12664  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [185 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: April 25, 2014, 09:07:28 AM
It seems our pool hash rate has shot up by over 100TH in the last few hours, and it's still rising.  Yay us! Anyone know what happened? Did some smaller pool switch to using p2pool as their back end?

The luck chasers are here.

EDIT: Wow: Expected time to block: 19.5 hours
12665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BCN] Bytecoin (CPU-mining, true anonymity) on: April 25, 2014, 07:43:54 AM
Not me. My daily output is down by almost half. If I wanted to make it hard, you'd know.

Now if we both wanted to make it hard, that would be interesting Smiley

ninja launch with new algo

meh...

What are you even talking about?

1. Not a new algorithm (essentially the same as Bytecoin)

2. Not a ninja launch (was preannounced, was delayed to get Windows binaries ready, etc.)

later integrate GHOST if problems surrounding centralization arise.  It's not the end of the world.

GHOST does not address centralization, in fact it may make centralization worse. That said, having essentially instant transactions is at least a really important and relevant differentiator that might be worth a try, if we have the talent and resources on this team to implement it.

If not, then a new coin with instant transactions and privacy (and a good launch...) could be a real winner.

I say we wait and see what happens over the next week or two. I'm pretty sure you are right about shitcoin central, no matter what we do here.

I don't know what to tell you smooth.  Yes, the situation is not ideal, but tonight we're at 315k on the network.

The miners are speaking.

Bytecoin is at 1.7 million now. The miners are speaking but what are they saying exactly?

If you want to change your order, please PM me. Or just make a new post. If you just edit your post I don't get notified so I might not update the order book.

Whats up with minergate

I tried mining with them again, but I can't seem to withdraw. Is there any other problem going on?

Something is up

Pools suck. Old story.

Close your eyes and solo mine.

On a sidenote, BCN diff @ almost 1.7M.

Cut that out Noodle, you're making it hard for everyone.

"Error: wallet failed to connect to daemon (http://localhost:18081). Daemon either is not started or passed wrong port.
Please, make sure that daemon is running or restart the wallet with correct daemon address."

Still get this error.

The daemon is running,  synced with the network, and is according to its own log listening on its default port (log:  "Core rpc server initialized OK on port: 18081").

There's no local firewall, and I also started the daemon and wallet with a different port number just to make sure no one else uses this port.

A telnet to localhost on port 18081 works, so someone is listening.

The Windows build seems kinda buggy...

Once it is synced, type "save" in the daemon window, then try the wallet.

I think that is your total hash rate (all threads combined), but I'm not positive.

BTW, use "hide_hr" to turn off the display if you don't know that.
12677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MRO] Monero - a coin with strong privacy based on CryptoNote technology on: April 25, 2014, 03:51:08 AM
Getting 8.5 hash rate per thread (total 12 threads) is that good?

That sounds extremely high to me. What output do you get from show_hr?
12678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: *[BCN (Bytecoin)/BTC]* Google Spreadsheet Exchange on: April 25, 2014, 03:49:52 AM
WTB 10Million BCN. PM me for your best offer.

Please take a look at my trading thread. There are some offers on there, or if you like you can post a bid.

12679  Economy / Lending / Re: Loans offered on: April 25, 2014, 03:48:30 AM
Could use a .5-1 BTC loan.  Can offer a couple hundred paypal as collateral tops.  That's the only place I have money at the moment.

Have completed many loans before.

Would be highly appreciated, peace.

Declined.

I can't seem to be able to paste the address into the daemon to start mining.

Is there a way to do this without entering the address manually? :S

You can start the mining from the wallet without needing to type your address
