141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: July 07, 2022, 10:14:30 AM
Thank you Steve, jeremypwr, Sportsbet, hilariousandco!

I will enter the pool by next weekend with my payment. I did badly of course but next season Spurs!!!

Yeah, I just looked it up, and yes, I'm impressed with Liverpool's business since Klopp took over. With the way they're buying players, it's easy to think they're overspending without realizing they're getting more than they're paying for. My club, Chelsea, is one of the top five clubs in terms of net spending, and as the club with the most loaned out players, I believe it is time to focus more on cashing in on them rather than loaning for free. In any case, only 3% of them make it back to our main squad.

Manchester United, the English club with the most debt, has spent the most money since 2017 with nothing to show for it. One of England's worst-run clubs.
>>>>>>>>

Igehhh will be on board for the first time.
CLS63 & Harkorede - time for revenge!! Both of you dumbed on me @AFCON pool.  Grin

Indeed,,, I am not a Liverpool or Arsenal fan, never have been but I always felt Arsenal were the best run club in the whole league for 20 years until Wenger got kicked out and see how they are now, spending so much and going nowhere. And Liverpool yes they make big buys, but always from a proper accounting of business. Money in then money out. And just look how they somehow find diamonds like Suarez, Torres, Salah. America, European, African. And turn them all into Golden Boot winners and amazing talent.

Spurs not bad, but recently not good and Conte is known spender. But we made the first Asian Golden Boot also from unknown. That is something I always feel so proud of.

City and PSG I really dislike in a way because they just had no need to make business. And if they have great talents they always arrive already with big debt. Same as Chelsea initially but now I think you guys have to play nice under new boss.

United is the worst indeed. They had no money but put their own club up as collateral to borrow money. Last season they made LOSS and their owners paid each other millions in bonus. And they hate to make stars they buy stars. After teenage Ronaldo, who did they build up?

Just do the french roulette style and don’t do martingale, rely on daily rewards to recover your losses and focus on the 1mbtc reward per week on the VIP reward.

Yes but it can be quite painful to do it for hours and of course you lose quite a lot there too, my tactic has been 2 ways. Get wagers up to 5 or 10 mbtc and then go to win all the roulette losses back with BJ martingale. I guess a lot of people use this Smiley

@fiulpro and Peanutswar

I have been gambling for years, so come on, of course I know that Wink You do not recognize me from all the gambling threads discussing this many times over? First of all, what I deposit and play with is considered lost,,, so no worries if I lose it all, just time to take a break as I said.

Yes submission is always a possibility as this is what grapplers are taught to be on the look out for so to end the match as early as possible.
Israel never let him get close enough to even try and Cannonier is all about those ground attacks.
He just kept him at a distance and landed points as you had stated. It was a one way contest in this respect.

I just read above and saw that your guy only submitted people twice, the last time 9 years ago, so I have to say calling him a submission machine is not quite right  Grin I mean of course it is always a possibility but I think in the case of Cannonier it was never realistic in a huge match against the title holder right? Hence 25x odds.

Anyway, points win, who cares, Israel does not. I am really looking forward to see next match but like everyone says pls Israel, fight more exciting?

+100 slaman29 suggestions and feedback, constructive is the only requirement.

Now,,, I am staying away from BJ martingale in July btw, that socalled strategy lost so me much money there in June I have to rest and recover I even got tempted today to try for weekly and I gave up seeing even hourly already 2nd place is 150 mbtc,,, so better not  Grin

Of course to see such amounts is amazing for them and casino, only not so much for me Wink

thanks for updating boltz,,, wish I knew what was going on the league and cup systems there confuse me  Grin

Great score, and next season we could have more meetings with Watford and other Sportsbet teams in FA Cup or other cup competitions, and it's not impossible to have some sponsorship deal for top Championship clubs Wink
There needs to be some more competition for bet365 (Stoke City), BoyleSports (Birmingham, Coventry), and Unibet (Middlesbrough).

Check out some of the great Sportsbet Clubhouse offers from July 4 - July 10:
https://sportsbet.io/promotions/2022-whatshot

Never forget also to check all the predictions threads for Wimbledon, UFC, Brasil football and more Smiley I have not been picking it right recently but many great chances for freebets!

Aside of the internal clash here in the forum, never the betting companies made a colaboration and put the betting  derby like a publicity?

I think Steve did try to do it with Stake but they (Stake) if I am not mistaken never really responded. Should try make a hashtag on social media maybe and get all those new verified accounts to promote it and try make Stake engage, should be fun Wink
148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: July 06, 2022, 09:49:38 AM
North London is just where all the clubs to go are is why the player was picked up there so party clubs not football clubs Grin

also igehhh net spend for Liverpool was still outside top 10, and even less than Everton and Villa and Arsenal in last 10 years, I remember because they were just a few million more than my club Spurs, which made me feel quite ashamed  Tongue

This was end of last season before they got Darwin of course but they balance it out also with all their sales I think.

So you could say they have spent 500 but only because they got in a lot of money. I think there is a difference of spending with borrowed money (bank loan or owner money like United and City) and with revenue (like Arsenal or Liverpool). This is like saying I spend $5 and you spend $5, but I have $5 in my pocket from my job, you borrowed $5 to spend it.

This is the center of what makes fans angry with spending.

Still very envious Liverpool bought players and manage to sell so far almost everyone more than what they paid for. Very good businessmen at their transfer shop. How you can sell even players like Minamino for profit is amazing. Though that is not as important as market value.
149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Conference League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Qualifying 5/07/22 on: July 06, 2022, 07:37:55 AM
I did not know a new league thread was made,,, old one led me here.

Not sure if I will follow it this season since Spurs were knocked out by just defaulting on Covid (I still think Conte kind of made a mistake there but anyway health is priority).

I noticed 2 draws last night happened with qualifying so no decision yet and tonight 2 more games:
Inter Turku - Drita
Vikingur - Europa

Sounds Northern Europe maybe Icelandic and,,, Eastern Europe?

Some really cool resources I see already mentioned but I understand it can still be time-consuming and hard to see for a lot of people, especially these days people want things in bite size format.

There are quite a lot of "Learning" and "Academy" courses I think might suit this need. Coinbase has one if you can,,, I see also from Binance.

Problem is they want you to use their product (exchange).

Independent one I know a new one is LearnCrypto.com it has many TLDR sections you can check.

@ Bttzed03 thanks yes, betting odds is what made me really confused about Israel/Pereira. I will ignore now Smiley

@ TopTort777 Khamzat Pereira fake,,, I am almost thinking now this UFC media is worse than Italian transfer news for football. Everything is so unreliable  Embarrassed

@ Welsh This is probably the most helpful for me, top ranked versus top ranked. I guess that means before Pereira gets his chance, others before him deserve their chance first and Cannonier already did, and could not win,,, so next chances to the top ranked.

I am getting there to understanding!
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Will Not Devalue To Zero on: July 05, 2022, 01:46:41 PM
If people are stuck on second guessing their moves, they will eventually be too late to making a move and they will miss profit making chance. That "go ahead and buy some ETH" is as simple as it gets and if people are not finding a reason to do that, then they are going to be pretty upset when they see ETH near 5k zone when the time comes.

Certainly I agree that it is not simple to get out of that mindset, but they have to, they have no other option or else they will lose out that chance. Wondering if it will go any lower will only cause them to do nothing, and there is no way of making a profit by not doing anything, you have to get in, being involved is the only way to make money.

The thing about something like ETH is that it no longer is just a coin with 'potential' like all the zillions of ETH killers out there.

It is now mature (almost like Bitcoin) it is now almost decentralized (never fully for sure) and it can survive without any more marketing because utility is there.

The problem with utility has always been speed and cost but Layer 2 solves that even without ETH 2.0.

The only question is value to price, will we see $5k? Speculation wise yes, but sustainable true value? Very hard to really say for sure.

There are plenty of sites that could help you to start, and if you are familiar with MMA then I think you should start familiarizing their style and look for the UFC Rankings so you can see who is on the top and who will be the number 1 contender,

Alex Pereira is a no ranked, to begin with, and it is Sean Stricklands' fault for giving him a fight because Sean Strickland lost to Alex Pereira, Pereira will be landing in a sweet spot on the ranking, but not that much, and he will be needing more fights to get to the Champion Israel Adesanya, he is still starting his career in the UFC I think he still needs to prove himself, but he has gained Performance of the Night award by knocking Strickland on the 1st round, so there is that,

No, I don't think he deserves a title shot yet. He defeated a top ten middleweight but he'll have to do more than a 3-fight win streak. Maybe a fight with Whittaker or Vettori first before Adesanya. BUT all matches ultimately depends on Dana. If he's happy about a fighter and the guy is easily marketable, he might give him a chance faster than the others. At the end of the day, it's still about who can bring in more crowd and pay for gate/PPV.

Thank you! It is true there are a lot of sites but I have a hard time understanding what to follow. For example this Pereira Israel fight is a sure thing or not at all, depending on the site you visit. And now I am reading Khamzat is more likely as Pereira's next one.

So about this, what rank should a fighter be to get a shot at the title holder?

I think I used the freespins once yesterday or the day before,,, a few cents nothing to shout about Wink

Although I think admin should really store the bonuses for all winners because I would not have known if I did not see the announcement in chat and we all know the chat window floods out the old messages away if you come in a few hours.

Anyway, hope to see V3 have a better way of information because now it is just all over the place.

...meanwhile, the Saints have their away kit revealed, supposed to be an homage to their early 90's wavy blue kit.
This looks like a great unique kit style, and I am sure some members will win few of those kits from Sportsbet in next season competitions.
It's going to be amazing watching Southampton vs Everton, we are continuing competition between Sportsbet vs Stake tradition.
I don't know if someone is counting the score so far, but I think that Sportsbet has a lead Wink

The first one I remember very well because a lot of people bet on Southampton and won, Steve donated the winnings to charity! I have a really bad memory and seem to feel like I also put a small bet but not sure now. Second one Watford won though so it is currently 1-1 and a long time more to go before they can resume that count,,, though this month they actually play one club friendly.

More importantly,,, Arsenal did double against them Wink

Everton now the team to beat however.

158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: July 04, 2022, 10:04:16 AM
I do the one underdog strategy because of the mentality of high risk high reward.
It is only one-leg so might as well go for the best case scenario.
The only problem is selecting which one will fail in their bout.

The odds for Cannonier must of declined significantly. But I will still stick with him as he is the most level headed fighter on the card and doesn't make himself out to be what he is not.
Like what Adesanya is always trying to do. And that was his downfall in having this blemish on his record losing to Blachowicz.

Not such good fortune for me this UFC, I tried to do a bit different other than 1/2 bets and went for handicaps and rounds but missed out on 2 of the games so a failed multibet. Almost got the insurance back but anyway, nice try enough for me.

Too bad about Cannonier, I think you were right about him wanting to try get the submission which made Israel super careful.

A win is a win though right?
159  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: July 04, 2022, 08:04:49 AM
I know who I would have picked if Richarlison didn't left Cheesy Now I am going to go with Calvert-Lewin. He is a striker, and according to transfer market he is also the most valuable player in the team as well, that should tell you enough. But of course the "first" goal is a very difficult thing to know, it could be a defender from a corner head goal all we know. There will never be a guaranteed situation in the one off bets. Thats the beauty of it. Lets see who will be the one, I will for sure bet on Calvert, but I am sure that its not going to be that easy and if I am right then I bet there will be plenty of people who will be right as well.

I like him too and I guess everyone would be picking him, the most obvious now that your star Brazilian is gone,,, but I would sit and wait a bit to see who they bring in with the new money they got from the sales. A bit wobbly situation at the moment with the teamsheet looking quite lacking in attack.

First goal could even be own goal from keeper or guy on the other team,,, so maybe you should consider a defender from the other side Wink

My personal pick is Alex Iwobi though. He can beat Manchester United with a cut in, then stroke to corner.
160  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin (BTC) Crash To $13K After The Fed Rate Hike? on: July 04, 2022, 06:40:30 AM
I knew these guys all took risks but the way they did it, they are acting like casino gamblers, seriously! And nothing wrong with casinos but the way they did it is with coats and borrowed money.

Exactly, And now they are the reason why crypto market is now plummeting since there loan already liquidated and there collateral Bitcoin will be forced to sell in the market to become fiat to the lender. I know that this crypto project is just confident enough on Bitcoin price while they don’t have safety precautions on scenario like this which price dump down below the price which most institutional traders buy price.

Well, yes, they are one of the main reasons,,, but I always believe in the power of retail/mainstream traders. Yes these big guys lost billions and billions and make the news and scare everyone but I think the majority of market volume on exchanges are still speculators in the tens of thousands of people,,, the you and me people who all thought they could get rich quick.

And the shitcoins NFTs and memecoins and deficons. We cannot blame companies as 99% of investors were retail people.
