Al-Ettifaq started the season pretty well then in their latest games their results were chaotic. Their presence in the 8th position is due to their victories in the beginning. I don't know what Al-Ettifaq objectives this season but Saudis don't tend to accept successive defeats and might sack him if bad results continue. About Cristiano record in the year is amazing to still see him wanting to chase more and more.

There's nothing wrong with the composition of players that Manchester United currently has, the old and young players there also have capabilities, it's just that ETH doesn't yet understand how he should combine the composition of players in each match.

Milan lost two points to Salernitana, the last team in the rankings. With this loss, AC Milan should completely forget about the leadership, there is no leadership anymore, they can only try to maintain their current position. Inter is the team with the most points and playing the best in Seria. I don't think it would be otherwise. Salernitana had many shots on target, they really pushed the Milan goal, they deserved more than a point. The host Salernitana almost beat Milan until the 90th minute.
Ac Milan were able to pick a point from Salernitana in this game, that was ridiculous. This team have one victory, 10 losses and 5 draws before this match. They scored a total of 9 goals including the two that they were able to score in today's game. Overall, Ac Milan were disappointing and they risk to see the gap between them and Inter passing 10 points and 7 points with Juventus. Losing the scudetto isn't their only problem since the other teams behind them are getting closer and they could pick at some point the four Champions League spots. |

Yeah it is quite unexpected to see Aston Villa performance being exceptional in English Premier League this season, annoying top teams and end up dropping points when they played with the last team in the standings! It is like Aston Villa controlling the game and attacking while Sheffield United scoring then Zaniolo saving the day for Aston Villa and giving them a one point reward. Now with Arsenal facing Liverpool and Aston Villa dropping points, Manchester City will be able to get closer from them especially if both Liverpool and Arsenal get a draw. I am also surprised by Lorient's poor performance this season. Even though they didn't perform well last season, at least they were able to reach the top 10 in the league. They ended last season with 15 wins. That is still very good when compared to this season, which has only won 2 wins from 17 matches. I agree with you that what Lorient must focus on this season is how to keep them safe from the relegation zone. Lyon has started to show good performance and is out of the relegation zone. I hope a good end to the season for Lorient too.
That is a very bad achievement for Lorient, but this season it is still quite possible to get out of the relegation zone if Lorient can try to win more matches in this season, because there is still a lot of time for Lorient to make a comeback and get out of this zone in order to be able to compete again in Ligue1 next season. Lorient's previous season wasn't as bad as this season and they certainly know what they have to do to get out of the relegation zone at the end of the season. If Lorient could manage to fix their defence line then they might be able to climb out of the relegation zone. Until then the situation will not improve. Getting beaten by ten goals in three matches is very inconfortable for them and For their fans.. The positive way to see things is the limited gap between the latest teams in the ranking. The thing is very easy for Al Hilal, and the league needs to correct this if they want to be a serious league in the world, you cant have so weak teams in the bottom of the table, if you look on the top 5 leagues of europe the bottom teams lose against the top ones but they lose by not so long margin.
Bayern Munich is one of the teams that used to inflict much damage on their opponents psychologically in Bundesliga but sometimes also in Champions League, especially that time against Barcelona. Al-Hilal are doing very good in Saudi Pro League and this time they literally destroyed Abha which already have a bad defence line. In fact, they received more goals than the first three teams in the standings together! Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Girona all had hard matches this round.
Barcelona had a draw with Almeria until the last minutes of the game when they were able to get the lead and win.
Atletico Madrid were leading with 2 goals difference until the last minutes of the match when Getafe surprised them with 2 goals and picked one point from them.
Girona scored since the first half and were confident to win until almost the end of the game but surprise! Real Betis did it and made them drop the first position to Real Madrid which also picked a victory in the extra time. What a difficult round for all of them but definitely Girona was the one which impacted it the most in my opinion otherwise they would finish this year in the first position..

I see that Brighton's performance this season has declined a bit and it can be seen in the last few matches they have played that a draw against Crystal Palace is very natural, especially since the Crystal Palace team is in quite high confidence after successfully holding off Man City last weekend.
Indeed Brighton are fluctuating much this season comparing to the previous one when they were able to finish sixth in the ranking. This season, they are in the 8th position due to their weak defence line comparing to the attack line. They have the worst record of goals received after the teams in the relegation zone while the number of goals scored by them is very close to the top teams. They might remain in this position since West Ham United will face Manchester United unless they get a draw. I know Manchester United aren't well at all so I am not rolling out their defeat.. Regarding the fight for the title, I think there is still quite a long way to go and it is not only Liverpool and Arsenal who are favorites but several other teams also still have the same percentage in the title race.
This weekend Liverpool will face Arsenal, it will be a fierce match for them fighting for the top position in the Premier League standings.
The gap between the top teams aren't that big and they have moments where they lose successive points in games so it isn't clear which team will be the most favourite among them. Manchester City odds remain high in my opinion, along with Liverpool then Arsenal. Today we have one interesting match between Betis v Girona can Girona maintain their position in the standings? Nice and PSG winning to night is further going to increase the point difference between this two teams on the league table this season, PSG will now be five points ahead of Nice, I think it will be very difficult for Nice to be able to get back to the top of the table again any time soon because PSG continually maintain the point difference between them.
PSG appeared more superior in today's game and their dominance has been seen in a greater part of the game, they did had no goals in the first half and it did looked like they were going to draw this game but in the second half, they have been able to lead by three goals and definitely going to get three points by the end of the game today because the second half is almost coming to an end with a 3-1 score line, this has made PSG top position on the table firm for the time been and Nice trying really hard to get back to the top.
PSG victory in Parc des Princes when they faced Metz today is not a surprise, especially with Mbappe scoring two goals. Metz isn't doing good in Ligue 1 and that was their fourth successive defeats. Now Nice won too at home against Lens by two goals, which is a good score comparing how much Lens improved comparing to the beginning of the season. When comparing PSG with Nice, the difference is clear. The goals scored by PSG are twice more than what Nice scored. In fact the number of goals scored by Nice are less than the other top 7 teams.. I am pretty much satisfied with Lyon progression these days with another victory today vs Nantes. This season, Bayern Leverkusen is far better than Bochum, I am expecting a straight win for them because since they are in a title race against Bayern Munich and probably Stuttgart and Dortmund; I know they will not lose any chance of winning any match that come their way.
Although, Bochum won the last match between them and Leverkusen, but this season, it will not be possible because unlike last season, Leverkusen is aiming the to win the Bundesliga title this season.
It has been another superb performance from Bayern Leverkusen. They have been dominant from the start of the game and the game ended with 4:0. They have really impressed very well again tonight. Congratulations to them another step closer to the league tittle. It is Bayer and not Bayern. Indeed Leverkusen are knocking their opponents easily and by a big score this season. They have the best defence and one of the best attack line along with Bayern Munich. Their only problems is the narrow gap between them and Bayern Munich by one goal if we assume that Bayern Munich will win against Union Berlin in the missed game. The way West Ham United have been playing there is more than a slim chance that they could manage an upset at Anfield but the way Liverpool are playing it seems difficult. For West Ham to win, they would have to be playing at their best while Liverpool would have to make a series of disastrous errors. It could in a hard fought 2-1 home win.
Liverpool 1 - 0 West Ham United in the first half. West Ham United didn't impress at all in this first half, basically no control of the ball, no serious attempts to not say no attempts at all. They are already one goal down against Liverpool which was dominating in this first half. Liverpool are better, winning most of the time against West Ham United and today it seems that the result will not be different. I don't know if West Ham United will play seriously in the second half but their best chance might be to pick a goal to get the draw and drive Liverpool to play with them penalties, then everyone will try their luck. |

Everton's performance during this season was well enough but didn't you know Everton's owners are not in a good situation and this team is not in a good situation. There is even a chance for Everton to get relegated in this season because of that. I think if they really care about Everton, they should find a new owner and chairman for this team before it gets too late.
If Everton could keep up with the others teams like they did against Fulham tonight in EFL Cup. They were one goal behind then managed to get the draw and goes to penalties up to 7 tries before the defeat. At least they tried their best. Everton had been in difficulty in the last two seasons and continues with that rhythm this season until they invest cleverly to improve the team.
In the other matches of EFL Cup, Newcastle were leading the whole time by one goal until extra time Chelsea scored and penalties were in favour of Chelsea! A very bad ending for Newcastle in that competition. I expect them to invest in this winter transfer window to improve the squad and their results. |

Today's games were kind of tricky to predict. I didn't know what team or options to bet on,
I agree that the combination of fluctuating teams make it very hard to predict the winner in this avoid to bet on matches if we can say that. The only exception might be Atletico Madrid since it is way favourite than Getafe and the hardest to predict is Rayo Vallecano match against Valencia because the two teams are close to each others, yet Rayo Vallecano lost with one goal in their home.
Fortunately for Sevilla, they're not going to have any problems today from Granada. Sevilla is 2- nil up in the first half and except a very funny drama happens in the second half, 3 points is sure for Sevilla. I wish I had taken the risk to bet on Sevilla.
Granada continues to have a very bad performance that started already from the previous season at least and apparently this time they will not escape the relegation for real. Sevilla which is fluctuating and barely winning, are already 3 points ahead of them after 50 minutes from the start of the game.. In other news, Atletico seem to understand the assignment. I played them to win and they're winning. Although things might get tricky in the second half because Savic has received a second yellow card and he's out of the game.
Knowing Atletico Madrid, they would go into full defense mode in the second half. I'm hopeful because the goal came after the red card, meaning they can still score even if they're a man down .

Therefore, because this Coppa Italia match will also be played at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona then yes, of course Napoli will continue to play well of course to get a win in this match because yes, basically Frosinone does not have good quality compared to Napoli. Today Manchester City will be playing in the FIFA Club World Cup against Urawa Reds from Japan and yes, I am curious whether Manchester City will be playing their main squad or just playing their second tier players. But, if I consider Mancester City's schedule, then it doesn't seem right if Manchester City only plays second-tier players because after all, Manchester City will also return to playing in the Premier League on the 29th against Everton.
Moreover, considering also the trophy winners in the FIFA Club World Cup are dominated by European elite teams and in fact, Manchester City has not yet won this FIFA Club World Cup trophy. Therefore, even though the opponent that Manchester City will face is not a team that has as good quality as the elite European teams. The Quarter-final games will start soon with three matches that will be played today and one tomorrow.
First match is between Everton and Fulham in Goodison Park which is the advantage that Everton have. Additionally they have a good record in their latest games at the opposite of the beginning, yet I find Fulham a little bit better at the opposite of bookies where Everton are favourite in this match with 1.8 vs 3.8 for Fulham.
In the second match we have two random teams and it appears that Middlesbrough will win this game. Then there is the best match where Newcastle will face Chelsea in Stamford Bridge. I know that both teams are lagging in English Premier League but the odds difference is quite big with Chelsea @1.7 and Newcastle @4.3. Even though Chelsea is the host, Newcastle aren't that weak!
The last game will be played tomorrow with Liverpool favourite at home against West Ham United thought.
