1401  Economy / Gambling / Re: How best to report vulnerabilities? on: January 22, 2023, 12:09:27 PM
So I discovered a bug affecting a mode of play at OwlGames casinos that results in certain games rewarding more money than they should.  I tried to report it to OwlGames but was told that they have no bug bounty program and to "enjoy the bug" (not kidding).  (of course their docs say that any "exploit" can result in not being paid out, but it's not an exploit if it's simply how things run under the given conditions - not that that would stop them from screwing someone over I'm sure)

Their poor attitude certainly doesn't do much to make me want to help them out anymore although that was my intent.

But since it is only certain games, from 1 provider, should I try to contact that provider instead?  It's possible I imagine that it's not just OwlGames that might possibly lose money to the issue, though I really don't know.

I guess since these are casinos, losing a couple hundred to a few players every few days that would otherwise not have won anything maybe is just a drop in the bucket.  But I found it so strange that they immediately just alerted me that they have no bounty program.  Aren't casinos supposed to be pretty protective of their money even if they have a ton of it?  Huh

Anyone else have any experiences of trying to report issues like this?  I want to be rewarded for my time verifying the issue without taking advantage of it and alerting someone about it, too, so I'm also just worried about giving the info out and having them come up with some excuse like "oh it just needed a restart it's fine now, that's not a bug."

I know right. Even I remember once when I found one or two issues on a site which didn't have any bug bounty program.
I tried contacting the support but never received any response. I guess in these situations it's best to leave the bug just like that.
Now that money is involved here may be you can try posting it on their social media handles but even then if they don't care to fix the bug then just leave it as it is.
You have already done your job of informing them.
1402  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your take on this crypto gambling use case idea? on: January 22, 2023, 12:00:36 PM
Do you think it makes sense if a crypto gambling platform only accepts it's own token for gambling and gambling on it's platform? If the games they offer are one-of-a-kind, new, and addictive wouldn't this make the gambling token very valuable? I am asking on behalf of a friend who wants to build his own crypto gambling project on the blockchain. Will this work? Will this fail? What's your take on this?

The thing is that there are already so many gambling sites in the crypto market these days which already accepts so many coins.
When there are established crypto casinos which accepts wide range of coins then it becomes really hard for a new gambling site to survive which just offers their native token.
The chances are very slim and so I will recommend accepting most of the established altcoins and bitcoin.

I think the same, but "one-of-a-kind" sounds pretty interesting, so if some gambling platform comes out with new and unique games that can be very attractive. It's not easy and simple to create something "new & unique", so I guess that is a difficult part. Accepting just one coin for playing on the site is not a big issue, they can easily get some partnership with some exchange or swap service, so any deposit in any currency will be automatically exchanged for a house coin/token.

Speaking of which, when was the last time you played a new and unique gambling game? What game was it?

To be honest, I am not a fan of playing unique games. I tend to play the games which I am comfortable with.
My favorite games are dice, crash and wheel. So I keep playing these games occasionally.
Talking about the swap service then yes that's a good idea to accept multiple cryptocurrencies.
But I guess the developer doesn't want other cryptocurrencies than his native token.
That might lead to a downside since most users prefer to play with the options of multiple cryptocurrencies.
1403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥[GUNBOT] Trading Bot with 136 exchanges available!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 on: January 22, 2023, 11:45:01 AM
I checked the prices of gunbot on https://gunbot.vip/ but was able to find only lifetime purchases.
Don't we have it for purchase on monthly basis or weekly basis ?
Thought of trying it out for a month or two but don't want to purchase the lifetime membership.
I guess instead of making lifetime payments it would be more convenient to pay on monthly basis.
1404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin always shames social media experts. on: January 21, 2023, 03:05:25 PM
One unique feature of Bitcoin is that it always put social media acclaimed "experts" to shame. Sometimes these social media bitcoiners claim mastery over bitcoin. They indiscriminately predict its price as if they invented the coin with Satoshi. Even Satoshi now might not understand the price movement of Bitcoin because the creation is now economically powerful.

Through trial and error, some of them might have been predicted correctly in the past. And they have large followers that believe their analysis and follower their predictions.  One social media so-called expert recently shut down his social media platform because he predicted that bitcoin would keep falling until it goes into extinction. It was his followers that attacked him until he forcefully closed his page.

Happy bull run.

Ofcourse there are such social media influencers who will keep predicting crypto prices and keep failing.
The only time would be successful in predicting crypto prices would be when they are just lucky.
If only people could predict prices accurately then most people would be millionaires by now.
Our experience can definitely help us in judging the probabilities of price movements but predicting prices is just a guessing game.
1405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Shocks the World on: January 21, 2023, 02:53:44 PM
Ethereum Shocks the World: Half a Million Validators and Rising, Is Ethereum the Next Crypto King Or BTC?

tell me if it's a stupid question

I guess you are just overwhelmed with the amount of validators ETH is having.
Well, ETH is definitely a really good altcoin but it cannot surpass bitcoin any time soon.
The market cap of ETH is less than half of bitcoin. Even if somehow ETH manages to surpass bitcoin then it would take a huge amount of time for that.
I don't believe the fact that bitcoin will forever remain on top but it would take something extraordinary to happen for any coin to surpass bitcoin.
1406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH & DOT on: January 21, 2023, 02:36:10 PM
A few years ago, I sold PolkaDot at its own high point after steadily buying it.
From now on, I will continue to invest in PolkaDot and Ethereum again, what do you think about the future of these two coins?

Both ETH and DOT are really good coins. Both are established and have good potential.
But I would prefer investing in MATIC than DOT. Polygon has been making really nice developments and partnerships lately.
I guess it's good to diversify your portfolio and invest some in each of these coins if you are confused.

Just 3 days left for BTC and ETH price betting. This time the returns are quite good in the current price range.
Returns are even better for the range above current price. It's quite tempting and I have decided to place a bet.
Will disclose after the betting hours is ended. Anyone up for these bets ?

BTC - ETH

~

It's worth noting that the BTC price above $20k seemed unlikely a couple of weeks ago. However, everything has changed quickly because the bulls are back on the market, and BTC is already trading around 22k at the moment. So this time, I decided to take a risk and placed a small bet on the range from $22,5k to $25k because the odds for this range are 8.88, and it looks too tempting.

Wow, this is amazing, i didn't even know that Bitcoin has finally crossed $21,500 which has been the resistance for some weeks now, and finally touched $22,000, this is really incredible, I had some funds kept in usdt waiting for buy some more bitcoin below $20,000 since that was the price range when last I checked, seems my hope of buying at that price has been dashed..

Anyways, good luck with your predictions, and congrats to those who bought bitcoin at a lower price.

BTC has truly spiked up real good this time since just a few weeks ago it was trading around $16k and now its trading near $23k.
I just wish that it holds the surge in price well and doesn't fall back here onward.
I am just waiting for last moment since anything can happen because of high volatility.
Will be placing my bets on the price in next 48 hours.
1409  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Two Types Of Traders - My Personal Classification on: January 20, 2023, 03:03:53 PM
It's basically the one who knows all and the other who knows nothing. Obviously everyone would want to know all and would chose to be the awakened trader as you call it.
But the journey to be the same is where most give up and eventually fall into the second category.
It requires hard work and patience which is not present in many of them. This is why most of the traders eventually gamble their trades.
1410  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Many signals don't work now like they use to be on: January 20, 2023, 03:00:15 PM
Any good signals ?
Right now many signals don't work how they use to be
Yesrterday shiba signal long was given out from the trading signals channels still not moving.

I understood If there is no pmp but dont have Even the dmps what's going on ?

Traders going mad now depresion is here.

How long we have to wait ? Feels like we going insane crypto Market should function normally always when price High then it will fall immediately down so when we short we get Nice profit.

The question is Will we stay in crypto If it's not working ?
Unlikely we stay.

LMAO  Grin If you are trading crypto just with the help of those trading signals group then you are about to lose all your money.
Signals doesn't work in the long run. At some point of time you start losing money.
This is why you actually need to start learning about investing and trading.
Only when you get to know what it is actually about then you will find out the blunders you have been doing since the beginning.

i should have won 9k if i play normal roullete.  i play double ball roullete by mistake and got 2.5x instead of 3.5x.
they throw 2 balls at the same time.  not fan of this game.

i mistakenely choose this game.

here my chat with stake

https://imgur.com/a/UqVAtyi

From your posts, it sounds like you throw your money just like that at any game without any prior thinking.
It's a habit of a pure gambler and I know it must be tough to control your emotions when you lose.
It's good that you won a good amount of profits but at the same time you must be cautious when you are gambling.
You must think twice of what you are doing. One mistake can empty your account just like that in gambling.
1413  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you appreciate more Desktop or Phone on: January 20, 2023, 03:58:41 AM
I am strongly in favour of desktop applications or even web based, as I think that phones are usually to small and I do not really trust much the apps, but there seems to be many people who would rather use their phone. Is that because they do not have access to a desktop computer? It may also be a regional issue, the same as people that do not use a browser?

Even I prefer desktop applications and web based applications the most. You have already stated the two most important reasons for that.
Desktop provides a bigger screen and so the experience of gambling sites is better on bigger screens.
At the same time there are so many scam gambling apps which steals user data and so installing it on mobile is a huge risk.
Mobile holds most of our personal info and installing any such apps is a threat.
Besides that when we look at the ease of convenience then desktop apps are much convenient to use than mobile apps.
1414  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I sell motorbikes to buy bitcoins on: January 19, 2023, 04:33:58 PM
I have 2 motorbikes at home, but what I always use is only 1 motorbike, and 1 motorbike is rarely used, and indeed the motorbike is also old, and if it is sold it won't be too expensive, and I decided to sell the motorbike, because in my opinion the price of the motorbike will definitely fall over time,
(affected by inflation). and the money from the sale of the motorbike I will use to buy bitcoin. because in my opinion the price of bitcoin in the future will definitely rise. and also currently the market is bear, so this is a good opportunity to buy bitcoins. and I want to ask everyone, the decision I made, namely selling the motorbike and the money to buy bitcoin, is it wrong or not?

I'm ready to be corrected because I have no experience in bitcoin and crypto.

That's a good thing you have done. You should get rid of things you don't own.
Especially the ones whose value/price decrease over time. Investing it is a benefit for you all in all.
Invest it in bitcoin right now is a great decision because market is near bottom and we can see the prices spiking up again.
It's a good time to buy bitcoin. If everything goes right then your investment might double in the next one year.
1415  Economy / Gambling / Re: Freebitco.in - FUN Token Investment Experiment on: January 19, 2023, 04:30:37 PM
This is an interesting thread. I have around 6k FUN tokens in my freebitco.in account. I like spinning the WoF spins and getting some sats for free.
Just 6 more months and your investment period will come to an end. It will be interesting to see the results.
Since the prices of crypto have spiked up recently I guess the price of FUN token will rise in the span of next months too.
I hope we see some nice gains at the end.
1416  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: January 19, 2023, 04:20:12 PM
This is the reason why they call it gambling. You gamble for luck and if it doesn't favor you, you lose the amount.
This has what happened here. The gambler used $1.4 million but luck didn't favored him.
What I wonder is if he can gamble such a huge amount in one single bet then how much more would he be having.
1417  Economy / Gambling / Re: bc.game dice is better than stake.com dice on: January 19, 2023, 04:10:31 PM
The thing is. You can try playing the dice game on many different casinos and you will get different results on each of them.
You will have a good streak on some and bad streak on many but it doesn't mean that the ones you lose on are bad casinos.
Stake has been here since a long time and there are thousands of people using it regularly.
Keep trying different casinos and stick to them as long as you are winning and then change the casino.
This way you will maintain a good streak and will get to experience different casinos.
1418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My dream has become a reality on: January 18, 2023, 04:18:20 PM
That's great news. I hope 2023 gives you a good amount of income in bitcoin as well as increase your customer base.
There are few more things that you can try. You put your tailoring service online so that you can get a global customer base.
You can also start your own brand by stitching your own designs and then put it for online sale using bitcoin.
You can also partner with other brands which are using bitcoin.
1419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BTC to USDT? on: January 18, 2023, 04:04:50 PM
Hi! Is there an exchanger of some kind where I can send BTC from Electrum and convert it to USDT, so I can send it to a BitcoinATM at some point? I'm talking about an exchanger without any kind of registrations (other than email), verifications and whatnot. Thanks!

There are two things that I would like to say

1. You can directly send bitcoin to a bitcoin ATM. You don't need to convert it to USDT for transferring to a bitcoin ATM.
2. Many bitcoin ATM has some kind of registration. May be KYC or photo verification. So you can't escape from registrations any way.

If your motive is to get cash without any registrations then you should go for a P2P trade.
1420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana takes back top 10 position on: January 16, 2023, 02:27:40 AM
Back in the previous bull run Solana has been a very promising coin and had generated great profits for the investors.
But at the same time it was dumped heavily in the bear trend. Also, it had halted quite a few times in bearing trend which is definitely not a good sign.
I guess its good to invest a little portion of portfolio into SOL just so that we don't miss the boat.
