chance that you'll get losses than gains, moreover, it's not worth it in the first place because these coins doesn't have any utility.
1205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 19, 2023, 04:44:29 PM
Warriors visiting the Boston tomorrow, I guess I'll go with the stats, Boston -6.5 is going to be my bet.

I might follow you on this one because Warriors spread are too attractive, I'm thinking maybe it's just a trap, so this one should be the right call. Well, not saying Celtics is guaranteed to cover that spread because to be honest, it's too high, so I can understand why most of us will choose the Warriors spread + the ML.

Yes, I admit that the Warriors spread are too attractive and almost too good to be true but what's the point of betting if there's no risk, right? Grin Warriors ML here.
Warriors will be visiting Celtics home and I think they will be winning this because they're on a campaign while climbing the upper seed.

Along with the Warriors,

Chicago Bulls -6.5 vs Detroit Pistons
Brooklyn Nets -1.5 vs Phoenix Suns
1206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 18, 2023, 08:51:55 PM

Also, Donaire is more suited in the bantamweight division rather than looking for a title at 115 pounds as I'm inclined that his career might end sooner that what he expected. Having a fight against Moloney for the vacant title is already a good opportunity for Donaire to display his prowess again in this division that he was once a champion, it will be a perfect bout for him to test if he can still do few more fights or it's time for him to hang up his gloves.

It's such a waste to go on retirement soon when he still feeling it and he still can punch to knock out his opponent. since this boxing industry gathers huge money, it's really hard for those like Donaire to turn away from offers while he still can box and can give the fans excited when he fights in the ring. I think he will stop when he will gonna suffers the same loss again when he will gonna be knockout out cold or can no longer take some punches like how he used to be in his prime. right now, his speed is not the same anymore, and when he retires he will be soon fighting celebrity boxers if he still wants to make money from boxing.

Whether we like it or not, Donaire will be retiring soon, he is already 40 years old and that's already old in boxing now. He suffer many losses already, one was against Inoue which was his recent loss, but of course, he has a chance to be a champion again as Inoue has already moved up in weight. So it's nice if he will just retire as a champion in case he'll be a champ again.

It only make sense for Donaire to retire because admit it or not, father time has catch up with him, have you notice that thin hair line now? just like what we have seen in Lebron James, signs that they are getting old.

So this is his last chance, we don't want him to get knockout cold, if he lost for the belt against Moloney then that should be it.

It's time to admit that he can no longer box.

There's only a limit for a certain thing and Nonito Donaire should already accept the reality if it turns out that he cannot have a title in this division anymore, there's no need to look in the lower division too because there's nothing to prove anymore. He's been known to be "The Flash" but lately, he's not that flashy or fast anymore as his opponent are already catching up with him.
1207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 18, 2023, 08:31:49 PM
What are they thinking? is this their way to keep everything balanced?  Cheesy Grin

Ja Morant is surely one of a kind and the fans are always looking forward to seeing him dunk on someone every time he plays. Thankfully he always has been negative and we can see more of his amazing dunks in the future. Though they are different from Vince Carter, I'm glad I'm seeing in the NBA who can actually dunk without hesitation whenever he got the chance. He really needs to do more of this because he will miss it when he gets old as Vince does.

Really? Grin Poor Morant, getting ambushed with a drug test for six times already in this season alone. I can't blame the NBA management if they are getting suspicious with the players this season because this season has been full of surprises and I still cannot believe that a 40 to 50 points became much easier to achieve. I remember Donovan Mitchell got an explosive night and the NBA tested him the day after.
1208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you handle your losses on: January 17, 2023, 08:23:37 PM
How do I handle my losses? Simple, accept the losses and do not try to recover the losses in the next gambling session.
Means that every single session should be a new session without thinking of revenge to take back what I've lost previously.
Anyway I'm interested the point of "to avoid greedy friends" because some of my friends are greedy and sometime I do greedy as well.
For me, I will not be influenced by greedy friends, I'll just ignore them if they tell me something that I do not want to do.

Same here, chasing over what you lost in the other day won't be giving us any benefit because there's a good chance that the chase will lead us into a much bigger loses, and we know that we don't want that situation in the first place. I just accept the reality that we cannot change anymore what happened yesterday and hope that this day, luck will be on our side without thinking our losses in the past.
1209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: January 17, 2023, 08:01:02 PM
This would really be an interesting match to watch and I hope that the date and venue be update as soon as it is available.

But this fight really seems a little difficult to predict as there are alot of factors to consider as well and Devin we know is a great fight with reach upto 180 and it might seem difficult for lomachenco but we've seen lomachenco fight in matches with other wrestlers with more than 180 reach and with theserecords I'm sure it will be worth it even if it not seem easy for lomachenco and at worst it will end a draw.

Don't worry mate, this bout is almost certain already that will happen in the next couple of months because so far, the respective camps discussion is flowing smoothly according to their plan. About the date and venue, organizers are looking forward to making the fight happen in the 20th of May at the Madison Square Garden, New York. However, it's not yet final.

This fight has to be one of the good fights that people are waiting since last year after Loma announced his return and got a fight last year. In fact, it's actually hard to predict the outcome of this bout because both boxers are good when it comes to technicalities and fast as well in reacting. But, some people are not that certain for Loma because his recent fight shows that he is not that fast anymore.
1210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia on: January 17, 2023, 07:32:33 PM
In any case, Ryan Garcia's promoter, issue a ultimatum on and says that he doesn't have any contract yet and they will proceed and move on if the camp of Tank Davis will not submit any by Monday. So there is still drama in this fight and we don't know if the fight is going to happen or not. So let's wait for the official announcement first.

I also have read that tweet of Oscar Dela Hoya and this makes me think that Ryan Garcia was used by Tank Davis to promote his recent fight with Hector Garcia. I doubt the timing of him announcing that his supposed to be fight with Ryan is a done deal when in fact there's no contract signed then after the announcement, he also announced that he will be back in the ring with Hector his opponent.

Bottomline, i doubt that this Ryan Garcia vs Tank Davis will push through, lots of hurdle to overcome on the side of Team Davis.

As long as there's no contract yet, there's no assurance that the fight will happen. It's not in our control, they have to make sure that they will have it done so they will fight at the expected date. Boxers nowadays are just good in marketing with less or no action, hopefully these two are an exception.

I don't understand, Ryan Garcia even cancelled his tune up fight to focus solely on Davis, but now we are hearing rumors that it might not push through?

I saw an interview with Ryan reassuring Helwani that it will happen by April and that the promotion is just arranging undercard fights. The division of profit I guess has to be discussed yet. Davis may have split from Floyd's influence but he must have learned from Floyd about done deals.

They are going to wait til there will be old enough for thier bones to brittle before they fight. No different from the old-generation boxers who just kept avoiding. It's just Pacman the Greatest who is ready to face young and old.

Hehe no doubt about Manny Pacquiao, the guy hasn't faced any criticism that he avoided the fight that's why lots of people and fans are favoring him and labeling him as one of the greatest boxer in the history. Anyway, rumors will remain rumors as long as there will be no official announcement but think that the Davis-Garcia fight will materialize but for the profit discussion, Davis has got to be in the A-side even if he's already flying alone now.
1211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 17, 2023, 06:40:34 PM
I was not able to bet on the early games.

Los Angeles Lakers vs Houston Rockets @ 2.75

Los Angeles Lakers (19-24) will host the Hoston Rockets (10-33) tonight at Crypto.com Arena. The Lakers lost yesterday by a point against the Philadelphia 76ers and will be rearing to win this game.

I like this pick actually because everyone is probably thinking that Lakers would win tonight because they are up against a weak team. Both teams are very desperate, Lakers so desperate to improve their ranking to qualify in the play-in, while the Rockets so desperate to break their cold streak.

This bet almost won, Rockets are just not a good team in closing a game. They were able to make it a close game but the Lakers stayed discipline, they go with their play and as headed by Lebron, they had this big win. Also, Rockets could have easily cover the spread, but the last sequence wasn't that good and not in their favor, Lakers won by 8 points and Bron had 48 points.

I think the Rockets get tired of chasing the Lakers throughout the game, they got close though within 2 with just a couple of minutes. But Lebron, got a three point play and then Dennis as well. The Rockets can't score on the other side and that 2 point lead balloon to 8 and that was enough for the Lakers to stop their losing skid.

I think Houston is still very young, and doesn't have that players to close up this kind of games. Sengun though, this kid has a bright future.

Still, the Houston Rockets gave the Lakers a hard time and pushed them to the edge that made Lebron to step up again because the team won't be winning unless he won't do the first step. Although, I honestly don't think as well that the Rockets will have this game because they are tanking for a reason.

Brookly Nets -6 for me vs the San Antonio Spurs. Kevin Durant is still out, and I don't really believe that they will mess this game up and have a back to back lose.
1212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 17, 2023, 06:07:09 PM
Either way, the Lakers should call a timeout and nothing else. That was around 10 secs. left and lots of time to make a good play.
The Lakers are down by 1 and no one from the coaching staff even advises their players to call a timeout. They blew that opportunity and chances to win the game. I don't know why they thought that time and didn't decide to call a timeout.
I want the close game though that both teams managed to perform where there are lots of exchange of score leads happened.
Maybe that is due to the inexperience of the coach and his staff. But Lebron was also in the court, he could have called the time out himself since he is the most veteran player in there. Anyway, if they called a time out, they can set up an offense but the defense of Philly will also set up. Maxey and other defenders will be on court and it may be harder to execute.
Now, I really doubt the capabilities of the Lakers coaching staff. It is not yet playoffs and they are not able to make the proper calls already. That is too bad.

It seems as though the coaching staff of the Lakers has no idea what they are supposed to be doing. There are times when you look at the coaches and wonder what they are thinking. They are able to make decisions and feel as if they have a plan in place. However, that is not the case with the Los Angeles Lakers. In my opinion, the coaching staff of the Lakers looks like they are just doing things and hoping for the best.

Well, that's what you and the others thought. We all have criticized coaches and players for every mistakes they have done in their career, but remember, they are always better than us. Plans and plays doesn't work every time. We can't just say, the coaching staff has no idea of what needs to be done. They actually do, they're only making bad decisions, especially when it did not work.
The Lakers may not be easy to coach, because of LeBron presence. He is the kind of player who have a huge influence in the whole management. So, that's not gonna be easy for the head coach to handle.

I won't argue with you about that but let's just understand the fans as well because they are just frustrated by the Lakers performance lately and it's somehow normal already that they will criticize and blow-off their steam towards the coaching staff and players afterwards. Well, if only coaching an entire NBA franchise is that easy let alone that the franchise contains influential superstar, if so, coach Vogel wouldn't get fired for sure.

1214  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tutored or you learned how to trade? on: January 16, 2023, 10:33:38 AM
The best way to lessen the learning curve is by applying in mentorship with proven system that can make profit in any season of the market. In this way, the trader do not need to do experiment and to build his/her own system wherein it can save a lot of time but the only disadvantage is most of the mentorship program has a cost. But that cost can be the key for you to be a profitable way.

Mentorship is a good strategy for learning as a beginner as you can ask and hear answers from what you wanted to know, pretty unlike if we just rely on online tutorials. I'd see fast learning in this way but of course, we don't also have to keep relying on this person as it was a need for us to stand and decide alone. Having time with our mentors is perfectly the time for building our trading analysis and decision-making teaches us how to respond in a particular situation. They can't be forever on our side that is why we should have to work hard as well to understand everything we needed.
1215  Economy / Economics / Re: Does a side job/business improve your finanical stability ? on: January 16, 2023, 10:01:40 AM

To make a living, we must work. In uncertain days like now facing the global economic downturn, a stable job with high income becomes a scarcity. A side job or business seems like more necessary than ever, which can minimize the risks of losing your current job, ending up pennyless. However, a side job/business also takes time and efforts and can never be attained whenever we need it. What did you do or will you do in order to ensure your finanical stability despite all unfavorable circumstances ?
In this case, investment is then suitable. Because what you need is to buy and hold, unlike in business where it needs time for you to manage. But if we know the law of leverage, running a business is not a problem even if you have a stable as it won't beat your time either. Having multiple sources of income is gonna be a great decision when we wanted to improve our finances but of course, we have to work hard and manage our time properly otherwise, we only just fail. And sometimes we sacrifice our time for our family.
1216  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it safe to buy now? on: January 15, 2023, 09:43:34 PM
I observed that the cryptocurrency market is a kind of green at the moment, but as a beginner, I still find it difficult to tell when the market is actually bullish. I will appreciate any advice from fellow community members concerning this current situation because I'm considering to buy some coins but finding it difficult to decide on which coin to give a trail.

Just a kind advice, the risk is mine.

The market looked green this time but it was still too far from being bullish again and investing even in this current situation seems to be a good decision. If I were you, I don't waste my time digging ad searching for what coins I choose to invest in but rather have to pick Bitcoin and ETH, then this solves your problem of worrying about making the mistake of choosing coins.
Don't get influenced by those hyped projects who promise huge rewards because they will only fail you and give you losses. Bitcoin and ETH are really the best option.
1217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana takes back top 10 position on: January 15, 2023, 01:37:17 PM
Solana is once again a top ten coin, I am starting to feel like I will regret not buying solana and hold for a long time because if this project survive it will bring the highest ROI in the list of top coins on coinmarketcap, the present value is even looking good, what is your take on Solana? Are you a believer or you think it won't do well for long.
I guess you don't unless you do nothing during the market crash and don't get affected by those few pumps. In fact, there are a lot of coins that are more profitable than Solana, buy ETH and Bitcoin instead as it was worth regretting of not taking the move.

Well, anyways, good thing it happens to Solana but it is not enough to convince me of the potentiality of the project after having some issues connecting to this project.

1218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: January 14, 2023, 07:08:49 PM
There is someone who I have always said, boxing, despite the fact that it has a lot to do with physicality, can be won but obtaining a lot of intelligence, and I have known that for a long time, and here in the forum they have let me know, nothing else I can do Name a fairly intelligent boxer like Mayweather, the day he fought Pacquiao, I didn't like that fight because I knew he was running all over the ring and Pacquiao was just looking for him, 'Mayweather only fought in a very technical way and That made him win, even though for me it was the worst fight in the world, years later I came to understand that Mayeweather knew that his best option was not a hand-to-hand confrontation, because he might have lost, but on a technical level he had the advantage .

Aside from Mayweather's advantage when it comes to technicalities, he also got a good defense that enables him to create a counter punch every time that he's engaged. The fact that he mastered the Philly Shell makes him already an intelligent boxer, and I think that's what makes Devin Haney to practice under Mayweather even if he's not under his promotional banner.

And I agree, that fight was even dubbed as a fight of the century but what we saw was not really enticing and that the fight labeled like that was somehow inappropriate. People wanted an all-out fight and if that happened, Pacquiao will surely win but Mayweather was clever enough to despite the pressure around him.

Haney has that defensive skills as well, might not look very polished as like the Mayweather because you have to understand that his uncle Roger was one of the first to used this Philly Shell that was pass on Floyd by his uncle and his father trainer, so we could say that he perfect this defensive stance that others just wanted to copy from him but failed. So for sure Tank knows this from Floyd himself when he was under his promotional company and we can see some of it on his stance in his last couple of fights.

No doubt about that, Tank Davis surely learned a thing or two when he was still under Floyd Mayweather's promotional company that's why he saw some instances that Tank used the said stance in his previous fights. Also, Philly Shell is indeed a vicious defense and a kind of stance that allows the boxer to create such good counter that will shake their opponent or worse, knock them out because it's known for its unpredictability.
1219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Caleb Plant vs David Benavidez on: January 14, 2023, 06:18:14 PM
^^ Everyone here is inclined to see Benavidez vs Canelo, it will be a fresh challenge for the cash cow and so it will be interesting how he will deal with the youth of Benavidez and the speed and the power as well (although David is flat footed).

And I'm thinking that if Plant wins here, Canelo will not give him another opportunity.

He might go directly with Bivol again, regardless if the weight is 168-175 lbs. Bivol is more willing to fight Canelo at this point for his legacy.

Yes, because that will be a new sight to see and aside from that, David actually got the upper hand between him and Plant (even if he's a flat footed). David already proved himself that his time has already come to have bite against the champion and Plant is the last hurdle before he can actually face Canelo. But if ever it turns out that Caleb Plant will be the winner here, there will no hype from him to chase Canelo because people are not expecting anything from him anymore. Straight fact, he's already done.

Yes and that's what majority here wanted Benavidez to win against Caleb so that we will not see him against Canelo the second time around. And maybe Canelo will be motivated facing a young challenger in Benavidez for him. It's like turning the tide, now Canelo is the more experience one and some young challenger trying to get his belt. So hopefully all the scenario that we wanted to see will happen, David Benavidez winning with a statement, then Canelo willing to give him the chance.

Canelo ask for this that's why the kid was really dedicated to work his way to face Canelo in the championship rounds, as I remember, David's father asked Canelo to give his son a chance but at that time, Canelo wasn't interested because the kid hasn't proved anything yet. So, this time, if Benavidez defeats Caleb with a bang, maybe Canelo will stand his words and give the kid some priority.
1220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casino on: January 14, 2023, 05:57:10 PM
Im not sure if I missed it while scanning this thread, did the OP actually named all those 3 he have mentioned? I see he did dropped one website and that gambling website was for sure unknown to majority of the online gamblers.
I find it exaggerated for a whole month of gambling and you're not winning even once, otherwise that casino is indeed fishy, if he's telling the truth. But one thing is for sure, no casinos were built and design to favor the bettors. It would always be either an honest provably fair casino or designed for them to always have the edge.

No, unfortunately, the OP hasn't mentioned or dropped some names of those websites that he is saying and claimed that no one was actually winning in the crypto casino after spectating the websites for a whole month. OP just mentioned that he tried three websites and actually, I'm not sure which casino he's referring into because there's literally few dozens of crypto casinos out there.
