1321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 15M BTC goes into self custody on: May 30, 2023, 05:20:14 AM
I think it has something to do with the US government, showing signs that it wants to over regulate Crypto currencies. The government can only concentrate their regulations on centralized services like wallet providers and Exchanges, so they are the main targets.

So, by moving your coins out of these centralized services, you effectively "free" up your tokens from these strict regulations. We just hope that the US elections will sort out these dark clouds that are hanging on the horizon.  Roll Eyes
1322  Economy / Economics / Re: Going to war means let's ulter the economic progression on: May 29, 2023, 06:51:14 AM
My personal view on this is that there are a more sinister plot behind all of these wars. It is not just a political reason, but an economical strategy to "reset" markets.

Just look at the major market shifts around the world, when a war is announced. The stock markets take a huge blow and "reset" for rich people to make more profits. (Insiders must know about these wars in advance and they sell before the markets start to plummet)

The manufacturers of arms and ammunition are smiling, because they make huge profits in time of war.

Governments also reduce unemployment, because civilians are called up for duty to protect their country. A lot of people are killed, so they are also reducing the population.  Roll Eyes
1323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you prefer Original Slots or slots from 3rd party Slot providers? on: May 29, 2023, 06:39:46 AM
I prefer original ones, specially if the casino itself provides provably fair ones.
To be honest, I am not very into slots, though I have noticed that many of the third party slots are very visually over charged to fit the thematic they would like to go for.

I am more into simple designs like those we could find on Stake's Originals. It is not bland but also not over-charged.

Yea, I think it is much easier and cheaper to test the RTP for original games, because you can bet for a fraction of a cent with Crypto currencies. It takes about 1 000 000+ bets to test the RTP of the games and 3rd party Slots have higher minimum bet sizes, than original games. (just do the math to make 1 000 000 bets at 5c or 10c)

I have to agree with you, some Stake original games are fun to play and the graphics and sounds are actually very good, compared to other sites I have seen.  Cheesy

This makes a good read unless you are a stake employee or affiliated with stake.

What a crock of sh1t....

Stake are not sponsoring football teams (Everton & Watford) to target UK gamblers, they do that because football is a global Sport and it gives them global advertising possibilities.  Roll Eyes

Stake also created a whole new site, namely stake.uk.com that adhere to UK laws and regulations for them to operate there. They cannot offer all games, but they do offer games that are allowed in the UK.

This article are drumming up a lot of unrelated stories without actual proof that Stake.com are involved in any shady activities to promote VPN use. I even see someone trying to bait Eddie in his stream to say something about VPN use, but Eddie does not fall for nonsense like that.... when the mods muted the chat user for spamming, he just popped up under a new Alt user... and continued doing that.  Roll Eyes
1325  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [23-05-25] Will Bitcoin help Ron DeSantis become President of the United States? on: May 29, 2023, 06:03:50 AM
We have heard all of that before, just go back to the run up to the election where Trump was elected. One of the senators (a women) were saying all the right things, before the election and then when Trump were elected, he turned against Bitcoin and she kept quite.. because the money was too good for her to fight for Bitcoin.  Roll Eyes

You cannot believe one thing that comes out of the mouth of a politician, they will promise you the world before the election, but once they are voted in, they forget all about that.  Roll Eyes
1326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the disagreement between the Government, Bank and Bitcoin? on: May 29, 2023, 05:55:43 AM
OP, the answer is actually very simple :

Governments control the supply of all currencies and by doing that, they control the economy and the people in their country. So Bitcoin takes the control away from them, if Bitcoin replace fiat currencies and they want to prevent that at all cost. Governments can also monitor all transactions via Banks to track people's wealth... and for tax purposes.

The Banks on the other hand wants to make profits by over charging people on transaction fees and Bitcoin takes away some of their customers and they hate that.

Bitcoin are breaking the control that Governments and Banks have over people and they cannot handle that.
1327  Economy / Economics / Re: South Africa in trouble. on: May 28, 2023, 10:04:32 AM
Well, the US must just make sure that their accusations are correct, because the South African government already made a Press statement that the Russian boat in the South African harbor where downloading food and supplies for their Russian embassy in South Africa.

South Africa forms part of the BRICS countries, so it is clear where their loyalties are... but economically that is a gamble. Everyone know the USA are in trouble and some countries are trying to distance them from that trouble.... South Africa are one of those countries.  Roll Eyes
You are absolutely correct because the latest news is that the US ambassador that made the allegations have apologized to South Africa for making such an allegation without concrete evidence. This is a serious allegation that can ruin the political, social, and economic sectors of a country. South Africa has insisted that they are committed to its political neutrality and Arms Control Act. This might be an intimidation strategy by the West to make South Africa reduce its commitment to the BRICS alliance or an administrative or diplomatic blunder by Reuben E. Brigety.

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-65572154

Well, it looks like South Africa political neutrality are counting in their favor now, because the US are not in the position to talk with Russia about Peace in this war with the Ukrainians ...due to their hostile approach towards Russia.

South Africa on the other end, stayed neutral and they are talking to both countries to establish some grounds for peace talks. You can go in with all guns blazing like the Americans or you can simply extend your hand and get a political solution for the war, like the South Africans are doing.  Wink
1328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why choosing instant withdrawal casinos on: May 28, 2023, 09:56:42 AM
Well, I think it would have been better if you only tried to withdraw say 30% of your whole balance and then waited a few days and then withdraw another 30%...etc... because the smaller casinos does not like a complete withdraw of all the balance in one withdraw. (It hurts their cash flow)

I play mostly at Stake.com and PrimeDice and the larger casinos, because they are not full of nonsense when you want to withdraw large amounts. I hope you learnt your lesson and you will take my advice.  Wink
1329  Economy / Gambling / Re: blizz.io blatant scammers stay away on: May 28, 2023, 09:50:50 AM
The thing is ... casinos use a system that "flags" a scam matrix and if your play fits that matrix.. your account gets flagged. So you might have been unlucky to fit that scam matrix by accident and they trusted that system to "block" your account.

They should have investigated a little bit more, but I doubt that they will put the effort in to do that.. so you got flagged as a scammer and they hate scammers, so they blocked your account and took your money.

You should play at more reputable gambling sites, with a more "fair" approach to such instances.  Wink
1330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't be fool to keep it online, look my name on: May 28, 2023, 09:40:17 AM
I have learnt that lesson when one of the forum member stored their keys in the cloud a few years ago and someone hacked their account and found his/her keys. Now I see Ledger created a "online" storage feature for the "Seed" or "Private keys" and I see storm clouds gathering for a shit storm!

I will also plead with people not to trust 3rd party services with their keys, not even if it is a regulated Exchange. Use the service to trade (buy and sell) but do not keep it on there for long periods.  Tongue
1331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: At How Much Price You First Saw The Bitcoin? on: May 28, 2023, 09:35:05 AM
Well, it was introduced to me when the price was just over $100..... but I did not buy at that price. I thought it was Monopoly money and I thought it will be shutdown by the governments of the world, like they did with other people who created their own currencies.

It was "Cloak and Dagger" money back then and people bought it secretly on street corners in my country. I did more research and I figured out that it cannot be shutdown and I found a way to buy it online, so I started buying at $300+  Tongue
1332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Rugby] Union 🏉 League 🏆 Super 6/7s Pro14, Cups & Tours | Olympics | Touch.... on: May 26, 2023, 06:10:39 AM
I do not see a thread discussing the United Rugby Championship and the final being played between the Stormers and Munster tomorrow, so I just want to know who do you think is going to win that match?

It is being played in South Africa, giving home field advantage to the Stormers, but Munster has won the Stormers at their home field before, so I do not know if it actually gives them a large advantage.  Roll Eyes

This is going to be a hard match and too close to call...  Roll Eyes
1333  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: May 26, 2023, 06:00:15 AM
-snip-
Some user tell information for us about these.

He said, from the stream "Eddie" told to us nothing had change. They only want you to read & reminder again the term & condition, maybe in the stream you can ask Eddie again for confirmation.

As you know, they ask us to accept pops up (T&C) 2x times.

Yeah that was me.
He 100% said on stream that nothing has changed in the TOS and the recent pop up is just a "friendly reminder" of them.

Maybe there was some confusion about the rules so they wanted users to confirm them again, just in case.

It's a little strange though that some days ago I had to confirm them yet again for the 2nd time.

I think some people might think that they can use the "once off" reading of the ToS at the registering of their account, as an excuse that they could have missed something or they have forgotten something. So Stake are forcing people to acknowledge it again and to refresh their memories.

This is probably not going to be the last time that we will be doing this, Stake will probably repeat this on a regular basis to cover themselves against people who wants to exploit loopholes.  Wink
1334  Economy / Economics / Re: Germany surprises everyone, the economy keeps growing on: May 26, 2023, 05:44:08 AM
I think one of the reasons that Germany are doing so well is that the economy of Germany is the largest manufacturing economy in Europe. Germany is also the most open economy amongst the G7 states, with a foreign trade quota at around 98%  Grin

Germany's rebirth as a global economic power after World War II, just shows us how fast they can recover after a crisis, so it was expected that they would bounce back first, after Covid and also the influence of the War between Russia and the Ukraine.
1335  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2023-05-25] Forbes: Elon Musk Issued A Stark Crypto Warning After $2 Trillion.. on: May 26, 2023, 05:31:28 AM
@pawel7777. If Elon is hyping, he is dumping. If Elon is warning not to buy, he will be buying. We have witnessed his shilling tactics on dogecoin already hehehehe. We are presently seeing his fear tactics. My prediction, within 1 year Elon will make an announcement that one of his companies has bought bitcoin to hold for the treasury.

Do you really think, Elon Musk need to use "fear" tactics to influence the market? The guy have been the richest person in the world on several occasions and his Bitcoin ownership, according to him.... is very small.  Roll Eyes

Yes, he joked around with Shiba and Dogecoin a few years ago, but he got into trouble for that... so I doubt that he will try and do that again. I think the US sentiment towards Crypto currencies are negative at the moment, because strict regulation is on the horizon and Elon Musk have seen that.  Roll Eyes
1336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dubai to construct the world's first bitcoin tower on: May 26, 2023, 05:22:21 AM
Well, if they go through with this...it will be an iconic building for Bitcoin awareness and a good destination for Bitcoin tourists. I for one, will like to take a photo in front of a building shaped like that. (Bucket lists item)

The building will also boost Bitcoin adoption, because a lot of people are looking up to the people in Dubai, for what they have achieved in the global financial scene and they follow their lead, because they know that they are at the forefront of technology.  Wink
1337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Crypto coin Do You Gamble with the Most? on: May 25, 2023, 06:08:26 AM
I have a very weird strategy, because I adapt my coin of choice... based on the market movement. I deposit both stable and unstable coins and then play with stable coins, when the markets are volatile and when it is dumping.

I will then switch to my unstable coins when the market are in a recovery phase, because I do not want to lose any money due to market volatility. So, it's tokens like usdt when the markets are volatile and in the "red" and it is unstable tokens when the market is in the "green"  Grin

So, nobody is saying anything about the Post-Monthly that was paid out? I was very surprised about this, because we have not seen a decent post-monthly like this for a while. Mine was actually a bit more than what I expected from a post monthly, because it is normally about the same as a Weekly.

Eddie did say on Saturday that they tweaked the bonuses and that it was going to be slightly more than usual, so it was like that for me. (I did lose a bit more than usual, so it might just be that too)  Tongue
1339  Economy / Gambling / Re: Help us to choose a bonus for a review campaign! on: May 25, 2023, 05:39:37 AM
I agree with users who're recommend you to pay with Bitcoin especially you pay upfront payment to make them exploring your casino. Don't pay with altcoins because your thread will be placed in bounty section where good users most likely will not visit it and you only get spammers.

Anyway, if you're thinking in creating a good campaign here in bitcointalk, let me recommend that you hire a good campaign manager like Trofo, who very professionally managed the aforementioned.
They previously have launched a campaign where Royse777 is the campaign manager [PAUSE] Signature Campaign MEGAPARI Betting Company | $2.50 BTC per post reward it has been around for 22 weeks and now the campaign was paused.

This makes you wonder if the signature campaign did not give them the desired results or if the money ran out for this campaign? I do not know if better reward bonuses will draw in more people, because there are some stigma linked to these rewards.

Are these rewards worth it, if it comes with a bunch of "rules" that you have to adhere to? (Rollover requirements)? A lot of the successful casinos do not offer these bogus rewards, they run competitions and challenges for large prizes.
1340  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of artificial intelligence, chat GPT on the crypto market. on: May 25, 2023, 05:32:21 AM
I think people are over hyping this whole ChatGPT AI thing, because they see "fake" market predictions from ChatGPT content providers, and they think it is actually usable.  Roll Eyes

ChatGPT and all other AI driven software have one thing in common... "Garbage In - Garbage Out" .... because the data that the AI are using are human generated and if that is flawed, then the outcome of the query are flawed too.  Tongue

AI are the new buzzword and people follow like sheep....
