The Jupiter show in the video stops hashing, I wonder what's going on. I expect news soon.

It might have peaked at 596, but the sustained speed looks like it's going to be more like 500. I'm ok with 500, especially if they ship out my order within the next week!

I'm more concerned about power at the wall though. KNC seems like its going to be the most power hungry of all the gen 2 ASIC miners.

i guess those guys know their chip. when they announce 576+ then you can bet that they have a reason for doing so.

why should they state 576 an have alot of trouble when everybody would be happy with 500 anyway? doesnt make any sense.

so you can bet it will be 576+

Website already says 550+ for the Jupiter
Yeah but how overclocked is that? Like I keep pointing out the video shows an unacceptable 19.6% HW errors.

I think we have to wait until miners will be delivered to customers to get real numbers, both in terms of hashing rate and power consumption.

edit: with "real numbers" I meant verified by third parties

> 600 GH oc capabilities? Is that what I picked up from the hints?

You will need some modifications then. The four pcie connectors can deliver 150w x 4 for a total of max 600w. A standard 4pin molex can deliver 132w per atx specifications. If you rely on the rumored 1.4w/GH, that would give your miner a maximum theoretical of 732w/1.4w = 522.85 GH. If you want more, you´re going to have to solder some extra 8pin pcie connectors in there somewhere.

Here I see 6 sockets in the PCB

Happy 600th!!...Sooo, wanna hear something cool?? Roll Eyes

come on man dont leave us hanging

I didn't. Go back, and read again.

Are you really implying that a jupiter can mine at 600 GH/s ?

He said something "cool" not "hot" Cheesy

take this into account:

(And so far all the chips so far have a 100% yield rate. Grin)

I was joking AussieHash & sickpig.

Is no one else going to comment on the fact the case is flat-pack?  Grin

maybe miners hosted into KnC facility will have custom case, no ?

If you look at the datacentre photos, looks like the boards are going directly on the shelves

oh thanks, somehow I missed this picture.

Well done Orama, it's a great watch.

all of sudden everybody is quiet... I know what you're doing. You're looking for the perfect image to put on page 600 Tongue
1249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: September 30, 2013, 01:40:46 PM
I visited their new office (not the factory!! where Orama is) and was told that the chips are hashing and that the Jupiter should be above the specs of 400 GH/s.

There were a couple more tidbits of info that I guess may not be official or set in stone so for what it's worth it I will just say that I got a lot more relaxed after talking with them in person and getting that info (mail communication was not working).

really appreciated

still believe, that they will ship first miners today.

sorry to bother but my english is a little bit rusty. is this a question?

this is statement of hope.)

we share the same hope then

old picture.

guys please, as I always said, just skim through the last few pages before posting.

Has KnC ever said this is a monolithic die, or possibly 4 (or more) dies in a package?

this what I thought the first time I saw the PCB

It's just exhausting, this thread.  It's the first thing I check when I wake up (after pool stats).  And I'm only checking for REAL news.  And instead, we get 8 pages of new/old FUD and fantasy.  And that's a complete downer.

Can we all agree, when there is some REAL news to report, that someone will start a new thread and we can all let this one die?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=304567.0

why didn't you set up a self-moderated thread?
1256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: September 28, 2013, 09:02:32 PM
just a little nugget of info from Orama would be nice. I have arrived, everything looks good, no info yet etc.
Actually better still, a little nugget from KNC would be better considering the last BIg news we got was on the 26th which was basically telling us we could no longer ask for refunds
(The big news is that all the production orders that are due for delivery before October 15th have now been confirmed with the factory for final assembly and our production schedule is now locked. As such, we are not able to make any more changes)

Orama seems on line now (23:02 CET):

For anyone interested to know why the thread lost so many pages, I am certainly sure is because Bargraphics deleted more than a thousand posts from his profile:

I owe you a beer, I spent all afternoon wondering who deleted all those posts.

No idea who, but if that quote of Sam's was from this thread I can't find it, and I looked.

did someone find out whois deleting posts from the thread?
moderator or a simple user?

kncminer posts counter didn't change in the last 10 mins. that means the they are not deleting their own posts
