If I want to buy mining equipment in Singapore, what is my best option? I understand that ASICMINER is currently being sold through resellers, but I don't see any sellers serving SG... US: eleuthria, CanaryInTheMine, SilentSonicBoom Canada: teek EU, Switzerland and North Europe: yxt China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau: rockxie Australia: asicminer@swishbits.com.au India: Pinwheel Singapore: (Yes, I know that electricity costs in SG are prohibitive, but I'm not exactly looking to make ROI, as you can see) Don't...... I'm in HK PM me to discuss if it is research or something else.

He can always come over to HK... Amish cannot use Airplanes.

It is all bullshit. They had no intention of meeting all current pre-order deliveries by the end of september 2013.
It just shows the stupidity and lack of thinking ability,(or the real issue), bit like those assembly machines they wasted money on.
Instead of assembling the product, allow the customer to take a kit of parts or just the main boards, that way you don't need workers to do assembly, that is Unless you need a bottle neck, because the boards won't meet the hashing rates.

As far as the distribution of the lowest byte goes: The counter starts at some value and gets reset when there is a new block or when you exhaust it. If you mine at some constant speed which isn't some large multiple of 2^32/600 hashes per second you would expect your found nonces to be highly non-uniform— not just (most obviously) in the MSB but in all of the bytes.
I don't follow. Why would the hashrate affect the distribution? If the nonce is simply incremented until a block is found then why wouldn't the least significant bytes be uniformly distributed? It is not, because of the difficulty you need to meet. Also you don't need to continually increment the nonce, and in some 'implementations' valid nonces get destroyed, what this does is skews any in-depth research. Also FPGA's don't have an endian since they are implementations of pure logic, only the algorithm is endian specific.

It is just a transition. The reality is that as it rises exponentially, it also becomes exponentially difficult to increase it. What we are seeing is the transition from Bi-planes to jets.
Once we hit 26nm en mass it will slow down, the reality is that this could be the start of the end for bitcoin, specifically because the distribution is being centralized into a small number of pools. It matters not what the overall distribution of miners is, but rather the pool distribution.
It would only take a 'bent' or a 'couple of bent' pool operators to leverage a 51% attack.

2 New nodes added in Hong Kong this morning and have been added to list.
I think you will find, those are in India not HK.

847Pool is now running p2pool 13.3. Happy mining. Edit: Also brought a 5kW solar panel online this week, so 847Pool is running on nothing but solar power (for the summer anyway). Greenest p2pool node? Possibly. 5KW is a SHIT load of panels... , pictures, prices, control gear ?

The page also Highlights WHY they are basically shipping nothing....... Our facility in Kansas has the largest production capacity of all Bitcoin hardware manufacturers. If 6-8 people is their Idea of a production facility... then I'd rather not be buying their product. WAY more interesting is this: Pre-Order Terms Bitcoin, Dwolla or Bank Transfer only
Basically anything that removes any consumer protection you might have had

From the site... Hey you Jerks, what are you doing announcing 28nm gear while you're still shipping 65nm? I want my Single 65nm products are shipping in great volume, but will be out of production long before the first 28nm Monarch cards are through development and ready to be shipped. If you haven't already received your 65nm product, you will very shortly. The ASIC engineering team finished 65nm development long ago and turned it over to production. Chip development is traditionally a 12 month process, so ASIC engineering teams have to be forward thinking in order to provide the best technology to the market. 28nm development began a long time ago. Please don't think that this means production of your singles ever lost a second of focus. They are different teams and we've put enormous resources into building our supply chain & production capacity. Nothing is more important than shipping your order as fast as possible. Problem is.... IF you transfer your order, there is even less chance of getting your money back, because it adds another 3 months to the time since you paid.

Yep last time we didn't give you a reach round... But for a paltry 10% they are now available.
|
|
|
That's the thing with Tax avoidance & illegal shipping in China, eventually everyone wants a cut.

Stupidity is like Nuclear waste.... Better to stay FAR way, even better to not get any on you.

Good I cannot wait for them to get involved in bitcoin and boost the value..... oh sorry it has already started..

I think it's only plagerism if they copy the results? In any case, I'm not aware of any formal produced research, just observations and solutions.
Nope... plagiarism is the use of ANY (non-general knowledge)material from another source , without giving proper recognition of the material. It can be an Idea, data, research... OR EVEN material you have previously produced YOURSELF!!!!

|
|
In this case, the work does not cite a single piece of the industry discussion of block propagation timing concerns or potential solutions which occurred prior to and during the time under study. While this complaint is not unique to this work, I've reviewed preprints which have done far better, and I do not believe some other authors' similar behavior excuses the exclusion of the relevant citations here.
Then send them and the IEEE a plagiarism warning, because basically they have failed to perform due diligence and correctly research the subject matter prior to publishing the paper. If the paper covers research that has already been produced and they have failed to accredit the original researchers, it is plagiarism. At the very least the IEEE will investigate the claims, and if necessary get them to retract/amend the published paper.

I am in need of 5 BTC almost immediately, this is to cover an emergency situation I am in as well as an investment and kickstart to my company, ThriftyBit. I am the owner of the domains www.thriftybit.com and www.bitcoinitup.com with plans to launch in the next two weeks. I have and am working on a few vendors and will be offering their products for sale on thriftybit. The site is almost built and I plan on going into overdrive too get it finished and ready for launch. I do not want to give the sob story behind my emergency situation but I will say it is most definitely an emergency, if you are interested I will give more information in PM. I will repay 20%, that is to say 1 bitcoin, by tomorrow, and will have the rest of the BTC + .5 BTC by the end of the month. I would like to remain pseudonymous for now, but I have ID and collateral upon request. Thank you for your time, TC 19pATPVSa35p3Nj3m4Tye53KVThZrKaecv go to BTCJAM.com and I will think about it........

Why would SHA2* have a *backdoor*?
It is a HASHING ALGORITHM NOT AN ENCRYPTION ALGORITHM.....

I hate that F** ing article, notice the date ... 8 Aug..., this is not the first time it has been 're-hashed', this must be about the 3rd time that it has been released as new news. It used to be a good site. but now it is just full of shill articles and text....

when the pool payout is set, why does the pool not pay out the full amount in the account?
If I set it to 0.6 it pays out 0.6 and leaves the balance....if i set it to 0.8 it pays out only 0.8 even if there is more in the account... do I really have to set it to 0.xxxxxxxxxxxx to get the full payout?
