I think they should stop wire transfers. It's not fair to have some guy hold a place in line for that long. Plus we're here to support cryptos so cash seems like a relic. I did get in line for the Oct batch so we'll see if a 4th batch comes out for cancellations.

Thats bitmain for you. Scamming and taking peoples money.
Well actually it's not bitmain scamming but ibelink and innosilicon because they are over charging people when bitmain has one 1/4 price.

D3 will be released at the same time as the first batch of A5 and with the price of 1.6k. Does it still make sense for 10k price of A5?
I think you answered it yourself. Why pay 10k when antminers are 3.2k for similar hashrate before OC. Also, I'm hoping Innosilicon follows through with their numbers, but for some reason in the back of my head I remember they always show a very high hast rate which they never seem to get close to. Maybe this time is different, but I can't believe people paid 10k for that...

You guys are right the party is over. Please sell me your cheap gpus now. Please sell the gtx 1070 if possible.
Not really. I can't wait though if the gtx 1070 starts selling for anything less than $200, I'm going to start buying a bunch.
Try early spring of 2018 for that price. They simply bury the rx580 at zec. And. Take a look at zec market cap. Well under 1 billion or translation easy to pump it. Yeah you're right on that. I have some gtx 1070 rigs and I like that they are flexible. I can mine eth or zec and, and yes I really like ZEC since miners are doing that one.

Some people are selling, and prices have declined slightly, but I get the feeling we might see another zoom for the previous generation gpus once Vega hits. The reason is because I believe Vega won't be good for ethereum but probably more for Zcash or other types of coins. In addition, the prices might be too high considering its a brand new product as new products are always priced high. So the Rx 580 8gb might still be at these prices if we maintain these coin prices. If a correction occurs in the crypto market, it might be a rush to sell, but I still think people are willing to hold considering we know now the coins might be worth something in the future just like before.

I had Fedex and got my tracking for the May 5th miners, just wanted to let you guys know, don't believe the rumors .

I bought a few. Not that I have particularly high hopes for it - I'm pretty sure Bitmain will find a way to screw us, this is just a gamble on how soon that happens... I'm guessing they might keep profitability hopes alive until ~July.
I bough 1 piece only, deal seems good even difficulty is X2 within 2 months but I am not sure if difficulty X5 in 2-3 months I think we will see 5x difficulty because LTC retargets every 3-4 days on average. Plus don't forget all the units on hashnet they have available for contract are technically what they should be shipping out in may/june/july They can ship early if they choose to do so, but they won't. Just my 2 cents. Edit: At 500k difficulty you are making $230 [if LTC doesn't rise] and at 1Million you are making $115 before electricity cost. So goodluck essentially Bitmain has screwed all the miners again.. like always. [/quote] Deal is good now, I agree. The only thing I'm worried is that with release of these miners, litecoin price will go down like before. I used to have high hopes for segwit activation, but I'm now thinking price goes up but keeps going down from here out. Hopefully it won't be a slow death like last time. July people are really screwed no joke. The only way out is if everyone holds the litecoins they mine, but most people will not be doing that.

Can someone help me see the logic of using Hashnest? it doesn't seem like its 12 or 6months.. but it looks like it said the contract ends when the principal has been paid back in full to the buyer.. so if you sign up for the L3+ or whatever.. you stop getting value back once you get back what you paid for.. 0 net gain.. What am I missing?
Those are the pacmic contracts that work that way. Buying machines via hashnest, is just like buying them direct and having them shipped to a hosting facility. They continue to run until Maintenance Fee > Income (and to be fair bitmains fees are reasonable), whilst there may be some newer miners coming the huge gains in efficiency have already occurred so they should be profitable for a long time to come. The benefit is for people like me who live in countries with 20% import duties and very high electric, yes there are downsides like you can't point them to mine elsewhere, and you don't get the fees in the block rewards being the main 2, but then there are other positives like the ability to buy/sell all or part of your hashrate. So it will depend on your own circumstances if it's a good idea I checked but is there an issue with getting these?

Anyone in the April Batch get word of whats going on yet? They still having "firmware" issues even though they have already chipped out 1.5 TH worth of miners to their chinese pools?
Are you in April Batch? You didn't get shipping info? No I bought a few in the May batch, but the April guys should have been shipped out by now, since they are supposedly paying out daily till delivery. They have started shipping most out already.

Cut price in half. Then it will be competitive.

I saw on ebay someone already received and is selling an antminer l3+ on hand as an auction. It's weird how others are reporting they haven't received it yet.
What did you hear about the firmware issue?
If you check the other antminer threads, they are having a delay due to 'firmware' issues. It may or may not be true, but it's delaying the April Batch.
What did you hear about the firmware issue?
It's supposedly affecting April batch so it just delays them. I'm not sure if May will have issues.
I have one scheduled to be shipped the first part of May. I've had no notice of a firmware issue. Where do you get that information?
Oh okay, it sounded like you had it already. Nevermind.
Isn't the L3+ not being sent out due to firmware issue? How did you get one ;O.
