141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin will remain the greatest crypto currency in the world. on: April 18, 2024, 02:29:13 AM
...
What are your thoughts do you believe BTC will remain the greatest crypto currency in the world.
Maybe just for now because nothing new has been created aside from these altcoins. But we have this confidence and trust that Bitcoin is the digital gold and the best creation among digital currencies. We can say that the slow adaption makes Bitcoin not known to everyone but as this continues, everyone could enjoy the benefits it has.
Rich and poor will soon get involved in the crypto investment and daily trade, making this another source of income. We may not see its huge impact in life because only a few have offered services accepting this as a mode of payment.
142  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Price action strategies on TRADING on: April 18, 2024, 01:33:18 AM
The charts show that in every pump, there is a dump next. Therefore, don't buy any coins during the hype but rather wait to calm down. Buy low, not buy high. Chart analysis is very important in trading and this is what I told in my thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5492766.0, this is a stressful job that some people can dear to do all the time.

Trading is tricky and we need to analyze the market trend before making the next move as this is not just hoping for luck but it is an application of our analysis. The more we spend on the market, the better but yes, if we are doing this always, that is certainly not healthy anymore. In fact, it is not just the chart we looked at but so many factors to check.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin halving, historical price surges to follow? on: April 17, 2024, 09:54:42 PM
Perhaps, this is what we expect as this is also what happened in the past halving.
In fact, people become excited when halving is coming and they buy more coins as they believe that there is a magical thing happening in the market that makes it more profitable. We can't say the situation is a copy of the past but for the past halving and based on my experience, prices went too high during the bull season and even shitcoins.

Bitcoin halving is undeniably creating a huge impact in the market increasing demand and traders becoming too active. Our assumption isn't wrong as the surge really gonna happen during halving -- Bitcoin and altcoins.
144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: April 17, 2024, 12:49:32 PM
And that's a lot of pressure on Inoue if he is being compared to the great Manny Pacquiao

---
https://www.givemesport.com/1708831-naoya-inoue-compared-to-manny-pacquiao-ahead-of-michael-dasmarinas-title-fight/

But I think Inoue is holding his own ground at this point, and he is still undefeated and cleaning up the divisions that he dominated. So there is no comparison whatsoever as Manny is a wrecking crew, going as high as he can.

Nery could be just another test on how great Inoue is, he could adjust in the game itself like in the Fulton and Tapales fight and I think that's what makes Inoue great. The ability to adapt if their plans are not working. And so we appreciate his body of work again and again, and I don't know what kind of strategy Nery will used here to beat Naoya because Inoue is always one step ahead of his opponent.

It cant really be avoided for Inoue to be compared to Manny Pacquiao, if we do tend to recall about their meet ups and some prescon about some slight boxing tips and other things then you could really see
that Pacquiao is really that interested into this fighter on which fans would really be trying out to compare their idol into those legendary like Pacquiao. Actually its not really that too far off and if Inoue would really be
taking up on the same step or path he would be taking then no doubt that he would be able to obtain it but basing up on how fast or often his fights been arranged then he would definitely be needing to
fast pace up a bit in climbing up different weight divisions if he wanted to beat up the record.

The right thing to do, make it faster in moving up as time is his enemy here. While he is still on his prime, he should be taking big fights but to make it happen in Japen, that's unlikely. I like to see Inoue fighting Tank Davis,  if he beat Davis, that would put his name at the top and will be recognize as probably the best now. I hope he will take if that opportunity will open up, I know he can because I believe he is quicker and more powerful than Davis, but provided he will be able to carry his power when moving up.
145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: April 17, 2024, 11:57:44 AM
Now, if he really coming back not in PBA but in MPBL I guess it will be a good venue for him to prove his worth, if he can dominate and make a noise on his new found home.

It will remain a rumor until we saw him playing with MPBL. Actually, if Ginebra would sign him again, that woudl help the team as Greg is the only one who can limit the production of JMF, I saw their rivals before during the prime of JMF, and he is really limited when playing against Greg.

Maybe Greg doesn't like to go back in Ginebra, but he can be useful with other teams, like the TNT where there's no legit big man.

Of course, that was back then. Maybe if C. Stand and Greg will be playing together, the inside will be hard to attack for the Gin Kings. Honestly, I just don't like the current big man of Ginebra now, they can play Japeth as the center but he isn't that big and JMF could easily move him and fish some foul,  even C.  Stand to be honest.

By the way, the first game was over and ROS have won the game. Belga had a great game with 28 points, he turned the clock back, never seen him scored like that in the past few years.

146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't Altcoin a distraction to Bitcoin adoption? on: April 17, 2024, 10:14:10 AM
It was not the altcoin or Bitcoin but what makes the adoption slower than what we expect is that many are still innocent and uneducated. We can't urge people to adopt when in the first place, they don't have the right knowledge about cryptocurrency in general. We can't influence them to use crypto when they don't know how to use them. In fact, even just a simple investing (buy and sell), they still commit mistakes and fall into scammers.

That is why adoption will take time to develop because trust can't be instantly acquired when doubts and innocence are in our minds.
147  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is not a lifetime job. on: April 16, 2024, 10:11:32 PM
It is not retirement that I say why this is not a lifetime but traders make the decision to stop trading before that.
We could reach a time when we don't think about earning money anymore but rather make ourselves enjoy the time until the last breath of our life.

I disagree, in fact its one of the most "lifetime" jobs out there. In most cases lifetime job means that you have a job that you do until you retire and then you retire, there are not that many jobs in the world where you od not retire at all, financially if you can retire then you retire as soon as possible, in my nation retirement is something you get to do with the help of the government as well. So all in all, most jobs are not "life" time jobs, its until you retire. On the other hand if we are talking about trading, that could be lifetime, as long as you have a capital to trade, then that means you could be trading even at 90 years old, look at Warren BUffet, dude is 100 years old and still trading.
Well, he could still be in trading or anyone in old age but I don't think they are very active in trading like usual traders did that only focus on doing this rather than a side hustle. We can feel the stress when all our time is spent trading, so different from those who just spend their time when have free time as for sure they could stay longer but doesn't mean they can be forever doing this.

Trading is not just having capital but also, having good mental health as this will affect the results of trades unless we don't care about losing our money.
148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: April 16, 2024, 01:42:05 PM
Even these pba players could transfer to MPBL once they are out of contract, but I think they'll never surpass the PBA in terms of salary as the team owners of the top teams are billionaires.
They are still in demand as they came from PBA, there are already a lot of ex PBA players that are in MPBL and they are making names in the league. Now, the star players in the PBA are just enjoying, but this MPBL league is another way to still have a career after PBA. I think Marc Pingris although retired from PBA are still being active in basketball and are playing with MPBL.

By the way, tomorrow 2 games again.
ROS vs Northport
Hotshots vs Bossing.

Top teams are starting to win now, on the 2nd game I'm betting on the Hotshots, but on the first game, it's hard to decide but I'll likely bet on the ROS.
149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 16, 2024, 01:01:56 PM
[...]
There are speculations that they might purposely tank in this game to avoid the Nuggets, but I think there's no basis on that because the Lakers wants to be a champion and they'll face any team that will be match with them,  even if that team swept them in the WCF last season.
Tanking and playing a do or die game to avoid the Nuggets just doesn't make any sense. Those who agree with that probably watched too many conspiracy theories hehe. Securing a playoff spot as early as possible over facing the risk of elimination should be a common sense.

Yeah, I don't think the Lakers would give this game away to the Pelicans, as the teams below them are the teams that just beat them in the season. The Kings swept them and the Warriors are 3-1 against them as well, so nah they are not taking any risk of missing the playoffs spot.
Just like what I've said before, I want to see the Lakers play against the Nuggets one more time. This time it's gonna be in the first round. If the Lakers gets swept again this time, I will now consider the Nuggets and Jokic is the Lakers' daddy LOL.
With the Nuggets there's a good chance for adjustment as it's a best of 7 series, unlike on a do or die game. The Lakers are well prepared,  they are having a healthy line up now, so I don't think the Nuggets will be able to swept them again. Davis and Lebron is still playing great basketball, and as long as the Lakers can minimize the output of Jokic, I think they have a chance, but it's close to impossible to be honest.
150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It takes the balls... on: April 16, 2024, 05:17:04 AM

The BUT here is how people get so weak after the dips finally happen and they do nothing, Wake the hell up, now it's happening right in front of your eye, do not sleep on it.

Instead of doing nothing, consider DCA.

When the market is in dip, people become crazy and think negatively --drops, collapse, end of crypto, etc...
For many years that have been here, this is the normal situation and still be the possible situation many years from now. Those who think that Investing in Bitcoin is worth will take their chance but those who are not will simply don't mind about it.

Investing should be planned well, if we don't have the guts to risk, then better forget or just enjoy other stuff rather than forcing ourselves to do something that we don't prefer or something that we don't understand. Because this not just talk about money but also preparations and mindset.
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is investment a necessity or a want? on: April 15, 2024, 10:22:09 PM
It is am obvious fact there are a lot of coins coming in to the market and Bitcoin halving is so close and alot of people are also diving in to the  market, but some thing actually triggered me creating this thread which is where I got the attention from, some one very close to me has been prioritizing coins involvement other than his health care. What are your option on this?
Investing is not a necessity but a must thing to do if you want to have a better life. Smart people prioritize those things that give them returns and that is how investing exactly does. If we have money, that is too easy to take care of our health as we already can support ourselves when there are emergencies. It is just something we need to think about if we want to improve our living, investing is the best option to take as this continues to generate profit until we stop. More investments, more money, and of course, we also have a healthy life as we never stress our mind as money is not a problem anymore and whatever we want, we can have it.

152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: April 15, 2024, 01:59:31 PM
Sure he will be training hard as Tyson has built his name to be a solid KO artist. But I doubt this will be a serious fight. It's called an "Exhibition fight" for a reason, no one will get harm especially the old guy and probably Jake Paul would be able to continue his career as a boxer now. There's still plenty of time to promote the fight, but the world knows it's Mike Tyson so they'll watch especially that it's broadcast in Netflix where membership is not expensive unlike paying a PPV subsciption.

I just learned that from you as the fight will be an exhibition fight, which means there won't be much seriousness or strong punches involved. Unlike official competitions, exhibition fights are only for entertainment and shows rather than determining a winner, so despite the spark between Mike tyson and Jake lately, this will be only to show off like WWE show?

I can’t understand this also watching this video posted yesterday on Youtube:
"I’M GONNA HURT YOU!” Mike Tyson BRUTAL Warning To Jake Paul On LIVE TV

Since it's just an exhibition fight, they can make their own rules and that could be not allowing both to be seriously injured.
There are also fights before with Jake Paul that is called as exhibition fights but he knock his opponent out, so it's not really an assurance that no one will get hurt since its an exhibition, but considering Mike Tyson is already old, they might make the rules to favor him.

So given the nature of exhibition fights, the question is whether sportsbooks would allow betting on this coming event? It’s can be all an arranged fight and if people knows the results already it gonna be a mess in sportsbooks.
We will only know if there's an odds if they'll list it. Once the rules are not yet final, there will be no betting odds to be seen, and if there's no wininer, no betting odds will be created.
153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: April 15, 2024, 12:44:08 PM
Warriors -2
Hopefully Curry will play, but regardless, I think the Warriors are more experience so they'll get this win.
I don't think he will miss this opportunity to play, this is a do or die game, a loss would mean the end of their season, Curry don't think like that because he is a champion. So even if it's not yet confirm that he will play, but he is not listed as unavalilable too, so let's be optimistic that he will play.

This is a good match up, last time they meet in a very important game was in the playoffs, there was a game 7 and the Warriors won, but this time, it's just  one game and they should give their 100% as there's no tomorrow.
154  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is not a lifetime job. on: April 15, 2024, 12:33:40 PM
Indeed, we all have different insights about trading and of course, different experience. We may find it profitable this time as we are too updated and have enough time to check the market but someday, it can be changed for some reasons that have not yet come. If we stop trading, it is for sure for goodness.

What is your basis for the following statements that you gave? It seems like the people that you have talked about there have problems and I think it's not connected with the situation in which "trading" is the contest.
This is my personal experience and I have also asked several traders in my place and they say they are quitting soon due to the stress and have no time anymore. Honestly, it is exciting when you are just new to trading and very interested in but when the situation went difficult, you may think about quitting.

Quote
It's going to be stressful if you don't control your emotions. Without proper training, it will lead to losses that could cause stress as well.
Well, maybe I am and a lot of people have this kind of condition. Maybe I am wrong about my statement but I am certain that nothing in here is forever.
As we grow old, our priorities change as well especially when it comes to health issues.
155  Economy / Trading Discussion / Trading is not a lifetime job. on: April 14, 2024, 10:28:50 AM
I'm sure not all traders will agree with me but some could possibly be on my side...

Here are the reasons why;
 1. It is quite stressful - old traders will soon give up due to mental health problems
 2. It is not enjoyable anymore - nobody will stay long in a job that they no longer find themselves comfortable with especially if you are not earning well.
Most of the time we feel this during bear season.
 3. Trust issue due to Scam growth - traders never find it safe to use exchanges, even big exchanges.

156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you won a bet with your last cash? on: April 12, 2024, 03:32:13 PM
I'm experiencing this OP hoping that the time favors me and have luck. Well, a few times it happened that I won but most of the time was not. So I believe that betting the last money we have in our pocket still couldn't not assure winning. Our last money seems to be our last bet as well.
But I don't think we need to have this situation when gambling instead, we have to practice of saving our last cash for the most important thing. I think gambling responsibly should really be what we have in our mind rather than putting our last money into hopes. This just means that we are not lucky today and instead of using this money, maybe we can save this for the next day or in the other day.
157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hodling or selling? on: April 12, 2024, 02:53:37 PM
There is no perfect timing is selling our Bitcoin but I also think that selling them during bull season is a good time to do it. If ever I sell them now, I was certain that I've been in profit but deciding to still hold them is a good choice as well believing that the price of Bitcoin will increase in the next few years. But I think if we have the chance to make a good profit this time while the market is in a bullish state, why now? If I could make a profit x2 from my capital, I guess that would be very satisfying, and feel no regret in doing it even after a few days it pumps more and reaches the new ATH.

Hold if you prefer to wait for the ATH but sell if the price is satisfying for you. The point here is to generate profit, not losses.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your strategy to win in this bull run? on: April 12, 2024, 11:26:30 AM
Simple and Easy...
 1. Choose potential coin/s
 2. Hold
 3. Sell when the price hits my target

I don't invest in hypes projects nor choose to risks in new projects that promise xxx ROI during the bull season. I was certain that we don't need to accumulate a huge number of different coins nor get into projects that don't have use but rather choose those projects that are already been working for many years as they are proven for such profitability.
159  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does trading belongs to everyone? on: April 12, 2024, 10:50:46 AM
Although we can try trading, unfortunately, it doesn't mean that we all become a successful trader for many reasons...
 - lack of improvement and market adaptation
 - trading behavior problems
 - lack of interest
 - capital

Some people will think that trading is a good opportunity and so they try. Some went so well and made a fortune in trading but some did not and lost their money. Some people after having experience in trading become holders because they realize that trading is not for them and know that they are not really capable enough.
160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do some people hide to gamble on: April 12, 2024, 06:28:44 AM

So at this point I decided to bring it here to know or see different views from different intellects here on why do some people hide just to gamble or if it is the best way to gamble ?.
It is illegal and so they keep it quiet and hidden. I did this before together with some of my friends but I see a fair gamble in this situation because nobody will surely cheat you within the group unlike in some big casinos. But yes, the consequences if got caught by the authorities are quite harsh, and have no way to complain about it while they take our money.

Of course, I'm not going to say this is the best way to gamble because this is very informal but being with friends is a different gambling experience than in the casino with different people.
