1241  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitfury ASIC sales in EU and Europe on: August 28, 2013, 12:13:02 PM
Hi!

I had order #217. It's hashing with only 54 watts from the wall!!

Very much thanks to Punin & Bitfury group!

1242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: August 26, 2013, 09:47:58 AM
they have no chips at the moment. maybe they plan to build a taskforce to fly to china.

How you know they don't have any chips at the moment? can someone write to them if they have the chips already produced?

https://www.kncminer.com/news/news-30

"Today we have our PCB’s back from the assembly house. These boards will each contain one ASIC chip and be individually connected to the main controller board. The Chip in the picture below is an FPGA which we are using to emulate the full functionality of the boards."

Am I missing something.. but doesn't 250 amps at like 5V draw 1250 Watts? You'll need huge PSU for their biggest miners that include like 4 of those ASICs, right? ...If one ASIC chip draws over 1kW..

Seriously? You just removed a post that critisised something? I see you're all in for "no censorship"

No, I removed the post because you didn't read anything I said in CoinChat, or in the post above, or in the OP. Also, you have a new PM that I see you're ignoring.

Criticizing it? Nah, you're trying to shit on me. I wanted to record who wanted to use the forum, that's what I'm doing.

LOL, that's censoring!!

I don't define deleting annoying or trolling posts as censoring.

TBH, Boelens doesn't like me and I don't like him, most of his arguments are purely so that he can annoy me or try to bash me.

This might be the exact reason why people like MNW are banned (he was handpicked from the group of trolls to be banned due trolling).
It's all about personal relations and right now you are doing the censoring because of personal relation. There's no much point for you to talk about non-censoring forums anymore, right? It just doesn't work this way.

Yeah how about no?

Forums are not meant to be playgrounds of kids. Stuff like "after three strikes, moderator loses his moderation powers"...

I think there's no real reason to start new forums since bitcointalk.org is fine, atleast for now.
1246  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitfury ASIC sales in EU and Europe on: August 21, 2013, 07:27:59 AM
Good news everyone!

Just got batch of 20 boards from the factory and tested them. They work perfectly! We're still on schedule! Smiley

Awesome! When will the boards be most likely shipping to customers?
1247  Other / Meta / Re: A bitcoin ponzi scheme scam ADVERTISED on bitcointalk.org ?? WHY??? on: August 21, 2013, 07:10:58 AM
Read the linked bitmit description.  You send coins and AFTER three years he sends back 3x as much.  There are no payments over time.   It is stupid, and "investors" are almost certainly going to lose everything but it isn't a ponzi.
Not everything is a ponzi scheme.  I have a feeling if someone mugged you on the street you would be telling the policeman you were a victim of a ponzi scheme.
I read the linked bitmit description. Did YOU read it?

He does not say he will send the coins AFTER three years, he says he will send the coins WITHIN three years.

"I will transfer 3 Bitcoins (BTC) over the Bitcoin network to a single-transaction Bitcoin address of your choice within 3 Universal Time Coordinated (UTC) calendar years."

Why are you lying so blatantly, when everyone can check it? There are feedback from other users, stating that he already sent them 3x BTC.

THIS. IS. A. PERFECT. EXAMPLE. OF. A. PONZI. SCHEME.

And it's getting more "customers" from these forums..  Undecided
Why can't theymos just accept only clearly legit ads? There are plenty of those available and showing them could actually increase the credibility of bitcoin (showing ponzi / scam ads decreases it).
If there just were ads to services and goods that can be bought with Bitcoin..  Shocked People could actually see what Bitcoin can be used for!! (if not these currently advertised mining "ponzi" schemes/scams/"investing opportunities")
1248  Other / Meta / Re: Search timeouts for 90 sec on: August 18, 2013, 07:47:18 AM
Same when you're logging in.. 45 sec timeout if you fail to login is too much. Should be like first 5 tries can be with 0-3 sec timeout and if 5th try fails, give that 1 minute timeout or so.
1249  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is TradeFortress breaking the law? on: August 17, 2013, 05:05:42 PM
One is a personal attack and one is not.

TF's attack is on a currency. Do I agree with him? No I don't. If he paid to advertise this fact then no I don't agree with that personally but in the end it's done as a political statement or for some commercial reason I'm unaware of.

That is very different from setting up a site to attack an individual and then taking advertising on that site.

It's making all this seem very personal. Just my opinion.

The attack is against a company, its' employees and its' product, not currency.

This "attack against TF".. We can call it "an attack against immoral, shady and illegal activities".
1250  Other / Off-topic / Re: Awesome ad: "Triple your bitcoin" on: August 17, 2013, 02:29:16 PM
If I were in charge of this ad system, this wouldn't be allowed by me. I mean both of the cases, that "triple your bitcoins" -shit and malicious code attempting ad.

Seriously: keep scammers and untrustworthy people scamming and fucking up at your forums, ban people for silly reasons (different rules for different people Smiley), accept scammy/shady ads on the forum.. (you could've refunded instead of putting them in the rotation).. You need to rest or hire someone else to do your job. But nice job spotting the malicious code, though I don't see even accept anything else than text/image as an ad.
1251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Poll] [Contest] Dailybit.net Logo Contest Vote for the winner. on: August 16, 2013, 11:20:30 AM
Voted the last option, though it looks like DAILYBITO.

1253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Miner's Official Coin LAUNCH - NUGGETS (NUGs) on: August 16, 2013, 09:59:49 AM
Isn't this supposed to be at alternative coins section?
1254  Other / Meta / Re: [CENSORSHIP] Matthew N. Wright on: August 16, 2013, 09:24:10 AM
I wonder how Matthew would feel of he was reading this now.

He's far too self centered to not be reading it daily.

And I'm sure he's laughing his ass off that you guys still buy his bullshit after all he's done.  Y'all getting trolled and don't even know it. Amazes me how dumb smart people can be when you press the right buttons.

Not everyone here is for the person, but for the cause. Banning for trolling is censorship, and against what the community is. How about you give a trolling tag, and ban scammers. There is a reason there is an ignore button, who gives a shit what he says just click ignore.

Edit: I mean come on
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=274749.0
The guy even tried to fuck the entire forum via the admin, no ban, or scammer tag. what the hell is wrong with that picture?

This - if MNW is banned, others are banned.

Try to understand they are only trying to do what's best for us, dependless on their own relations..
Or maybe it's theymos' forum and he can do what he want with it? Wink

Maybe MNW trolled a bit too much finally?

But there certainly are more people that should get banned, too...
1255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does bitcoin really has no central authority? on: August 16, 2013, 08:46:06 AM
I have noticed that a few days ago a weird 0.015BTC transaction (https://blockchain.info/tx/77822fd6663c665104119cb7635352756dfc50da76a92d417ec1a12c518fad69) distorted part of the whole network. I don't know anything about codes, but I guess that it couldn't be done by ordinary folks.

It can be made by anyone. If one wants to add messages to blocks, one needs to mine that block. Currently it's super hard for individuals to mine blocks themselves (without a pool). But a transaction like that can be made by anyone, yeah. Though I don't know do you need to mine a block to include this kind of tx or do nodes relay these normally.
1256  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Bitfury is looking for alpha-testers of first chips! FREE MONEY HERE! on: August 16, 2013, 08:41:16 AM
Ah - thnx for the correction.  The 10pc orders showed as out of stock a week or two ago.
Would be nice to see more options for smaller bulk quantities.
i kind of love these chips.

Yeah, I was kinda interested in a few too, but even the main (EU) site (I'm UK based) no longer lists chips in any quantity.

Any idea when the tinkerers might be able to get hold of some (my electronics skills are nowhere near up to your standards, but I reckon I'll be able to cope with these, at least they're not BGAs Wink ).

I heard the chips will be for sale very soon, most likely in few days.
1257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pump and dump collective? on: August 16, 2013, 08:21:52 AM
Means you will not be able to control the crowd. The single big coin holders can move the market on their own.. If you wanted to do it as a group, you need super trusted partners. And it's not even guaranteed to work!
1258  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: If they don't have Stocks Available " Please Don't Buy " "No More Pre Orders" on: August 16, 2013, 08:18:48 AM
Making sure everyone got my Message

I've seen the chip..! If you haven't, check out some serious photos of real already mining chips. (ASICMINER, Avalon, BFL, Bitfury)

Group buys makes it cheaper (probably) and less risky to participate in the mining fever. You should probably next target that those miners -will not- make ROI.
1259  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Here to try out the ASICMINER Erupter USB Miner, opinions? on: August 16, 2013, 08:13:04 AM
I see.

Would the blade make more sense then?

Anyway, just figured that I would want to play around with the whole idea of mining for a bit.
This is more about educating myself on the ins/outs of mining more than actually making $$ Smiley

Thanks for the tip!

Cheesy

Ok. I am also going to buy an USB block eruptor but I'm waiting for cheaper prices. I don't know about the blade. There are some serious boards coming (out of pre-order stage) soon. I recommend bitfury-powered miners.
1260  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Here to try out the ASICMINER Erupter USB Miner, opinions? on: August 16, 2013, 08:02:00 AM
Hi. You will never(?) get back the amount you pay/paid for your ASICMINER USB block eruptors.
