1361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: July 15, 2023, 03:46:57 PM
It is not that easy for PSG. The Messi, Neymar and Mbappe connection was an exception because strong players do usually not want to go Ligue 1. Haaland never considered for a moment to go to PSG and it makes sense to me as he quickly realized that it would have been a massive waste of his potential and his career. Nobody cares whether he scores 20 or 30 goals in Ligue 1, but everybody cared whether he is going to break the records in the Premier League. Someone who does that must be a world class player and it counts a lot.
Players tend to select teams based on the money they will earn, the achievement that could be done and the position of the league among the european ones.
Based on money, I mean the salary they will perceive, for example Neymar moved to PSG since he has a big offer. Achievements for PSG are Ligue 1 title which is obvious and potentially a big chance to play in Champions League and eventually try earning it which is the only interesting thing selecting that team specifically. For the position, Ligue 1 comes to the 5th place after EPL, La Liga, Serie A and Bundesliga. Less competitive than the others even though Marseille and Lens made some actions last season but far from influencing the ranking of PSG.

Plot twist.
Juventus is may interested in buying Lukaku for Chelsea according go Di Marzio.

HE is promised to Inter, but Juventus can break the deal between them.

Juventus being interested in Lukaku deal would mean that the Juventus team are looking towards selling their young serbian striker, Dušan Vlahović to PSG. With 80M fee slapped on Dušan Vlahović; and Chelsea wanting as little as 40M for the unwanted loanee striker Lukaku; i think its a good deal for both parties
Although Lukaku isn't playing as he used to play previously, yet we find teams fighting to recruit him. Juventus, Ac Milan rumours about getting him was correct but quite random since the player claimed he wants to stay with Inter.
There is a second attempt by Inter to seduce Chelsea which seems to get maximum profits from this.

Manchester City is currently in their best shape and they are in a situation in which I can say Guardiola can even help his team to win the champions league for another time because Manchester City right now got everything they need.
They got a star like Haaland in their team and a coach like Guardiola who knows how to win this tournament.
Classically Manchester City is a contender for the Champions League and EPL titles by default. What makes this easy to happen is the fact that the other teams are playing poorly. Let's start with Manchester United bad debut, Liverpool out of its normal shape, Bayern Munich and PSG aren't that competitive, Real Madrid wasn't playing as they used to do, Barcelona failed bad in European competitions altogether... That was like a direct road to the titles. Even the Italian clubs weren't successful in stopping City.
1364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: July 14, 2023, 01:47:33 PM
It is only natural that there are hateful comments about the Saudi league, especially coming from fans of Europe's top leagues, and the parties concerned are certainly very understanding of what they are doing. I think the fact that the saudi league is starting to gain popularity is indisputable from now on because this league will attract the interest of the public in a sizeable amount.
Saudi League is getting more popular otherwise we wouldn't see people around the world talking about it that much, even in our forums I feel the topic is more active than some European leagues.
The main point is how much this bubble or tendance will remain. I mean Chinese at some point were popular among Europeans then suddenly faded. I don't know if Saudis will keep their league attractive or will stop running behind players after few seasons..

It really surprises me. I don't even expect if walker gonna try to make verbal agreement with bayern. I thought that if kyle was extending his contract with manchester city but it's likely city is not giving lucrative offer for him. I think that's the main reason for him tries to leave from the club.
Manchester City may face a lot challenge next season with how many of their key players are leaving this season to other clubs. Gundogan already left, Laporte, Mahrez, Bernando will leave also, and now Kyle Walker. Manchester City most likely will not enjoy their consistent victory in games like they did last season because of how the team will try to adjust without all these players as options and also with the new players that will come join the club. The news on Gvardiol and the progress on the report to sign him is still waiting to be heard.
If we talk about positions then all of these players have at least one substitute, if not several ones apart from Mahrez. We know also that Mahrez didn't participate a lot in the previous season and was less effective comparing to two or three years ago.
Obviously having many players leaving the club will destabilise it but Manchester City know already that a transition phase will occur especially after they won everything especially Champions League title Wink

@Uruhara Pulisic is a very talented player and he was not used well at Chelsea however at Milan we can hope that he’ll be given more opportunities to perform and thus I feel that he’ll definitely improve the team. Furthermore last year the Italian team’s improved way beyond expectations and this year I believe that they’ll continue to push the other league team’s even further because they’ll be hurting from their loss that they suffered last season.
He played well at Dortmund and impressive enough to convince Chelsea to buy him. However his performance for Chelsea is not as good as they expected from Pulisic. When their new coach does not want to add Pulisic into his plan, he has to find another club and it is AC Milan. It is a chance for Pulisic to enjoy a third big league in Europe, after Bundesliga and Premier League, now he will play in Serie A. He is still young enough to think of La Liga in next some seasons.

Italian football does not have too fast speed, high intensity like Premier League and it can help Pulisic to play better. With his vision and good dribbling skills, he will be useful for AC Milan and can support Rafael Leao and Giroud.
EPL level is way better than the others, for me it is the equal of La Liga and Serie A together. A player joining EPL has to know that the challenge there is intense and risk of failure is considerable.
Ac Milan didn't impress in the previous season, they dropped badly and kept hovering between playing good and sometimes doing really bad. Until now they didn't sign big names, they bought two players from Chelsea and sold Tonali to Newcastle.
1367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: July 14, 2023, 01:22:03 PM
Even though Real Madrid have already got Joselu, he was only on loan for one season from Espanyol and next year requires Real Madrid to hunt for another striker if this summer they don't get a striker. Mbappe and Osimhen are the right choices but until now there has been no clear offer for these two players.

Tchouameni and Courtois seem to have attracted interest from some of Europe's top clubs and it is unlikely that Real Madrid will ever let go of the player despite being paid such a hefty sum. We know Real Madrid is not a team with bad finances and they can still sign a player like Bellingham this summer.
Since Mbappe refused to extend his contract with PSG and since the club president Al Khalifi said it clearly that Mbappe has to renew the contract or leave the club in two weeks then I assume Mbappe will join Real Madrid by the end of the transfer window. At worst he will be sanctioned and will be in the benches the next season so he might accept to leave in the winter transfer window.
Real Madrid has to find a temporary solution only concerning that spot.
1368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Conference League Discussion Thread -- 2023/24 | Qualifiers on: July 13, 2023, 10:26:05 PM
Conference League will resume later this day and I see few known names mainly Puynik that will play tomorrow, Alashkert too. The other teams are less known and some of them never heard about them. Second qualifying round will be held in a week and hopefully these games will be a bit challenging although I don't think they will be.
If Pyunik and Alashkert from all these teams is best known for you, then most likely you're from Armenia Cheesy. But seriously, from all these teams which playing today, just few have experience to play in group stage.
Not going with big bets today, mainly some over 2.5 goals and BTTS markets.
I am not from Armenia, I maybe should specified what I meant by knowing a little about these teams and barely nothing about the others Smiley
Puynik generally advance to a later stage and they won their game with 2 goals to 0 vs Trans which is expected.
Aleshkert avoided a defeat after being 1 goal down. Barely half of the matches played yesterday ended with a draw..
1369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: July 13, 2023, 10:17:37 PM
In yesterday's matches, Sheriff lost their game vs Farul from Romania with 1 goal to 0. That was quite unexpected for me. The draw between Bratislava and FC Swift Hesperange, a team from Luxembourg, was upsetting too.
This stage is quite random and we are witnessing weird results. Next week we will see how it will end this first qualifying round after the 2nd leg games.
1370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: July 13, 2023, 09:53:12 PM
What you think most teams rarely do is basically done quite often by Barcelona. Real Madrid tend to buy top players because they are not very confident when playing with academy players, whereas Barcelona always has several academy players who become top players in the first team and win titles. Barcelona also loan their academy players to other teams or maybe sell them, but they have always had some academy players in the main squad even now.

Barcelona is even known to be successful with its academy players, but Real Madrid is successful with non-academy players. These two teams are different, even from the way they orbit the future Spanish superstar within their team.
What makes an academy better than the other is the selectivity and the professionalism of the recruiters. I mean you can accept many players, select the best and see how things are going with them or actively search for these future players and talents everywhere to include them with the team. It is the role of the management to improve the academy.
1371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 12, 2023, 11:46:08 PM
I don't see anyone rumoured to be Milan's new centre-forward these days. Lukaku was rumoured for a short time but it went away. Because Lukaku was prioritizing to join Inter instead. Now Milan don't seem to be in a rush to finish a striker signing. But they had better work on this situation as they are in need of one.

Origi and Giroud can't be reliable anymore. As long as they have big goals in the Serie A they have no other sensible choice other than signing a much more credible striker. A young and talented or a credible experienced striker can be a great use for them. There is already Leao's great contribution and together with it they can be much more productive.
I read about AC Milan trying to find a good substitute for Giroud since he is getting old and they are trying to pick Alvaro Morata from Atletico Madrid or else Mehdi Taremi from Porto. I don't know at which step they are now but it is fondamental to bring a player that like the club and want to see it improving

I just see that how PSG fans were mocking lucas hernandez caused by he was born in marseille. The PSG fans are so stupid as fuck. These fans have no brain. They were always booing and mocking the players like they do know everything about football.

The problem in PSG was not the club but the fans itself who are not able to supporting the club. It's very bad for hernandez to be mocked by the stupid PSG fans as Marseillais.

I don't like PSG fans on French. They were always sneering at the player that they don't like him.
It is quite disturbing to read such attitude that separates between regions and others racial ones and so on.. It is like the player is forced to prove himself in order to get some respect. Quite pathetic these fans are.. A part from them only for sure.
Otherwise it is hard to limit the number of participants or impose sanctions since it will backfire on the team.

Qarabag 2 - 1 Licoln

Zalgiris 0 - 0 Struga.

The match between qarabag is quite easy to predict the winner but as i said above that if zalgris and struga is very hard to predict. It's caused by struga was also performing well in the domestic league.
The result from zalgiris and struga is far from my expectation. I thought that if zalgiriz would be able winning the game easily.
I don't know how several of these teams are doing in their domestic leagues so I can't tell precisely which one is better in this first qualifying round of Champions League. There is known names like Qarabag and Zalgiris that I used to see in a later stage, both teams won, at the opposite Ludogorets are a known team, yet they lost vs Ballkani with 2 goals to 0! Ferencvaros weren't able to win vs a team named Ki and the final result was 0 - 0..
HJK, Sheriff, Bratislava will play tomorrow and I think they will win.

There will be no repeated mistakes that Real Madrid will make in this transfer season because we can see that Real Madrid have acquired several young players at not too high a price and left money to take Kylian Mbappe when the time comes.
Many hope that Kylian Mbappe can be present among other players at Real Madrid to be able to take his glory in the champions league later.
Nasser Al khalifi will not let Mbappe move to Real Madrid for free. He had spoken and wasn't happy about the decision of the player to not extend his contract and activate the 1 year renewal option. This put PSG administration in an awkward position and all of them will be convinced that his departure this season is essential for the team since they are the only one losing in this whole story.
Mbappe have a good salary. Real Madrid will get the player for free next season. PSG will lose him once for all for free and this isn't good for them. They will make him move for a good price by the end of this transfer window!
1376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: July 10, 2023, 10:15:31 PM
Bernardo Silva to PSG was a thing according to news sources in late June. But currently I'm not hearing about any update on this possible transfer. PSG will need to be prepared to sacrifice quite a high sum of transfer fee to sign him as it seems. Because his market value is already 80 million euros. As he still has 2 more years on his contract Manchester City would be comfortable about asking for a quite high price for him. He is one of the important players of the attacking line for the Manchester club now.

However Bernardo Silva would be like one of the best options to fill Messi's place in a wonderful way.  Smiley
Bernardo Silva won everything with Manchester City so he is trying to play elsewhere and compete in other challenges with a new team and league.
As far from what I read and heard, the player will not extend his contract with Manchester City which will accept to let him go if he refuse to continue playing with them. Once this done, PSG will move and will buy him from City with €80m reportedly. There is Barcelona that seemed interested at a point but apparently they abandoned the race.
1377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 10, 2023, 10:08:32 PM
The number of rumours about Vlahovic to leave the team is increasing day by day. This time I have heard that there might be a deal between Juventus and Chelsea like 25 million euros cash + Lukaku. If I were in Chelsea's shoes I would have taken this deal and move on. Because they already have no plans for Lukaku as I can see.

After paying only 25 million euros they can allocate even more money for other transfers among their targets. But Juventus would need to convince Lukaku to choose them instead of Inter. I feel like it wouldn't be an easy task considering Lukaku's attitude recently. But one way or another Juventus can lose Vlahovic so they had better have a plan B for a probable striker transfer.
Vlahovic is being considered by PSG along with Victor Osimhen, Harry Kane and Kolo-Muani. He might be the less expensive among these players but nothing seems to be decided yet. There is Chelsea and Bayern Munich that was reported to be interested on signing Vlahovic but according to Fabrizio Romano, there isn't any negotiations between Chelsea and Juve or the player. It is all rumours as always.

Steven Gerrard joined the club in Saudi Arabia like every one else these days and signed a contract with Ettifaq. Things will not be easy for him there.
Another news related to the league is Cuadrado being rejected by Cristiano Ronaldo which refused to see him playing with Al Nassr. They played together in Juventus and I assume they didn't get along with each other? Otherwise why refuse him with them..
1379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: July 10, 2023, 09:52:59 PM
Remember Ronaldo's clause with Al Nassr? It turned out that it was not true, I just knew this. I currently have a news source that may be valid. There is no clause relating Ronaldo and Newcastle. It looks like this season he will remain in the Al Nassr reunion with Benzema. An Nassr and Newcastle are not in one ownership, they are not in Saudi Arabia Public Investment (PIF. This report has also been confirmed by Al Nassr.

Source: https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_/id/37635227/no-newcastle-clause-cristiano-ronaldo-contract-sources
I don't remember reading this news at all and I find it a bit weird for a team to allow another one in a completely different league to take its player. I highly doubt about a written agreement which was confirmed to be fake but I will not be surprised if there is talks about that at a point.
Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo is doing his business with a new mineral water issued by him in Spain Roll Eyes
1380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: July 09, 2023, 11:53:19 PM
I wonder how PSG are going to fill Messi's place. Or have they done it already? I don't know if they are seeing the Asensio transfer as a replacement for Messi. But on the other hand there are striker transfer rumours circulating. Maybe they will have Mbappe on Messi's wing and a new striker at the centre.

But haven't made a single offer to any striker yet. While Bayern Munich are increasing their offer and getting close to Kane signing PSG don't seem interested at all. Then maybe they can go for a much younger and skilled scorer instead. Vlahovic could be a decent option for example if they don't want to pay a much higher amount.
PSG had many departures in fact. Let's start with the whole attack line, starting with Messi place, going to Mbappe which seems to quit the team so they don't lose him for free, Neymar which is absent and might go as well. Sergio Ramos also.
In the other hand, PSG have a lot of players and some positions have like 5 or more options. The problem isn't the quality of these players but how they could play together and win together as a team.
For example, Ekiteke was bought from Reims permanently, Hernandez joined the team from Bayern, Ugarte, Skriniar, Asensio are now available options to count on.
The other problem for PSG is to reduce the number of players by letting them go whether by selling them or by loaning them back.
