61  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin solo mining with cpu on: April 14, 2015, 10:33:28 AM
Are you sure you want to do Solo Mining? Why don't you just mining in a Pool? It will be more effective I think.

A cpu is too insignificant to mine anything in a pool. Better to gamble and mine solo.
But, which one will be more profitable? Pool or Solo?

Mining in a pool is a sure loss because of electricity cost. Mining solo is also losing money but has astronomically low chance to find a block of 25 btc

65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would you convince a newbie to use BTC? on: March 30, 2015, 11:43:14 AM
The best way to introduce bitcoin to a newbie is to setup a wallet on their phone and send them some btc over a meal. You cannot convince anyone to use bitcoin without them having some bitcoin to play around with.

i don't know, this will tech away the notion about how bitcoin work and what it reeally is, in this way you are just giving away money, they ask for more in the end without care too much about how bitcoin really work, you will distract them more i think...

I get you. I want to introduce them to the blockchain and mining too. Those are too heavy for newbies. Similar to internet was first used, you introduce newbies to email and webpages, not explain how IP address works.
66  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: California makes Bitcoin Legal Tender on: March 30, 2015, 10:10:22 AM
The bill enables businesses to accept currencies other than US dollars as payment. This includes foreign currencies and cryptos. This is not legal tender. Legal tender means shops are legally required to accept other currencies. This is not the case.

69  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Multi-signature: what it is and a list of services on: March 30, 2015, 09:47:13 AM
Multi-sig is more of a developer feature than a user feature. It is nice to know what multi-sig can do  in smart contracts. A less complex single-sig client is sufficient for average users.
70  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Evolution affecting bitcoin? on: March 30, 2015, 09:35:25 AM
Evolution is gone and the market expects a dump of the stolen coins, but it didn't happen. The market is dropped and bounced back up. Evolution is affecting bitcoin price, no doubt. It will not take long for Evolution 2.0 and Silk Road 3.0 to rise and they will affect the price the same way. Do not attempt to predict trend based on these darkmarkets.
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Replace by Fee" Article by Mike Hearn (Very important topic for Bitcoiners) on: March 29, 2015, 03:54:54 PM
Replace by fee makes double spending easier, no one will support this change. The child pays for parent proposal is good, can help with speed up feeless transactions.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did Satoshi managed to stay anonymous? on: March 29, 2015, 09:51:41 AM
It is not difficult to remain anonymous on this forum if Theymos keeps our IP addresses secret. It is easy if Satoshi wanted to keep himself anonymous right from the beginning.
73  Economy / Economics / Re: What if US Dollar Crashes? on: March 29, 2015, 09:08:43 AM
US dollar crashes, the rest of the world will follow. It all cancels out and like nothing happened. Everyone buys gold and bitcoin gains nothing.
74  Economy / Economics / Re: Supply vs price : BITCOIN on: March 29, 2015, 08:48:34 AM
Supply of bitcoin is the total amount of bitcoin mined less the lost coins. The rate of increase of bitcoin supply is the bitcoin mined everyday.

By your theory, we must destroy an amount equal to daily mined bitcoin to keep bitcoin price the same. This is very wrong. We need to increase demand, limit supply will not work.

You can buy a high activity senior account with that amount and wait 2 to 3 months posting occasionally.
76  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is it safe to keep your coins in Bitstamp? on: March 27, 2015, 10:46:35 AM
It is not safe to leave any amount of coins on an exchange. Hackers target them, owners and run off with the money, disaing withdraw unannounced... all sorts of unpredictable events. Complete your transaction and withdraw whenever possible.

You need another font style. The word "water" needs a more rounded font.
78  Economy / Goods / Re: WTB mobile phone for 0.25BTC on: March 27, 2015, 07:52:16 AM
Many people have old smart phones lying around and wouldn't mind selling it. The problem is shipping to Pakistan. Probably half of the 0.25btc will go into shipping.
79  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: where you get bitcoin every day? on: March 26, 2015, 11:05:09 AM
You might be able to get 0.01btc everyday with a trading bot and you need to be good analysing trends. You need capital too. If you do not want to invest any capital but still want 0.01btc per day, I think you are expecting too much. There is no free lunch.
80  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [03-25-2015] Titanium Comics – World’s First Comic Book Publisher To Accept Bitc on: March 26, 2015, 10:59:32 AM
Good publicity, not very constructive for bitcoin. They are using BitPay (again). I wish stores could have a little more faith in bitcoin and hold them longer.
