1261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why People Still Gamble? on: June 13, 2023, 05:47:32 AM
It is called "addiction" my friend.

There are millions of people with a gambling addiction problem and they could care less about what other people say about gambling. There are also millions of people that live in poverty and gambling are giving them hope for a much better life.

People see a VERY small amount of people that are winning large amounts of money and they hope that will also happen to them. A perfect example are all the paid online streamers that are playing with casino funded money.
1262  Economy / Economics / Re: Twitter ad sales down 59%, company valuation down 66% on: June 13, 2023, 05:41:22 AM
In my opinion, there is a certain amount of Musk's own guilt here. He rushes from one extreme to another without a clear business strategy. One day he wants to be CEO, the next day he doesn't. Perhaps that is his plan: to destroy Twitter. Doesn't Musk have the money to hire proper advisors?

No, I disagree with you...

Elon Musk had some "trouble" with the previous owners and management of Twitter and I think he thought it would be a good idea to buy the platform and fire all those people. (Just to teach them a lesson)

This strategy failed, because Twitter was not "healthy" financially, when he bought it and when Musk realized that, it backfired on him. He wanted to back out of the deal, but they backed him into a corner.... so he went ahead with the deal. So the acquisition of Twitter was a "bad" deal.... and the people who angered Musk, got the best end of that deal.  Roll Eyes
1263  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: After Bitcoin: Investor's Exodus to Virtual Money on: June 12, 2023, 07:17:10 AM
I understand that some people want to be innovative and that they want to try new things, but a unedited book on GitHub with a massive "Wall" of text are not the way to do that.

When you do something "new" and "innovative" ...it has to be better than whatever came before it. How are you improving on Blogs or Books or Wikipedia for that matter?
1264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you guilty of promising not to gamble for specific days but back next day on: June 12, 2023, 07:10:13 AM
That is one of the strongest signs of gambling addiction and there are not levels of addiction. You gradually become addicted to gambling and then you are addiction... period. If you cannot resist the temptation to gamble, then you have a gambling addiction problem and then you need to seek help for that.

After you received help for the gambling addiction, you have to stay away from it for the rest of your life... not dive into it again and hope that you would be able to control it.  Roll Eyes
1265  Economy / Economics / Re: Effects of Cryptocurrency Adoption on: June 12, 2023, 06:51:35 AM
You mentioned a lot of 3rd world countries in your post and I have to agree that Bitcoin is showing a lot of potential in those countries. It is said that Remittance might reach $700 billion in 2023 and if only a small potion of that can be done via Bitcoin, then adoption will go through the roof.

Also, the Bitcoin Lightning Network is built for fast and cheap transactions and with most people not even having access to the banking system, Bitcoin might be the best alternative.  Wink
1266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC holders, do not reveal your identity online on: June 12, 2023, 06:41:49 AM
I think some bad characters invested in his Ponzi scheme coin, because he is a Co founder of Onfo Coin. The law enforcement officials says there are no foul play, but his wallet, two phones, a laptop, and other items was still inside his car.  Roll Eyes

In any way, it does not matter if you are a Crypto millionaire or if you only have 1 or 2 coins... you do not tell the world about your token ownership, because you make a target of yourself when you do that.  Roll Eyes
1267  Economy / Economics / Re: China reopening was a flop, if we're heading to deflation, what about Bitcoin? on: June 11, 2023, 12:14:00 PM
OP, I cannot figure out if you are genuinely curious about the influence that China has on the US economy ..or if you are simply trying to protect the US economy? You recently also created a thread about the "Dedollarisation" attempts of the BRICS countries ==> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5451836.msg62383862#msg62383862 to shoot down their efforts.  Huh

Why are China such a threat to you? I am not from China and I do not support all their strategies... but I am open minded enough to see what they are doing and why they are doing this. The world are flooded by FUD about China and the BRICS countries to "Rule the World" ... I think the West are too focused on destroying their own economy.. than stopping this from happening. (Reduce Debt / Make better political decisions / reduce protective trade conditions and just grow the economy naturally)  Roll Eyes
1268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The role of Bitcoin in eliminating unemployment in our country on: June 11, 2023, 09:55:59 AM
I think the key potential that Bitcoin can unlock, is the jobs for micro payment. There are loads of "online" tasks that people could do for micro payments. Example : Writing letters to people for say $0.50 per letter and paying with the Lightning Network. This task can be done from anywhere in the world. (A company doing this do not have to hire a full-time secretary with expensive benefits)

The signature campaigns on this forum is another perfect example.... People in 3rd world countries can live off the income of a weeks signature payments.  Wink
1269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is There A Time That You Calculated All Your loses In One Year on: June 11, 2023, 09:45:26 AM
It is almost impossible to count your losses, if you win and you also withdraw your losses and then deposit again and also count all the money that you spend on lottery tickets and also count the small amounts that you win.... but with a great deal of effort, it might be possible.

If you are going to do that, then you should also calculate the amount of money that you spend on other things, like Fast food / Movies / Streaming services / cigarettes / Alcohol ... etc. The total amount will also astonish you, because it is an expenditure over a long period.  Roll Eyes
1270  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: June 11, 2023, 09:23:42 AM
-snip-
If you follow the stream.

The code is always has some error "unknown error", is happening during the stream. Why I know? because I also claim the code and following the claim code:
- Uknow error every time claiming
- During the claim, nothing is happening
- The claim reward has a delay.

My waggering around 10K are happening after the reset is on Saturday (6/4).

Well, according to Eddie, these errors happen ...because their system were not developed for 1000s of people claiming bonus codes at once. It overloads their claim option and then generates these errors. You should just continue claiming the bonus code, until you get it. It can sometimes take 2 or 3 .... or even up to 10 times.

The thing is, you are competing against many other people who are also getting these errors and there are only a limited amount of codes to claim. If you try to claim too many times in quick concession.. you get the Captcha ... and that can kick you out of the race.  Roll Eyes
1271  Economy / Economics / Re: Dedollarisation fails before starting, Russia and India halt rupee trade on: June 10, 2023, 08:11:07 AM
Well, the BRICS countries consist of some of the larger countries in the world.... namely, Russia / India and China.... and once they start pushing their Fiat currencies into other smaller countries, then it will be a step closer to the dedollarisation of the US Dollar.

The US Dollar did not become a global reserve currency over night, it took the US a long time to pimp their currency to weaker economies all over the world. The cracks in the US economy are showing.... and the other countries are seeing that... and they want to be ready when it all goes up into flames. (We know the US use war to hide their flaws or to shift the attention to a reset in the global economy)  Wink
1272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how to get over it on: June 10, 2023, 07:58:36 AM
I think you are addicted to the adrenaline rush that you get from gambling. The small bets does not give you that rush of adrenaline, because it is a low risk bet. You have a serious problem and if you do not have the money to back that kind of betting, then you are going to be out on your ass on the street.  Roll Eyes

I will not bet like that, even if I had Elon Musk's or Drake's bankroll.... because it's a recipe for a disaster. You soon get into a habit to bet like that and before you know it, then your savings are gone.  Tongue
1273  Economy / Gambling / Re: Profit By Betting on Losing Teams on: June 10, 2023, 07:51:02 AM
If you take the time to do the research on why a team will lose, why not just use the time and find out why they will win? I see strategies like this and I try them, but I never go into profit.... because the house is rigged to win.  Roll Eyes

I like to bet on the teams with the highest change for the win, even though the odds are small... just pop a few of those into a small multi bet with a large amount and put your head between you legs and hope for the best.  Grin
1274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe are physical exchanges in your neighborhood. on: June 10, 2023, 07:42:34 AM
Well, I always make sure I go to a place where they have CCTV for the exchange... so that the people that I trade with will know that they are on CCTV, if they want to do something funny. I also do not go alone and I make sure that I am not followed after the exchange took place.

The best thing to do is to go to Bitcoin meetups, where you build trust with small exchanges with other people that you meet there. We do this in a local pub or restaurant... so we make a lot of new friends.  Wink
1275  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Deckbound: collectible card games based on bitcoin on: June 09, 2023, 06:28:56 AM
I have seen a similar type of game, called : Augmentors that was sponsored by one of the investors in the series - Shark Tank on TV. The site is augmentorsgame.com and it is still active after all of these years, but I do not know if it is successful or not. (founded in 2016)

I did not buy any of the tokens back in the day, because there were many of these "token" based projects doing the rounds and I thought it would just be one of those fly-by-night projects.

Good luck with your project... I will check in to see how you progress.  Wink

1276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Apple Vision Pro and its Implication in Online Gambling on: June 09, 2023, 06:08:44 AM
The barrier to entry for mass adoption of this new technology are the price. The average gambler does not have $3,499 for a headset and the developers are not going to develop games that can only be played by a few people that have the money to pay for those over priced  headsets.

I think some highrollers might buy this and the developers will develop games for the lower priced headsets...and you might find that it is compatible to the higher end headsets with better quality displays. (People will be able to access the same software with the Apple Vision Pro, but they will have much higher quality graphics and a more fluent gaming experience)  Wink
1277  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: June 09, 2023, 05:49:14 AM
In May there was no pre monthly , the monthly came on the 15th in the evening at GMT and the post monthly came in late evening GMT of the 23rd .

It would be reasonable to estimate the monthly date for middle of next week, Thursday would be the 15th.

Hope that helps.

You might forget that we get prepost-monthly on May 24 just try to check in your email with the keyword Post-Monthly you must find it
yes we haven't gotten Pre Monthly this month as a celebration of the success of Everton who survived in the Premier League
or maybe they didn't continue this collaboration? but on the official page of Everton there is still a stake.com logo.

He answered correctly already that there was no pre-monthly as it is the one asked by ryzaadit, but there was post-montly bonus.
There is a bit typo in your post as I corrected above, and he does not forget it as shown in bold part of his post.
Coming up to the sponsorship agreement between Stake and Everton, it can be read here: https://stake.com/sponsorships/everton
It is being stated that it is a multi-year deal but there is no specific how long the agreement will last.
I did search the meaning of multi-year in general and I find that it is an agreement that will be last for more than 12 months but no more than 5 years.

I think Stake.com would have included a clause in the contract, that if Everton gets relegated out of the league, then the contract between them gets terminated. It is obvious that you cannot pay a team, if they do not qualify to participate in an tournament, where you want to advertise your company.

It is a pitty that Stake.com are only sponsoring the lower ranked teams in the championship, but I guess having them sponsoring two teams in the lower ranking, gives them more exposure.. than sponsoring one higher ranked team.  Tongue

Also.... the Drake stream took a lot of money out of their pockets... and that might be why we will not see a pre-monthly.
1278  Economy / Economics / Re: To Hodl or Lend: What is your take? on: June 09, 2023, 05:33:27 AM
The problem with lending is this....

If there are a sudden spike in the price and you have borrowed your tokens to someone else, then those coins are inaccessible to you, until the loan are repaid.

Now, on the other hand.... if you hodl your coins, then it is accessible at all times and you can capitalize on all the short-term spikes that might happen on the way to the next ATH.  Cool
1279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Early coins movement ? on: June 09, 2023, 05:22:55 AM
This is the great thing about this technology.... right.

You can see when tokens are moved, but in most cases.. nobody knows who it is that are moving those coins. In the fiat system, only Banks and governments have access to that information, but in Bitcoin this is totally pseudo anonymous.

I think this is just an early miners that are shifting coins around in cold storage. He might get ready for a dump.... or he or she just wants to do some coin management.  Grin
1280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: European Sex Championship 😳, Will you Bet? on: June 08, 2023, 06:18:34 AM
Looking at the success of the Discovery channel series .."Naked & Afraid" and all the spinoff series from that, I guess this might also take off in the adult channels on TV.

The world has changed a lot, since the days where people were obsessed with censorship of nudity. People have been desensitized about nudity and it will just get worst as time goes by. Watching Miley Cyrus swinging naked from a wrecking ball would have been a huge taboo, back in the day.... but now it is normal.  Roll Eyes
