1281  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can we post link for any article? on: January 10, 2019, 01:18:04 PM
Just don't copy-paste some words from the article, put the link of original content and then ask "What do you think about this?"
That's a low quality post and I doubt any reputable member would respond to a thread like that.

You might want to read about forum rules in general and see how you should start a thread.
1282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] FIX TOKEN : FIX Stable Investmen,Payment Processor on: January 10, 2019, 08:49:22 AM
-FIX DEBIT CARD provides easy transaction for each member, this card stage besides functioning as an ATM can also be used to shop at various merchants.

Are you a team member or?
How valid is this debit card? Afaik in Indonesia cryptocurrency is not allowed to be used as a medium of payments.
1283  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Looking for a free listing on: January 10, 2019, 08:45:58 AM
Try Amsterdex. They just launched recently and from what I've read they don't require listing fees, but they will only list "good coins" according to their standard. Banzai is the one who own that exchange, he's not really active all the time but you can contact him if you wanted to (@BanzaiBTC).
1284  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fundamental or technical, which one you do used? on: January 10, 2019, 08:38:44 AM
If you can do both, then do it. If you prefer to trade in mid-long-term then fundamental or swing trading might be your choice. If market is bad technical analysis can miss a lot of times, so in bear market you better stick with fundamentals. Anyway, just try it and see which one suits you better most of the times.

I don't have problems with your choice atm but keep in mind that sometimes TA can go horribly wrong and can't predict sudden drop/dump by someone (like what happens today, -6% drops on Bitcoin followed by alts).
1285  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Why Cobo Tablet only allows to store 4 letters of each words? on: January 10, 2019, 08:12:00 AM
According to this article https://www.blockplate.com/pages/first-4-letters-of-a-bip39-mnemonic-seed-phrase

Quote
BIP 39 is the use of a mnemonic phrase -- a group of easy to remember words -- to serve as your back up recovery in the event your wallet becomes compromised.
These words are pulled from a specific list of 2048 words.  In this list, the first 4 letters are unique to each word. That means if you have the first 4 letters, you know the rest of the word. Some wallets will even fill in the rest of the word once the first 4 letters are entered.

Hope this helps.

Won't this decrease the security of the wallets? It seems like as long as you fill the 4 words then you can 'hack' any wallet.
1286  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Does a Legal Adviser make an ICO more "legal" and free from scams? on: January 10, 2019, 07:50:22 AM
How can you check on their reputation?

If you have time to do a deep research, try to email the company where they (claimed) work in the past. I've found several fake team profiles doing this. But it really depends on how the company responds your email. Sometimes it takes days for them to respond your email. You can also try to cross-check their reputation by doing simple search on Google, such as search their name and see whether there are media or social media profiles that mentions them. Best of luck.
1287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STO, is the future. This guide explains step by step how to launch an STO. on: January 10, 2019, 07:42:41 AM
At this point everything is just speculation. As long as it can protect people from losing money (unless it's their own stupidity which cause that to happens) then it's worth to wait imo. No need to be overly confident, or skeptical, if we don't have enough information on this matter. Regulations about STO, even ICO is in fact still not clear, IMO.
1288  Economy / Services / Re: ANN HERO on: January 10, 2019, 07:19:59 AM
Hi to all.
We are looking for a Hero for making a Brand New Thread for the our project.
Pls text me.
Thanks in advance

Are you requesting them to make your thread or post your thread to increase your reputation? If you want to do the latter, no need. 'Faking' your reputation by using high-ranked member to post your thread is considered suspicious by some people. Just use your regular account, and maybe upgrade to Copper Member if you wanted to post image.
1289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon Says Global Recession Not Coming: Effect On Bitcoin? on: January 10, 2019, 06:48:05 AM
Damn I still don't understand why people are like this ,why the hate in public and buying privately? Is this some kind of manipulation? No matter what you haters do I'm sticking with bitcoin for a very long time

That's the rule dude. If you told people what you're buying then you won't get maximum profits. Same thing happened again and again, when will we learn? There's no need to listen JP Morgan, just learn economics and decide whether recession is coming or not.

Without sound money, it's impossible to keep system running continously.
1290  Economy / Speculation / Re: Future BTC's price on: January 09, 2019, 01:02:45 PM
If BTC mining is still profitable, how much could be 1 BTC cost?

Nobody knows, and this question should not be in this board. Why is it important to know anyway? I'd say probably around $1 million or so. Don't believe me? That's fine, it does not matter anyway.
1291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recently, developers are increasingly refusing to fulfill their promises. on: January 09, 2019, 12:55:45 PM
Yes you are right. You accurately described the realities of our time. Why is this so? Because there are no levers of influence on projects. If teams follow the “word = action” rule, then things will change for the better.

Even the most reputable dev that I know sometimes keeps missing deadlines due to something out of their hand, but they're definitely different from those "developers" who want to get a lot of money and then disappear.

While missing deadline sucks, sometimes they're unavoidable. Rather than releasing their software with a lot of bugs, I think it's better if they can make sure everything works properly. But this is no excuse to keep pending your launch date or reaching milestone like that.

One way to prevent developers slacking is to make sure that funding comes after milestone achievement, like what Pledgecamp aim to do.
1292  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling Project Making $100/mo on: January 09, 2019, 12:37:53 PM
Be careful when dealing with people here. I'd recommend anyone to use a reputable escrow to do this transaction. Better safe than sorry.
1293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs 2.0 enough to regain trust from investors? on: January 09, 2019, 12:31:41 PM
It's quite hard to tell, but probably no unless they give good transparency, team, proper token utilities and so on. The hype of ICO is gone, and it's good because there won't be that many scammy projects out there. While it is not a guarantee, the next wave of ICO should be better because regulations will take part to prevent scammer make their own ICO and then exit scam after that.
1294  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Proof of Accumulated Stakes: A Stake-Based Blockchain Voting Consensus Protocol on: January 09, 2019, 11:22:06 AM
What does this has to do with Bitcoin? CMIIW should Development & Technical discussion made for Bitcoin-related development only? What I get from OP is that he want to fix PoS, so this should be in Altcoins imo.
1295  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What did you buy with your Bitcoin as Plan B for the future? on: January 09, 2019, 11:15:30 AM
I didn't really do anything with the bitcoins I sold. ( I sold around the range of 14k-17k )

For now I'm just sitting on the money I've gotten so I don't really know if I should buy more bitcoin or just spread my money in other sources or even just keep the money for now like I've been doing.

If I were you I'd diversify my portfolio. Try to find a source for passive income which can guarantee you a stable income for years. It will be a great strategy especially if bear market comes again. I'm a bit unfortunate because I don't have that many bitcoins and asset so it's hard to invest and diversify my portfolio.
1296  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is a new ATH for BTC even posible? on: January 09, 2019, 05:04:49 AM
Come on, do we even have to ask this question? There is no cryto as strong as Bitcoin at this moment. Even ETH or XRP has a lot of drawbacks and for sure I prefer to hold more Bitcoin than the 2nd or 3rd top crypto according to CMC. Most people know about Bitcoin, and there are a lot of institutional interest on Bitcoin (albeit ironic). New ATH is definitely possible, just like what happens in the past after bear take over.
1297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IBM Unveils World's First Quantum Computer for Commercial Use on: January 09, 2019, 04:56:07 AM
Quantum computing and its effect on cryptocurrency security has been discussed many times. There's no need to panic as most developer already realize this. In fact, they've several solutions like changing signature and so on. The solution to always use address for one time is also great. No need to worry, solutions will come pretty soon if this quantum computer really becomes a problem.
1298  Economy / Economics / Re: Five Reasons why Gold, Silver and Decentralized Cryptocurrencies will outperform on: January 09, 2019, 04:32:15 AM
"1. Assets that are decentralized will outperform in any economic system that is controlled by a Central Government."

That guy is overly generalizing and not yet proven by reality. We still have a long way to go and there is a lot of obstacles for Bitcoin & crypto to be a mainstream currency.

that are being advertised (and have fooled many) as decentralized and they have no future either let alone be able to outperform anything in the long run. many of them shone in 2017 and ran out of pumping fuel by the end of the year. in 2019 they will be wiped from the face of the world.

Very true (XRP and EOS?). I believe more than 50% cryptocurrencies will be wiped out in 2019, only the strong one will survive.
1299  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which is the best way to convert ltc to btc? on: January 08, 2019, 01:41:02 PM
Here is an answer from yourself:

The best exchange to sell Litecoin is Coinswitch exchange.

Nice way to shill man, wrong section and literally low quality topic.

1300  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Can a Blockchain Technology help Eradicate Death caused by Cancer in the future? on: January 08, 2019, 12:26:28 PM
This tech is unnecessary. You don't need to use blockchain for this purpose and certainly there is no need for tokens to make the system works. It kinda sounds like what some ICOs did, the only different thing is that those ICOs aims to reward participants for sharing their data. But the risk of data being 'stolen' is higher than the benefits from it. And there is certainly no need to use blockchain for this, just use IPFS.
