141  Economy / Economics / Re: Real estate vs cryptocurrencies vs business on: August 12, 2023, 08:40:53 PM
if I have a lot of money, of course the real estate sector is the main choice for investing, on the other hand by owning property we can also rent it out, so it is safe to invest and generate passive income. the second is that cryptocurrency has a greater risk because of its fluctuations, but if we know how to handle it, of course it will be profitable, but we can't take it every time we want, because we have to consider the market that is happening. while in the business world we must know it in detail, because if not it will be useless considering the capital we spend
I think you should go for business first because this is the one that demands more money. You need staffs, you need to pay for the maintenance, and others. While in real estate you only need some capital and the rest will work passively. Same goes to cryptos but this one is more affordable than the two. Cryptos are decentralized. You own your assets so you have the rights to sell them if you need money.

You shouldn't wait for the market to go up before you sell because it could take a long time and you will be in trouble if you don't settle the money right away for your urgent needs. In business or on others, it's okay to fail. We can still learn and improve next time.
142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering - share your opinion on: August 12, 2023, 08:06:20 PM
Wagering in casinos for the sake of bonuses is indeed, without a doubt, an engaging and sometimes profitable endeavor; it is, after all, an activity. But it can be risky. Tips for wagering? Its not advisable to bet more than you can lose, even though wagering isnt about losing or winning, except when it is. Its wise to read the rules and make sense of them, or not, depending on your understanding of the game.

The rank of your account may or may not improve with wagering. There might be a connection there or there might not be
It can only be profitable if we are lucky because we can get a double win ( from our main game and then in the bonus ) but we shouldn't have a mindset like this at all times because not all times we are lucky and we can end up returning the money that we win last time, if we haven't spend them all yet. Gambling is a form of activity but only risky as the house has more advantage than us.

Your wagering tip is good but if I can add more, that is play on a very low odd game with a little higher bet. You can't get a nice win in here but it's much faster and safer to wager this way. Wagering can be both for losing and winning. We lose money but at the same time it increase our VIP bar and get an exciting rewards later on.
143  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Passive income with crypto on: August 12, 2023, 07:28:36 PM
Mining, but that requires a lot of capital to build a mining rig. Don't Cloud mining is a scam.
Staking, you can try on the coins available for staking.
Trading, this is the most likely for you with day trading and can master it can be your passive income.
Opening a service if you have the skills.
This would be a very tough one. Not only you need a lot of money to do it, which would be easy to get if you are already rich so you could just use that to get the rig, but even if you are rich, you would have to realize that you either have to know a lot about rigs and hardware in order to fix any issues and understand coding just enough to make them work, which is not very little, usually they run on linux if you want them to be optimized but could run on anything really.

So all in all you need to know that, or hire someone who does, and then you are taking a big risk of anything going wrong. All these combined results with the fact that you are not going to make all that much money, the result won't be that good.
144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A weird belief among some gamblers. on: August 12, 2023, 06:32:34 PM
Every gambler has their own belief at times. Others may find it strange, but it is not for them. What that guy did is comparable to what I've heard about psychology: don't tell people about your plan since the more you tell others about it, the less likely it is to happen. That individual might be thinking that if anyone sees his bet, it would put a jinx on him. That sort of thing. Gamblers are also superstitious because gambling is always, if not most of the time, based on luck.
If you are engaged in an activity that requires luck for being successful, it doesn't provide you an excuse to be superstitious. I mean, you can be, it's your right, no one should be judging you for what you believe, but being superstitious can become problematic, and it surely never helps. Don't do that to yourself.
Even if the activity requires luck, some of us are still superstitious. For example, when we watch a sport game, we can see that a player prays first or do other things/gestures. Some of it may not be familiar to us but they do that because they think it helps them to win and reach their current position.

If being superstitious can cause us to be problematic then we won't do that again or we will move on to other superstitious belief that has less draw backs. Being problematic can mean that we will be disappointed because we don't win but even without a superstitious belief, losing is still possible and we still can get disappointed. If we can't handle it then it's better to just stop doing the activity.
145  Economy / Speculation / Re: Volatility and its effect on: August 12, 2023, 02:09:46 PM
It is good to learn if Wednesday is the most volatile and Saturday is the least. I bet that it has something to do with the fact that we are back at work and just underway already for a while so we look at other things, on Mondays and a bit on Tuesdays we are handling that weeks new stuff, and on Wednesday we do not have that much job but still at work so we trade a lot, and on Saturdays we are out, it's the weekend and we are going out so we do not trade and instead just go have some fun.

This is why it's quite important to do something that will benefit us the most. I believe that it can be done a lot better and we should be considering it a lot bigger and better in the end. I get that it's not that great but it can be done.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $20,000 to invest in any Altcoins of your choice? on: August 11, 2023, 08:40:26 PM
Can you please help with any Altcoins that coins that someone can invest on in this particular time.
Ethereum is the right choice of altcoin to be used as an investment, because I believe the price of Ethereum will definitely increase very high when a bullrun occurs, so you will get a lot of profit from investing and holding Ethereum at this time and selling it when the bullrun occurs, so don't let it you missed the current opportunity to buy Ethereum before the bullrun occurs.
I do agree that getting ETH would be a good idea, it is going to be something that we care about because it is the second biggest coin and when the bull run starts we are going to end up with a result where a lot of the new hyped tokens will be ERC20* again, everyone keeps saying that there are alternatives to it now but the alternatives will not be as good as the original and that is why we are going to end up with ETH being the second biggest one again and because it is a bull run the price will go up a lot.

We will surely be bigger than what it is today, I would say 5k is possible and 10k is not impossible neither. People should aim at that if possible, the result will be something good I bet and should be profitable.
147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My new favorite betting method. on: August 11, 2023, 08:21:32 PM
I know, in the example looks like a lot of money to bet, but now think about starting from 0.00000002 BTC or better known as 2 satoshis, with increments of 1 satoshi, you can be betting in the long run with 0.001 btc.

To do this I hire a guy to make a betting bot for a casino, and is looking good, is really hard to find a losing run with it.

So, what do you think about this betting method, Has someone tried it in the past?
I think this is some variation of a martingale strategy because there is progression. The only difference of it is that the multiplier is also progressing but on a normal martingale, usually, it was only the bet is progressing but it can be stopped once a certain win is achieved and the base bet will return to normal again.

It seems you are serious about your project here because you said you hire a developer to create a bot for you but there are already existing bots out there like Mydicebot and Seunjie's Dicebot. You can use them for free or you can also ask someone to create a script for you using the strategy that you formulated there.
148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 11, 2023, 07:48:41 PM
He can get another chance. He shouldn't have gone to Taiwan imo.
You can't blame him; he saw an opportunity overseas, so he grabbed that opportunity. However, with the recent news that his salary will be cut a bit, I guess he might be interested in playing with the NBA again. Let's hope that there's a team that would pick him up.

He is already 37 years old, not young anymore, but he can still play. With his experience and confidence, I'm sure he will be a big help. All we can do now is wait for the developments. Let's follow Howard's journey; who knows, he might end up with the Lakers again.
Howard could have helped maybe 3 years ago, that was then, by the time this season comes to an end, that will be 4 years ago, and Howard still managing to lockdown Jokic will not be possible. While Howard got old and became someone who is not even in the NBA anymore, Jokic became a player that was even better and double MVP back to back, plus I think they gave it Embiid this year because he should have won one and Jokic already got 2 anyway, I wouldn't put Jokic behimd Embiid this year if you ask me.

This is why I think it's clear to say that we are not going to end up with Howard vs Jokic matchup, that would be terrible. However, AD is not bad on defense and if you put AD on Jokic all game long I bet he can do some damage control.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can I understand meme coin good or bad position? on: August 10, 2023, 05:53:02 PM
Yes memecoins has no dedicated use case but they are a hot trend on crypto at the moment. People love something new and unique, though some copy projects too have faired well like Shiba Inu. The basics comes down to the advertisement and size of the community. Both of which would bring more talks and potential buyers. For the meme coin to be successful, it should be able to engage the community around it for a long time. Though I missed PEPE, I'm already into Pepemo.
It is true that meme coins once in a while get the spotlight and that is when we see those coins giving huge profits, but this is so sudden and so unpredictable that no strategy can be made to take advantage of it.

The only ones which can do so are the ones that are interested in those coins and invest in them all the time, but this has the drawback that other than during the time there is a huge hype around those coins the rest of the time the performance of those coins is dismal, and if that is the case then making money with them is a huge challenge unless you happen to select the right meme coin and invest in it when it was cheap.
Maybe if we can apply the strategy that we did on our previous investment we can also benefit from these meme coins? Strategies like researching and entering too early if you think that meme coin is unique and different from the others.

Yes, you heard it right. Even the meme coins can upgrade too. Some of them are trying to develop something useful apart from the usual money grab. Other crypto has their own drawback too. If there is a bear market, no strong crypto can withstand its effect but this was only for temporary. When there is a bull run they can still recover what they have lost and they can become stronger than ever.
150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This is not Practical on: August 10, 2023, 04:30:20 PM
I have heard the advice that you should only use money you can afford to lose for gambling. I say that this is more theoretical than practical. Literally no one has money that they can afford to lose. I feel that money for gambling is a matter of opportunity cost. You either use the money for gambling or use it to meet a need. If using money one can afford to lose were practical there will be no need for articles on having a gambling budget or bank roll management. Hey gamblers my question is to you now is, the money you currently plan to use for gambling is it money that you can afford to lose?
No one will want to lose any amount of money that quickly, as we are all aware. But if I may state, what they mean by "money someone can afford to lose" is money that when someone loses it, it does not effect them as much. For instance, if you have $100,000 in your account, losing simply $50 to $100 may not hurt you as much as losing something like $50,000. As a result, I also think that if someone uses 1% of their funds to gamble, they won't be as concerned even if they lose. As for me, I still think it's wise to only gamble with money you can afford to lose since I know that even if I lose a little, I won't be broke.
If they do, they will only bet tiny amounts just to last long enough or they will only play using the demo mode of the game. Some people can still enjoy gambling this way. They think that money is too precious because it is so hard to earn it so even the tiny amounts of it must be spent properly. Like you I also play using the amounts I can afford to lose but sometimes I can't help but to deeply think of these losses.

There is still a regret that I feel but at the same time, I won't force my self to completely stop gambling. Playing using demo mode won't also work well on me. I think it's only on me. Maybe I have other mental issue but I'm looking forward on curing it.
151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: August 10, 2023, 02:46:34 PM
Personal milestones are never bigger than team objectives. Hardik did the right thing. If Tilak wanted to reach the 50, then he should have kept strike. Why should Hardik risk a win for his team, so that Tilak is able to reach his half-century? Anyway, now the series shifts to USA. Remaining two matches will be played at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Lauderhill. I never understand ICC's and BCCI's passion with USA. Even after two decades of failed efforts, they still believe that cricket will become popular in that country.

BTW, the useless T20I series between New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates starts next week, with the first match being played on 17th August. Teams like New Zealand never plays any matches against associate nations like Nepal and Netherlands. UAE is special, since they have a lot of petro-dollars.
From your opinion, I am feeling it's biased because we need to encourage these big for playing against these associates which is important for the increase of quality and also these associates need experience as well which will helps them for the long run, and it's all ICC duty to create opportunities for these all teams on same level just not for the UAE as they are special here if they have better mind then surely a three teams tourney is also going to be good for them with having team like the Netherlands or Nepal, but they are not working on things like these and just giving opportunity to the UAE which is already having many luxuries like adopted players and not suitable domestic infrastructure as well.
152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ADVICE]Boy Wins $46k from Sports Bet but Can't Tell Strict Religious Parents... on: August 09, 2023, 08:56:43 PM
I find that only poor people have parents who are very religious and strict. If this boy's father was rich, they wouldn't care if their son won or lost and the boy wouldn't be scared of them. They say it is better to say sorry than to ask for permission. If I were the boy, I will tell my parents in 2 to 3 years. For now what I'd do is to try and create a fake employment letter. At the end of each month, I bring home some money like salary and help the family out financially while I wisely invest the rest. By the time they find out or I tell them , I would have been of age to move out of the house and be independent. So, tell them the truth but not the whole truth.
Course not but actually many rich are strict and then religious. This might also be the reason on why they became rich. Rich people do also care about the money even on its smallest form. Asking for permission before doing any thing is I think still better but we may not do it because we think our parents are going to be against with what we are planning so we ended up apologizing.

It may take some time but they will still forgive us soon because they love us. You said you are not yet on the right age? So how will they believe that you got employed? Maybe you need to think of a better alibi than this one or just tell them what exactly happened to make things easier for you.
153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A person who won 600k$ in lottery on: August 09, 2023, 08:08:14 PM
Every person have it way of achieving success, if I should be opportune to win such I know that it will go a long way for me, the thing is that my first investment will go to real estate management, I will buy a large land and start development by building houses that have different apartments for rent and secondly after I have achieved the real estate management investment I will invest some part of the money into cryptocurrency and mostly the coin that have potential not ordinary altcoins that will lose value everyday
You can say that if you are already doing great now on handling your money but a change might still happen because we are talking about huge amounts here. Even if you are not a big winner like the guy in the story, it is still possible for you to invest in a real estate. I think there are also flexible terms when it comes to it if you are only a small earner. Another great investment is cryptos.

The good thing about them is that a small money will do well here. You can always prioritize cryptos and once you earn huge on them, that should be the time for you to add a real estate investment. We should only treat gambling as a way to entertain ourselves because winning on them is not guaranteed.
154  Economy / Economics / Re: what do we thinking about investment target? on: August 09, 2023, 06:08:18 PM
Now it comes to fixed deposit, real estate, stock market, mutual fund, gold investment, any subject we can proceed with the investment target.
It is a harsh reality that inflation is steadily eroding the value of our assets overtime. To effectively mitigate the impact of inflation, a prudent strategy could be to build a well diversified portfolio, that encompasses mix of low and high risk assets. This diversified approach should include real estate, stocks, Gold and Bitcoin. In my personnel perspective, Bitcoin has the potential to be most effective hedge against inflation and market fluctuations, in the long term.
I think investing in an asset is helpful against the inflation. That is because an asset are growing in price over time. And if there is something that mitigates building a well diversfied portfolio, that would be the risk of investing. I think it's also possible to just diversify in one asset category like for example in cryptos.

We can invest in Bitcoin at one point and then Ethereum on the other. These old coins must be the lower-risk assets but the higher risks assets are the newer coins. Bitcoin is known like that to be a good hedge against inflation. I think that is because of its limited supply but it's not a hedge against the market fluctuation because Bitcoin itself is also a highly volatile currency.
155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lets Discuss All Casino/Gambling Related Movies Here on: August 08, 2023, 08:04:32 PM
I don't know much about gambling movies. But before, there were newer gambling movies, I've seen the God of the Gambler movie, but I forgot which one because there are several movies about the God of the Gambler. I only know that there is Chow Yun Fat, the main star of that film.

In the meantime, I did a bit of a search on gambling movies and found several lists of sites with movies about gambling. I have never watched many of these films, but maybe my friends here have seen those films.
Oh the good ol' God Of gamblers. I have heard of it before and I think I also saw some clips of it but I haven't finished the whole movie because we don't have our own VCD that time. It was our neighbor who has a good liking about this movie because she was also a gambler. I always saw her playing card games along with our other neighbors. When I was a kid, I also heard about Casino Royale. I think it was played by James Bond.

This one seems related to gambling as well. Anyway, the links you provide there can help someone who wants to check out a good gambling film apart from God Of Gamblers and Casino Royale, so there is no need for you to apologize.
156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do wager affect outcomes in any provably fair games on: August 08, 2023, 05:59:00 PM
I noticed that when I start to play games like keno, limbo, dice, etc. First some bets don't hit and after wagering some percentage of my balance it starts to hit,
How it works? like when we wager we have more probability to hit win, anyone noticed this? Do you know how it works and what is the calculation behind it?, do server sends outcomes by checking our wager?
When we bet we are wagering. I think you mean is when we wager for a long time. Well, I notice it and a lot of gamblers. This is why they are starting to bet small only or they don't put any real money at all. We think it's like an oven that it needs to be preheated first in order for it to perform effectively. There are still times that we can get lucky early and hit some nice wins and then the later runs are going to be full of losses. We only need to feel our game properly. We need to have good instinct in short but it will only be developed to us the longer we play gambling. There are still no real evidence from what I said above. I think gambling still works randomly.
157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Collective bets in local lotteries on: August 08, 2023, 02:14:49 PM
It's a good idea to pool the money together as a group. But the problem is how the tickets are distributed and if one person wins, won't the others feel jealous? Or will the winnings be divided according to the number of people in the group?

Maybe it can be tried but we have to ensure who can be in that group. We could choose our close friends to be a group so there is no jealousy or other feelings.
I think the tickets are only given to one person so obviously that person can only win but don't worry because the prizes will still be distributed equally to the people who participate on the idea. It's fine if other participants are not your close friends but we must only ensure that the organizer of this event is a trusted person and already has a record of doing it.

Overall, I think this is an interesting way to play the lottery and we are defying odds here. The only downside maybe is that the prize that we can get are much lower because there are other people who will also take their share but for me it isn't a problem. That is better than just losing money at all times.
158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Legality of Online Gambling in Different Countries on: August 08, 2023, 12:59:33 PM
there are still many people who already know that gambling is prohibited in their country. They still try to gamble online and even use VPNs to bypass restrictions from their country. And even if they find a reputable casino, they should also ensure that it allows their users to use a VPN. Otherwise, that user will only get into trouble from his casino. But maybe there are still people who can play gambling in peace, even though they come from countries where gambling is prohibited and also use VPNs to gamble in online casinos.
No, you can't be in peace if you are gambling from illegal countries. There is still a thought of what if you got caught? What will be the consequences of it? But, I am sure it's going to be tough. So, if I were you guys who are planning to gamble illegally, it's better to not do it.

There might still be other ways to entertain your self but if you can afford to travel in other countries, this might be a good idea to gamble there legally. I know some reputable online casinos that allows VPN but I think its this is only for the countries who are not on their restricted list. VPN still has a benefit and that is it can speed up a slow connection. It can as well enhance our privacy.
159  Economy / Economics / Re: What could Elon Musk be buying next? on: August 08, 2023, 06:49:33 AM
Basically, it is difficult for us to know about Elon Musk's purchasing plans this year. Such individual investment policies and purchasing plans are often not announced or known for certain in advance. Elon Musk is well known for making innovative and sometimes unexpected investment decisions. However, given Elon Musk's past buying history and interest, it is likely that his major purchases this year include investments in renewable energy, expansion into other transportation sectors, expansions in artificial intelligence and robotics technology, and space exploration research and development.
Elon is a very difficult man to predict when it comes to purchasing assets and for some time now he has been kind of quiet with assets been he is seriously focusing on his space x project after bragging about building a hotel on Mars, let us keep waiting and see how the project goes, and I love Elon creativity how he uses the information to solve a problem, and in the case of solving a problem the man is making money, and going into renewable energy not also benefits the entire environment and linked to human health talk about tesla, it a real problem solver so let us all wait and see what he comes up with.
He is not an easy man to predict about anything at all. I mean him buying twitter alone was unpredictable, even he realized he was making a mistake after a while but he decided to go with it anyway, which resulted with him doing it by force because of court ruling. In the end he got it and turned it into a horrible place.

So, the fact that we may not know what he might buy or promote next is normal, because we wouldn't know, since he probably doesn't even know it himself right now. He liked doge for a while, and not really a long time neither, and that resulted with him promoting it and yet not really making it go that high himself, people saw his tweets and bought because of it for some reason, not a good reason to buy a coin if you ask me.
160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: August 06, 2023, 08:05:00 PM
Deepak Chahar looked promising in white ball cricket but after his injury, he kinda gave up internationals and focused on IPL only.
Deepak Chahar and Shardul Thakur are bowlers who can be decent with the bat. I would still refrain from calling them as allrounders. They lack consistency with the bat. I would consider Hardik Pandya as a genuine allrounder. He is more or less consistent with both the departments nowadays. BTW, I don't know whether Deepak will be able to stay free from injury for a long time. His story is similar to that of Jasprit Bumrah, but the difference is that injury resulted in his career getting destroyed even before it got started.
BCCI doing too much but one thing is still not going into their favor as they are not going for the seam wickets which are also important because you can't go always with spinners you have to manage something for the seam bowlers and seam bowling all-rounders as well which are important like we can watch in England and Australia few years back we have good craze about this when Kapil Dev, and then we have Madan Lal and Manoj Prabhakar but then suddenly all wipe out, and we are losing this all just because of spinners friendly pitches which are helping mostly at home and countries like West Indies never helpful in SENA countries.

Sri Lanka and Pakistan still have this luxury, but sadly we never try in this way and have seam bowling all-rounders which bring good results in all conditions we can rely on them in SENA countries as well.
