It's dead...no one wants to do anything with it except trade up to BTC.  If someone builds a market and sells goods for moon then you'll see a come back, but as long as people are just mining to dump for BTC then bye bye Moon.

People buy stuff with BTC because others sell stuff for BTC.  Just about all the alt coins coming out are purely for trade up because no one is building a marketplace for them.

You could just look here:
http://www.reddit.com/r/MoonCoin/comments/1z71n3/anyone_want_to_sell_me_something_for_600k_moon/

... and could do the same, if you want to have a market. Nothing prevents you from using MOON to buy something, but yourself.

Keep calm.
The coin is dead if you make it so. So why are you telling your friends the coin is dead? I don't get that.
The biggest problem at the moment is multipool. It keeps a horde of anonymous miners mining that coin and immediately dumping it at cryptsy and co. afterwards.

So there is not even a chance to climb up slowly at the moment, if even the community (which is made of people - like YOU) is talking the coin down again and again. If you don't believe in the coin you should simply sell it and call it a day.
1283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MOON] Mooncoin: You know where it's headed! NEW SOURCE RELEASED 2/16/2014! on: March 01, 2014, 05:19:44 PM
Now 4 stoshi is at SELL now. Steadly its order amount is increasing,

When I told that the price must be between 3 and 2
Seems that I am not wrong and prices going there STEADLY.

3 may be expensive but 2 may be cheap So buying with LTC prices like between 2 and 3 will be more likely to me.

THOSE PEOPLE that top of this page did not even understand me MAY BE THEY think coin will hit MOON.

Prices are always CORRECT.

Buying between 2-3 seeling at A SOMETIME may be in near 12 months at 5 or 6 for me is GOOD profit. No  bank gives a good interest in this world.

Good luck..

ALL high buyers will need it.

Sorry, what exactly are you trying to say?
That cryptocurrencies are highly volatile? Well, that is not new to anyone here, hopefully.
On coinex.pw MOON is still at 4. Doesn't mean it stays there forever. But even if it falls to 1 or lower, it can rise again. Don't see why that should be months away. Remember, MOON was considered dead once before and it climbed up to 30 in no time.
BTW: You did not elaborate on the backgrounds of your calculation-algorithm. Could you do that first, please?
1284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MOON] Mooncoin: You know where it's headed! NEW SOURCE RELEASED 2/16/2014! on: March 01, 2014, 05:07:25 PM
can't even mine it because the best pool on the list only has 0.7% of the nethash and gets orphans all day.
mine&dump status aquired.
Go mine on a P2Pool. No problem here on my local P2Pool. The network just found three blocks with high rewards today. So I can't complain. But look for one with a good efficiency (+90%). All P2Pools work in common, so if one finds a block, all miners on any of the single pools get paid out. Even if you are the only miner on that pool. Just sayin'.
BTW: Every pool has orphans. If you're getting too many orphans yourself or have a high stale rate/many rejections, then something is wrong on your miner-configuration.

If you consider joining the P2Pool-movement, here is more information:

Hey deaconboogie,
what about a prize draw (or competition) that is coupled to the phase of the moon? So there will be prizes in Mooncoin to be won every full moon and/or new moon or so? Just an idea which could raise interest in "the MOON" Wink for newbies ...
1286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MOON] Mooncoin: You know where it's headed! NEW SOURCE RELEASED 2/16/2014! on: February 28, 2014, 02:42:57 PM
Go look any pool at standart hash power of 1000 kHS digs for how much amount Moons ?
What do you mean exactly? Or, to put it differently, one pool has bad luck and needs several days, the other one finds block after block in a couple of hours. So which one should we base the calculation on?

Quote
Then come here at mulyiply by 4  Kiss
Please give us more information on that algorithm.

Quote
Then multiply by 5000 (Average NET hash) so you may learn how much BTC must at 4 stoshi NOT to drop below 4 FOR EVERY day.
Where do you get the average hashrate from? Or how and when did you calculate it?

What about (rising) demand? Is your calculation static? Or do you assume there will be the same or falling demand for weeks? But in the latter case there is the possibility that the coin even falls further than your predicted 2-3 Satoshi.
What if some miners go away and the hashrate drops significantly, in effect letting the (new) coin supply run short? What if several holders decide to pull their coins away from the exchanges? What if a (edit: BIG) investor enters the boat and pushes the coin again, like it happened before?

To my calculations ...
Which "calculations"?
1288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MOON] Mooncoin: You know where it's headed! NEW SOURCE RELEASED 2/16/2014! on: February 27, 2014, 02:42:21 PM
I do like the coin though Undecided

That exactly is the capital of this coin. It only needs a little time.
The grief and hate that was expressed earlier in this thread was of some greedy coin-hopping-miners, who overreacted because of technical difficulties at the beginning of the mining-phase. Maybe there were some "haters", too, who tried to pull the coin down for their own purposes (get cheap coins? protect other currencies?) ... But there are others as well. And they still support this coin. And even if it is now being mined again regularly on the huge multipools with massive hashing-power after implementing Kimoto Gravity Well, it performs not bad - keeping in mind, that many (if not nearly all) of the multipool-miners sell their coins automatically via auto-sell feature after they receive them. Looking at this it amazes, that the coins value is not falling further now. There seems to be substance, despite the massive sell walls. This coin surely has potential.
Please remember: the first massive price-rise went up to 30 Satoshi - from next to nothing in value before (some Litoshis) and now it remains at 4/5 Sat., which is definitely a good performance so far. It can - and will - happen again. Maybe some of those who bought at 30 are now disappointed after the coins value fell again. But that is perfectly normal. Nothing rises forever and even Mooncoin has to take a breather every now and then ...  Wink

May I remind everybody of the voting on mintpal.com to support MOON further?

There needs to be at least 300 btc worth of buy orders to push moon back to 15 satoshis. I find that absolutely ridiculous. Too many people trying to sell the coin and not enough buyers. I really think the rumours that this coin had a virus-wallet ruined it's reputation completely.

If an investor starts a pump, there is needed less, to get it going and let the people take it up. For a classic investor 50.000,- to 100.000,- USD (50,000 to 100,000 in US-speak) is not that much, btw.

Edit:
Regarding the wallet-virus-thing: that will be forgotten in a few weeks. The problem - as I perceived it - was a scammer that claimed his own malware as the official wallet in one of the early posts of this thread, when the official one was not yet available. I am really sorry for those who downloaded it and suffered a damage.

I will try to buy at 2 and sell at 4.

Maybe you'll never get the chance to buy them at 2.
So --> 0% profit.  Grin  Grin  Cheesy

I recently found a block on "moon.hasher.ca" but was wondering what is up with "Moon.NotNull.org" as I have lots of shares over there but it's impossible to connect to that pool.

This is - or at least can be - the problem with those login-pools. You depend on the trustworthiness of the pool-owners.

Unlike p2pools at least you get your shares paid whenever they find a new block in the future. But if you can't mine on notnull how could I get my shares??

The MPOS-pools most of the times also run a PPLNS-based ( http://pool-x.eu/aboutpplns ) system, which pays out for the last contributed N-shares. Just like P2Pool. The number of paid shares grows over a certain time-frame (12-24 hrs?) and decrease likewise after stopping mining, but they are not discarded completely. If I understood P2Pool-/PPLNS-payout-logic correctly, you always can interrupt mining and get later in again without losing ALL of your gathered "status", entitling you to get the share of the reward according to your hash-rate, if a block is found. This means you build up a certain status over a given timeframe to the full amount of your hashrate and if you stop mining this claim degrades with the same rate over time. But you can always get into it again, restart mining after a pause (which should not exceed the timeframe, of course), rebuilding the claim to full extent and again immediately get the relevant share every time a block is found. Correct me, if I'm wrong.
So it means, at the end you have no worse situation than on MPOS-pools, plus you don't have to rely on pool-operators, as the reward-share goes directly to your wallet-address, instead of into the pools database first.

where all the hash at? i cant find any pool over 100 mh/s

They are spread on several pools. Which actually is a good thing.
Better than one big pool. This is the exact reason why I still recommend mining on P2Pool.

Come on people. I have seen the hashrate in P2Pool raising after my last post here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=389403.msg5335321#msg5335321. But most of you left again before it even started to get interesting and right before the next block was found. You really have to be patient if mining on P2Pool-system. If you get out before the pool found a block (sometimes two) you won't get a payout (which means your by now invested hashing power is gone for nothing).
If you look at the expected time to block/payout listed at the P2Pool-sites they are only estimates. Could be double the time, could be a quarter of it. Anyway, you'll get paid your fair share of the block reward (relative to the hashing-power/contributed shares) at the moment, when one on the members of the pool finds a block (but remember you must be mining in that very moment under the wallet-address).
Granted, the last hours payout was a little low, since the luck for finding blocks AND the block reward for the found blocks was low. But there will be better times and it all equals out in the long run. You will get the same or better results as on the MPOS-pools, since they all rely on the same mooncoind (the daemon that connects the single pools with each other).

Help decentralise the hashing power. Start P2Pool-mining today.

I cant find a busy pool can anyone point me into the right direction

I would recommend P2Pool. It lasts a little longer to get the first payouts, but when it starts, it flows steadily.

Advantage: You don't have to sign up on those pools. Just use your wallet-address as username, x (or anything else) as a password and start mining.
Your shares are counted on every node of the network, so no matter which P2Pool you are using, as long as you are mining when a block is found, you get the payout according to your submitted shares immediately to your wallet-address. You even can change the P2Pools without losing a single share, because all that is used for accounting in the whole P2Pool-network is your wallet-address.
But remember: You have to mine constantly on the network (which is the same as any other PPLNS-pool) to really get good results. So this is nothing for pool-hoppers, but for loyal miners of a coin. In the end the resulting payout is - or at least should be - higher than on other (nonP2)pools, if you use P2Pool-nodes with a good efficieny (at least 90%, which you can always check out in the pool stats).
Also keep in mind that Mooncoin reward-sums are paid randomly, so for one found block you (respectively the P2Pool as a whole) could expect 1000 MOON, for other 2.000.000 (2,000,000 in English speaking). It equals out over time, so the average amount after mining some time should get nearer and nearer to ~1.000.000. What I want to say is: don't be disappointed, if the first one or two payouts are low. It will change, so you could also get real high payouts when a block with high reward is found.

I have been mining on a P2Pool-node since the last days with 10 MH and got very good results for Mooncoin.

BTW: The best thing of using P2Pool is the decentralising of mining-power. So the danger of 51%-attack of single pools will be fought.

Just try it. You won't be disappointed. But let your hashing-power run at least 24 hrs - better 48 hrs, to see the first (good) results. You will only get paid when a block is found and your payout-share grows over time until it reaches the value according to your hashrate, so be patient. We will find more blocks, if more hashing-power is distributed into P2Pool, so the variance will decrease.

Futher info can be found here:
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/P2Pool (it is explained for Bitcoin, but the funcionality for Mooncoin is just the same)
http://whatisp2pool.com/ (for Dogecoin, but applies to MOON also)
http://doges.org/index.php?topic=5586.0 (if you'd like to setup an own P2Pool-server locally for your farm - but you have to adapt it for Mooncoin (use the p2pool-code below, it works the same as the one in the instructions of the DOGE-link))
https://github.com/Rav3nPL/p2pool-rav (this one has Mooncoin-support already included)
