MicroStrategy is a very strongly convincing example of successful DCA practice. They have been doing Dollar Cost Averaging many months since 11 August 2020, nearly exactly three years ago.

Details of MicroStrategy DCA Balance Sheet

You can make estimations for your DCA plan with https://dcabtc.com/ or can create accounts on Coinmarketcap.com, Coingecko.com to simulate DCA and see results.

If Roma does not find the funds for Jose Mourinho's wishes, I will be very surprised. Already in the middle of last season, rumors were pouring into the press about Jose's dissatisfaction with the club's transfers and I was very surprised when it turned out that Mourinho remained at the club. This means that the head coach was promised strong transfers. No matter how much Lazio fans laugh at Mourinho, Mourinho leads Roma to titles. And some of the players, at least the Dybala, remain in the club only because of the presence of the frantic Jose as coach.
I am not sure about it.

From transfermarkt.com data for AS Roma transfer in 2023 - 2024 season, they have many players returned to their club after end of loan contracts. They only have three new players so far, two players are free transfers and one player is from a loan.

They have yet paid any amount of money for transfers in this summer and with one month left, it's impossible to see Roma spends too big transfer money. Three players they have gotten so far from this summer transfer are: Ndicka, Aouar (free transfers) and Kristensen (a loan).

603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there anyone know how many bitcoins disappear forever? on: August 05, 2023, 01:52:25 AM
Maybe you still haven't figured out what Bitcoin is. Bitcoin is a blockchain based decentralized currency which allows you to be your own bank.
Any bitcoin in any wallet will remain there unless it's moved by the actual owner or you give your private keys to someone.

Bitcoin does not disappear, it just stays in the account. You cannot destroy Bitcoin, it can only be transferred from one account to another.
Access to wallets and bitcoins can be changed hands, recovered by some future advanced recovery services or compromised, we don't know about it now. We only assume very long inactive bitcoins have high chances of belong to people who lost access to those wallets and bitcoins.

Quote
And the amount of "lost" bitcoins, maybe you mean the accounts which no one can access now, cannot be calculated however you can check which accounts are inactive for maybe 10 years?
We only can use HODL waves for estimations which are only estimations and don't represent exact amount of forever lost bitcoins.

We can use 10 years like you suggested, 8 years, 6 years or 5 years, any period that arbitrarily chosen by each person. Not all bitcoins inactive for like last 10 years are lost bitcoins and those coins can be woken up anytime in future.
604  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Beginners, you don't need Bitcoin first on: August 04, 2023, 01:16:34 PM
Yes, it's not just beginners who like to look at the price of bitcoin every few minutes.
It is a bad habit and not only newbies have that addictive habit. Unfortunately, it is not easy to get rid of any bad habit after you fell into it and get addiction. Looking at price charts are very interesting with newbies and amateur traders as they feel like they will die or will lose in trading if they don't look at the chart every minute.

They don't know a secret fact in trading, a more times you look at price chart, the more psychological impacts on your trading and the more you will easily make emotional positions for your trades.

Quote
So yes, for a beginner, Bitcoin will definitely be the best start in his investment. And then it will be necessary to work on increasing investments, since buying several thousand dollars worth of bitcoin will really not bring tangible results.
Bitcoin is a best for newbies to start but we must emphasize that start with investment, buy and hold. If they start with trading, buy and trade their bitcoin, it's not good and  they will lose their bitcoins.

606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: August 04, 2023, 04:45:43 AM
But it is still a loss for Modric when he chooses loyalty. The Real Madrid club could only extend his contract for another year. Maybe he will retire here. While his contemporaries were still working hard to earn money in small tournaments.
I believe Modric's decision to reject offer from Saudi Arabia and to stay in Real Madrid is not simply because of his loyalty for Real Madrid. It is partially caused by his ambition to play at highest levels, win biggest titles and his intention to continue playing for his national team. I guess Modric does not want to move to Saudi Arabia and lose chances to play at highest level that can impact his performance for Croatia. He just came closely to a title with Croatia weeks ago and probably still wants to fight for a champion title with Croatia before a retirement.

Quote
Contemporary with Modric, I am also a massive fan of this player. He has talent, loyalty and has helped this club win big trophies. He also underestimated the salary the Arab Professional League paid him.
It is a brave decision from Modric and his love for Real Madrid, his loyalty dedicated to the club are uncountable.
607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: What happend to the mempool on the July 22nd ? on: August 03, 2023, 02:16:13 PM
It is a good opportunity for anyone who wants to reduce fees by reducing the number of inputs.
They can prepare for their future transactions with less number of inputs like your advice, by consolidating small inputs. Consolidation should be done with cheap transaction fee. If in future, they must move their bitcoin when mempools are more loaded with higher fee rate, they can accept higher fee rate but with less inputs, they will save transaction fee.

Assuming both mempools dropped a lot of tx as they've reached the max size at the same time why hasn't the mempool filed up back again with transactions lover than 2sat/b as I don't doubt there are nodes with far more space than 300MB that would have still held them in their own pool and broadcast them??
There are many mempools and each mining pools will have their full nodes and own settings for their mempools and how long they will drop unconfirmed transactions in their mempools.

Usually it is 14 days but mempools can be set to be shorter or longer.

Code:
mempoolexpiry=336
They can set it to 336 hours (14 days) and change it to longer or shorter.

Guardiola really wants to keep Bernardo Silva at Manchester City, he has contributed greatly to Manchester City success in winning the treble winner last season. City really hope the star who operates in the central area stays at the club for a few more seasons, but they cannot force it if the player wants to seek new challenges with other clubs. Barcelona offer to swap Bernardo Silva with De Jong needs to be considered, De Jong has the same character as Silva in playing his role in the central area.
Bernado Silva can play at different positions and he is very adaptive, flexible with different tactics. Pep definitely needs Bernado Silva for Manchester City's tactical operations and I do not say he will not find solutions to replace Bernado Silva but surely he will have to deal with some difficulty to replace the player either just temporarily or permanently.

De Jong is midfielder with different skills than Bernado Silva and he has his style to play with too low intensity which does not match with Manchester City style. Bernado Silva can provide more direct attacking power for Manchester City and he can infiltrate into defense system of opponent while De Jong plays too far from opponent's box.

Quote
Guardiola has just brought in Kovacic to fill the position of Gundogan who chose to go to Barcelona, Silva departure can be tricked by the player exchange offered by Barcelona. De Jong is reliable and is used to playing with a short passing style of play, I think Manchester City should consider this offer to maintain balance in the midfield.
Again I see Kovacic has very different skills than Gundogan and they don't have many similarities in their skills and playing styles. With Kovacic and De Jong as replacements for Bernado and Gundogan, Manchester City will have less flexible attacking power and even worse ability to break through opponent defense.

It's not a matter whether the transfer window is still open or not, but suddenly changing the old midfielders with the new midfielders mostly will not work. It take time like 2-3 seasons to built up, the situation is similar like Real Madrid. Kroos, Modric and Casemiro were solid midfielders, but when Casemiro leaving and Modric get older, Tchouameni, Camavinga and Valverde are the next generation who will replace them.

Currently only Valverde is really performing in Real Madrid, Tchouameni and Camavinga are still struggling.
Valverde already had a solid position in Real Madrid and only Camavinga, Tchouameni will need to train more, play better to be matured and good enough to take over positions in midfield area of Real Madrid from Kroos and Modric. Camavinga looks good and he can replace Modric but I am not sure about Tchouameni who will need to work harder to prove himself.
610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: August 02, 2023, 05:09:00 AM
In his first season with Manchester City, Erling Haaland won the UEFA Champions League. He's unpredictable and possesses the fundamental characteristics of a striker; all Pep Guardiola needs to do is devise fresh techniques to deploy against opponents. Erling Haaland is an outstanding objective goal machine for Manchester City, and his signing was primarily due to his confidence and outstanding positioning in front of goal. He scored a solid number at Etihad Stadium, and he hopes to score more; there is virtually no limit to what he can accomplish in his new squad.
With his first season in Manchester City, Haaland won three titles including two big ones, Premier League and Champions League. He also won a personal award as a best scorer in the league and more impressively he broke the all time record for best scorer many years ago. To sum up, Haaland actually achieved some big things after leaving Dortmund and he is young, professional and ambitious enough to improve himself in future.

The success of Haaland makes some other star players like Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe lost their patience with their clubs and want to move to bigger clubs. With Kane, he wants to join Bayern Munich and with Mbappe he wants to participate in Real Madrid. Mbappe has more drama than Kane but I believe both star players will have new clubs to play in September.

Xavi made a great team in this season for Barcelona and when they were in a bad situation he survived whole the team while other teams like Real Madrid were in better situations and they could even hire better players and they even had a coach with the better situation and more experience like Anceloti, but still Barcelona win the last La Liga title.
I think if Xavi continue this magic for the next season they can even have the chance to even win the champions league title.
Barcelona are not competitive enough in Champions League and Xavi is not experienced enough as a coach for tough tournaments like Champions League. They must improve together to play better in Champions League. It is irrelevant to compare Xavi and Ancelotti at coach positions as well as compare Barcelona and Real Madrid in terms of their ability to compete in Champions League. Ancelotti and Real Madrid are more experienced and successful than Barcelona and recent years, they have been stronger and playing better there too.
611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: August 01, 2023, 03:54:12 AM
Saudi is just starting to get involved in European player transfers, so anything could happen.. It's caused by saudi gonna try that even harder than before to recruit more and best players that can push the name of this league. People were skeptical of Ronaldo's move, but the Saudi club's successful recruitment of players with high salaries has proven doubters wrong. I remind you that saudi has unlimited money from oil and various commodities.
Clubs from Saudi Professional League with their deep pockets for player transfers and salary are changing the global transfer market. More players including star players from Europe who are playing for biggest clubs, want to join Saudi Professional League. It's hard and even impossible for big clubs in Europe to compete with Saudi Arabian clubs in play salary offers. They have to consider cost and benefit as well as their clubs' financial balance sheets while Saudi Arabian clubs don't have such concerns.

In a much as we want to see the Saudi Arabian League become one of the biggest and toughest leagues in the world, we must also not forget that there might be some future financial challenges considering the huge amount of money they've spent on bringing European based superstars to the Saudi league.
For a fact, the players are gonna bring unprecedented quality to the league but what I think should be a major concern is if the clubs that signed these players can continue to fund the players' wages in the future
Months ago, only Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Professional League but now they already have dozen of star players in the league. More star players will join them and their league potentially will have big jump in quality.

I am concerning about how long will they be able to maintain these transfer and salary strategies? I believe they will be able to do it longer than Chinese clubs and their chance to succeed to enhance their league quality is bigger than Chinese Super League.
612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: August 01, 2023, 03:45:15 AM
For next season I doubt with Barcelona can defend their La Liga tittle because they loss several players but not active for signing potential player. Ousmane Dembele have confirmed for joining PSG next season and Barcelona can't find right replacement on left or right position filled by Dembele. I think Rea Madrid have bigger chance winning La Liga tittles next season after improvement their squad.
The next season, La Liga will be another dual race between Barcelona and Real Madrid like the past season. Barcelona will get more challenge from Real Madrid as Los Blancos will have some new players from this summer transfer and they will become a stronger team in a coming season. Barcelona will have more concentration on Champions League after their failure in the last season. It might affect their focus on La Liga and give Real Madrid chances to take the trophy back.

Ousmane Dembélé has already agreed to terms with the bidding club, PSG, and the Frenchman hopes to join them this summer.
Dembele already wanted to leave Barcelona in the last summer but Xavi successfully convinced Dembele to stay in Camp Nou. Now it's time for him to leave Barcelona where his career was revived by Xavi management. In some past seasons, Dembele only brought disappointment to Barcelona with very little appearances, unprofessional in training and very limited contributions. He only became more useful after Xavi came and took over the coach position, then helped Dembele to play better in the club and even was called for French national squad.

After gaining some success with Barcelona, Dembele wants to leave so his loyalty for Barcelona is in doubt. Do you want to keep such players in your club? If I am Barcelona Sport director, I will let Dembele go and use money from his transfer to buy one or two young players.
613  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is copy trading a viable option for newcomers? on: August 01, 2023, 03:17:45 AM
It could be viable for short term but it will never be reliable in the long run.
When market makers change their games, the market trends will be changed and if you fail to exit your position, you will lose money.

Quote
Simply because trading has its own learning process so you should do it step by step and not just abruptly follow and copy trade. While it’s a choice for every trader, but as a beginner, you should always put a lot of efforts and hardwork if you want to learn seriously about trading.
Learning is very important but practice makes perfect. However, new traders must start with learning, not with practicing. Without knowledge, their practices will only bring pain and loss.

I honestly never tried these copy trading feature by simply copying of what other traders did, I wonder whether it really gives meaningful profits, but I just concerned with the fact that if we just set our own money to automatically follows what the other party decisions are doesn't that mean we could be used as a tool for them to make exit liquidity i think it should be of concern.
They are lazy to learn and to filter market to find chances for trading so they choose the easy way, relying on Copy Trade from someone to get profit and to save their time. I am not sure how many lazy and unknowledgeable traders can get profit from Copy Trade but I myself see it very risky.

If novice traders don't want to develop their own trading skills, maybe copying other people's trades is their quick way to make instant profits.
They want profit but don't want to learn, don't want to pay money for learning from good trading courses or books so they have to pay more expensive cost for their loss in the market. It is more painful than spending money to enrich their trading knowledge but it's their choices, like you said, and we can not change their minds.

I think majority of the Bitcoin ATM uses Debit/Credit card which means if the ATM machine the bandits took doesn't use cash deposit it will be a major disappointment for them and if peradventure it uses cash deposit they will never be as satisfied as they should because no matter how much they realise from the machine the feelings won't be compared to that they would have had if it was Bitcoin the were able to steal because the deposit made at the machine will be retrieved by the operators on interval base since it is only programmed to accept fiat and send Bitcoin in return to the wallet provided.
You use cash to buy Bitcoin at Bitcoin ATMs.
You see in the following article, there is no bank cards to use and trade at Bitcoin ATMs that only have cash. If you need bank cards to use at Bitcoin ATMs, is it better than using banks and bank ATMs? KYC will be required and if you are Bitcoin user, more or less you don't like KYC.

I can't even believe it. Dembele gave green light for PSG's proposal, which is unbelivable thing. I thought that he was very loyal to the barcelona but it seems he changes his mind about stay in barcleona for another season.
Here's we go dembele gonna leaves from barcelona and join in PSG under luis enrique. My guess if he was interesting to play under enrique. PSG can breathe a sigh of relief as the release clause for the player is not high, which is definitely positive news.
He is a French player and it is not bad to return to his homeland. Playing for PSG and returning to France sounds good if he wants to enjoy his time with his family in France. In addition, PSG are not worse than Barcelona in quality and competitiveness in Champions League if don't say they are better. Salary, I am sure Dembele will receive higher salary in PSG than what he is receiving from Barcelona.

Joao Felix is a prominent player who should be given adequate playing time, but as a result of recent developments, he has been denied this and is being used as a backup player, which is rapidly eroding the player's skills and abilities. He keeps fighting to make the first squad, but the head coach, Diego Simeone, fails to reimburse concentration.
Joao Felix is like an overvalued player and we can see it from his performances for Athletico Madrid, Chelsea and Portugal. He has never shown that he deserves a very high transfer cost which was paid by Athletico Madrid years ago.

If Joao Felix failed in Chelsea, he is not good enough and maybe Diego Simeone was right by not using Joao Felix too often in his club. In Portuguese national team, Joao Felix did not play too well too. If you need example, World Cup 2022 is not his good show.
617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: July 31, 2023, 03:44:18 AM
There are still many more names which are rumoured to leave Bayern Munich these days. Sommer, Gnabry, Davies and Goretzka are the most rumoured ones lately. Gravenberch is also likely to leave. If they lose all of these players they had better have a plan to fill their places in the squad. It is important for them to keep the squad quality as high as possible.
Gnarby and Davies are still young enough and well enough to play for Bayern Munich. I understand if Bayern want to sell Sommer and Goretzka but I disagree if they want to do the same for Gnarby and Davies. In pandemic, Davies grew up quickly and contributed to help Bayern Munich winning Champions League. He did not play too well in the last season but as said he is young and his performance is at least acceptable in quality.

Quote
Otherwise bringing a solid striker won't be enough by itself clearly. They want to bring back their full domination and the first thing to do is this. After that it is up to Tuchel to make sure his game plan works with minimum number of problems for this team.
Bringing a good striker is the least they must complete in this summer. The departure of Lewandowski brought a lot of issues in their attacking system as Choupo-Moting could not completely replace Lewandowski. Bayern Munich will be stronger in attacking if they have Harry Kane from Tottenham in this summer and it looks the deal is nearly completed from their negotiation.

By the way, I heard rumours from local media in my country. Inter Milan and Bayern Munich has already discussed about agreement Yann Sommer, but Bayern Munich must find first a replacement goalkeeper to release that player. If that rumours I've heard are true, then maybe Yann Sommer could land at Inter soon, but still depending on Bayern Munich because they must find the right candidate for goalkeeper position.
Buying Yann Sommer is a smart transfer for Inter Milan as the Swiss goalkeeper is very good and experienced with very strong mentality. He will be very useful for Inter Milan after they sold Onana to Manchester United with big price, then buying Sommer with cheaper price is smart idea. However it is not smart with Bayern Munich as they will have to look for another goalkeeper and I am sure cost will not be cheap.
618  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 30, 2023, 02:57:44 PM
Whatever happens, they always come back a lot more stronger and I believe that they are going to do the same once again. I am not saying that they are going to be champions right away, but remember when they went to Serie B and then came back and won 9 times. It's never logical to put your foot on a tigers neck and then take it off, they pissed them off and that means Juventus will come back with everything they have.
It belongs to politics and massive attacks against Juventus because they are one of big clubs in Europe that joined the Super League plan with Real Madrid. Now they are banned to play in European leagues in a next season and by proactively refused to join Conference League, they will focus on Serie A. They will be very dangerous in Serie A 2023 - 2024 as they only have it to fight and generally they are competitive enough to win it.

Quote
They are going to figure out a way to fix the financial situation, they are going to end up growing bigger and they will once again end up getting a lot better results. I would say be ready to see them win the title back to back many times again in a few seasons, they will try to find anyway to make that happen.
Juventus won't have financial crisis and winning Serie A, joining Champions League again will help them to improve their income. They are still in a better condition than Calciopoli 2006 and had to play in Serie B.
619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: July 30, 2023, 08:36:31 AM
According to transfermarkt, there is a high chance for Yann Sommer to play in Inter Milan, especially because they lost Onana to Manchester United and he can be their first goalkeeper in the next season.

Bayern Munich will not let Yann Sommer go to Inter Milan if they don't have another good goalkeeper to replace him. Especially they did not spend big money to get Yann Sommer in the last winter transfer window. Another possibility is Inter Milan sent a good bid to Bayern Munich as Bayern Munich need money to complete their deal with Tottenham to buy Harry Kane.

it looks like Inter Milan will surprise their fans because after Onana left here and it looks like Yann Sommer has a chance to go to Inter and has a 67% chance that is very convincing. TBH, Im actually a little unsure about Yann Sommer performance, its just that Inter made me a little sure because deciding to sign him meant there was a chance for Yann Sommer to become the best goalkeeper next season at Inter Milan.
I dont know if this will come true or just a rumor but looking at the statistics makes me more sure.
Yann Sommer surely is a good goalkeeper and after selling Onana to Manchester United, Inter Milan need to find a new one. Yann Sommer is a guarantee for quality and stability so Inter Milan will not have much risk by buying him. The rest thing is how much does it cost for Yann Sommer is reasonable and acceptable with Inter Milan?

He is already 34 years old and the estimated transfer price is only €5.00m that is not expensive and Inter Milan can buy him. Inter Milan can use small part of €52.50m from Onana transfer to buy Sommer.
620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin recover even if it fell to one dollar? on: July 30, 2023, 08:27:33 AM
First of all it is highly doubtful that Bitcoins value can drop so low and reach the price of $1. But even if this happen, then nothing bad is going to happen. We have already been in situation when Bitcoin cost $1. Somehow people believed in it, and its price managed to rise to $68k. It this happened once, then this can be repeated. In addition, I cant imagine reason or situation when there will such a huge price drop. If Bitcoin price fells to $1, then it means stop of mining, stop of Bitcoin life. But Bitcoin is an unstoppable mechanism.
If Bitcoin drops to $1 from $30,000, it is still x36 better than what LUNC dropped in its death spiral in May 2022. However I believe we can use the Terra Classic death spiral and its drop to think of possible reasons that can cause Bitcoin loses its value and drops to $1.

It might happen if something really bad happens on Bitcoin network. If it happens, it is impossible for Bitcoin to recover and reclaim $30,000 again. Fortunately, risk to see 51% attacks is not high so scenario to see it falls to $1 is unrealistic.
