thanks for response. I do not remember that explanation, since I set it up some time ago and then didn't use it for long time. " or did you skip reading that part also...." --what else did I skip?
The wallet seed should be written down on paper during the wallet setup process. It is never displayed again and if you don't write it down and lose your phone your coins are gone. So if that's what happened move your coins to a new standard wallet ASAP because phones get lost or stolen all the time.

What does it say in the bottom left corner of the electrum window? Also does the transaction show up in the history tab?
|
|

if you only import them then those private keys will still control your bitcoins. if the fork clients are malware then they can steal your btc too. so it is best to sweep your coins before you go putting those private keys into fork clients.

Please learn how to use the receive tab correctly. When you click save the new button becomes available and when you click that you get a new receive address. You should always use a different address for every transaction precisely so that you can keep track of who sent you money. This is the correct way to use bitcoin!

Input = amount of coins you are using as the source of funds for this transaction Output = what the recipient is getting Fee = excess of input over output
Fees come from your inputs so if your fees are greater than your inputs then the output amount will be negative which is not possible so that's why you get the max fee error message. If you set fees to equal the inputs then the output is 0 which is also not allowed in bitcoin (you have to spend at least 5140 satoshis although individual nodes may have higher anti-spam limits). Low output transactions are called dust in the lingo.
So while all of this is confusing for you it is not a bug. It's just that you are not familiar with the jargon used.

yellow means it's a change address in your wallet. anyway looks like your funds were stolen. sorry for your loss.
Thanks for the reply. if I post a picture or the address is there any way to check? Is there anything I can do or anything Police would do? Could it have landed on my wallet but somewhere else? what balance are you seeing in the bottom left corner of your electrum window? if the coins are in your wallet they would be reflected in your balance. if the money has left your wallet then there is nothing you can do about it.

This amount is too small to be transferred. It's basically the transaction fee for a typical transaction! Even if you managed to transfer it somewhere the recipient couldn't spend it. As for fees they vary according to market conditions. You can set a custom fee by going to tools > preferences > fees tab and checking edit fees manually. Then on the send tab you will get the option to customize the fee. Keep an eye on sites like this one below if you want to know what the prevailing fees are: https://btc.com/stats/unconfirmed-tx

where did you download electrum from? what does it say in the bottom left of the electrum window?
|
|
|
Yes you can create new wallets via file > new/restore, enter a filename for the new wallet, click next and follow on-screen instructions for the rest.

So you've already created and broadcasted this transaction :https://blockchain.info/tx/3bf2e0fdd4a9ad01b83c679f83c247d019ecfa6f18c4fd075978b2c47075200a but it is unconfirmed due to low fees.

Thanks for the reply! I did slide the slider all the way to the left. Unfortunately, I didn't see that website. If I had known, I wouldn't have made the transfer. Also, I didn't click the Preview button because I thought the transfer fee was under $1. Lesson learned. I thought if Electrum could add in a total cost (like when you pay something with a credit card, it lists the fees, like Coinbase does), it could help people understand the final amount. That fee caught me by surprise. I spent about 15 minutes looking at Electrum and Binance and converting mBTC to BTC and then to USD, wondering why my money didn't match up.
Go to tools > preferences > fees tab and check edit fees manually. Now you'll see the absolute amount next to the slider.

Hey, thanks for that. I selected another random server. How soon should I expect to see some movement?
you can try bumping the fee again. currently recommended fees are 400 sat/B

If the transaction is low fee then you can bump the fee. But first to get the transaction to show up switch servers until you it does. Re: what happened, electrum relies on electrum servers for its view of transactions relevant to your wallet. If the server you are connected to has dropped the transaction from its mempool because of low fees then electrum won't see it. So if you change servers you should hopefully find it again in your wallet.

install the latest updates for your OS from microsoft. see if that fixes it.

Multibit classic sets fees that are too low for the bitcoin network. so you need to import or sweep your multibit classic private keys in electrum. There is no other way to get the bitcoins into your electrum wallet. Export your private keys as per this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LaijbTcxsv8 . Then import them into a new electrum wallet or sweep them into your existing wallet.

Coinbase does withdrawals in batches so they sent a bunch of people money at the same time. The other amounts are for these other users. The address in green is yours and that is the only amount that matters to you. Also FYI just look at what it says in the amount field on the history tab. That makes is much clearer.
