1221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rucoin holders on: September 15, 2013, 12:46:10 AM
I am holding stock. What rate would you like to buy it at? I am willing to trade it for btc, ltc and zetacoin. PM me (and post here to get interest sparked! Rucoin is actually not dead at all and is alive and well, the development may need to be takin over or a new coin spawned from this idea. I like sha256d and scrypt in one coin, and I would like to work on an US version.

yes looks like SHA256 in mode now, the problem is that the ASICs will dominant, and there are so much hash power out there, leaving small players no room to get anything

its called ASIC COIN.

1223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] MarieCurieCoin, all-in-one altcoin (MCC) on: September 13, 2013, 03:39:01 PM
Not to poo poo on anything here - this sounds very well intentioned - but I find the coin name to be very odd and rather random.

Why will it be named that? A good name is very important to a coin's longevity.

Good question. Marie Curie was one of the most, if not the most influential female scientists of all time. Likewise, we hope to create a coin that will influence how we think about altcoins. We hope it will inspire the altcoin community to not only invest in this coin, but also inspire to make better altcoins in general, like the inspiration Marie Curie was and is to a lot of scientists. It may sound random, but I think it has more of a thought behind it than some other altcoins. (which I'm not going to bash)

Yeah she invented chemotherapy and nukes! woo!
1224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][BOC]BountyCoin - PoW+PoS|SHA256|Slow start|Lots of Bounties on: September 13, 2013, 03:36:53 PM
Just wanted to say THANK YOU for an alternative to BTC mining as I'm tired of all the inefficient & power hungry script coins out there and was looking for a new sha256 coin!

Also, all you haters go back to the hole you crawled out of!!! It is very hard to start a new alt coin these days with all the script clones coming out every other week and I completely understand why the author pre-minted some for bounties TO PROMOTE the coin.

I'm looking forward to seeing this coin grow as we do need new alt sha256 coins that would enhance the all mighty bitcoin and maybe even some day replace it  Wink Grin
Hahaha
1225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] SPOTS Pool | 0% Fee | Stratum on: September 10, 2013, 11:12:33 PM
this pool is now a 2% fee, fyi
1226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt Club on: September 05, 2013, 04:01:49 PM
If this is serious, this is pretty disgusting.

An organised pump and dump gang will really harm the image of alt coins. It's taking advantage of people who think that a coin is really increasing in value. The money the gang makes when they sell all their coin at the peak of the spike in value comes from the people who are to late in the selling.

It's a scam. People who do this, in my book, are on the same level as people who pretend to send coins in a transaction and don't.

This thread should be locked and the OP labled a scammer.

shhhh

1228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Extremecoin (EXC) - The 2 month block reward only Crypto. on: August 25, 2013, 11:41:23 PM
Why reduce block rewards, CaptChadd? I personally don't like that idea and I have to admit, it gives people the jump on the pump and dump, then most will drop the coin when it gets down in block size.
1229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Cloudcoin Exchange Topic - post here if you want to trade on: August 25, 2013, 11:39:49 PM
I hope he's aware of your 1% premine coupled with the utterly botched launch.

I will certainly lose respect for any exchange that carries it.  So let this post be a reminder for him as he does his due diligence.

And no, I won't just drop it. There is no excuse from saying on Tuesday that the official launch date is on Sunday, and on Wednesday that the launch already happened 30 minutes earlier. I know you really want to dump whatever coins you have remaining, but any exchange that facilitates that can't be respected. I don't use crypsy (only mtgox, btce, vicurex) but I al ost want to open account with them just to pull it if they help perpetuate this. Or I'll just vow that if they refuse to list it, I will then open an account.

As you do not use Crypsy why bother with reminders !? Should I remind you that it`s not the first coin that was premined and I find this rather good because in this way he can pay for later development and other things. And one more thing - he distributed many coins among users here.

+1 and I dont think Big John would really care if 1 person who admittedly doesnt use his exchange anyways (but rather, uses Btc-e which is much sketchier AND lists NVC.. yes I know cryptsy lists it too but btc-e invented it!) doesnt use his exchange. Im sure he is losing tonnns of sleep over that (sarcasm) LoL
1230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] New Spots Pool - http://thec0de.com/spots on: August 20, 2013, 05:45:06 PM
Spots pool has been mining away Smiley

Thanks to one of our newest members Aurum - Our HASH power is averaging 12MH/s.

I also wanted to make sure everyone is indeed aware.

Spots have superblocks which the front-end may not account for (as it's based on Litecoin which doesn't have bonus/superblocks).

I am working with some devs from SexCoin that may have a way to implement this.

Otherwise, I was considering maybe setting up a faucet to give back to the Spots community.

I just wanted to make sure people are aware of this, and not try to think I'm trying to "pull one over on anyone". Nope... I'm not a code developer - just a sys admin/other.

If anyone has info to contribute on how to get bonus blocks going - hit me up plz Wink
Cool.. let us know if you get a faucet going
1231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] SPOTS Pool | 0% Fee | Stratum on: August 19, 2013, 02:27:07 AM
Great pool. Nice and stable. Pointing 5mhash at it now. Come get some free Spots off our hashes!

This is a deceptive statement. It does not work that way, there are no "free spots" from a pool... you get the spots for the mining you do, period. I dont like the deception here.

2. http://cmc.ltcoin.net (unknown fees)

cmc.ltcoin.net is 2% fee

1238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CSC] CasinoCoin - The Premiere Coin for Online Casino Gaming | No Premine! on: July 19, 2013, 01:15:48 AM
pools raped by big miners not even a single share Sad

why not go solo if u have a decent rig?

Ive wondered this in the past, i was able to connect to solo quicker than the pool so i dunno why.

almost all rejects

10 to 1

what is wrong with it

Do we have to go through this every single time a coin is released? Tons of people trying to mine the same blocks..... happens ALWAYS

Never experienced that, ever.

Guessing you never got in at launch time then.. because this literally happens every time except for a few launches where the diff started higher.
