861  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Question/Help!] Bitcoin Transaction Fee Discrepancy on: May 10, 2023, 12:16:57 PM
In Mycellium wallet, you can choose Bitcoin miner fee priority

Low-priority
Economic
Normal
Priority

What did you choose?

I don't like those options as I don't know how they are set. I would like to self-set fee rate by myself. Mycellium does not have different options for fee rate estimation like Electrum wallet with ETA, Mempool, Static.

Why don't use Electrum wallet which is available for mobile too?

One disadvantage, Mycelium wallet does not support Replace-by-Fee but they support Child-Pay-For-Parents. CPFP is more expensive than RBF but Mycelium wallet claims that they support a feature to Bump fee (but unfortunately it is CPFP, not RBF).
Bump-fee option (child-pays-for-parents algorithm)

Why I can't turn off the 2FA of my account?
I'm currently using an Android device.
I need to set it up on my new device.
It means you did not back up your 2FA activation code. Now you are in trouble and after get out of it, you must learn a lesson to backup 2FA code for next times.

Based on my experience on removing 2FA. It needs a confirmation via email or cooldown time to successfully remove it as safety precaution that your account is not hacked.
If you are a real account owner and still have access to your current 2FA and email which was used for that account registration, you will succeed to reset your 2FA. It takes time but you will succeed eventually.

However as I advised, always backing up your 2FA activation code, for Gamdom, other casinos and cryptocurrency exchange accounts. You must fully control your 2FA, activate it, removing it, resetting it.

You might have a fake channel open that  wants you to click on a phishing link. We have seen this before and you should be very careful.

Scammers create fake channels and invite real stake players just to steal their login.

As far as I know there are 2 official stake channels called stake.com-play smarter as well as stake.com - VIP Notices, that’s it. I checked both and there is not one single word about the monthly for weeks.
I failed to find links to Stake's official Telegram groups or channels on their casino website and their Twitter.

I visited their forum and found only one channel from their forum banner (at the right side).
https://t.me/Stakelivechallenges

I don't know why Stake.com team decided to not add link of their Telegram channel on their website (community links) and Twitter.
865  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Highest Record Bitcoin Transactions, What does this indicate? on: May 04, 2023, 01:20:22 AM
I don't know any of those ordinals or whatever, those are beyond me and I never been interested in it. But I am %100 sure that this increase has something to do with the fact that we were 16k just a few months ago, and now we managed to pass 30k and still close it to even today. Sure there are spikes due to some unexpected stuff, I am not saying this is all about what's going on, but at the end of day we are talking about something that is as fun as it gets with the price as well.
Ordinals can make noise and make inexperienced people think that they are contributing to Bitcoin recovery. They are not and they are only small part of Bitcoin communities and its ecosystem. It is debatable that whether Ordinals should be considered as part of Bitcoin ecosystem. Technically, they are but in eyes of Bitcoin maximalists, they are not.

Without Ordinals, Bitcoin will still recover from the bottom area and will reclaim its all time high, make its new all time high in 2024 bull run.

Plus, the world economy is going terrible so when you consider that it is not going to suffer that much, I feel like that should not really be a big deal, it feels like it can be pretty good and the following up days could continue to be this well too. I can't say if it will, but it may go break more and more records.
It's terrible and more than two years since the pandemic, some massive global effects have been gradually seen very negatively and harmful for some first affected industries. Starting with bank industry and I am sure there will be domino effects in near future.
866  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: increasing number of transactions due to Brc-20? on: May 04, 2023, 01:10:48 AM
Ordinals attack on Bitcoin network is not new. It happened months ago and caused overload of Bitcoin mempools but you saw one week ago, mempools were cleared after a few months.

Unfortunately, after that, very shortly after that mempool clearance, we are witnessing its congestion again. Again it is caused by Ordinals but I have positive feeling with Bitcoin mempools. Basically my belief comes from unsustainable of meme coins which won't be able to keep their hot attraction for too long.

Mempools will be cleared in future when those BRC-20 meme tokens are no longer hot in meme communities.

See mempool history in last 6 months:
https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#BTC%20(default%20mempool),6m,weight

It was congested in early February, cleared in late February. Congested again in early March and only was cleared in late April (2 months later). Will I have problem to wait 1 or 2 month for cheaper transaction fee, I won't.
867  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODLing Bitcoin isn't merely an "investment" on: May 03, 2023, 03:14:15 PM
BUT we shouldn't forget that simply HODLing/owning Bitcoin could also be a kind of political movement, because its features could make Bitcoin weaken or break down political strongholds.

It might be premature to call it a revolutionary movement, but what were the motivations of the early cypherpunks when they were building their tools? Satoshi's message in the Genesis Block is also political.
Bitcoin is no longer a non-political issue for governments. Years ago, they did not care about it too much but many years ago, CIA already spent $3000 for Gavin to present about Bitcoin to CIA. It is political.

Last few weeks, Gensler, Chair of SEC. had to make a testimony at the USA. Congress, it's political.

In the USA. 2024 President Election and propaganda before it, Bitcoin will be one of political issues for President candidates and their campaigns to run to the White House.
868  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I won £50 - should I use it to buy Bitcoin? on: May 03, 2023, 02:28:55 PM
I won £50 in this month's draw, and the money will be paid into my bank account, and it is tax free. Now what should I do with the money? I could use it to buy more bonds, as the minimum purchase amount is only £25. Alternatively I could buy a few Satoshi, as I believe that we will see a sharp rise in the price of Bitcoin later this year, or perhaps early next year.
Do you really think that buying bond now is a good idea?

In last two months, many banks have troubles and even collapsed because of bonds. I think it is better if you use that £50 amount to buy bitcoin. At least, it will be surely that you will make the £50 to £100 at least because Bitcoin will reclaim its $69,000 all time high in next bull run. For higher price like $90,000 or $120,000, I am unsure but if it happens, you will make your £50 to £150 or £200.
869  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: May 03, 2023, 02:23:56 PM
It's more exciting to join now because of the additional winners plus a chance to qualify for the free spins. Roobet is so generous to the participants and also thanks to Hhampuz for the initiative to have these changes (additional winners and free spins) for the this art contest.
Free spins will help to build stronger bonds between Roobet and art contest participants.

Rather than taking money from the art contest and use it somewhere else, they will have free spins to play at Roobet and explore more about the casino. It is helpful for them to get more ideas for their future art works too. I believe that if they spend more time on Roobet, even only with free spins, they will have more creative ideas for their arts as they will understand about more games on Roobet.
870  Economy / Gambling / Re: Livecasino.io - 🔥 up to 20% cashback🔥up to 20% rakeback 🚨 instant withdrawals on: May 03, 2023, 02:15:35 PM
Afaik the main discussion is not about adding new payment system, but it is just like a system to show user's balance in different currencies and make users able to bet using the currency as they wish.
Means that the casino do not need to setup payment option for fiat deposit, what the casino need to do is just to add more currencies in the option below:

Currently in livecasino, there are 4 currencies to choose in Livecasino as above screenshot and the main discussion above is to add IDR in this option, not to add payment method with fiat.
You meant about equivalent display of user fund in different fiat currencies in order to help them knowing that with like 0.001 BTC or 0.01 ETH, how much does it equal to their fiat currency.

I guess it is what you proposed but another possibility is you proposed a Conversion tool on Livecasino which help users to convert their BTC, ETH ... to a chose fiat currency before betting.

What is your exact proposal, the first or the second one? The first one is simpler and more easily to do for Livecasino. The second one requires more works as well as users will have to accept price gaps from Conversion.

Good to see an another art contest launched by Roobet, this time there's no break for 1-2 months like before Cheesy
In addition, Roobet team and their manager decided to make some changes in their prize pools and free spins will be awarded to winners. Free spins will be bonuses for art contest participants and you don't need to be Roobet art contest winners to get free spins.

I recalled that weeks ago, Hhampuz asked the community that what they want to see in future art contests. Now, community voice was listened by the manager and Roobet team and is converted to Free spin bonuses.
873  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 01, 2023, 09:33:41 AM
Yes, I concur. This season, it will be incredibly challenging to defeat a powerful and effective squad like Manchester City. Haaland, a capable striker for Manchester City who has been performing well this year, will likely finish first in the league in terms of goals scored. Manchester City has already won the Premier League, so in my opinion, no other team has a chance to win the league.
Given that Manchester City is performing far better than real Madrid, I'm not certain that real Madrid will be able to win their coming encounter in the Champions League.
With one point in gap with Arsenal and another match which potentially helps Manchester City to expand it to four points, even if Arsenal beat Manchester City in their direct match, it is not enough for Arsenal to catch Manchester City.

Three draws with some careless mistakes from their players when they could win those matches are bad for Arsenal. The season is no longer long enough for Arsenal to see Manchester City lose some points that are enough for Arsenal to surpass Manchester City.

They had an impressive season, they had chance to win Premier League but they wasted all chances by themselves. It is a big lesson for Arsenal players and their coach Mikel Arteta. Anyway this season is good for Arsenal and they already reclaimed their position as one of biggest and strongest clubs in Premier League after about one decade.
874  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Market is seasonal on: May 01, 2023, 09:24:28 AM
There are professionals or experts in trading but it does not mean that they are immune to losses. The only reason why they are termed like that is because they have gained lots of experience and they are now familiar on different things here in the trading.

This makes their winning rate higher than the average users and they can now mentor the newbies in the scene. Investment has its own risk. You only think it's easy but it was actually hard. One may not stick on his plan and that is the time they will experience a loss.
Many people trade daily but they over trade and they are always in the market. They usually don't exit the market and take a rest to have time to refresh their minds and have enough time as well as neutral mind to think of the market by analyzinita withouta personal emotion because of their existing positions which can be in profit or loss.

Most of traders are failed traders in the market and having a good win rate does not mean you will have net profit. If you are bad in capital management, one loss can turn your positive net profit to a negative one. Like you start with $100, win 10 trades and make your trading capital to $300. But if you use all $300 for your 11th trade and lose it big, yoiuu might end it with even less than $100 that is your initial trading capital.

Season does change but what is its connection to the market? However crypto market has their own seasons too. That is the bull and the bear.
Professional traders do their works when market is dynamic with waves, they don't mind that it is a bull or bear market. If they see waves, they will trade but if they don't see wave, they stay inactively.
875  Other / Off-topic / Re: Transaction tracking on: May 01, 2023, 03:42:14 AM
First you have to tell us how did you make that purchase. Where you made that deal.

If it is a peer to peer trade without Escrow in between you and your trade partner, I am sure you were scammed and you lost your USDT for nothing (as so far you did not receive your bitcoin which you wanted to buy with your USDT).

If it is a Peer-to-Peer marketplace, with a Escrow service, how did you make that purchase? Did you click on Paid button to mark the trade as You already made your payment. This step is very important to prevent the trade to expire as well as let the system knows that you paid it and that amount of bitcoin will be locked in Escrow and won't be returned to your trade partner. You will receive your coins after the trade partner click on Release or if you win a dispute for that trade and the system will release coin for you.
876  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you had a time traveling machine, then? on: April 30, 2023, 12:09:36 PM
If you could travel back in time today, what would you do?
If the world has had a time traveling machine, many things would have not been like what we have now. Fortunately we don't have such time-traveling machine and the world is organically going as it should be.

With time-traveling ability, nobody loses their bitcoins because of losing their wallet password or seed, private key. No bitcoin amount is lost by those reasons and the total supply of Bitcoin will always be 21M as well as the total circulating supply is always the same as the amount of mined bitcoins.

Many people won't lose their bitcoins because they sold cheap in the past or from forced liquidations.

In general  I believe it will only cause Bitcoin to have lower price than it has now. Not good at all for anyone.

[LIST] Open Source Hardware Wallets
[BIG LIST] Hardware wallets (80+)

You don't must to buy hardware wallet if your budget is not enough to buy a good one. You should try to save your cost by looking for discount hardware wallet like second-hand ones. You should not buy hardware wallets from unofficial stores and sources as they can set up back-doors to steal your coins later.

If you can afford a budget to buy it from official stores, it is good and you should do it.
If you can not afford such budget, you can use multi-sign wallet or cold wallet for free software wallet like Electrum. No risk from back-doors.

Its really frustrating to see a lot of users who aim to use other people money to trade and then loses it.
If you are trading on behalf of other people because they don't know how to trade cryptocurrencies, you are doing something really stupid and risky.

I don't need to know how good or bad your trading skills are and what is your experience with cryptocurrency trading but trading on behalf of others will contain more pressure than trading for yourself with your capital.

Because the others don't have knowledge, don't understand about this market, they will feel panic when they read news by chance, and they will call you to ask why it happened, is it safe to continue owning cryptocurrency, should they exit this market and more funny but headache questions for you. I am sure you won't want to take risk and pressure like that.
879  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading not a get rich quick on: April 28, 2023, 09:39:42 AM
It is another story to warn people about risk of storing their cryptocurrencies in online accounts.

From FTX & their CEO SBF, Three Arrows Capitals, etc. and some recent collapsed banks, we see that we can not trust any company which holds customer funds and how they use those funds. We don't know their activities are good enough to keep their companies and our money safely enough.

That CFO is bad because stealing customer fund to trade but even if they don't steal our money but like collapsed banks, they failed to manage risk and we at the end have to bear losses from their bad management.

Reminder: do not keep your money in online accounts

Signature campaigns are not moderated by the forum like scam are not moderated here.

I don't think it will be deployed by theymos. By limitations and difficulty with SMF forum software and his limited time to moderate the forum and code for the forum upgrade.

Your proposal looks cool and convenient for forum users who want to join signature campaign but can not access computer when they want to copy the code.

If you are on phone, don't copy it directly from a post, but click on quote and copy it. With quote, you can more easily to scroll up and down to cut the part you want to copy.

It can be done with SMF patch or userscripts from forum community coders.
