1242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Placing bet on WWE on: March 20, 2023, 07:20:26 AM
From my understanding of wrestle mania WWE,I see it as a fixed fight, which there is an agreement of who will win the fight. Despite all these people still buy tickets to watch the fight. I don't see this as a transparent fight, but people still bet on this fight. Is it that they are ignorant of this fight fixing or they are addicted to gambling and just bet on whatever come across them. As a gambler will you bet on such fight, when you know that the fight is fixed and the outcome of the fight is not for real,or will you go ahead to bet for fun?

Yes it’s fixed match but it’s same with betting on oscar award and other entertainment program that the result is already predetermined. This is the sportsbook issue because they are the one who will be at risk for betting manipulation if someone has an insider info on the result. But it’s still a normal betting option for a normal bettor because you don’t know what’s gonna happened unless you finish the match.

The result will not gonna change once the script is finalize same with other entertainment sector that betting option is already available. Betting on this category is not dumb because you will have a better chance of winning if you knew that the wrestler is a crowd favorite. As my childhood favorite entertainment show, betting on wrestling is more entertaining than betting on regular sports because there’s a lot of shit happening on the canvas.  Cheesy

Yeah. This is a simple analogy but many are still ignoring because they have self interest. Many people keeps questioning the need of KYC of the casino because they want to play but they don’t want to submit their details for unknown reason. They are criticizing the casino in hopes that KYC will be lifted if many people demanded to remove it which will not gonna happened because the law is asking for it and not the casino itself.

Casino like Duelbits do what’s best on how they will limit requiring KYC to their customers. It took my account 2 years before I was required KYC here. This show how good Duelbits on not implementing KYC as long as they can avoid it.

Some will probably disagree, but I think more and more casinos are implementing KYC, even for small withdrawals and even if there is no suspicious activity on your account. I can understand that some want to stay anonymous but I don't really have a problem doing it, if it is a legit casino. Similar as Bitiniy, I have been asked to do KYC on several casinos, for small withdrawals.

Same here. I recently do a KYC for participating bonus too often but I don’t hesitate to submit my KYC because I trust the casino and I knew that I will do this at some point in the future because it’s clearly stated in theirs terms that they might ask it without an exact time.

Most lf the KYC problem is when a user that didn’t want to KYC deposit on the casino expecting that they will not ask immediately KYC then suddenly being required after they withdraw in the casino. There’s a lot of similar case like this in the post that user funds is lock on the casino because they refuse to do KYC even they are aware on it.

It's true to read rules of events like free spins before joining it. If you see rules are not attractively good enough or contains some requirements you don't like because you see it violates your privacy, simply ignore those events.
Right if you are not comfortable with the rules then don't participate at all in them because after that you won't have any excuses and we are not forced to do anything.Like for KYC if we are comfortable with it we can proceed further and if not then we have choices also so choose accordingly.

1245  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Can I post this ? on: March 19, 2023, 12:03:27 PM

Tough story man... Cry I assume they don't even have 14K. Unfortunately Curaçao license is not a guarantee in these cases. 14K is really worth it, try to reclaim the money, for example, during a weekend trip to the country they accept: if ok, then its cool! And if there's no go, then it's a scam, but at least you visited the new place...

This casino doesn’t have a Curacao license or any license to operate. A confirmed case like this will surely being handle by Curacao since they are already taking action on reports submitted to them. A case like this that acknowledge by multiple gambling platform review like Askgambler will make the casino yield to give the reward but since this casino has no legal obligation then this case will never be solved because there’s no way to file the complaint.
1246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How my lack of knowledge has blinded me so far on: March 19, 2023, 11:55:02 AM
There are people like me who dislike KYC verification requirements from online casinos, and I always have two complaints about it.

1. Why the need for KYC.

It’s the requirements of their license to legally operate in the countries that accept their license. Casino is being use to launder money. If you are not aware then do some research.

2. Why pretend they won't ask for KYC, but ask for verification after a big win.

Casino doesn’t pretend that they won’t ask KYC. User just assumed it by not reading the ToS. Their ToS stated that they can ask KYC anytime. They just didn’t do it on the spot when you register.

I hate KYC too but if this is what the law requires then we have no choice if we really want to still use the service. We have a choice to avoid using it. KYC is not necessary to ask by decentralized casino or casino without gambling license.

I was curious about the game so I sent a few sats to play. But alas, with the increase in the price of bitcoin, the fee has also increased to more than $3 so I went for low priority, which costs around $1.63. I don't know how long it will take to arrive in my account but I'll just wait.

But hey, I immediately saw that my account had been credited with my deposit even though the network hadn't confirmed it. I'd love to see it but maybe I'll use it to play games before bed. Wish me luck Grin
This is the best feature of Bitcasino. It supports instant deposit feature which credit your deposit once it’s registered as unconfirmed in the blockchain. The only thing you need to watch out is the possibility to cancel your deposit because your deposit transaction will never be completed on your casino wallet transaction history.

Nevertheless it’s very this thing will happened. Enjoy on your game!
1248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What other ways are available for purchasing Bitcoin? on: March 18, 2023, 04:16:48 PM
Charles Hoskinson stated that cryptocurrency needs to cut ties with banks, how do you think this will work out? Because I use Fiat through Bank to purchase Bitcoin and other altcoins, is there any possible way that this can work out? What ways can someone buy Bitcoin without the help of Banks?

Aside from P2P, You can use money remittances to purchased Bitcoin. In our country, there’s an app called coins.ph that let you cash in fiat to their system through the use of money remittances services then let you convert it on Bitcoin without the use of banks as middleman for your transaction.

Banks is inevitable to use when we are talking about fiat. We might see some alternative but we still need banks in the future once we are dealing with huge amount. The only time we don’t need bank is when Bitcoin becomes a legal tender since we can purchase goods using it directly.

Those who wish Binance listing so badly, how many BFG do you hold? How many tokens you want to dump so badly that you sleep and dream about listing? I bet you have not more than several hundreds bucks worth tokens. New token listing rarely gives huge price multipliers. Based on coinmarketcap info, alts get x5-x10 on DEXes, so imho expect around x5 in most positive scenarios if BFG gets listed on Binance. What makes that you want to get your thousand or two, and drawn BFG to the bottom. Will it really be worth to drawn BetFury like that?

Binance listing is really useless if there will be no changes on current utility of BFG. BFG is very dry which holders is just relying for the team to have a buy back using part of the casino profit while there’s no transparent report on much casino made to verify the cut for BFG holders share.

I’m holding BFG tokens but not that much. I don’t expect any explosive price pump on this token even if it’s listed on Binance if the team keeps using BFG tokens for their partnership and marketing because they are the one who unload first their token before everyone can.
1250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: March 17, 2023, 03:30:15 PM

OG is not the same anymore since their carry topson and ana is not on the team and also the complexity of their team does not exist anymore I guess they need to check first their team whats the wrong with it, imagine Team liquid right now just one player can change all the things happen in the game I guess if this might continue Liquid will manage again to be part of the back to back ti champs unless they can kick the tundra and TS right now.

Totally agree. The current OG is playing by the book that makes them easy to read and counter. Their rotation is so predictable that makes it useless and waste of time. They don’t have good vision on most of their that makes them always play on defensive position. This is not the real OG mindset. I think the OldG on division 2 might replaced them in Division 1 in the future if they didn’t step up their game.
1251  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Taking loan for investment can be life threatening on: March 16, 2023, 03:24:18 PM

I find out that his friend is focusing on meme coins only, he invested in crypto projects on pink sale, and the names are the type that you will laugh at when you hear them, I later told my uncle to keep praying that things go his way, he still believes that his friend is better than me and I am not trying to prove that I am better.

I hope things go well like they hope, but this is a very big concern for me, because if anything happens, he will be left alone to pay back the loan, this can be life threatening because he is old and the loan amount is a lot, or do you have any better idea about this? What would you have done if you are in my shoes?

This statement looks like your a little butthurt that your uncle choose someone over you to trade his money. You didn’t mention if you offer your trading service or not because it’s very unusual to criticize someone for not choosing you if you didn’t offer yourself to the person.

How much money we are talking about here because this loan will become real shit if your uncle doesn’t have any capacity to pay it. Investing on meme coin means 99.99% of your money is considered as loss because this token has no real value at all. Anyway you just leave him be because it’s your uncle problem. He might blame you incase those meme coin pump miraculously while he miss that profit opportunity. Just remind what’s the risk involved on meme coins though.

This is a short term promo. 18th of March is just at the corner. It is for the smart gamblers. The promo amount is attractive which will make gamblers to cause traffic in the site. I will like to participate in this St. Patrick day tournament. When I checked the promo link, it is very good and simple and it is different from the main Duelbits site. But the promo site is full with articles and the articles also make the site beautiful. But why the St. Patrick Day promo can not be in the same site with main site? With that gamblers will see other features of Duelbits and likely to fall in love and stay put.

Are you talking about the patrick-legends listed on this page at duelbits ?

https://duelbits.com/promotions/patrick-legends

As I can see this is a tournament that actually consists of three tournaments. There is a total of $10,000 prize money which will be distributed among the 95 players and the one who ends up ranked first will get 3000$ prize.

Duelbits have 3 active promotions dedicated to St Patrick's day. 2 promotion on Slot games and 1 promotion on the Duelbits exclusive Blackjack table. I think all the promotion requires a huge Bankroll since the promotion on the slot game is a race-type tournament while Blackjack promotion needs 20$ minimum bet in able to participate. I'm sure Duelbits will launch separate promotions on Twitter for plebs players like us. That's the most interesting part.

What will happened to those who use the mixer previously. Is there a chance that my Bitcoin will be connected by Bitcoin use from money laundering or we are still safe? I use Chipmixer every week to mix my coins. It’s sad to read this bad news.  Cry
1257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meme coins still a good invest? on: March 15, 2023, 02:07:39 PM
Do you think that meme coins still have a chance to do well in the next bull market? Would you still invest on projects like shiba inu and floki inu.

In fundamental aspect. Meme coin is never become a good investment because it doesn’t have real utility. All meme coin is just created for a sole purpose of pump and dump scheme. You literally just trying your luck that these coin will pump out of nowhere due to luck if you invest on this coins. Why do you need to waste your money by risking on this garbage coins while there’s a lot of token out there that has a real utility like Bitcoin.

If your concern is just the volatility, you can always use the leverage feature to scale your profitability with same capital amount.
1258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SVB collapse, maybe there were crypto startups. on: March 15, 2023, 02:00:51 PM
AFAIK, SVB received a bailout from the the government which rescue all the customers money. This save everyone that has money on it which makes crypto market rally in an insane speed due to this hype. Although it’s too early to celebrate since this will have an implications if other banks will do the same which government will shoulder all.

It’s not a direct bailout but surely the government rescue SVB funds.

1259  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Security bindings for bitcoin on: March 15, 2023, 12:47:23 PM
What really do you think about safety of btc, probably some form of legal bindings legacy for the project. Am assuming if btc has this securities it will do it more good improving the stability of government collaborating with project for longer extensions and records.

Do you know if btc have this binding records or what is the safety security of it?

Bitcoin is decentralized. Legal bindings will just make Bitcoin centralized because all address will be registered and tracked by the government. Why you will need Bitcoin if you want to have a legal binding. More likely you are looking for a security tokens to have this feature and not Bitcoin.
1260  Economy / Economics / Re: Lending money or damaging family bond ? on: March 13, 2023, 02:02:51 PM
If you have the capacity to lend someone in your family that will not gonna give huge impact to your finances then why not help them? Unless this guy has multiple unpaid loans to you then you should not lend him anymore. Human is not a natural untrustworthy, there situation just push them to become that kind of person. I have this kind of cousin too that continuously badgering me about borrowing money. I can’t give him the amount that he want but I still lend him money that I can afford.

Sometimes family is worthy than money especially if you will see this person most of the time because they knew you are financial stable which is painful for them to be turn down.
