401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So Apple is letting Bitcoin back in. on: August 07, 2014, 08:47:12 PM
I don't think Apple is supporting bitcoin. As bitcoin is well known now, they don't want to be labeled the platform which does not allow bitcoin apps.
402  Economy / Services / Re: Eden Dice - Signature Campaign on: August 07, 2014, 08:39:40 PM
So if someone is ranked 11th and he will get nothing?
403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Retail adoption hurts bitcoin price it doesn't help it and here's why on: August 07, 2014, 08:37:01 PM
When more shops accepts bitcoin, more people will buy bitcoin to purchase from them. So what if those shops dump the coins for fiat? They will be bought right after by someone else to buy other things. Bitcoin is going around how it should be.
404  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Surface pro 2 and antminer s3 setup on: August 06, 2014, 07:08:25 AM
You surface usually gets the ip address and DNS from your wifi hotspot, and those settings allow you to access the internet. You don't need to change them at all for mining.
405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Adoption on: August 06, 2014, 05:20:27 AM
How many questions are there in total? I stopped when I am on question 10.
406  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How is XAPO getting away with this bull*hit?! on: August 05, 2014, 12:02:07 PM
If you are not happy with the fees, tell them about it and terminate the card. If there enough complaints, they may revise the fees. Thanks for the heads up, but I don't think they care about threads like these.
407  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: My new garage and 200 amps on: August 05, 2014, 10:42:23 AM
For the same power rating, doesn't 240v takes less current from the mains than 120v? So what is the reason to use a 120v mains ?
408  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-08-04] Irish Times - Bitcoin raises its profile but investors demand more on: August 04, 2014, 12:30:26 PM
Investors want devs to focus on tech side, I see nothing fundamentally wrong with that.
409  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What service can send an email when a bitcoin payment received? on: August 01, 2014, 08:14:47 AM
Yes, use blockchain.info wallet. Import a few addresses you want to watch as "read only", by importing the address and not the private key. Then enable notifications via email.
410  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: The blockchain breaks the privacy laws (?) on: August 01, 2014, 05:14:59 AM
Transactions are just moving numbers from an address to another. No names or addresses disclosed, how does it violate privacy laws?
411  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Newb Miner Looking For Help on: August 01, 2014, 05:11:20 AM
Are there windows drivers for your asic? Have you installed them yet?
412  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wikipedia cashed out their BTC donations and price sunk on: August 01, 2014, 05:07:03 AM
How much donations did they get? I think their donations are too little compared to the daily volume. I do not think they will have much impact on the price.

414  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CNN Bitcoin Documentary Coming this Fall - Inside man - Morgan Spurlock! on: July 30, 2014, 08:03:59 AM
Doesn't matter the documentary bring good or bad news, as long as it is true. More publicity for bitcoin is good. Let the users decide themselves. There are so many large corporations accepting bitcoin, there is limited damage the documentary can do.
415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do I use bitcoin if I have no internet? on: July 29, 2014, 09:18:58 AM
If the internet goes down, bitcoin is the least of your worries. Email, news, global trades, global phone networks will cease, people would panic. Personal safety and food would be your priorities. Who would care about bitcoin?
416  Economy / Speculation / Re: At what price are you going to cash out your BTC stash on: July 29, 2014, 07:58:19 AM
Cash out completely? Probably never. But I will sell half around $2000, and buy them back when it drops back down to $1500.
417  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Anyone following the ebola outbreak? on: July 29, 2014, 07:54:07 AM
I saw it on the news. It looks pretty bad. It causes internal bleeding, death rate is extremely high.

The film "outbreak" years ago was inspired by this "ebola" virus.
418  Other / Off-topic / Re: Antivirus Software Isn't Very Secure, Researchers Find on: July 29, 2014, 07:44:43 AM
Antivirus is 100% fool proof. We all know that. Viruses and malware evolve everyday, it is unreasonable to assume it can detect every new string of virus. The best security is yourself: Don't click and open every link you see.
419  Other / Archival / Re: Watch me strip = take off my clothes. See me in Bikini on: July 28, 2014, 11:13:38 AM
Look at the username, this is a different Monica80. Nice try OP, negative trust is coming your way.
