There is many factors that determine the winner of the Ballon d'Or including winning the most important trophies. I think we all could agree that after World Cup and regional FIFA competitions like EURO, CONMEBOL... we find Champions League in terms of importance. Since there will not be World Cup until 2028 then EURO 2024 and Champions League will have heavy weight in the choice of the winner. Newcastle appears to be in a better form than Manchester united and in this match, and consider the recent losses Manchester united have against teams that are not as good as Newcastle I doubt if Manchester united is going to be able to face Newcastle heads on.
