At the moment the momentum is with bitcoin. We'll have to see how things pan out. If the rally continues up to $6 - 7k, it could push ETH above $400 and start a whole new round of fomo.

Defend Poloniex with devil's advocate all you want. I sure did. I loved them. And again, And ... I kind of did, again. Then finally, Tristan D'Angosta's [persistent lack of] Customer Support, and cold neglect broke me. He makes well over $100 Million dollars a year. He can afford good Customer Support, right now. But he doesn't do it. I loved the platform too and made a sweet penny there, but I'd warn anyone away from them now. How a company this successful could so completely neglect its users boggles my mind.

Thought they said that they'd credit deposits up until August? Made one on 25th July (day of bust) and it's not showing on my balance.

Yeah, I'm back baby. My thanks to Cyrus! If you haven't already, make sure to stake your address. Best thing you can do to protect your account. And $4700? Today is a good day.

How can someone be so fucking wrong..... Also, what was the need to do that? Why put personal credibility on stake for nothing... unless he was shorting big time back then...
Yeah, it's ironic. He tried discrediting Bitcoin, but he ended up only discrediting himself. Was just after he joined R3CEV, so no doubt a FUD attempt at the behest of his new paymasters.

Perhaps a good time to remember cry-baby Hearn? 14th Jan 2016: $429.74.............................................................................
Bitcoin... has failed

The death spiral begins

Bitcoin has no future
| Bitcoin has entered [...] a crisis of the core system, the block chain itself.
| the long term trend should probably be downwards.
| the network is on the brink of technical collapse.

Um, more likely he'd wind up with a load of worthless shite that he can gaily send to himself back and forth while eating from his nosebag.
When will people like this figure out that the world will not revolve around them no matter what they attempt?
I implore him to dilute his influence through this ego-driven misadventure. #failwhale

Market cap of all crypto: $139B Market cap of Mastercard: $137B There are some things money can't buy. For everything else, there's crypto.

One thing is that the past 21 months have been so fucking amazing - really from $250 to $4190 - and even the 80% increase in the past couple of weeks. Amen to that. A life-changing 21 months.

Great thing about this rally is the corrections that are stopping it from going parabolic..but they do still make me panic a bit even though I'm in the black since a long time..
Looks potentially parabolic on the weekly log charts. 15K in a month would satisfy for me

Thanks. People who think that we may see sub $1000 or even sub $2000 (possibly, too early to tell) again are delusional at best. Just take a look recently what happened: 1) Major exchange is gone (BTC-e). 2) Biggest Bitcoin mixer is gone (bitmixer). 3) Several darkmarkets are gone.
What has Bitcoin been doing since these events occurred? Kept skyrocketing. The honey badger does not give a fuck and keeps storing wealth. Contradicting all those pundits who claimed BTC's value was dependent on crime. This is crazy!!!!!! Remember during the last crash when people were contemplating suicide. That time is probably just around the corner, but will be a much worse this time as we have mainstream media attention at a larger scale You don't even know what crazy is!!!!!! Seriously, you have no idea how high we could still go. Breaking ATH is massively bullish and growth rate is still increasing.

There needs to be an organized international class action against the FBI to recover the customer funds and other losses incurred.
Good luck trying to sue an arm of the U.S. government. Got about as much chance of success as Kim Jong-un winning the Nobel Peace Prize.

Is this "sell the news" or speculation that once SegWit gets activated there will be problems?
Or just the fact that the price stopped climbing so people will take this opportunity to sell some coins until the next leg up.
Probably the latter. We'll be back up soon enough though.

Good to see that they will likely repay users. A little surprised they lost so much due to fiat though. I'd have thought most value would be in their cold wallets which they presumably still hold control of. They stated all users have to do verification. There seems to be some confusion here if verification will apply to all withdrawals. My reading was that it would.

I feel old.
Can 2013'ers feel old? I secretly feel like a noob. 2011 - now that's where the beard bushes out and testicles descend to the knees.

Chart looks incredible now. Consolidation and continuation of exponential trend. Could go crazy high.

not working on my end
This page isn’t working
poloniex.com is currently unable to handle this request. HTTP ERROR 500
Confirm. Poloniex is still not working for me while i'm not using any vpn / proxy / tor etc. I'm afraid that after those issues would be solved it will cause a huge wave of panic withdraws and it's reputation may suffer. Double confirm. Logging in with 2FA leads to 500 page.

This is so confusing, users on Yobit exchange are already selling BCC and it is tanking as expected. If the fork has not happened yet, where on earth are they getting the BCC from? Can some please explain? Thanks!
Yobit pulls coins out of their ass, no joke.
