1401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: My wallet has Been Hacked. i need your help guyz. on: July 17, 2022, 04:49:39 AM
What you are dealing with is a computer virus. Get another computer, and restore the seed phrase on that computer, reinstall the infected computer (because anti-virus is so awful at detecting viruses in the first place that it just kills running programs).
If it is a computer virus, OP should use Internet security, antivirus software to have better protection.

The best protection is don't do stupid things when surfing on Internet and don't use cracked softwares. It is a first barrier against hackers. The second layer of barrier and protection is software.

Well, I agree with you, but I don't think it's all about investors, what about the traders who day trade everyday as their job?
It is fine if they do trades every day. If they do it, they must choose biggest and most trusted exchanges to store their money on that and trade there.

Decentralize money and trading on two to three exchanges. For safety of fund.

Quote
There is absolutely no way you expect this set of people to withdraw their funds and deposit it back the next day spending so much on withdrawal fees all in the name of "not your keys, not your crypto", always consider the days they will trade without making any profit to cover the withdrawal fees.
It is always true, I agree. Withdrawal should be made after you get enough profit and make sure you reuse your initial capital to trade in future. Another step for safety of your fund. If you lose all from trading or exchange has issues and you lose all fund on it, you still have profit part from withdrawal.

Quote
So I believe that when we say, "not your keys, not your crypto" we should remember the traders because that statement can make sense to a long term investor, but not to a day trader - but I guess that's their own risk to bear.
No. It is for all, investors and traders.

Don't store money on exchange if you don't trade. Traders trade more, investors must trade to buy and sell at least so they do need exchanges.
Try to get initial capital out of exchange. In most terrible case, you will not lose capital, not lose all.

Because you can win 10 times, 100 times but if you always store all your money on exchanges and in most terrible case, you will lose all, no capital in hands at the end.

LOL, annoying or interesting or nothing, it depends on you.

I don't see any kind of thing with the symbol so I would prefer to let it be.

{()} (.) 0U0 is it annoying? I don't see why anyone consider it is annoying.

Why KYC is extremely dangerous – and useless

and Not your keys, not your coins. So KYC, AML, centralized management put your account at risk if you store your coins at exchanges and in custodial wallets.
1405  Other / Meta / Re: How Would You Make Bitcointalk Better If You Were The Boss ? on: July 16, 2022, 12:05:36 AM
Majority of those that plagiarism has the intention of claiming that information that they're about to pass across as an original and received reward for them. The reward could be merit, monetary value from signature campaign they're enrolled in or a reputation for been a valuable (contributive) member therefore their punishment are well deserved.
Plagiarism rule and ban nowadays are no longer in effect.

People can copy, paste 10 posts, get paid (if no one detects it) and no ban in any kind (post, signature, account).

theymos can change it to Anonymous. Maybe Cyrus can do it too.

Deleting accounts doesn't mess up any threads, like this thread. It just changes to anonymous, with no profile information. Post stays intact.

As you can see here, I only change the username to "Anonymous" on request.
1408  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question for Legendary Members on: July 15, 2022, 05:31:06 AM
You don't have to be a Legendary member literally to be actually a legend here.

Legendary member is only a rank, a badge that recognize your activity and merit points. Being a true legend is from your knowledge and your help for others with your knowledge and your posts.

You can be a legend if you are a Newbie, Junior member or Member. Your posts will decide you are a legend or a shit poster.

n0nce has very high merit/ post ratio and received merit with very first posts.

1411  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reusing an existing Ledger seed phrase on: July 15, 2022, 03:53:47 AM
Reuse address is bad. Reuse old wallet is bad too.

You can create a new wallet and send your Bitcoin to a new wallet.

It's better if you use Sweep function. You don't have to create a new wallet and manually send your coin to a new address you own. Sweeping will automatically do it for you.

In Electrum:
Wallet > Private keys > Sweep

Read Electrum guide

Sweeping private keys means to send all the bitcoins they control to an existing address in your wallet. The private keys you sweep do not become a part of your wallet. Instead, all the bitcoins they control are sent to an address that has been deterministically generated from your wallet seed.

1414  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 💜 — Predict the BTC price 🚀 250 mBTC prize pool on: July 15, 2022, 12:25:36 AM
Maybe Whatsapp is much promoted than any other platform but what I notice here or even on other users Telegram is much used since the simplicity of the platform really make them easy to use even by newbie users. But its good if Bitcasino will also have presence on whatsapp since this could increase more their user base as whatsapp have good number of users to.
Different people who have different interests will use different applications for messaging and platforms for their works or entertainment.

Telegram is the most favorite messenger application for cryptocurrency enthusiasts. The next favorite app for them (and gamers too) is Discord.

Whatsapp is more chosen for non cryptocurrency enthusiasts, non gamers. It is in the bottom, not in between of Telegram and Discord.

Like or dislike one application is not good or bad, it is personal choice but as a company, Bitcasino.io team have to allocate their resources for moderation if they create new channels. If they don't see too many users use Whatsapp, they will not create that channel.

In addition, you should realize that Bitcasino.io team are very professional and they have many subsidiary Twitter accounts for different languages, different national communities, all are verified with blue tick. With this professional management, I don't believe they will simply create a Whatsapp group and leave it without moderation.
1415  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 💜 — Predict the BTC price 🚀 250 mBTC prize pool on: July 14, 2022, 03:41:29 PM
In my country, everyone uses Whatsapp to communicate with family & friends and no one uses telegram for day to day communication. Only few people uses telegram for joining crypto groups or any other specific groups but it is not as popular as Whatsapp. Although telegram has more features as compared to WhatsApp but the trend among people is to use WhatsApp.
It's local and personal favorite.

I wonder if Bitcasino has a presence on whatsapp also?
They don't have Whatsapp yet. They have Telegram only.

I don't think having too many social media channels with same users is good because with each channel, the casino must have moderators to keep it clean and give users support. One moderator or one moderator team can not handle too many channels.

Discord, Telegram, Whatsapp have similar functions but if I choose, I would choose Discord, not Telegram. I don't use Whatsapp, never.
1416  Other / Meta / Re: Report plagiarism (copy/paste) here. Mods: please give temp or permban as needed on: July 14, 2022, 03:35:15 PM
Some plagiarism seems very hard to pinpoint. I saw posts that seem like plagiarism but come from Full Member with a lot of merits or high-rank users like you said. It seems like plagiarism to me because there is a stark difference between their posts on certain topics like sport or soccer, etc vs posts when they address people's opinions and discuss topics on the bitcointalk.
Plagiarism is idea-steal and ignore original authors.

Many types of plagiarism.
- is it plagiarism?
- New sort of plagiarism
- Text spinning/disguised plagiarism
1417  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there any Specific Boards for newbies to Make Posts/Comments? on: July 14, 2022, 03:20:33 PM
just curious, what about archival? I remember reading somewhere that archival is also one of the boards where newbies can't post/create a thread and I remember trying it too. did that change or do newbies only need a certain amount of activity in order to be able to post/create a thread on archival?
The word implies that board is for old things and the forum has a very short description for that board "old stuff".

Forum members use Archival for testing, old stuffs and are fine, they don't break forum rules but storing old stuffs is a main use case for Archival.
1418  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🦊 Betnomi.com | Sportsbook & Casino 🎲⚽ on: July 14, 2022, 03:09:44 PM
The only complaint I have against the site is sometimes there is a delay in payment, otherwise no issues on my end.
It seems withdrawal on Betnomi has to be approved manually. I made withdrawals too and it took a several of hours to be approved so I agree with your complaint here.

Even my withdrawal is not from my won bet, there is still a long waiting time.

1420  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🦊 Betnomi.com | Sportsbook & Casino 🎲⚽ on: July 14, 2022, 04:07:36 AM
Betnomi is not a scam site. Something like this can happen for you to break some rules. Do you use multiple accounts here? Or do you access this site with vpn? If you think that everything is fine with you.  Yet you are facing problems. Then you contact the support team.  They will give you a quick solution to your problem.
Betnomi is not scam.

They are upgrading their casino technically and maybe in mean time, there will be lags and worse performance than usually. It can cause worse experience but it does not create scam.

Contact support and wait for response from Betnomi team. Your support ticket must be handled in order and you can not ask instant support. If you open your support ticket after others, you must wait.
