1361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is It For The Money Or For The Sport Or A Clear Exploitations on: August 03, 2022, 05:43:59 PM
Sajad Gharibi is a professional wrestler and not a boxer, so it's not a surprise that the match was completely one sided. Wrestling requires power while boxing needs agility. So the result was quite expected and I am sure majority of the people put their mkney on Djumanov Almat Bakhytovich as it was a boxing match.

Also such fancy matches are money making machine for both the organizers and the players. They all have earned couple of millions and had a good night sleep after the match.
1362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to BTC if China attack on Taiwan? on: August 03, 2022, 04:40:57 PM
As Taiwan is a China Territory.

Wrong information! China claims that Taiwan is their territory but it is indeed an independent country.

Quote
As Russia attack on Ukraine it effects the BTC mostly. My question is that how many others coin will affected if above said thing goes straight.

If China attacks Taiwan, I think bitcoin's price will be positively impacted. China can take same measures they took with Hongkong residents and w3 have seen people converting their wealth into bitcoin to safeguard from bank account freeze. The demand for bitcoin should increase as well as the price if another war happens!
1363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Micheal saylor and btc on: August 03, 2022, 06:22:39 AM
The father of btc leave btc
So bye bye btc see you at lowest price
Can btc disapeare now ? If micheal satoshi saylor leaves ntc company ?
Time for exit ?

Please leave if you want but bitcoin doesn't depend on a single person no matter how powerful or influencing he is! This is not how bitcoin works! That's the beauty of a free global market where no one controls the asset.

Bitcoin is available now at a super discounted price and bitcoin believers are accumulating more because we may not see this price point ever again in the future. Those who understand how the bitcoin market works, they are not worried about a person leaving bitcoin. Once this bear cycle is over, it will be a grand slam run awaiting for us!
1364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba lovers lower your expectations on: August 02, 2022, 03:38:32 PM
I want to advise you guys as a fan of shiba inu, if we are on the same path with shiba inu please make sure your long-term target is 0.005$ for Shib, and erase the mindset of Shiba getting to one dollar, I know Shiba is heavily burning down on supply but the max supply is way too big.

Shiba inu hitting 0.005$ will be a big war for the project, they need to keep expanding every year, even if shiba game and metaverse did so well this price target is still going to be not easy.

Shiba inu will never ever hit a dollar mark. Considering it's supply, the total market cap has to reach few hundred trillion USD in order to reach that one dollar mark which is impossible. So my recommendation is not to waste time in such meme coins. They are not worth your time.

Bitcoin is available at a super discounted price. If you really want to make good investment, the time to buy bitcoin is now! Take it or leave it!
1365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So we've gone from 1 meme coin to one hundred now ? on: August 02, 2022, 11:56:26 AM
Not just shiba, but there's a dozen different others I think.
I tried a couple of them, just to see how they behave in this bear market.
To my surprise one of them was 20% in profit last time I checked ( after about a month ) the other one $50 in profit after one day. Not bad !  Grin
But to be honest I don't think I would put any money on Doge or Shiba... they're already far too high in the rankings.. way... way higher than they deserve. The best gains are made when your meme coin is ranked #800 or somewhere around there

If you like gambling, then you can try your luck in meme coins. But one thing we all need to understand that meme coins are no good. A short term gambling is ok but never keep your money for long term in any meme coins. They don't have any use case or any specific usage, also they are super bad for long term investment.

It's 100s of meme coins now, it will be 1000 in no time. Most of the ponzi scheme owners are trying their luck in crypto market and that's why you will always see newer cpins introducing in the market.
1366  Economy / Speculation / Re: I do believe that Bitcoin will be more scarce than gold on: August 02, 2022, 04:55:16 AM
BTC doesn't have to fight gold, does it?
In fact, BTC is made to defeat fiat. Gold is something different. You can have both BTC and gold. why force yourself to choose one over another?
Gold is good. It made stunning jewelry.
BTC is good. It pays for my coffee.

Lovely! That's exactly what it is! Bitcoin and gold belong to different leagues of assets. They don't have to be compared with each other. Both of these assets have different use cases. In a nutshell, it doesn't matter if bitcoin is more scarce than gold.

On and off, I am seeing a frequent comparison between bitcoin and gold which doesn't really make sense! Even if we consider both as an investment, still they ahould not be compared!
1367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will the next Bull run look like? on: August 01, 2022, 06:49:19 PM

I don't regret what I did because it taught me a lot of valuable lessons along the way. I never sold and continued to invest , I now focus on DCA every month.

That's the best thing to do now. If you have faith and if you aren't investing a very significant amount of money periodically, look forward for a 3 years window. First bull run took us to 22k regime while the second one took us to 69k level. Looking at this, 100,000 looks like a safe assumption for the next bull run.

However, please understand this is a speculation and may not happen at all. So understand the risk and be prepared to invest for even longer term than 3 years.
1368  Economy / Economics / Re: Are we hodling BTC or we are hodling Fiat?? on: August 01, 2022, 03:15:26 PM
There has to be an unit of measurement for cryptocurrencies like bitcoin. Because bitcoin has not yet matured to such a level where it can derive the price of service or goods using the unit of bitcoin. It has to be derived on the fiat value. So bitcoin is on its right track.

What Satoshi did is phenomenal. But when it comes to free market dynamics, a lot can change. That's exactly what happened to bitcoin. People preferred it as an investment than a currency. So be it!
1369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange will go out of business of every Bitcoin is hold in private wallet on: August 01, 2022, 01:34:35 PM
Bitcoin is already winning the war against the centralization of Bitcoin services, and a lot of Bitcoin holders are beginning to realize the safety of their Bitcoin when it is off the exchange and kept in a private wallet. You only send real Bitcoin when you do it on a p2p level and you don't own Bitcoin when your coins are stored on an exchange all you have is just promises and not Bitcoin if your Bitcoin is on the third party exchange.

This statement is half true! Exchanges will never go out of business if the holders choose to keep it in their private wallet. After couple of multi million dollar hacks, people have learnt the lesson and started keeping their bitcoins in their private wallet. But they still need a place when they would want to exchange it or trade with it. P2P is not the only mode of exchange needed. A good percentage of people also trade to earn money to support their day to day expense.

So people are getting smarter for sure but that doesn't nullify the requirement of an exchange. Yes, some small exchange may go out of business but some big ones will still be kicking.
1370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are so many Derivative Exchanges are filling for Bankcruptcy ? on: August 01, 2022, 09:51:15 AM
There could be n number of reasons for a company to go bankrupt. Derivative exchanges are even more prone to such things because they make money out of thin air without holding the actual asset. They allow their traders to bet on price differences that are going to occur in future. So it is a high risk business.

There are other kind of crypto business goong bankrupt as well. I have seen Celcius has also filed for bankruptcy. They gambled for bullish bitcoin but failed to protect the business during a bearish time. So poor fund management is another reason for such bankruptcy cases.
1371  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Central Bank of Russia to Accept Legalization of Cryptocurrency Mining !!! on: July 29, 2022, 06:57:15 PM

Do you expect Russia to legalize cryptocurrency mining this year..?

Russian government or any other communist government can not be trusted. Russia is possibly thinking to bring some forex supply inside the country and that's why they have softened their stance against cryptocurrency. It is probably due to the ongoing war with Ukraine.

But if it is not for the war, their direction can change quickly and may again out a ban on crypto mining at their will. That's the problem with communist governments who don't believe in individual financial freedom.
1372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think a Bitcoin is worth more than a metric ton of gold? on: July 29, 2022, 05:54:58 PM

Do you think this would make Bitcoin more precious than a metric ton of gold, especially considering it cannot be confiscated and travels at the speed of light?

Lol! Your statement doesn't make any sense! Gold and bitcoin are inherently different asset class and must not be compared to each other. Bitcoin has a different group of takers which is very different than gold.

It may be possible that bitcoin may break the price barrier of Gold, but that doesn't prove anything. Bitcoin is an investment asset for the high risk profile investors and for gold, it is usually the risk averse people. Both are very different and it doesn't mean anything at all if bitcoin's price suppress the price of gold.
1373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New scenario for cryptocurrencies next semester on: July 29, 2022, 11:43:01 AM
What is your current view on IEO investments for the next quarter? the points you take into consideration when investing in this type of release? What are its perks and benefits?

IEOs are just an upgraded version of ICO. Since the credibility of ICOs has gone down to drain, the shady coin creators have found a way to sell off their shitcoins through an exchange. That's what is IEO.

So personally I don't invest in IEOs. Because no exchange is doing a due diligence before accepting a coin into their platform for selling. So IEOs also don't have any credibility where I can put my hard earned money!
1374  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Macroeconomic Situation of BTC on: July 28, 2022, 06:33:36 PM
I too agree with OP. Bitcoin is available and traded globally. So it is true that no single factor is impacting bitcoin and its price. There are multiple reasons behind the current bear market. Also people go through a psychological factors like FOMO. These type of people won't buy bitcoin when the price is at all time low. But this same population will buy once they see an upward trend.

For a global currency like bitcoin, it is always multiple factors that come into play. Also we have to keep in mind that it also goes through a bull and bear cycle.
1375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rise of Streamers in Online Gambling on: July 28, 2022, 04:10:59 PM
The marketing landscape changes from time to time. Few yeard back, we didn't know about Tiktok, Twitch etc. But now they are very much mainstream for marketing almost anything. Streaming is one of such areas which are used heavily for marketing nowadays. There's no surprise!

But if you are seeing these streamers are making a ton of money, that's most probably a got up game. These are used for marketing so that a common viewers gets excited and start playing with them. A simple psychological trick!
1376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin soars as the FederalReserve raises the key interest rate by 75 basis pnt on: July 28, 2022, 01:08:16 PM
That's quite strange that bitcoin is impacted positively after FED rate hike. It should have been the other way around. Bitcoin should have gone down a bit. Because when such interest rate hike happens, people move their investment from non-traditional assets to traditional asset classes. That's what should have happened to bitcoin.

So the current price increases has probably happened due to some other reason and not FED rate hike.
1377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Satoshi is not dead, what is he doing? on: July 28, 2022, 07:07:10 AM
After reading so many topics that discuss who satoshi could be and why he would leave bitcoin from one day to another it made me think: What is he doing these days? It is really unlikely that he never ever came back to the forum again, just to read and look at the progress. Also it seems likely that he had at least one alt account that may even be sill active.

Why do you care? You must not care on what Satoshi is doing or whether he is dead or not!

His goal is fulfilled and we are now enjoying the benefits of a financial system where only we can control our own finances. I believe that's enough. If someday he/they have their identities revealed, all powerful enforcement agencies will start running behind him/them. I strongly believe that the case of Craig wright is a got up by FBI to draw him out. But they have failed big time!
1378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LG to make a TV that can trade and issue NFTs on: July 27, 2022, 06:22:29 PM
LG is planning to jump on the NFT bandwagon by creating a TV that will be able to issue and trade non-fungible tokens.

This comes as no surprise, given the recent craze surrounding NFTs. They're planning to offer TV software for issuing and trading NFTs,
as well as software for NFT and crypto transactions.
Plus, they'll be offering digital token brokerage and wealth management services.

It's good to see that LG is getting on board with the NFT and blockchain craze. However, I can't help but feel that they're a bit late to the party.
After all, there are already a number of established players in the space.

Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see what LG has to offer.
I'm sure that their experience in the T.V. and electronics industry will come in handy.

Check out our newsletter at https://ambire-newsletter.beehiiv.com/

Lol! One shit standing up for another shit! LG is a shit TV marker no one gives a damn about anymore. Then NFT is another shit concept joining hands with LG. This one was one of the dominant  brand in the world consumer electronics market but since last couple of years they are constantly loosing their market share due to lack of innovation.

Now this plan of NFT is another hilarious one which wouldn't bring any impact at all. Both are failures and this one is also going to be another big failure.
1379  Economy / Economics / Re: Social media, now looking more for business than for socializing. on: July 27, 2022, 11:13:30 AM
Do you think social media is now becoming more a place for business than socializing, Could it be as a result of digitalization and things moving online or more people now starting business online because of need to somehow generate income or another source of income for self to survive the economic situations which is becoming tougher?

It's a very good change! We are in the middle of an era which can be rightfully described as "social media revolution". Social media has become way more.powerful that we can even imagine. So if such a powerful platform can provide tools and opportunities to showcase your goods or services which can generate some extra income for you, what's the problem!

This way, social media can maintain its relevance in the ever changing technical landscape.
1380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as Crypto Standard ? on: July 27, 2022, 04:48:07 AM
Shouldn't all crypto be backed by bitcoin ?

Nope! That will limit the innovation in crypto market and also make useless coins pricey for no reason. Gold reserve was abolished long long ago because it doesn't make sense! Similarly bitcoin standard in crypto market doesn't make sense!

Quote
How could a "Bitcoin Standard" emerge?  For example, if you could pay for food service etc everywhere with bitcoin, would that be enough to essentially drive bitcoin as a backing standard ?

Again no! Bitcoin is valuable because it is the pioneering cryptocurrency. People have already invested millions of dollars into mining infrastructure around the world. That's how bitcoin derive value. Paying bitcoin for food or regular item is not the only parameter to drive its price or its position as a standard.
