221  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hey! it's $50k today. on: February 23, 2024, 07:16:28 PM
I'm afraid the rise will not continue, pending the actual bull run.

If we follow the trend that a bull run normally happens after the halving, which we have less than 2 months for, then most likely this price will either drop or will stay at this level. https://www.nicehash.com/countdown/btc-halving-2024-05-10-12-00

Bitcoin's all-time high is $64k, so we are very close to the current price. However, we are expecting a more significant increase during the bull run. A 100% increase from the current ATH is possible, and that will translate to a new ATH of $128k, which, in my opinion, is just the minimum to achieve once the bull run is activated.

Updated record 15-15 (50%) ---loss all my 4 picks. 0-4

Starting a fresh journey after the all star break (no more break this time) Cheesy

I got these teams winning later.

1- Suns -4. A back to back game but it's a must win in Houston. Bradly Beal Still out, but let Book and Durant take care of the business.
2-Clippers -9 - they are not the Bucks, sure they can beat this undermanned team.
3-Wolves -4.5 - Bucks might continue to struggle and Wolves might still owned them.
4-Lakers -10 - Both teams are playing back to back, but Lakers are back at home, though Lebron is still "Q", I think the home team can handle the Spurs.
223  Economy / Speculation / Re: A new ATH before halving. Is it possible? on: February 22, 2024, 09:27:58 PM
This is not only the first time bitcoin has made a new ATH before the halving. It is forecast to hit a record high for bitcoin. With the increase in the price of bitcoin many investors are joining the market and the demand for bitcoin is increasing which is the new way to increase the success. Bitcoin's price movement goes up and down in this way. The future will be better just have to wait longer.

As at the current time now, bitcoin is yet to reach its all time high, we can possibly see this before the halving and it may happen that we did not experience it before halving, we are as at this time around $50,000 to $52,000 and still have a kittle way to go in other to rally round the last and previous all time high of $69,000 while we should be getting ready gradually for the Bullrun to take place anytime  after halving.
Everything is possible with bitcoin considering that its price nowadays does not drop significantly but stay on a $50k above resistance. Which I think a good thing for bitcoin community as there are bigger chances to reach  a new all time high before the said bitcoin halving. However, whether it reaches before or after halving, I don’t really put too much concerns on that. What I am more focused these days is to keep doing DCA as it’s the most effective way to gain massive profits when bull run finally comes.
224  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Has this forum helped you gain experience in bitcoin, share your experience on: February 22, 2024, 08:58:44 PM
There is a wealth of information here for newbies but I feel a little overwhelmed with the information here, a newbie to cryptocurrency i'm finding it hard to navigate and start my journey
The forum can be a lot to take in particularly if you want to take it all in at once. My advice is to set a plan for what you want to learn and follow that, this will guide you on how to read older posts you search for.

For example, you can plan to learn about wallets, then nodes, then transaction details. You'll then proceed to search for posts with information on what you're looking for. You can use the same pattern in trading threads, only follow boards you have interest in to narrow down the amount of information you consume.
Know your goals first why you enter the forum. If you are after with bitcoin investment and its security on how to safeguard your investment 24/7, then focus on that. There’s a lot of relevant topics that talk about that and will satisfy your hunger on that certain topics. However, being knowledgeable alone will never guarantee success in your goal. You have to put extra efforts and eventually develop your potentials in investing as well as positive attitudes so that success and profitability will be achieved in the end.

There’s a lot of interested topics in the forum. Just explore the forum so that you can maximize your learnings that  will eventually help you in realizing your forum goals.
225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is it letting the bank know that you are a BTC Investor? on: February 21, 2024, 10:58:32 PM
Question please: was the official question on me necessary? And was it wrong of me letting her know that I am a BTC investor? My conscience just keep saying "Hello man, you fucked up talking about BTC out there".
If the country you reside in has no stringent regulations regarding Bitcoin investment, it is fine for them to know that you invest in Bitcoin without any worries. You won't be monitored unless there are any suspicious withdrawals or deposits that draw attention to your account. However, it is still advisable to maintain a low profile and avoid withdrawing all your funds at once if you have invested a significant amount in Bitcoin.
I always think investing in bitcoin does not need to be publicized, even telling the banks that you are into bitcoin should not still be practiced. However, since you have done it already, then you have no choice but to be honest with them. I guess whether bitcoin is legal or illegal in your country, as long as it deals with a decentralized nature of investment, that will automatically draw attention from the bank’s staffs. Your account transactions will definitely be monitored by the bank, that’s why as much as possible, never reveal to them that you are a bitcoin investor.
226  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC hit 1M ? on: February 19, 2024, 08:14:52 PM
It is Clear that bitcoin will be the only Currency for payments
Like there will be no Cash or VISA
This is speculation. There is no suggestion now that fiat or card payment options would be exist in several years tike, and even ifhthey would not due to improvements in technology, th government would adjust and come up with alternative payment options which they can directly regulate and manipulate. Bitcoin is not that currency.

Bitcoin doesn't need the current system to collapse inorder to reach $1 million.
Having no cash or visa might be impossible. The government will never allow that to happen, they will hope for bitcoin to vanish instead than fiat. Or if ever fiat might go into extinct, they will surely replace something to act as an official currency, because as long as bitcoin remains decentralized, they will never allow bitcoin to be the center of the financial industry.

However, regardless of all these, bitcoin price will continue to soar high as long as the demand remains. But reaching $1M, it might happen but the time is still uncertain.
227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 19, 2024, 03:06:09 PM
Assuming Canelo needs something else for his legacy, I reckon he battles the winner of Beterbiev versus Bivol. That will bring him prestige particularly assuming he wins and becomes undisputed in two weight classes like Crawford and Inoue.

That's the best thing for him to do to gain more popularity, but that means climbing up again in weight, which he failed against Bivol. If Beterbiev wins here via KO, that means he is too much for Bivol, and I don't know if it's wise for Canelo to challenge the boxer that defeated the boxer who defeated him.

Canelo has never been KO'd in his career as a boxer, and maybe that will be the time that he'll suffer his worst defeat at the hands of Beterbiev, who is a 100% KO artist. I'm not sure he is up for that challenge as his legacy is also at stake big time.
228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you stand to gain from the bull run. on: February 19, 2024, 12:23:57 PM
I am pretty sure there will be two types of people during this bull run.

Those that sold too early and become mad that they sold too early.

And those that got greedy and didn’t sell near the top because it didn’t reach their target price. Only to sell later on the way down.

This happens every bull market. People either sell too early or too late. Hence why most should just dollar cost average the sales to get a good average.
This is not new to us as no matter how we encouraged people not to sell early or sell late, but sell only when it reaches its new ATH, majority still prefer to follow opposite direction. Hence, a lot are not making decent profits when bull run comes because of lack of patience and full of greediness.

However, the problem with this is that these people fail to recognize whether the price hits the new ATH or not, that’s why instead of selling at the current price, they tend to wait longer and end up selling when the price has declined. Thus, DCA should be more focused and practiced most especially that bitcoin halving and bitcoin bull run and just around the corner.
229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos team identity on: February 19, 2024, 07:10:33 AM
I think casinos protect the privacy of their employees, so that they are safe from intimidation, bribes and also the target for players anger, when they lose money.

Let's also not forget about all the beggars and gambling addicts out there, they would make the lives of these employees a living hell, if they were doxed.  Shocked

You have a point there, mate. That's probably one of the things they consider in keeping their privacy. They may not make it public, but they are not hiding their real identity. If asked, they will not deny that they own or work in a casino. Besides, most gamblers now are doing it online, and for sure, they have a system that is running and cannot be manipulated by people within. These individuals threatening the lives of the owners can't do much, as casino owners are often wealthy, have security measures in place, and know that the law is on their side. So, it's just not very relevant to question why they don't make their names public; it's just the nature of how casinos operate.

Quote
There are also a lot of criminal syndicates that will target these employees to launder or steal money.
In what way? and how would they do that? Employees have different functions, and them messing up the system to make crimes will put them in jail. The casino securities are now sophisticated, remember that we are in the computer era now, everything has a trace so it can be trace.
230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 19, 2024, 06:23:03 AM
Not the kind of result I was expecting in the all star game. I thought this will be a close game but it turns out the East have dominated the game, they are now up by 22 points in the 4th and there's no way the West will be able to come back. Competition will be between Lillard and Brown now, let's see who will win the All star MVP.
Lillard wins MVP, achieving two accomplishments this All-Star: winning the 3-point shooting contest and the MVP title.

However, I agree with @AHOYBRAUSE; this All-Star game is boring to watch. They don't play defense, and all they do is just shoot from the outside. What about the highlights? People want to see some dunks and a more competitive game. I thought the essence of this All-Star event is to see the best players facing each other, and it seems like we aren't experiencing that since they just love to shoot from the outside, probably to avoid injuries. But it doesn't make sense; it's not fun, and I'm one of the many who doesn't like it.

Just look at these stats:

West: 80-143 overall FG (71 3PA), 71/143 (50%) attempted from 3 point area
East: 83-146 overall FG (97 3PA), 97/146 (66%) attempted from 3 point area

So, the team with a high volume of 3-point shots won the game.
231  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A little ignorance and you can lose all your holdings on: February 18, 2024, 08:36:46 PM
cyrpto currency by nature is so easy to steal if someone has access to the right things,
This is like saying your house by nature is easy to break into if you give someone the keys. That is not the nature of Bitcoin, it just means if you give up what signifies access to something, you've handed over that access to someone else.
You are right then. Not your keys, not your coins. Bitcoin investors should not only focus on accumulating bitcoin but first and foremost, they should always ensure the security of their coins. If the guy in the story values much about privacy and not giving access to anyone relating to his bitcoins, then he should have hold them until now. But ignorance kills everything. Gone are the hard-earned bitcoins in just a single wrong decison.

This may serve a lesson not just for bitcoin investors but definitely for all those who are into different investments. If you can’t secure your investment 100%, then don’t bother investing in the first place.
232  Economy / Speculation / Re: What to expect this bull run? on: February 18, 2024, 07:36:27 PM
I hope that later in the bull run the price of Bitcoin can jump even higher than the previous ATH price, at least it can reach above $80k. But anything can happen in the crypto market because prices are very volatile. Therefore, Bull run is approaching and we should not miss the opportunity to reap satisfying profits.
Everyone expects the same thing, namely a new ATH and that it can last quite a long time. Waiting for the ATH which may be near, you have to be prepared with the coins you hold. Bitcoin is of course the main one for that and the top altcoins are the support to increase profits. But is it strong enough to continue holding back and doing DCA? that will be a challenge for any investor holding long term
Even if the most awaited bull run comes, I always think it’s always necessary to never stop hodling and continue doing DCA. There’s always next bull run that will come in the market, at least the earlier we can prepare for it, the bigger profits we will reap. However, hodling does not mean you’re not going to sell at some point. Bull run is the perfect time to sell, so take time to sell but never sell everything. Sell when everyone in the market is taking and enjoying their profits, but always leave even a small portion of btc in your portfolio so you can still expect future profits coming for you.
233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: February 18, 2024, 10:27:26 AM
However, it was Dame time yet again, he defended his title, KAT was only able to make the final round.

KAT and Trae Young both reached the Finals; bettors could have cashed in big money if one of them had won the competition. If I recall correctly, the odds were around x6.5 for Trae Young and x7.00 for KAT. This big man is more reliable than the other bigs; I mean, he has done it before, so there's always the confidence in him. Still, a fun competition to watch. I just miss Curry; things could have been different or easier for him.

I'm not sure if there was a line movement as this article show a different odds.

2024 NBA 3-Point Contest participants, odds
See who to back at SportsLine
Damian Lillard +450
Tyrese Haliburton +480
Trae Young +550
Donovan Mitchell +650
Jalen Brunson +650
Karl-Anthony Towns +700
Lauri Markkanen +700
Malik Beasley +850

Lillard was the heavy favorite and he indeed won the competition, it wasn't a dominant performance, just enough to get a back to back title. KAT could tied with Lillard, but he miss the last shot with 2 points score. I would say the bet almost won if it's on KAT but still fall short. Does anyone here able to predict the winner?
234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jason Moloney vs Reymart Gaballo WBO Bantamweight Title (May 12) on: February 18, 2024, 08:47:22 AM
Great chance for Reymart to become a champion again after falling to Donaire. I think he can beat Moloney as the latter is not so technical. Moloney was KO by Naoya Inoue, so he is not on the level of Inoue which I think Gaballo can also KO him. I'm interested on the betting odds of this fight, perhaps Gaballo will be the underdog, and I'm sure will bet on him to win by KO.
It looks like Reymart will have big chance of getting the championship belt again by defeating Moloney and this is Reymart opportunity to take revenge for his failure when he was defeated by Donaire.
In this fight, Moloney will be under pressure from Reymart because it is certain that Reymart is more careful and he is also boxer who has managed to win 90% by knockout.
Only one who managed to beat him was Donaire and it was truly surprising fight.
It's understandable why he lost against Donaire. It was probably due to the lack of experience in big fights, while Donaire has a lot of experience and is a dangerous fighter who can end his opponents via KO. In fact, Donaire was the only one who gave Inoue a tough battle in his career, so it's safe to say that Donaire and Inoue are on the same level, and if Donaire were still at his peak, perhaps even better.

So, in this scenario, Inoue beat Moloney, while Donaire defeated Gaballo. They are below them, but one of them has a chance to stay as a champion.

But I wouldn't be surprised if the Filipino will be the underdog.
of course he will be.
Of course he will really be the favorite in this fight, he has also been able to prove his prowess in the ring with the various wins and titles he has previously achieved.
Normally champ are the favorite to win, and since Gaballo hasn't been so impressive, then we can't expect him to flip the betting odds.
Let's take what the bookies will offer and decide from there if we bet.
235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Knowing when to own your bitcoin on: February 17, 2024, 07:59:02 PM
I'll go ahead and congratulate you, it's a great achievement and an over 2.5x return on your investment. I don't really care if the OP is lying or not, but I can understand why some are a little sceptical, because a few newbies had attempted to farm merit through their topics. Good luck to you and I hope you continue investing in Bitcoin.
Even if you decide selling at the moment, that would mean big profits already. But invest more and hold more, there’s more to gain when bull run finally comes. Patience is the key. Bitcoin price may won’t get to its new all time high instantly, but that’s the beauty of hodling. Your faith will be tested along with your patience when the market price suddenly moves in an opposite direction, and moves back afterwards. So focus on what you think is right, your goal is to multiply massive profits, and it will only be possible when bull run finally enters the market.
236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos team identity on: February 17, 2024, 04:43:05 PM
The identity of a casino's team is something we rarely across in our forum even though we have like hundreds of announcement topics in this section, promoting services, gambling games and tournaments. This act typically comes around professionalism and hospitality to provide a special customer service. Showing friendliness.and deep understanding of the games offered. Team members may also be a comfortable addition to players here.
Why would they tell their identity in the first place? How would it make their business more successful? If it doesn't help then they can just stick with the norms. There are a lot of businesses in the world that are successful and yet when they advertise, they carry the name of the business not the people behind it.

Till this day I didn't see any casino revealing the identity of their team, owners, employers and responsibles of the casino even though players are required to pass a KYC process for their identity, so I'm wondering have you ever thought about this too? and the reasons why most casinos are not doing this process?

It has nothing to do with us passing the KYC requirement. It's mandatory and they are just bound to follow what the regulators instruct them to do, that's part of the KYC thing, you know. Yes they know us but they are required to take care of our information and keep it confidential.

Well, actually, you can make a research on a casino you are using if you have doubts.
Say, I will now search the owner of stake, I'll just simply search it in google. and this will appear.

In the dynamic realm of crypto gambling, one name has risen above the rest, captivating the attention of gamblers worldwide. Stake.com, founded in 2017 by Australia’s youngest billionaire Ed Craven and co-founder Bijan Tehrani, has swiftly climbed the ranks to become the seventh-largest gambling group globally in terms of revenues. This rising star has not only challenged but surpassed established brands such as DraftKings and 888. As Stake.com continues to gain prominence, many are curious about the individuals and strategies behind its success.

I'm not a sports science expert, but for me he might be taking THT and that's why even at his age, he is still that strong and his body is always in shape even at his age. Again, this is just my opinion.

With this news, will in impact the upcoming fight of these two champions? The testing was during the fight between Callum Smith and Beterbiev, so if he was tested with whatever they found, for sure it's not a violation because the fight concluded, or was it the result only shown after the fight? If so, what was the action of Callum's camp on that matter, and the league in overall?

239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Struggle now to invest in Bitcoin for a bright future. on: February 16, 2024, 08:59:40 PM
One should struggle at first and find great rewards in the future. Even those rich people in the society, I believe they also have their means of struggles so that bitcoin investment will be possible, if it's not money, most likely the time they will spend to study and analyze bitcoin in the market.

I think in all types of investment, if you seek for future success, you should have to sacrifice at the moment so you can gain its benefit in the future. Not only for bitcoin but in different life's attempts, one might be struggling for the mean time and reap its rewards when the time is right.
240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Anyone +18 Play Gamble? on: February 16, 2024, 01:03:40 PM
Think about the situation from following point: what is the age when a person is allowed to work and operate with money? I think with parents allowance, kids from 14 are allowed to have a none 8h working day. If I am not mistaken, they can work 4 or 6 hours. And in my country I think starting from 16 they are allowed to operate with money (cash desk, terminal). This refers to kids at summer selling ice cream. If from 14 or 16 they are allowed to earn officially, why wouldnt they be allowed to gamble? Isnt it wrong that they can not decide themselves what they can do with money they earned? Moreover, if we take +18 as a starting point, then a person at any age above it can make a reckless bet. So it isnt only about reckless, unexperienced, innocent and trustful kid and gambling.
They probably based it on the standard of the law, everyone might be unique but +18 people could be matured already to decide on their own. Although I can say that 18 years is still young to gamble as they can still easily get carried away and might not be able to control their emotion, but that's the law, a gambling site hs to follow, otherwise if there are lots of reports about addiction at that age level, they could increase the minimum requirement to +21.
