i don't think the problem is with Messi and Mbappe not playing well together, i've seen some good chemistry between them in a lot of matches, Messi got that killer pass and Mbappe got the speed, that's an amazing combination, midfield of PSG is weak in my opinion, they really need an upgrade there.

I expected PSG to perform even worse after they got kicked out of the Champions League. When you are a superstar and the only title you are playing for is Ligue 1, I think it is almost normal when you can't push yourself to the limit. That is the disadvantage for PSG and has been a problem for a long time now. They live the whole year for the Champions League, then they get kicked out and they know that there is nothing special about winning Ligue when you have a team that is destined to win the CL. That's why I don't like it when such players go to mediocre leagues because they get paid well. Neymar was a talent wasted and Mbappe is, too. Individual quality seems also good to expect more collective play between players, but against Lyon I think it was really difficult. I saw Messi several times pass to Mbappe but a bad finishing meant that PSG didn't get a goal.

PSG play as a team now, but there has always been an assumption that conflicts between players are the reason they are not in good form. I don't agree on all assumptions even though I've seen some players being too egotistical with other players.
