Chrono Trigger. Introduced me to RPGs, and still stands up as a great story line and game play with entertaining graphics.
Oh my God I was so happy when I saw the first reply to be Chrono Trigger! That game was the shit and I've had to have played through it dozens of times. It's by far my all time favorite game and I wish Squeenix would just make a 3-D version of it (R.I.P Chrono Resurrection) and stop making all the FF games. I lost track what number they were on months ago.....

Anarchy does have its drawback.

Don't forget scammers thrive in this kind of environment.
The future course of society may be interesting thanks to these technologies but the weak point in all this will be (as always) human nature and therefore I am not too optimistic.

Tough Choice, I'd say Mass Effect 2 for this gen. GTA Vice City for Last gen, Crash Bandicoot 3 on PSX and Pokemon Red/Blue when I only owned a GB

What are you thoughts on the trilogy?

For those of you that haven't watched it, I implore that you do.

The Matrix is a truly excellent movie. Although the movie is a bit hard to follow the brilliant action scenes totally make up for it. This is one of the movies I have watched the most. I bought the DVD - and I think it was certainly worth it.
1225  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is the best thing in the universe? on: June 10, 2014, 11:37:20 AM
Is not on your list, but pride. The feeling after you accomplished something great just by yourself. Sounds selfish but you can attribute it to every accomplishment you made and you feel proud about. Like achieving something unbelievable, making the people around you happy, baking delicious cookies, having the girl of your life...
1226  Other / Off-topic / Re: Apollo 11 fake or real? on: June 10, 2014, 11:24:32 AM
Of course it's fake. Conspiracy Theory Rule #1: Do NOT talk about the conspiracy. This was simple for the Apollo project. The more people you have, the less likely it is that somebody will talk. In this case, Thousands of people involved in the conspiracy have kept their mouths shut thus keeping the conspiracy intact. Can we move on now? Shouldn't we be talking about Roswell or something?

1232  Other / Politics & Society / Re: US culture vs Indian culture on: June 09, 2014, 02:48:40 PM
No doubt we all are true at our front.
Is there not any similarity in both the cultures?
Both US and Indian countries are in two different continents but still they have a few similarities. These are as below:

1. Both countries are democracies.
2. In both these countries the religion has strong holds within the country population.
3. Both these countries have a big film industry with lots of film stars.
There is also one most important similarity is Education is considered the key to success for both countries and also both the countries love to take risks to create wealth and new businesses.

Well.. There is a valid reason behind prevalence of mixed culture in America.. And this is because America is populated by people from different countries and continents..
And on the other hand, it is native Indians who make up the population of India.. so the culture they follow is common..

US culture is often described as a melting pot of cultures!
1235  Economy / Economics / Re: Solution to poverty - Socialism or Capitalism? on: June 09, 2014, 01:45:41 PM
Well, I think neither of capitalism or socialism can be ultimate solution to poverty.. Firstly, we need to expel the fact that poverty can be eradicated.. I guess poverty can never be removed..
People say that Capitalism emphasis on superiority, and thus creates inequality in the society.. True but then it is also inspires one to improve..
Which are today's greatest nations? US, China, France, England, Rome, Greece, and the list goes on and on.. And then these are not only the greatest nations, but they also have the wealthiest population also.. Is there anything common to them? Simply, Capitalism !!
Yes, you are right. One of the main reason the communist countries (Republic of China & Soviet Russia, etc) changed to capitalism was because of the lack of incentive to progress and develop the country!
This is very easy to understand. Imagine you are a hard worker and you are getting paid the same as your co-worker who is very lazy. Pretty soon, you will lose the motivation to work hard also since your hard work is not being rewarded.
But the problem now is, are hard workers being rewarded enough in a capitalistic system? Because time and again we have seen employers who keep making bigger profits because of their employee's hard work but do not attempt to raise their employee's salaries.

Do you think the wealth in a company should be more evenly divided?
1236  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Boko Haram and their reign of terror on: June 09, 2014, 01:12:52 PM
I came across this article today:
"Nigeria's defense chief Alex Badeh says the military knows where the girls are but cannot use force to free them

The Nigerian military has located the schoolgirls who were abducted by Islamist extremists but cannot free them by force, the country’s defense chief said Monday.

Air Marshal Alex Badeh told demonstrators that the government intends to rescue the girls but needs to proceed carefully. “We can’t go and kill our girls in the name of trying to get them back,” he said, cautioning against the repercussions of acting too aggressively, too soon.

Badeh would not disclose the exact location where they believe the girls are being held."

"President Goodluck Jonathan was forced to accept international help in the search this month after several weeks of making no publicized effort to find the children. He even lied to families and the international community by saying most of the girls had been returned."

http://time.com/116772/kidnapped-nigerian-girl-located/

So this is good news? Or can their words still be trusted? Because as we all know, they just recently lied to the International community that 'most of the girls has been returned to their families' to avoid international criticism over their inaction and their lies were found out!

1238  Other / Politics & Society / Re: USA is getting adversely affected by Immigrants on: June 09, 2014, 12:55:56 PM
It is interesting to note that the only two recorded decrease in wages caused by immigrants are the very unskilled labor (No high school diploma) & highly skilled labor (college graduates) categories because those are the two most common educational qualification for groups of immigrants moving to US.
However, this is not necessarily a bad thing, because it will gradually push US citizens in the unskilled labor category to study harder and apply for better jobs because their low paying jobs are taken by immigrants and they also have easier access to education compared to their less fortunate immigrant counterparts & it will also make those in the highly skilled labor section more competitive and strive to improve in their jobs so that they can beat the skilled immigrants.
1239  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Favorite political figure? on: June 09, 2014, 12:53:18 PM
He has been doing a great job,, strengthened his own country as well as allowed to others to flourish...

Strengthening the country? Examples are here:

1. Public debt is at record high
2. US Dollar is getting more and more devalued.
3. The economy still remains in shambles.
Obama  tough for  Medicare or 'Obamacare' as many people like to call it. He realized the need for cheap & affordable healthcare for US citizens and pushed for the bill to pass through despite heavy opposition from his political opponents.

In the past, if you get sick as a US citizen, you had to pay an arm and a leg for healthcare expenses and that financially devastated many families whereas countries like Canada already had free healthcare for a long time.

It was just unthinkable that a developed first world country like US did not have a plan to afford to provide medical care for its citizens whereas their neighboring countries can. I'm glad that Obama has now fixed the issue.
1240  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Boko Haram and their reign of terror on: June 09, 2014, 12:49:40 PM
Boko Haram must be crushed !! It is pathetic to see all this.. I guess all the leading countries - US, China, Russia, UK, France, etc hold the ability to rescue the innocent girls, but they are all quiet.. They are all staying away from Islamic mess.. Someone in their country only has to step up .. Then others are sure to support..
What do you think is the aim of those higher ups in the terrorist cells tearing kids apart from their families, making them fight in terrorist groups and misleading them by twisting the words of the Holy Quran?
Do they also seriously believe in their own grand delusions or are they just using the kids for their own advantages? Because for the life of me I can't figure out any advantages they might gain from organizing those terrorist groups. It's not like they're making a lot of money or are getting high positions and power in the government.
