1221  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cloudmining.website scam, might be starting to collapse. Poor signs. [Dec 2015] on: December 30, 2015, 11:33:19 PM
Wow, they are really collapsed. Look at their reason for no payouts this week from their twitter:

https://twitter.com/cloud_mining_

"Due to increased cost of support & maintenance, most of the miners have run into loss for last week. Hence payment has been halted today."

Forgot to mention the other reason no one is getting any return because it's a scheme.  Roll Eyes

(Note: They are still accepting new payments and users, too. What disgusting thieves.)

If only there was a distributed ledger that the public could read that could tell us exactly how much was mined by them.

Something like that would be neat.
1222  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Master-P POSSIBLE SCAM. I lost complete faith in this forum now. on: December 29, 2015, 01:45:14 AM
That proves absolutely nothing. Everything was transferred in the sale, meaning that the escrow could have been completed seamlessly.

That's a point i can't believe again. Who in their right mind would sell a forum account including wallet that maybe contains 10 bitcoins for 1 or 2 bitcoins? It's pathetic to believe that this could have happened. So stupid can nobody be. Especially not an escrow who is trained to sniff out potential scams.

No, beyond possible.

How can you not believe that people are that stupid? People overpay for coins on purse.io and others think that the super big discounts are legitimate. People buy miners for an amount of money that could buy more btc on the market than the miners could ever hope to mine before becoming obsolete. People think they can outsmart everyone in the entire section of the forum dedicated to ponzi schemes. There is a 92 page thread in the gambling section debating the merits of something that you learn doesn't work in the first day of statistics class. there are people who think that moving a miner across a warehouse and changing the address that the coins go to counts as shipping a product.

You can find someone stupider than someone who thinks they aren't a scammer or are somehow legitimate by selling those escrow coins to someone else to steal instead of stealing them himself on the 1st page of every subsection of this forum.
1223  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cloudmining.website scam, might be starting to collapse. Poor signs. [Dec 2015] on: December 27, 2015, 05:55:12 AM
The obvious cloud mining ponzi is finally running out of money?

The only shocking thing is that it was able to continue for this long.
1224  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: December 23, 2015, 04:20:13 PM
It was clearly a scam. They couldn't/didn't ship products that they had in hand. The fact that there weren't a ton of customers screaming like in the BFL threads was a clue that he was lying about how much there was in preorders.

The claim that money was lost in Gox was also a clue because the money in gox was allegedly from preorders and the reason for the preorders was to raise funds for making hardware. How could he make hardware if all the assets were sitting in Gox?

Taking money from you rubes and not doing anything is not a failure, it's a scam. One that people fell for over and over again back then.

It's long time ago so did he really have the products he wanted to create? I believe he only bought miners from another company. Why should he do that when he really was able to create his own miners?

Taking preorders is not like an investment, right, though a scam would be when you take preorders knowing you won't deliver. Saying that, it might be that he knew at some point and still presold. So at that time it might be possible to say it was a scam at least.

He had hashfast miners in hand and didn't deliver. Scam

Can you come up with an explanation for all those coins on Gox that doesn't end in scam?

Either he was lying about them being there (was there any proof?)

Or they were preorder money from customers (that there's still no proof of) that should have been cashed out to pay for development/expenses/whatever or held in a wallet he controlled until needed.

Or they were the coins you geniuses gave him for the same reasons a the "customers," and all the same reasons that they shouldn't have been on Gox apply to those coins also.

Not to mention that this paragraph:

Quote
Intellihash (TM)

Intellishash (TM) is a unique in-house process designed by ACtM and its engineering team which extends or boosts the usefull hashing life of Bitcoin mining ASIC's. For commercial reasons the full details of this technology are confidential. The process can be applied to ACtM chips and will boost chip lifetime-performance as hash-difficulty rises. The percentage of increased life-time efficiency over a standard ASIC chip is not public knowledge, but the boost is expected to be significant over non-Intellishash capable chips (ie competitors chips).

is 100% bullshit aka SCAM
1225  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY xpy.io BTCLend LNC. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: December 23, 2015, 01:16:50 AM
And don't forget that our new "Carlos-defender" admits that he should have received over 10 DUIs himself. So the judgement ability of our new forum friend may not be the of the highest quality or capability.

where's mordica's childhood friend... we need someone to tell us how that guy was also completely innocent

We don't need his childhood friends, we have his current business partners who are in the process of suing GAW and still trying to save paycoin. They wouldn't lie
1226  Economy / Gambling / Re: In gambling 75% of wins depend on strategy and money management. on: December 19, 2015, 07:59:23 PM
i honestly dont think that the opinion you said is true i usually try to manage my funds and have good strategies though i never win anything decent in gambling i guess that luck is much more important in gambling than you stated in the first post thats why i usually dont gamble

You can't come up with a strategy to beat the house edge in many casino games, there is just no way. In those games the only thing you can do is be lucky.
1227  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is Cryptsy going the way of Mt. Gox and Mintpal? on: December 19, 2015, 06:29:52 PM
I'd be willing to think such a thing might happen, but there isn't any proof aside from some people having their withdrawals take a long time.

If there is anyone on the inside that would be willing to say something, or more information about what is actually happening in the exchange, it would be beneficial for a lot of people.

I hope that your coins are safe, and that you get them soon.

No proof aside from them not being able to do what they are supposed to do. Sounds safe to me.
1228  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Leroy Fodor has gone Full Delusional; StakeMiners is 100% confirmed insolvent! on: December 19, 2015, 02:23:05 PM
What I find truly fascinating about this thread is how ANYONE can think staking shit coins can make more money than just hodling btc atm. There's no way on the planet that guy still has 128 btc worth of shit coins right now. Not possible. If so, show us it's true then Cyberpenoy?  Huh

He can't show you that it's true because every method possible to do that will enable someone to hack his wallets.
1229  Economy / Securities / Re: Help me to build a bond with 3% interest monthly on: December 18, 2015, 05:33:27 PM
Find a way to make more than 3% monthly is step 1.

Not sure why anyone who knew that would share it with you instead of doing it themselves.
1230  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY xpy.io BTCLend LNC. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: December 18, 2015, 05:32:13 PM

200 hundreds of them, grab them while you can, i'm trying to archive the whole lot before the vanish.

good lord!! as if his scammy ass doesnt already have a big enough  footprint pasted all over the freakin intertoobz...

Yep, I believe that his narcissism will be his ultimate undoing.

My Guess is that when he does end up in court, he would rather have the public passing around these pictures instead of the ones with his expensive cars. Passing them around will only help him out.

How will passing around these pictures change the fact that he ran a ponzi scheme?
1231  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: How can I create a Cloud Mining Ponzi? on: December 18, 2015, 05:12:25 PM
Tell people you have miners that will produce more bitcoins than you have to pay for them.

tell them that out of the goodness of your heart you will let them have the profits.

Collect money.

Pay out very tiny bits of it at a time.

Walk away.
1232  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: December 17, 2015, 03:56:20 PM
It's a scam as far as I'm concerned, but what Ken is legally guilty of is running a security illegally. They don't actually care what happened to active as a company, it's just that if you are going to offer shares to be trad d you have certain responsibilities you must adhere to... Like making good on promises of guaranteed returns. Also to not be misleading to investors. Ken owes every shareholder returns he promised yet failed to deliver. If his business went bankrupt legitimately he is still required to do a buy back. He should have held back enough funds to do so yet obviously didn't. Or he did but decided to reneg

They don't care about your returns. Whether he paid you or not, it was an illegal security. It so happens that the people who don't pay returns are the people that get busted because those are the people who get ratted on to the authorities.

He couldn't pay your returns because there was no business because it was a scam. He told you there were customers but there was no proof. Compare the reaction to all the other mining companies failure to deliver to the active mining failure to deliver. The only time there was traction was when he had (someone else's) product in hand, and someone was stupid enough to send him money for it after "failure" after "failure" and there was no delivery because the whole point was to get money from you guys to keep.

1234  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Rick Day has my money. on: December 15, 2015, 03:01:11 AM
I've been waiting nearly 4 months for my BTC withdrawal. Last message from Rick was that my withdrawal would be processed before the 1st of Dec.
It's been 2 weeks since then and still nothing received, not even a simple reply to the multitude of emails I've sent him.

I've tried using the support ticket system but I haven't received any response for over a month.

If iGot is having too much trouble supporting the current amount of withdrawals to the point where they can't reply to support tickets then why are they still allowing deposits?
It doesn't make sense.

It makes perfect sense. They are allowing deposits to get more money. They aren't responding to tickets or paying withdrawals because that would give them less money.

BlueHorseshoe: @sur3fir3616:A year and a half and anyone who's been trying to do btc withdraws for 2 months has had issues, welcome back, just wanted to bring you up to speed.
JShock: @BlueHorseshoe: That is exactly why panic is spreading and withdrawals are backing up

SO YOU ARE ALL TO BLAME !

Did he just inadvertently admit that Cryptsy is insolvent; there is a run on people wanting to cash out in BTC, and they don't have the BTC to deliver ?!

Too many trying to push too much at once is causing more slowdown to the existing issues.

What are these issues?

If the issues are that you don't have the coins you are supposed to, that is a problem. That's also what we're going to assume the issues are until you explain them and give a timetable for fixes.
1236  Economy / Gambling / Re: To Hit or Not to Hit -BlackJack! on: December 13, 2015, 08:15:54 PM
i have seen so many bj strategy book says the correct step is to hit when u get 16, and dealer gets 10, but i tried it many times, at least over 10 times, mostly i lost the hand because of busted, or dealer got 19, 20, i think strategy book may be correct cause hitting only has a little higher chance to win, in this situation (we get 16 dealer gets 10)we are very unlucky.

Hitting on a 16 vs a 10 won't "make you win" but it is still "correct" because you will lose less doing that over time than if you stay every time. 16 vs. 10 in blackjack is a bad situation, the only way to make it good is to get into your time machine and go back in time and walk away from the table before making the bet.

In some gambling situations the least bad option is the best option, this is one of them.
1237  Economy / Gambling / Re: To Hit or Not to Hit -BlackJack! on: December 13, 2015, 08:11:03 PM
Where did you find that article? because that doesn't match with any math I have seen before.

An important thing to realize is that when you have 16 and the dealer has 10 or ace, you are probably going to lose no matter what.

The actual odds depend on how many decks there are, and what the dealer will do on a soft 17, but I don't recall ever seeing any set of rules that makes standing in that situation better than hitting.
1238  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sports trading strategy? on: December 13, 2015, 07:28:19 PM
When attempting "surebets" or arbitrage you need to factor in you chances of actually getting paid. People have trouble getting paid out from some "legitimate" sports betting sites without involving bitcoin, I can't imagine how many shady bitcoin/cryptocoin operations there are out there.

It doesn't matter if you get various bets that "guarantee" you a profit if one of the site won't pay out.

really? can u show some proofs? i don't think those legit fiat sportsbooks won't payout unless the gamblers cheat or violate their terms, of course many casinos ban and delete sure bets, they have already shown in the terms, so don't blame them, arbitragers should trading on pinnacle sports which is the most famous site doesn't ban arbitrage betting.

I'm not going to bother showing "proofs" that there are scummy betting websites out in the world. There are tons of them, a simple google search will help you out.

How many various scam operations have there been on this very forum? how many websites on sportsbookreview have stolen from customers?
