Ian Coleman’s page says you should use m/44'/60'/0'/0 for bip32/ledger.
If you have your metamask and wallet, you may play with another seed and his page to see which path produces the correct results.
As for number of addresses to generate- no idea, but usually the first one is used. Maybe in your case it was different, but then you would know it, no?

6 lucky winners had under 1000 tickets! Smiley That is what I call luck!

But there are also people with 200k+ tickets... Won? Bought? No idea.

It's not gambling if you know you will win! And we don't know in which hands the Oscar is going, so we gamble! And as always, some will win, many will lose, it is important that it is interesting while it lasts! Generally, I never had some big luck with betting on Oscars, my taste is so different, so this year I have a help with my picks from others, as I said!

D. Washington has 2 Oscars, Will Smith none. Maybe it will be a lucky day for him. But I will bet on Benedict, just because I like him as a Sherlock.
1283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: BTCrecover seed recovery with custom token list on: March 14, 2022, 12:06:57 PM

1. The first thing is that I want to want to use a list with 12 words, but the first two words and positions are known.

python seedrecover.py --no-dupchecks --mnemonic-length 12 --language EN --dsw --wallet-type ethereum --addr-limit 1 --addrs 0xMyAddress --tokenlist ./docs/Usage_Examples/2020-05-02_Descrambling_a_12_word_seed/randomcombination_bip39.txt --bip32-path "m/44'/60'/0'/0"

Of course you replaced part "./docs/Usage_...." with path to your token list?

Are you able to reproduce example from page: https://btcrecover.readthedocs.io/en/latest/Usage_Examples/2020-05-02_Descrambling_a_12_word_seed/Example_Descrambling_a_12_word_seed/#ethereum-address-default-derivation-path-for-trezor-mew ?

By the way: if you enter your seed on the page: https://iancoleman.io/bip39/ and select coin ETHEREUM, does it display your expected address?

As much as possible, if you will bet like for example in Best Picture, at least watch those films nominated for that particular category. At least you have idea on how these films were made and also have your own opinion regarding the films. Because if you will bet blindly, that's like letting your full luck to be in play here. Watching these films at least give you an idea about their possible performance as compared to other films. As of now, the favorite of most bettors on this category is The Power of the Dog film. So why do you think most people chose this film for this category?

Even if you have watched all the movies yourself, it is still quite difficult to place bets as the Academy can think in a completely different way. It is not because you really like the movie, that they will win the oscar and sometimes there are some surprising winners also.

Exactly. At the end it is not an open voting - only preselected group of people vote. Sometimes the most popular movie wins, that's true - but that's not the rule.
I would vote for actor/movie etc. I like, not trying to anticipate the opinion of jury.
1285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: NEED HELP WITH 2010 WALLET.DAT FILE on: March 14, 2022, 09:40:57 AM
Do you know what you are looking for? You should look for hex values "0420" and "308201130201010420".

I would recommend to use one of existing tools, like https://github.com/pierce403/keyhunter

And the most likely you will not be able to extract your private key if wallet was encrypted with password.
1286  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Cancel unconfirmed transaction - did i do it properly? on: March 13, 2022, 07:47:11 PM
Can someone confirm and show me a screenshots or a guide?

Your help is much appreciated.  Thanks in advance!
Without knowing which wallet you used, no one can confirm if you did it right.

We are in 'Electrum' subsection, so I guess it was Electrum  Wink

I assume that OP changed output address and increased fee - that way slow, pending transaction has been replaced by a new one and coins instead of going to address X, went to one of his own addresses.

Jean_Luc made his last post on October 11, 2020, and he was last active July 28, 2021 (more than 6 months ago). His last commits on github were also a year ago (February 2021)

Is everything ok with TC? (Jean_Luc)

I think he is just not interested anymore, as #120 seems to be unsolvable in reasonable time with the current software & hardware.
I do not know, maybe there were other tensions, maybe some users wanted to use him as a free source of tools to crack bitcoin. No idea, but reading his topics I see there were many demanding ignorant.
Or maybe he is still here, using other account. Who knows.
1288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best casinos that gives dividends to token holders? on: March 13, 2022, 07:35:31 PM
it is FUN token that i have getting dividends since years ago I have been in Freebitco.in for years and i may also believe in what most says above that this is the most dividend provider compared to other gambling sites .

I think they made it very well. First they build a good brand - it took years, but people really trust them. As I see, half of FUN strength comes from trust in team, they reputation. Other half - the rest - roadmap, planned features etc.
But I really appreciate that token was launched by a mature team, not just at start-up with bunch of ideas and nothing more.

Another thing is how much tokens you get if you lock them: the range is from 15 days - 5% to 360 days - 25%.

I have concern on the certain percentage that you provide? Is that 15% interest rate is an APY for a 15 days token locking right? Its still good since FUN token received bonuses in the Casino. I will surely check this out.

Yes, of course.
1000 tokens locked for 15 days gives 2 extra (5%), for 90 days it gives 36 extra (15%), for 180 days it gives 98 extra (+20%) etc.

1291  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: March 11, 2022, 10:01:09 AM
Ideally we are gaining more in these WOF rather than in the APY. Obviously if the prices get hiked in terms of fiat then we are gonna have more than enough in the profits. Just hope that prices will bump back at the time of taking out FUN from hodle.

In your opinion, what would be the "fair" price for FUN? I bought mine for 22sat, so now I have doubts if I consider buying some more for 28sat. But I know some people bought it for 40sat.
So, you say that now FUN is "cheap"?
1292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best casinos that gives dividends to token holders? on: March 11, 2022, 09:57:47 AM
If you may, can you complete your investment details by providing detailed profit calculations of your investment aside from the premium membership privilege? I know FUN token but I have a very limited knowledge about since the details can’t be seen without creating an account and login it. There’s a good token like BFG of Betfury that gives daily cashback and interest when you stake on the mining pool. What is the advantage of investing in FUN token to BFG and also how much profit you already have so far for your. 0.01BTC investment?

A lot depends on price in relation to BTC. I bought mine FUNs when the price was 22sat, now it is 28sat. I know some people in the past bought it for 40sat. So, the relation to BTC is one thing.
Another thing is how much tokens you get if you lock them: the range is from 15 days - 5% to 360 days - 25%.
And another thing are benefits you get just from holding FUN (locked or not) - you receive additional free Wheel of Fortune spins (which also could give you BTC), and what is also interesting - increase in interest rate on BTC holding. Base interest rate is 4.18% (which is still not bad for BTC), but if you for example hold 500000 tokens for 180 days it will make the rate increase to 5%. Of course with smaller amounts of FUN and/or shorter periods you receive smaller increase.
So, even if you do not gain just on FUN token price, you gain on:
1) % from locking
2) increased % for BTC
3) freebitco bonuses (like extra spins, no-captcha, etc)

I will seal the algorithm and the private key from the 49 BTC address in a text file and auction it at rarible on January 28. I will set a minimum. I don't want to own this knowledge. I hope it will fall into good hands. If you don't realize the responsibility please don't bid! The proceeds will go to the most commonplace wildlife fund. I really hope you don't rob it. We've already done too much damage to our planet! I'm unplugging and going to my wife's. I don't know when I'll be back.

Wow!
I am impressed by someone's creativity. A heartbreaking story...

Torrents works well now, download is fast.
I still don't get it: my own test (from another Seedbox) hasn't downloaded anything after an hour.

For me it works instantly.

Is is normal that only one tracker returns 'success' and peers data?
That's probably not good, but I'm not sure how to change to fix it.
I (arbitrarily) selected those trackers:
Code:
udp://tracker.opentrackr.org:1337/announce
udp://denis.stalker.h3q.com:6969/announce
udp://opentracker.i2p.rocks:6969/announce
udp://tracker.internetwarriors.net:1337/announce
udp://tracker.coppersurfer.tk:6969/announce
And indeed, only the first one seems to recognize the torrent.

I've finalized my update, and after 10 months, I'm happy to announce This project is back online!

New! Torrents!
inputs.torrent
outputs.torrent
transactions.torrent
For privacy, you may want to consider using a VPN so other users can't see your IP address.

This allows me to grow it bigger and then make a bigger return, specially that interest rate is the one that I care about so much. The max is 5% if I am not wrong right? Maybe I calculated it wrong but 5% on BTC is insanely good return.

So basically you need to keep 500000FUN for 180days to have +22.5% rate, which gives 5% (using 4.18% as a base rate).
The question is if
Code:
5% * (base BTC) > 4% * (base BTC + affiliate income)
1297  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Hardware wallet vs software wallet for daily transaction on: March 10, 2022, 01:46:28 PM
The question is if you may do all that from home (using computer/laptop) or if it must be mobile (smartphone - app or amartphone+HW).

If you think about world where FIAT is completely replaced by BTC, there you will have different kinds of transfer needed.
First of all, I do not understand why not to split your BTC into several wallets/devices.
You may pay for your electricity/gas etc., some serious payments, using hardware wallet and computer.
If you go to shop, you may use prepaid card, like one from Binance. Or use app on mobile phone - depends on the recipient's capabilities.
The question if you may plug your HW into smartphone is a secondary problem.

@PawGo, does this mean that the owner has decided to introduce this feature on their site? Since you know what this is about, how can an ordinary user block such things?

Yes, it is managed by site owner/developer.

I am not sure if you may disable it on browser level (maybe some browsers has that feature, I do not know), but after you reject it, it should not appear anymore. But if you use private mode or clear browsing data, maybe it will be proposed again.

It will reappear after 2-3 days, and even if you accept it , and use the app (it works like a shortcut), it will ask you again and again.

Yesterday I made some updates from Google Play related to Google services, and that pop-up immediately disappeared - so for all those who are irritated by the same thing, there is a solution.

Interesting.
Could you tell us if you checked Release Notes, did Google mention anything about it?
Or maybe it was one of 'bugfix' patches and now they check if shortcut already exists.
Which browser do you use? If you with a completely new, unused browser, does pop-up appear? I wonder if it is matter of browser or system.
1299  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: March 10, 2022, 10:34:00 AM
freebitco.in is still cheaper than many exchanges and casinos when withdrawing coins, however they are not responsible for this. It is just blockchains are inefficient systems for making small trades. Eventually the prices get higher, the fees get higher too. If bitcoin is too expensive for you use something else (like FUN?) or use another casino because it is not going to get any better for bitcoin.

I was rather thinking about buying at Binance and transfer to freebitco. On the other hand, BTC withdrawal fee is 0.0005, which means they take 50000 sat, which gives 1785FUN (at the price 28sat). So you are right, direct operation on FUN is more expensive.
1300  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is the price of BTC dropping? on: March 10, 2022, 09:34:07 AM
The answer is: no-one knows.
Or in other words: there is no one single reason. You may easily explain why price of oil goes up or down, or why price of shares of company X goes down or up. BTC is closer to FOREX trading - and there sometimes miracles happens.

On the other hand - sometimes it is hard to separate reality from wishful thinking. Maybe $40k is the 'correct' price for a long-term? I do not know.
People like to say "I told you" when they see they were right, but not many people says "I was wrong".
Talking about Edelman, we may see his predictions for 2021:

and for 2022:

As you see, there is nothing which would require a crystal ball or 30 years of experience...
