Juventus - Sporting is going to be a quite close matchup in my opinion. I don't see a big difference especially after Sporting eliminated the biggest favourite of the tournament which was Arsenal in last round.

This is making Sporting a pretty dangerous team actually. Arsenal were one of the best attacking teams in the Europa League. But Sporting still somehow resisted them in Emirates also and made it to this round by penalties. Juventus are going to be a more different opponent for them though. Juventus would play more cautious against Sporting which can make things more interesting in this matchup. It feels like Juventus can get a good result in Turin in the first leg. In that case Sporting's job would be quite difficult home.

I still see the only team that might be able to catch up with PSG and enter this title competition seriously as Marseille.

Because they are a bigger team than Lens and have a better squad also. This should make difference for them as long as they don't lose their concentration. Because their recent form hasn't been that much impressive. They lost 7 points in their last 5 matches in the league. They could have won against Montpellier and Strasbourg both if they played a little better. This would be enough to carry them right behind PSG. But considering that PSG are an unbalanced team I still give Marseille a chance to catch up for now.

The current Coppa Italia match going on between Juventus and Inter reminds me of their latest head-to-head which was in the Serie A.

In that match also Inter seemed superior to their opponent in terms of the statistics of the match. However Juventus were still the team reaching the victory at the end. Now in this match both teams have the same number of goal attempts though but Inter are superior in ball possession. But just as it was in the previous match it doesn't matter if you have the most ball possession. You need to play smarter than your opponent. Considering Inter's recent form also I think Juventus can get an advantageous result in the first leg.

Tuchel gerçekten gelmesiyle birlikte önemli bir etki yarattı gibi gözüküyor. Bayern Münih'in Bundesliga performansı bu sezon biraz sıkıntılı geçiyordu ve zaten bu sayede diğer takımlar kendilerine uzun bir süre bu kadar yakın seyredebildi. Fakat Tuchel daha ilk maçında Dortmund'a karşı çok kritik bir mücadele içerisine girmesine rağmen harika bir iş çıkardı.

Bu galibiyet belki de şampiyonluğun habercisi olabilir. Aynı şekilde Şampiyonlar Ligi'nde de iyi bir iş çıkarmalarını bekliyorum.

Nagelsmann and Pochettino have been the biggest candidates for the job at Chelsea. Nagelsmann seems to be closer to the job for now though.

Because Chelsea board must have been impressed with his work so far. Maybe Bayern Munich parted ways with him but he wasn't a bad manager actually. They were doing great in the Champions League and they were still in the title race in the Bundesliga also. Maybe it was due to higher expectations from him there. Pochettino knows the English Premier League much better of course. But I don't know if Chelsea would like to try him instead. Pochettino couldn't achieve much of a success with Tottenham.

Considering Freiburg and Leipzig's condition in the league recently I see there is a big opportunity for Union Berlin to consolidate the third position in the standings.

However it is all about consistency of course. There are only eight weeks left for the end of the season now. Freiburg and Leipzig both have been in a pretty bad shape in the recent times. They have lost so many points. None of them is a part of a European tournament also. Therefore we can see them fighting equal now. Leipzig were the winner of this rivalry last season as you remember. This time Freiburg are trying to keep them out of top four to be able to make it to the Champions League. But it feels like Leipzig will be the winner again.

I really liked to watch Lens against Rennes in that match. It was technically a really tough match for Lens there. I was even thinking about a loss for them at the end.

But their performance in especially the first half was really incredible. Mandanda prevented important chances by Lens for a while but he couldn't do anything against Openda's header later on. Openda is one of the impressive striker of the season at the same time. He isn't far away from the top scorer of the season. Anyway Rennes also had a big chance to equalize the score but it was well-defended and the ball hit the post after. This has carried Lens just over Marseille in the standings maybe but they still have the same points.

Maybe Real Madrid don't have a chance for the title anymore if we look at it from a sensible aspect. However there is a chance for Atletico Madrid to catch up with Real Madrid instead.

Because the gap between these teams is only five points now which can be closed truthfully. But this week it doesn't seem like the gap would be less than that. Because Real Madrid have a very comfortable match ahead. They are playing home against Valladolid which is one of the easiest fixtures for them. Especially after losing in the El Clasico the last time I just expect Real Madrid to destroy their opponent to boost their morale. On the other hand Atletico Madrid's job is more difficult against Betis. But if they show a similar performance to the recent weeks then they should be winning still.

Harry Kane is still Manchester United's priority in the summer transfer window seemingly. But Manchester United won't be the only team interested in him also.

Bayern Munich will also be an interested team most probably. They have been the team to have been speculated with his name the most for a long time actually. Bayern Munich said that they weren't interested back then. Because they weren't thinking of making such a big signing in the middle of the season. But in the summer things can be more different. I don't think they will continue with only Choupo-Moting. I think it is visible that they are much better when they have a striker like Lewandowski.

No matter Tuchel or Nagelsmann is Bayern Munich's manager, Dortmund would still be the disadvantageous side against Bayern Munich in the der Klassiker ahead of us. It has always been the same for many years also.

I mean Dortmund still can't figure out a solution for Bayern Munich's game plan. We have mostly seen the matches between them ending up with Bayern Munich's victory. Sometimes they got draws too. Their latest match in Signal Iduna Park also ended by 2-2. In Alllianz Arena Bayern Munich are going to be even closer to the win. They have made a change in their manager position indeed. But the person who they have brought to the team is Tuchel who is very familiar with this environment. I think we will watch Bayern Munich showing a good performance and they will win.

When it comes to the Napoli - Milan draw I'm of course seeing Napoli as a big favourite just as most people do.

Because everything must be clear already about these two teams. Napoli are a really dominator team this season. They are not only dominating the Serie A but also they have been on an incredible run in the Champions League also. But Milan aren't even near their level in terms of many ways. They are lacking at defending and scoring multiple goals both. When they have defensive problems they can't compensate for it by improving their finishing skills mostly. It is too hard to trust Milan in this draw as a result.

Newcastle and Manchester United are also going to play against each other on this match week. It might seem quite interesting to some people also that Newcastle are the favourite side for the win according to the odds. Newcastle's winning odd is even decreasing slowly in time currently which is even more interesting. There is a reason for I see it interesting of course.

Because Manchester United played against them recently in the EFL Cup finale as you know and they won the match nicely by a solid performance also. Considering those performances I wouldn't have seen it surprising to see Manchester United being the favourite instead in this match. However playing an away match adds an extra difficulty for them of course. Besides I remember their last head-to-head in the league which was in Old Trafford ended up by a draw. Therefore I might prefer to bet on both teams to score instead of Manchester United win.

Of course every person has their own ideas but I think PSG will part ways with Galtier at the end of the season.

I don't think they will see this result as successful enough to keep him even if they win the Ligue 1 title. Because they have already been dominating the Ligue 1 for so many years thanks to the huge gap with the other teams in the league. Therefore he wouldn't make difference with winning the same title once again. He was expected to win the Champions League title with this team but he failed. I don't think the players are also contented with the current management of the team. Galtier's end might be similar to Nagelsmann's recently.

Lewandowski has been having some scoring problems for a couple of weeks in the La Liga. He hasn't scored three weeks in a row I mean.

The season has ended early for Barcelona in the league actually. Maybe this is the reason why he is complacent but I still don't want to believe such thing of course. Lewandowski is a player who would score so many goals no matter what. At least we know him like that from his Bayern Munich times. He doesn't care whether Bayern Munich have finished the season early or not. He just scores a lot of goals. But this season I don't see him being productive enough in terms of goals. Of course he is aging also but he is still Lewandowski. He can do better than this in every tournament.

Lazio are one of the attention getting teams of the season now. Because they are about to finish the season with a bigger success compared to last season as it seems.

They can really qualify for the Champions League this time. They have captured the second place by taking advantage of the chances very well. They are lucky also that all the other teams with the same goal have been struggling for weeks. They have made many point losses in the meantime. Lazio need to maintain this good form for a little longer to be able to secure their presence in top four. The first step will be to win against Monza this week. This isn't a difficult task to perform for them considering the recent effort though.

Feyenoord and Roma are going to play against each other in this round and it can be a quite interesting and competitive draw.

Because these two teams played against each other in the Europa Conference League finale last season. Roma won the title by 1-0 maybe but it wasn't easy at all. Feyenoord made huge difficulties for them and they had a big dominance in ball possession mostly also. This time these teams are playing two legs against each other. I wonder if Feyenoord would be able to have their revenge on them. This time Roma need to make a good improvement in their effort against them. Otherwise it wouldn't be a surprise to see Feyenoord eliminating them.

Tuchel'in takıma gelmesinin ne kadar büyük bir etki yaratacağını merak içerisinde bekliyorum. Bu kadar ani bir kararla Nagelsmann'ın takımdan gitmesini şaşkınlıkla karşıladım açıkçası. Sonuçta Şampiyonlar Ligi'nde iyi gidiyorlardı. Tabi Bundesliga'da önceki sezonlarda olduğu kadar rahat bir konumda değillerdi ve hatta liderliği de Dortmund'a kaptırdılar. Yine de bu kadar apar topar bir karara böyle kritik bir dönemde varılmalı mıydı onu zaman gösterecek. Bence Bayern Münih hala Dortmund'a karşı maçın favorisi ve kazanma şansları daha yüksek.

There is a problem for Manchester United right now and in my opinion it is a big one also.

They still haven't extended Rashford's contract which is ending in the summer of 2024 for now. If they don't go for new contract talks then they might be under the danger of losing him to another big team in this summer. We have all seen how he has been performing so far in this season. This is like his most productive season for his team - 27 goals, 9 assists in 44 matches. He is still only 25 years old and I think Manchester United should try to extend his contract by at least a few years. He is one of the most beneficial players now.
