141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The long addresses are really annoying with all the letters and numbers... on: February 04, 2015, 08:13:11 AM
Addresses are not meant to be remembered. I think Satoshi expect us to copy and paste into emails and messages. Address shortening is nice, it can't be used if the address has no previous transactions.
142  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much is a LOT of BTC? on: February 04, 2015, 07:54:35 AM
1000btc is not a lot for retirement at current bitcoin price, 10000btc is about right. Don't rely on bitcoin for something as important as retirement. Price can go down as well as up.
143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin cash? on: February 03, 2015, 10:41:11 AM
Cash is notes and coins that you can buy things in a shop. Credit card does the same thing but is not cash. Bitcoin can be accepted everywhere but still is not cash.

145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is everyone so quiet? on: January 27, 2015, 10:39:49 AM
There is nothing new going on, and people are speculating. The will change when solid good news comes.

It is a big IF, and if it becomes major, when will that be?

This is motion detector, there is no image produced. Not much privacy is invaded.
150  Economy / Speculation / Re: what will be botton of btc ? on: January 20, 2015, 08:45:58 AM
You don't have to buy at the bottom, you can buy near the bottom and hold. If you want to time your purchase at the bottom, you will most likely miss it.
151  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is VPN enough to hide IP? on: January 18, 2015, 06:26:49 AM
Tor is good if you want to hide your IP she you browse website. If you want to do something more secure, like accessing a wallet, you need to consider a reputable VPN service, not some tor network nodes.
152  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is bitcoin anonymous? on: January 18, 2015, 06:00:50 AM
Bitcoin is not completely anonymous. You might be a nameless address when you transfer bitcoin. Once you want to exchange into fiat, you will loose anonymity. Most exchanges requires you to verify your account with proves of identity.
153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nobel Prize - Satoshi Nakamoto on: January 18, 2015, 05:51:31 AM
When bitcoin has mass adoption, or blockchain technology succeeds in another area, Satoshi will be awarded the Nobel prize for economics. This would be at least 5 years away.
154  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Best online wallet without fee? on: January 18, 2015, 05:16:23 AM

Choose one where you have control over your own coins and have good security.
155  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: If a country adopted bitcoin as their national currency, would the US still be a on: January 18, 2015, 05:09:35 AM
If another country declares bitcoin as their national currency, and the US recognises that country as a nation. The US will have to declare bitcoin as a foreign currency.
156  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: One vs Many Addresses on: January 17, 2015, 02:02:21 PM
I like to use one address for everyone. It's easy to monitor. I know this is not how Satoshi envisioned it, it is convenient.
157  Economy / Speculation / Re: All the people waiting for the next halving: Please explain on: January 15, 2015, 11:15:06 AM
Halving is not something we should be thinking about now. The current price seems to be the major issue. Halving means there are less new bitcoin created for every block, which means supply is constricted and less bitcoin dumping.
158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: why this transaction still unconfirmed ? on: January 15, 2015, 11:11:12 AM
Which poker site is this? Site is mean for not adding a fee to transactions. I think it will confirm at the end because it is not dust.

All you bears should be all over this one!

I am optimistic about bitcoin. Even I think $5k is pushing it. My hope is $500. Smiley
Best would be to bounce back to $200 and consolidate. Then slowly climb $20-$30 a month.
160  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitstamp good, as far as I can tell on: January 14, 2015, 09:55:05 AM
Totally agree with you. I think Bitstamp has done very well recovering confidence. They are only suspended for a few days and is up and running very quickly. But I also think it is too early to tell everything is back to where they were before.
