141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Metamask won't accept password... is it safe to reset it? on: August 18, 2021, 08:44:37 PM
My Metamask won't accept my password and I know it is correct.  I have the seed phrase and the password I created to sign up for the metamask.  If I reset my wallet, is there a chance I would lose my coins? I can't have that.  Also, is the "password" different than the seed phrase,,, becaue it accepted this password before.. I didn't change it.

Before I could just reload the phone and it would ask for the face id and I would be good to go.... please advise if you know what to do or have been through this before.

thank you

I think the Metamask password is not very important. It just serves to secure the wallet on the browsing. The most important thing you backup is the seed phrase. And you can change the password by re-importing the seed phrase. Your token will not be lost even if you have changed the login password, unless you lose the seed phrase, all your tokens will be lost.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PolyNetwork Hacked, $600 million Lost on: August 18, 2021, 08:42:09 PM
Today I read the news of the most shocking events at https://www.reuters.com/technology/defi-platform-poly-network-reports-hacking-loses-estimated-600-million-2021-08-11/ namely news about The biggest hack in the history of the crypto industry.
A cryptocurrency platform has lost about $600 million in digital tokens after one of the biggest hacking attacks in the sector, according to details of the theft that emerged on Wednesday.
Why this event can happen so as to create space for hackers, it's really unfortunate

Yes. That's something bad happening in the crypto world. Indeed, many hackers try to attack blockchain security systems. But it is very rare for those who succeed. But most of the ones they managed to attack were exchange security systems. This time they tried to hack into PolyNetwork's security system, and they managed to break through. And bring bad impact for PolyNetwork.
With such an incident (security system hacking), it should be a lesson for anyone to always be aware of the account security system.
Because account security is very important in all areas of work.

If the exchange has high integrity, they will be responsible for the system they develop. Binance was also hacked, but the investors' losses were returned by the exchange. But now the security level of the exchange site is very high. It's just that to prevent hacking, we don't keep most of the assets in one exchange.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't panic on: August 18, 2021, 08:26:39 PM
Panic is always a step every trader always face in market because crypto is always high Risk either the market works on your way or work against you, so the best reason to invest in cryptocurrency is if you truly believe in its long-term potential. If you think it has a bright future, you should be willing to hold onto your investments for as long as possible -- regardless of whatever volatility they may experience in the short term.

Perhaps one way to retain assets when dumped is to hold or invest long term. But for me, investing in crypto is an amount of money that are prepared to lose. Don't push yourself by investing all of your money in crypto. The dump happens suddenly, maybe we don't have a chance to sell it.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What will happen to Tether? on: August 18, 2021, 08:17:19 PM
To my understanding Tether is the cryptocurrency created and backed by Bitfinex. If they become bankrupt and stop operating as an exchange what will happen to all the tethers in circulation? Will it all lose value also? Will Bitfinex have the responsibility to exchange them for real us dollars?

What percentage of the potential for Tether to go bankrupt, and what percentage that Tether will be adopted on a large scale. I think the dependence of altcoins on Tether is currently very high, so the potential for bankruptcy is very small. Even if it goes bankrupt, most of the altcoins will go bankrupt. When did Tether go bankrupt, and what was USD for? Tether will lose value if inflation occurs in America, so the USD loses value, and Tether will also lose value. It is impossible for Tether to maintain such a high selling value if the USD drops.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH and BSC on: August 18, 2021, 08:14:39 PM
One of the reasons why binance smart chain becomes this big right now is because ethereum gas fee is very high and this force some projects to switch to BSC but what do you think will happen once ethereum gas fee goes lower in near few months? Will BSC faced same fate as binance DEX? Or BSC will remain the better option over ethereum?

Binance Smart Chain is superior to Binance DEX, even though they are both from the same source, namely Binance. I see the presence of BSC exactly the same as the ethereum blockchain. Even though Ethereum transaction fees are back to normal, BSC users are still running smoothly. Currently, many tokens have been developed with Binance smart contracts. Even some of the coins are already in the BSC version. If you want to withdraw XRP, then you can choose the XRP of BEP20 version.
it can be seen that currently many are using the binance smart chain, because currently there are many new projects based on defi and nft games, so it feels like bsc is more suitable for use with the advantages of speed and transfer costs. therefore even though the eth network is back to normal, bsc is still widely used
I think Ethereum and BSC are no longer talking about competition, but more about collaboration between Ethereum and Binance. Of course the two coins will run normally, and each smart contract has loyal investors who keep the Ethereum and BSC smart contracts active. We can compare from each project that is currently running. Every project still uses these two smart contracts.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 12 Reasons to Invest in Ethereum 2021 How to do it? on: August 18, 2021, 08:05:42 PM
Is it a good idea to invest in Ethereum?

Is it a good idea to invest in Ethereum?

Investing in ethereum in 2021 is already a battle for investors to get Eth02. I think Vitalik has created something that makes people dependent on Ethereum. In conditions of high crypto prices, Vitalik came up with a crazy idea by burning Ethereum every transaction. Investors think that the price of Ethereum will be higher in the future.

What does this cryptocurrency have that many see as the most powerful competitor to Bitcoin? Will it be able to surpass the crypto queen?

But talking about Ethereum being a strong competitor to Bitcoin, I don't think Ethereum is at that stage yet. But Ethereum remains the queen of all altcoins, and of course the king is still Bitcoin.

Will it be a good investment?

Yes. Ethereum is the best and promising investment. Even though the coin price dumped sometime, ethereum was able to get through that difficult time with ease. That is, when a bullrun occurs, the price of Ethereum will return to normal, it can even pass the previous ATH.
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Does matic (polygon) worth to invest? on: August 18, 2021, 07:48:47 PM
Many people claim that matic is better than dogecoin after the recession last week. Do you agree?

Matic is one of the good coins with a high market cap. Even Matic has replaced the previous coins such as Stellar and Tron. However, the high circulation supply makes it difficult for the Matic token to reach a high price. This can be seen based on the previous coins.
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The future of crypto on: August 12, 2021, 10:05:22 PM
China is always two steps ahead of all other countries in terms of future tech and I think the reason why they ban crypto miners is because of their CBDC but what will happen if other countries later follow the same steps? Will this put crypto in trouble?

What we should know is that China is not banning crypto, it's just that China is banning crypto miners. Because it consumes a lot of electrical energy in the country. Banning crypto mining by banning crypto is much different. So there is no problem about the existence of crypto in China. Even CZ, the owner of Binance, is also Chinese.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If Musk doesn't tweet Dogecoin, can it still soar? on: August 12, 2021, 09:20:06 PM
One thing I notice is that the doge coin doesn’t rise in price without Elon Musk’s tweet. That means they have full control over the coin. But we know musk is not the owner of the doge coin. Though many people think that he is also a partner in it. It's true that without musk tweet doge coin could not get the current position. It is totally Elon’s achievement.

But whether Elon Musk can maintain the current value of Dogecoin. Even after the price peaked, the price of Dogecoin dropped again. After he said that, he would sell Bitcoin and buy Dogecoin, then the price of Dogecoin rose sharply. Suddenly he tweeted about Bitcoin again, and said he only accepts Bitcoin for Testa transactions. While Dogecoin is still in discussion.

151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Erc20 tokens send fee on: August 12, 2021, 08:23:36 PM
I don't know if this is the right place to post this but I want to know if there is some way to send erc20 tokens with low fee.
Current gas fee is very high particularly if one has to send too many transactions. Please if someone know any other way to send erc20 tokens with less fee, share with me and I will appreciate it.

There is no alternative path to save gas fees on Ethereum blockchain transactions, we can only set the amount of gas fees in each transaction to be smaller. If the gas cost has reached the limit we set, the token will be sent. However, in most cases like this, failed transactions occur.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You Want Tesla To Accept Doge? on: August 12, 2021, 08:07:25 PM
Elon Musk has made new tweet about Doge again as always. It has been seen for some time now that Elon Musk is benefiting himself by increasing the price of Doge through new tweets. He tweeted asking if Dogecoin will be used to buy Tesla. But after his tweet, Doge price is going down, which means people are understanding his purpose. You can see his tweet from here: https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1392030108274159619?s=19

I think buying Tesla with Dogecoin is still in Elon's discourse. Because Elon is also not ready to accommodate coins with price fluctuations to buy their products. When it comes to Bitcoin, there is a possibility that he will accept it to buy a Tesla product. In fact it has already been done.
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Binance Smart Chain the "New Ethereum"? on: August 12, 2021, 07:58:43 PM
I think Binance Smart Chain is not a new Ethereum, because Ethereum is still around and will remain the best forever, so no any altcoin can replace Ethereum to become a new Ethereum including Binance Smart Chain, therefore I think Ethereum will be the best until whenever and will survive to exist at 2nd place in coinmarkercap forever (no any altcoin can replace Ethereum).

I think all coins have the potential to get to the number 2 position of CMC, as in the past XRP was replaced by Ethereum. Binance also has that opportunity. However, the current high adoption of Ethereum is making it difficult for Binance to replace Ethereum, even though Binance also has smart contracts as a pathway to pump BNB coins. We know how CZ plays in the crypto market. Binance is not the first crypto exchange. But right now Binance is already the first exchange that is most used by investors. Even the crypto volume on Binance is very high compared to other exchanges.
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum or Binance Chain (BNB)? on: August 11, 2021, 10:31:22 PM
What's your choice? Ethereum or Binance Chain? Why did you select such cryptocurrency? Will one of them fade into oblivion sometime in the future? Or will they co-exist for many generations? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you Smiley

In 2021 the Binance smart chain began to be widely used. Even most of the new projects use the Binance smart chain. But the Ethereum smart chain is also still at number one. As new projects on the Binance smart chain progress, so does the Ethereum smart chain project coming with great coins.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Campaign Token on: August 11, 2021, 10:27:00 PM
The average bounty allocates the most tokens for Twitter, Facebook, Signature, Youtube and Article campaigns.
is there a bounty that allocates higher tokens to the Signature campaign?

Do you mean token allocation percentage? If it is based on the percentage of token allocation, most of the project's campaigns allocate more for signatures. However, if projects that only open special campaigns for signatures are rarely found in the bounty thread, they often release on the service.

157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Passive income on: August 11, 2021, 10:17:28 PM
What are some of the best ways to earn passive income right now? I was thinking about staking $CAKE, just staking it and not using liquidity farms. But not sure how profitable that would be, compared to some other methods. I have a 5000$ capital.

Is it possible with the staking system to get passive income. If the price of crypto drops, of course you also experience losses. I am more interested in trading than staking systems. Staking stablecoins is likely to give you an advantage. However the stable coin APR is very low.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Cardano overthrow Ethereum? on: August 11, 2021, 10:12:42 PM
Can we see a market cap bigger than Ehereums? At the actual price rates this means it should be around $12 per ADA.
Will it happen?

If ADA reaches $12, then the price of Ethereum has already reached $20k. So ADA's market cap cannot reach Ethereum. Because Ethereum is also one of the coins contested in crypto.
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: in between the decision to hold or sell on: August 11, 2021, 10:09:59 PM
having a conversation with a friend today , he was asking me if he should sell or hold a coin. i didnt give a straight answer, i just told him the project is a good one that can do well but if you are willing to wait then you can hold but if you need some money then you can sell off. he then replied that he will wait for an additional 25% increase before he would sell off. i think i tried my best to let him make his final decision himself. is there any better way to do this? if it were you, how would you respond to this. ??

Cryptocurrencies have both bullish and bearish trends. Where during a bullish trend we can hold and sell when it reaches the top. But when Bearish starts to appear, we have to sell immediately, we even have to set up a sales system with the OCO system on Binance, if you use Binance.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum going back to under 200$? on: March 07, 2020, 04:27:51 AM
I think no one knows if ethereum coin goes under $200 again, however fluctuation of crypto market goes increase and decrease, we cannot predict the exact movement.

This is general answer and I agree with you. That's why include technical/ fundamental analysis to support post really important so we can more specific giving opinion. If we use MACD it look's trend start change ( down ) but some people only say temporary and event ( halving ) and project news ( 2.0 ) become the main reason. People decide to get out and wait after halving, to much risk and we should take safe method to avoid bigger lost.
