141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This guy has lost 103 Bitcoins on: August 26, 2018, 04:43:27 AM
This guy has lost 103 bitcoins he mined back in 2011 and then lost his wallet dat file similar to what I have done but wow this guy must be gutted the amount of money he has lost compared to me

His Address    166BuLPWHUjqoqiYp5rGE3B5r5AmqgHpoL    Final Balance   103.20832384 BTC

So many people have the same problem and I wonder just how much Bitcoin is stuck not being able to be used Sad

He says "I used to mine Bitcoin back in 2011 and I lost my wallet.dat file (through several stupid moves on my part). It's got approx 103 BTC in it, anyone is welcome to it, I've given up trying."

I restore in some way lost the key file? It would be necessary to search for a network that people write on this issue.
In addition to this guy, I met a lot of people who lost for some reason a wallet or password.
the number of lost bitcoins is growing every year, this is another component of the growth of bitcoins. when 10 million bitcoins are lost, it will be a thousand times more expensive.
142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is Bitcoin? ✅ on: August 26, 2018, 04:39:58 AM
bitcoin is very safe because it use the blockchain system that right now is the best platform that i know from the security, the weak part is int he user, how they save their private key and password and activity in the internet is the weak part, there are many phising site and anything else that makes their bitcoin gone stolen by thief
there is a cold wallet technology that allows you not to be afraid of phishing site. bitcoin with the right organization is safe, but the loss is always possible due to the human factor.
143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cannot be a global currency on: August 26, 2018, 04:35:28 AM
Bitcoin can be a world currency because it is the most popular and it is the first and the most accepted cryptocurrency out there and it can replace the current payment systems.
bitcoin can not do this, bitcoin can become a standard for cryptocurrency reconciliation, but it will never be a means of settlements and payments for goods because of 10 minutes per block.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash/BTG AMD GPU Miner v12.6 (Windows/Linux) on: August 26, 2018, 04:27:31 AM
For whatever reason, ive installed this as specified on Windows 10, AMD GPU RX580 red devils, i have a valid zwallet and when i run the batch file its opens for a sec then auto closes........was working 2 days ago using the US server.  Any ideas?  Log file doesnt help at all

Check that Windows Defender (or some other anti-virus app) has not deleted the "ZecMiner64.exe" file.
If you run the batch file in a CMD window it will stay open and give you time to see any error messages displayed.

If none of the above works then post your bat config file here and someone may spot an error.
Yes remove antivirus mining program is probably the most initial basics of mining )), and now he probably does not have enough power supply and therefore periodically fly production.
145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: produced 17 million BTC, when will they get 21 million? on: August 26, 2018, 12:52:41 AM
I think bitcoin will 21 million bitcoin in 2025 because I hear the deep more you mining the hard you get bitcoin. with the status quo now i don't think it enough to get full of 21million when we come to the years 2024.

146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] (QTUM) - A Scalable PoS Smart Contract Platform - MainNet Complete! on: August 26, 2018, 12:18:13 AM
The price is the best thing about this coin, it has dropped more than any other good coin on coinmarketcap so when the bull markets return the gains are going to be huge. This theory doesn't work with all coins, just ones with a future and QTUM has an impressive roadmap
competition in the market of altcoins is beginning to grow, in addition to a good road map, it is now necessary to show stable financial results.
147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is it the Future of Banking ? on: August 26, 2018, 12:15:22 AM
I think so, because bitcoin is more transparent than Bank payments and much safer. You don't have to worry about your money being frozen or anything.
Yes, do not worry about the freezing of funds in Bank accounts, but there are other risks of non-payment due to the low cost or its long delay.
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bancor | Protocol for Smart-tokens, solving the liquidity problem on: August 26, 2018, 12:12:33 AM
I watch a lot of good news from the Bancor project. So we buy tokens Bnt further. If the price falls even lower, only the purchase I see.
if you buy out all the decline there is a chance to buy out the entire Bancor. maybe you shouldn't risk it and leave it to others who want to buy a Bancor already growing.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SONM • Decentralized Fog Computing Platform on: August 26, 2018, 12:07:56 AM
It’s Friday, and before the weekend starts, we want to share with you an updated version of SONM roadmap for the upcoming year. In this timeline we outlined our activities in three main areas that we’ll be focusing on — product, business and marketing.

There are a lot of product improvements ahead, with a special attention given to improve user experience both for clients and suppliers. Since June we tested SONM on Livenet successfully but there are so many technological features that we plan to add.

Business and Marketing timelines will be in line with the product focusing on explaining SONM benefits to the global community, working on new services development, support and promotion. Also, we’ll continue our running activities spreading the brand awareness with events, media relations, and dedicated campaigns.

The roadmap will be updated with time. The most relevant version you will always be able to find in our blog or just asking our superfriendly community management team.

Take a look at the new version of the roadmap, and share with us your thoughts and comments in our Telegram group.

the fact that there was a division in the directions in the road map is a good indicator. the company is becoming larger and begins to work in the areas of development, now we are waiting for the results and new names in the areas.
150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin will become the first world currency for buy and sell ? on: August 26, 2018, 12:00:03 AM
Do you think Bitcoin will become the first world currency for buy and sell ?  Grin
Everything can be, but it seems to me that it is necessary to perceive bitcoin as an asset, not a currency. Painfully difficult it has become. Many States cannot accept it because of its uncertain status within the state
in addition to the status of bitcoin, the cost of transactions and their speed will not allow bitcoin to become a cryptocurrency of purchases and sales.
151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and altcoin: Who will take control of the market? on: August 25, 2018, 11:56:58 PM
anyone can control the market movements of bitcoin and altcoin, market price movements depend on market participants, if demand is high then prices will rise and vice versa.
SEC does not think so yet, the Supervisory authority considers the cryptocurrency market controlled and therefore does not yet give the opportunity to create crypto-funds.
152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who sells BTC now? on: August 25, 2018, 11:53:52 PM
It's not a good option to sell your btc now, because price is growing and you can earn more profit, if you wait more time.
now bitcoin is a very volatile asset, so you need to sell it at local highs and buy at local lows. this will give the opportunity to have the stability of the Deposit.
153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin mining geography on: August 24, 2018, 03:11:00 AM
i think that its all over the world almost in every piece of it. if u have brain - u manage to do it

the brain is of course needed when creating an industrial scale mining factory, but external factors are also important. you need to be competitive in the global production of bitcoins, and this cost reduction and snow risks, as well as stable operation of mining factories and a constant increase in capacity.
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RLC] iEx.ec blockchain-based distributed cloud announces its Crowdsale on: August 24, 2018, 03:07:13 AM
loved the latest medium post, folks
loved the fact that you can openly talk about the things that did NOT go according the plan, i.e. testing infrastructure seized being sufficient, stuff like that, I appreciate honesty above all, so you have a new fan here

everything new has a chance to go wrong, and here it is necessary not to lose the trust of the community. to engage in open dialogue and the community will reward researchers.

157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT HAPPENS WHEN NO ONE SELLS BUT HODL? on: July 29, 2018, 07:11:29 PM
I think in a way, yes, that may be correct.
Though if a huge part of users will hold, it will reduce the supply overall - bitcoin depends on the demand/supply concept so we can say that it will increase the value.
But of course, buying and demand is as important as well as it keeps the balance. I cannot imagine other people apart from those who hodl their coins not buying coins, they will as the interest for cryptocurrency with newer users will always be there.

Yes, I agree. I don't think everyone HODL because there are some other countries that normally uses bitcoin as a currency. We are just only limiting the supply in the market if bitcoin holders in this forum will do it, in order to regain back the price after a price fall.
the more people will hold the coin bitcoin the more expensive will be its value due to the rarity of the possibility of finding it. the harder it is to buy, the less bitcoin will be used in the calculations.
158  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are some of the best sources of information on Bitcoin? on: July 29, 2018, 07:07:50 PM

159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin End Goal on: July 29, 2018, 07:04:32 PM
I think the ultimate goal of everyone who has bitcoin is the same. They want to collect as much bitcoin as possible for future assets. because of the many advantages derived from bitcoin and the benefits of bitcoin. But certainly the expected wealth so that all desires can be obtained easily.
the main purpose of bitcoin is to show an alternative to the usual world of Finance. the emergence of bitcoin has translated the concept of Finance and mutual settlements to a new level of understanding of how it can be organized in the future.
160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in business industry on: July 29, 2018, 07:00:50 PM
Bitcoin currency has a huge and popular opportunity, you can and free to mine professionally, you can start a trading business can open a business or business escrow business loan business - the list is very long. Smiley Smiley Smiley
the business industry will be divided into those who accept bitcoin and who do not accept it as a means of calculation. it will be possible to replace bitcoin with a more acceptable business asset.
