141  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Blockchain 'Insufficient Funds' Issue on: May 24, 2013, 04:43:25 PM
It is likely because address 1FNVVMrZzsRmCkngjm8pZvSCUDp76DbEHj has received a lot of very small transactions (Faucets?). You will need to send in smaller amounts.
142  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: lost 260 btc through blockchain shared wallet :( on: May 24, 2013, 03:15:26 PM
This issue was resolved with fly.
143  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: unconfirmed bitcoin transaction for 2 days on: May 24, 2013, 11:48:36 AM
The transaction is too large for a 0.0005 BTC fee. It is 17KB and the recommended fee is 0.0001 BTC per KB so a fee of about 0.0016 BTC would have been correct.

I think it will confirm but it could take 24 hours or more.
144  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just had 39.70 bitcoins stolen from blockchain account! on: May 24, 2013, 09:06:52 AM
Sorry to hear this OP. Unfortunately there has been a lot of this going around lately.

- I would not recommend adding an alias to your wallet which is the same username you use on other bitcoin sites or is easily guessable. If you previously had a wallet with a common alias and no 2FA authentication I would recommend to create a new wallet.

- don't re-use the same password on other sites.

- Enable two factor authentication.

- Use the browser extension if you can https://blockchain.info/wallet/browser-extension.

- For any significant amount print a paper wallet https://blockchain.info/wallet/paper-wallet-tutorial-web and keep the majority of funds offline.

I have PM'd you.
146  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info - Bitcoin Block explorer & Currency Statistics on: May 23, 2013, 07:42:49 PM
I wouldn't read too much into it, it is likely only one carrier. I'll switch china bound SMS messages to tropo as a workaround.
147  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info - Bitcoin Block explorer & Currency Statistics on: May 23, 2013, 09:25:30 AM
I can't get the latest Android app to sync with my wallet.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=210626.msg2212246#msg2212246

Everytime i want to login into my wallet and i enter my alias i get a "Authorize log-in attempt" message.

Email only states the attempt that i made few seconds ago...

It's annoying... can i turn this off?

If you login successfully once your browser should be remembered for up to 1 month, is this not happening? To avoid these messages you can use the direct link from the welcome email to login rather than using the alias but they cannot be disabled currently.

Interesting message from twilio this morning:

Quote
Hi Ben,

We got further information from our carrier confirming that business such as bitcoin is not a proper financial tool in China and the Authority may treat bitcoin as an illegal business. Unfortunately the China Telecom Authority has requested that all bit-coin traffic to China be blocked.

As the provider of the phone number, Twilio is responsible for assuring the carriers that no more traffic related to bitcoin will be sent to China. Therefore, I have removed your international SMS permission to China. Please do not turn this on or try sending SMS messages to mobile numbers in China. Doing so will very likely lead to immediate account suspension.

Again I'm sorry for the convenience. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
Thanks,
Twilio Customer Support

Not sure if this is the official state opinion. But as a consequence we can no longer send SMS messages to users in China.
148  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anyone having issues with Blockchain.info shared transactions ? on: May 21, 2013, 01:55:11 PM
Discussed with lollipierre via PM. The issue is the paying in transaction has not confirmed yet.
149  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info - Bitcoin Block explorer & Currency Statistics on: May 21, 2013, 01:21:36 PM
I was using the Blockchain iPhone App when I got this error.

Yep I had to disable the additional signature checks, until the iphone app is updated.

Is there a getrawtransaction api call that outputs the serialized transaction?

Sorry, there is no getrawtransaction call available currently.

Very frustrating.  Would be nice to have some sort of manual entry backup option.  Or even be able to "Create a new account" in the app as it says you can do, but there is no captcha displayed ergo there is no way to sign up for a new account to send money too....

Both of those options should be available. Are you definitely using the latest version https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=piuk.blockchain.android&feature=nav_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDNd?

Can anyone shed some light on how error handling is implemented in the blockchain API?
From our tests, it seems to return 200 OK and an HTML response, instead of returning the proper HTTP error code.

I have responded to the question on SE.

when trying to send btc I am getting the following error: ReferenceError: precisionFromBTC is not defined

Please clear you browsers cache.

Hm... looks like blockchain.info got a change... the size and fee is shown too now. But what i dont like is that unverified transactions arent shown anymore... I see them in my wallet, my alarmemail comes in but blockchain.info doesnt give me info. I checked the filter but it seems to be this way now.

Not quite sure what you mean. Unconfirmed transactions should always be displayed unless they are double spends.

New 4 node server going in tomorrow for dedicated backups and monitoring. Will bring the site up to 12 servers in total. https://i.imgur.com/Xjl0ezB.jpg
150  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Newest blockchain.info Android app not scanning codes on: May 20, 2013, 04:37:16 PM
I've just reflashed my phone and installed the blockchain wallet app.
When I got to scan in my account it just loads a blank camera screen instead of a scanning app like the old one did.
So then i tried to manually enter my account but it came up with "Pad Block Corrupted"

Does anyone know a fix/workaround for this?

What device and version of android are you using? "Pad Block Corrupted" usually means the password is wrong.
151  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Moving money between addreses results in incorrect amount? (Blockchain) on: May 19, 2013, 01:01:01 PM
Hi. I tried to transfer some BTC from one of my addresses to another on blockchain.info. I completed the custom form on the send money part and set it to 0.05 BTC. But on the review transaction screen it says:

"Please confirm you would like to move 0.9989 BTC between your own bitcoin addresses"

Why do much? Are they charging me lots of fees or something?

The 0.9989 BTC will include change. On the review transaction screen if you click show advanced you can see all the inputs and outputs which will be used.

You should see 0.05 BTC going to the intended address and 0.9489 BTC being returned back to you as change.
152  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: blockchain.info - can i add a transaction fee? on: May 18, 2013, 06:21:30 PM
Yeah this is a problem, especially with small payments. All transactions will now include a fee (paid by blockchain).
153  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Please help: Blockchain.info wallet keeps 'doublespending'? on: May 18, 2013, 10:34:05 AM
So now all my BTC is tied up in "Unconfirmed transaction" land and I can't spend any?

You probably received a double spend from someone else. what are the transaction hashes?
154  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info - Bitcoin Block explorer & Currency Statistics on: May 17, 2013, 06:29:16 PM
I tried a shared send transaction nearly 24 hours ago, and still nothing has come through my end.

Sorry about that, an error last night caused all funds to be unnecessarily swept into cold storage. This isn't a problem apart from it messed up some of the forwarding tables. Most payments should be clear now however if you are missing a payment please PM me or if you have received an extra payment and you are feeling honest please PM me. Some other changes as well:

- All forwarding transactions will now include fees covered by blockchain.
- There is now a minimum transaction size of 0.001 BTC. Payments will pool in the receiving address until that threshold is reached.
- Notifications should be faster.
- Improvements to shared send mixing.
155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: BlockChain is acting strange. on: May 17, 2013, 02:38:33 PM
Set &fee to 5430 satoshi, but now I get this:
The Maximum Very Small Outputs Exceeded (10)

I really want to send my faucet payments... As far as I know I have one huge chunck of 0.04736 BTC

Please try now.
156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: BlockChain is acting strange. on: May 17, 2013, 01:47:42 PM
My current transaction would be a total of 0.0033BTC without fee's. I could send that without a problem then?

If you include a fee yes. If you don't include a fee and outputs are less than 0.0000543 BTC you may receive errors.
157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: BlockChain is acting strange. on: May 17, 2013, 10:47:01 AM
Must have to do with the current limit blocking transactions smaller than 5240 satoshis.

Indeed. Someone is being a real PITA recently creating submitting 1000's of dust transactions from the Horse Battery Staple address (http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1ehixs/curious_blockchain_spam_with_correct_horse/).

I had to put some new rules in place to keep it under control. A single transaction can now:

1) Create a maximum of 10 outputs < 5430 satoshi.
2) Consume a maximum 50 inputs < 5430 satoshi.
3) You can submit a maximum of 3 transactions per 5 minutes which have all outputs less < 5430 satoshi.

Nothing important, just means an update was deployed.
159  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Reward for an easy to use double-spending via conflicting transactions utility on: May 16, 2013, 01:09:02 AM
Not command line but I think this should do the job:

* Use at your own risk
160  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: blockchain.info HTTP API support for CORS? on: May 15, 2013, 04:36:22 PM
You can now add a cors=true parameter to most requests if you need the header e.g.

http://blockchain.info/unspent?cors=true
