A society that breeds its least successful stock is one that will degenerate. How many in the WO have R0 > 1 for their DNA? Shockley was warning about this back in the 60s, although he couched it in terms of intelligence.
We shall reap what we've sowed (or not sowed!).

That thread is epic. Very first post asks what they will do when BTC hits $10k.
Got to give props to the second reply even if it appears the guy subsequently sold his account: I haven't been blessed. It was through my foresight that I saw bitcoin for how valuable it was. No man helped me along, and many discouraged me. Hon. mention for Marcus on page 2 as well

You throw us in the pit for dead, but we climb out.

Yeah, nobody messes with our WO bro Raja! All for one and one for all! Let's kick that petahash's ass! Oh oh, looks like we'll have to stock up on eye bandages in the first aid kit.

except mindrust. who did reveal his holdings (zero).
He's still alive?
|
|

Well actually holding is very easy like the first image. Just do not check the price of the coins. You know when you are going to need your coins to be used. After x years? Then come back after x years and see where you are.
You're basically just compressing all the up and downs along the route into one giant up/down at the end. I'm not sure that's better. I'd rather be informed along the route.

If we zoom in to last week, we see that in fact the red UTXO increase: And we see that in fact the situation returns to be "stable" in the 6/12M range, so those who sold had bought for less than 6 months. So it was #weakhands liquidation, because by crossing with the previous graph we see that they were at a loss. In my opinion they were longs strategically placed who had focused on halving, going into stop loss with the collapse of the market (triggered by other reasons in my opinion). The UTXO chart is still showing bitcoin at ~$8K. Need to wait for the feed to update before analysing the crash.

Why spend money covering lots of new stories when you can get away with only one? The media loves a simple news story that they can blanket cover for days on end. Cheap-to-produce, sensationalist journalism with little regard for wider consequences. I mean, if it wasn't for COVID-19, they'd still be blanket-bombing us with some 'news' about Harry and Megan ffs.
Oh, you didn't enjoy the verbal diarrhoea they devoted to that? What about the morning sickness of the Duchess of Cambridge, surely you were blown away by that?

order books are completely fucked up at the moment. everyone is using market orders
Traders are scrambling on the bids like those monkeys on that banana.

Seems like its time to weed out the chaff. Bitcoin out of the hands of its fair-weather friends and back to its rightful owners.

Bitcoin taught me to read charts and then sit gormlessly for hours focusing on a green bar.

The best defence is a good offence defence.

Be ready for hordes of nocoiners flooding the gates of Bitcointalk.org when halving and ATH come.
What's the best defence against a nocoiner: burning oil, flaming arrows, a good ol' pitchfork? (I know some nancy-boy will respond with knowledge and fine argument!)

The perfect time to sell is when you're dead. This way, your coins become lost and our wealth increases. Cheers.

Time for the bears to take down the decor and hand in the keys. It's over, you furry sacks of fat.
